Everything was well again, and Zira was given a second chance to restart her life. This time, she won't return to her corrupt and evil nature that made her want to avenge her lover. Now that Mufasa has shown her the way on what was really going on, she wanted nothing to do with Scar anymore, she is a whole new Zira (once again), and now she has let go of all the past and negative emotions.

One thing on Zira's mind was: she was still feeling guilty about trying to kill Kion, clawing Kovu, and threatening to kill Vitani when she converted to Simba's side that one year ago. Deep Down, Zira couldn't believe that she followed a monster this whole time all these years. She couldn't be any more guilty and disappointed in herself like she was right now.

Granted, she reformed, and she is no longer the lioness that everyone feared and hated, but the guilt still didn't go away. She laid alone on top of Pride Rock and she was looking down at the valley below. She sighed and wished she could take all the evil deeds that she has done, back and never have even done these wicked deeds in the first place. While looking down, her kids climbed the top of the rock to check on her. "Mother?" said Kovu. "Are you alright? You've been up here for an hour."

"Just fine, dear." Zira sighed. "Look, Kovu, I am so sorry if I clawed you in the face like that when Nuka died. I know it wasn't your fault about what happened to your big brother." she looked at her daughter next. "And, Vitani, I'm sorry if I didn't treat you as my own daughter either, and when I threatened to murder you with that fight we had against Simba.

"Oh mother," said Kovu. "We told you. We forgive you."

"Yeah, don't let it get to you." Vitani added with a melancholy smile on her tomboy face. "What matters is that; we're a family again."

"Yeah, and you're not... your former self any more."

Zira made a small smile and she said: "thanks kids. I don't know if I can forgive myself after all that I have done. I worshipped the most evil Lion in these lands, and I have done horrible things. I know that Mufasa has talked to me about letting go of the past, but... there is a lot I wish to atone for."

"We a do things we regret doing, mother. Mufasa himself suffered that way some times. No one is perfect." Kovu pointed out to her.

"Granted, you're right, but... how will I face everyone after all that I did thing to kill Kion and all?"

"They'll understand." said Vitani, "'matter of fact, Simba and Nala are talking to some animals right now. They are telling them why happened and how you have really changed."

"Oh. Good. I wouldn't really blame them if they all shunned me. I was wrong about Scar and Kion was right after all."

"Ah, there you are, Zira." Kion came up the rock spire. "I was wondering where you were."

"Kion," said Zira, "can i really be forgiven for all the horrible things I have committed in my life as a blind follower of Scar? I have done pretty horrible things in the past."

"Oh Zira," Kion sighed, "we know about some things that were pretty awful, but, we can't change the past, and the least we can do is make up for our mistakes. We try and do good things and be better versions of ourselves."

"Good. At least I am forgiven by all of you."

"Of course we forgive you. You are family after all." Kion smiled. "So, I am really glad you put the past behind you Zira. I guess... I was right to follow my heart in trying to change you. I knew I would help you."

Suddenly, Kion felt himself being gently squeezed by Zira's arms as she pulled him in for a hug. It caught him by surprise, but he gave in the feeling and he hugged Zira back. "I really thank you for helping me." she said with her eyes closed. "Without you, I would still he lost with no guidance at all."

she looked at her two kids. "And I do thank you chilchil as well. I promise to be a better mother to you both from now on. I promise. The old, cold, merciless Zira is dead, and a bee Zira has been born."

"We know mother. We know." said Vitani. "Just bring it here."

both she and her brother joined in on the hug and it was a nice sight to witness, if there was anyone else around of course. "So, you want to go hunting later?"

"Of course. I am always ready when it comes to looking for food." Zira replied. "Just dave me some meat."

"And I'm feeling hungry myself."

"Ah, you're always hungry, sis."

"Oh shut up, future king."

Indeed, it was a very good thing Mufasa had shown her the error of her ways, and that she reformed one-hundred percent. Without him, Zira would have been lost and conflicted between good and evil.

"Pardon me," said a voice that sounded elderly and African-esque. "Zira, I heard about what happened with you recently." It was Rafiki, the wise, old, and humble baboon that warned Ono about Zira's brief betrayal before. "Mufasa also told me that you regret what you have done."

"Hello, Rafiki." Zira made a small smile. "Look, I promise you, I have changed for real this time. I an not lying."

"I know you are not, my friend. Mufasa told me everything that had happened. Now you realize how wicked and manipulative Scar was. He wouldn't keep you around because he liked you, or loved you."

"I know. I was just a pawn to him, nothing more." Zira admitted. "But, enough of that. That is all behind me, and I am in a new road of redemption."

"Well, we all forgive you, Zira." Kion reminded. "My mom, dad, everyone here forgave you. And, just go tell the other animals you're sorry."

"You're right Kion. But, for now, I must eat. I can't do it on an empty stomach, can't i?"

"Heh. Same here." Vitani agreed.

"Well I got to go make more brews for myself. Some lychee fruits have grown in a nearby tree and I want to get every last one of them before another monkey does." then the old mandrill went down the rock to get the fruits he wanted.
