While Kion and his friends were relaxing near a gigantic stone near Pride Rock and the Pride Lands were as peaceful as always. There was no Janja and his boys, or Reirei with her family causing trouble for the other animals in the Pride Lands, although they were still waiting for the Lion's Bane just in case they come back fie revenge.

Revenge is exactly what their new formidable enemies promised to defeat them with a more planned and determined way to kill these kids when they run into them again.

Still, they don't really have to worry about them just yet. No, Zazu told many birds that lived in these mands to keep a close watch on those wicked brutes if they do plan another attack on the Pride Lands, or the kids. Young Kion was just laying on the large rock, right on his belly while looking at his surroundings

While everything was at peace, Kion was just thinking of how he even met his closest friends in the first place. Not that it was a bad thing, but they were quite memorable to Kion's brain. "Hey Bunga," he said to the honey badger, "do you remember the day we first met?"

Bunga perked his head up on the rock and looked st Kion. "Yeah! How can I not forget the day we met? It was unbungalievable when we met! Zuka Zama!"

"Heh. Yeah, I know that. I just remember when I was still a baby and Timon and Pumbaa introduced you to me." Kion then thought of the day he met his first best friend back in the day. It was quite wild and fun between these two and how they built good chemistry.

Flashback

"Wow! You're the son of King Simba!" said younger Bunga. "It is quite an honor to meet you, Kion! Uncle Timon and Uncle Pumbaa told me so much about you!"

Meanwhile, young Kion was looking a little uncomfortable at Bunga's eagerness and over excitement, but he tried to keep a straight face on him. "Nice to meet you too, Bunga." he said a little nervous.

"Wanna see a diving trick I was working on?" Younger Bunga offered Kion.

"Uhhhh yeah, sure." was all Kion flatly replied. Both of them were near a waterhole when they first met and the honey badger went up a small, grant a nearby vine, swung on it a few times, and he did a backflip about five times.

"Zuka Zamaaaaaa!" Bunga shouted before he dived in the blue waters. The splash was so high that it was like a water bomb had hit this part of the grasslands, and it even made a gigantic wave that splashed all over Kion.

Timon and Pumbaa, who were with him, were also splashed, but they were used to the water. As soon as when Kion opened his eyes, he felt cold and he was soaking wet. Bunga got out of the pool and he looked at Kion.

"Ha! You look so funny! I can't wait to hang out with you some more."

He was laughing some more and Kion eventually warmed up to him and decide to have a little pool fun with him by splashing water at Bunga and they even wrestled in the shallow waters. Turns out; Kion liked Bunga's playfulness and he decided that Bunga was alright. It was a beginning of a glorious friendship between these two, and one of the most important ones in Kion's life.

End of Flashback

Kion and Bunga did remember that fun day they met, and they were starting to wish they would go back and re live the day they first met. Alas, they couldn't go back in time and look at that moment again, but that's fine, for they were still friends until the end. Fuli went up to the gigantic rock, and laid next to Kion. "Say, I remember the day we first met," she said with a smirk, gently placing her left paw on his back. "Don't you remember when we first met, Kion?"

"Oh yeah." the cub replied. "You were very fast, running past me when dad was showing me the ways of the Circle of life when I was a baby."

"Heh. Let me tell you, Kion. You were... cute when you were a baby." Fuli said. "I mean, with the tuft on your head back then, every lady would want you, cuddle you, and-"

"I- I wasn't that cute." Kion said defensively. He was starting to blush a little. "I mean, sure, I was a cub but I wasn't that cute."

"Yeah you were." Fuli said. "You were cuter than me. Especially how you were playing with your mom and dad."

"Heh. That sounds like a story to tell." Ono said.

Fuli's Flashback

young Kion was out in the Pride Lands with his family: Simba, Nala, Kiara, Kovu, and Vitani. Zazu was perching on a nearby tree that looked dead to make sure everything was swell for the royal, ruling family. The rest were with Kion, Simba, and Nala because they went to look for food to hunt for.

"Now Kion," said Simba. "The Circle of life is a very important aspect of Africa." Kion looked over at the plains and scattered trees, and even saw an elephant heard in a far distance from where the group was. Even though they were far away, they all felt the ground mildly shaking as they were feeling the footsteps of Africa's largest majestic creatures, along with rhinos, hippos, and giraffes.

"I hope those elephants don't squish us." Kion said, hiding behind his mother's front legs in the hopes that he wouldn't get trampled by those majestic giants. Everyone laughed from Kion's shyness and adorableness. "I mean, I hope they won't stomp on us."

Simba chuckled and said: "No, of course not. As long as you stay out of there way. They're so tall, they probably wouldn't even see you."

"Simba," Nala said, "don't say that. Of course they won't stomp on you. Just watch out for them."

"Anyway, if there was chaos, the world would fall out of balance, and that is why you have to eat what you are supposed to eat, and do not over hunt for food." Simba continued. "Now son, you have to respect other animals and how they live."

"Okay, daddy." younger Kion said. He looked over to where the Outlands were. "Hey dad, what's that shadowy place over there?" he pointed his left paw, and his parents looked at the direction he was pointing. "With those rocks and no grass?"

"THAT is beyond our borders, the Outlands." said Simba. "You must never go there, Kion."

"Why?"

"Because the Outlands are bad news, little buddy." said Kovu. "It's filled with evil animals like hyenas and jackals and venomous snakes and cobras."

"We actually lived there before," said Vitani. "And it is not fun, squirt. Trust me, you don't want to go there."

Younger Kion looked annoyed at being called that name, even at that age. "Don't call me squirt!" he shouted

"Hey hey hey, Kion, it's okay." said Kiara, trying to calm him down. "She wasn't trying to be mean to you."

"Yeah, it's just a name."

"Well, can you please not call me that? I don't like it when you call me that."

"Okay, okay, I'll stop calling you 'squirt', Kion." Vitani promised. Although, she was probably lying to him, considering the fact that she calls him that name later on in his life in present time.

Suddenly, Kion saw something move in the bushes at lightning speed, and heard rustling, waiting for something to happen. "Shh, what was that?" Simba whispered. "Did you hear something?"

Everyone kept quiet and waited for something to happen. There was more rustling in the grass and Kion looked a little scared. Suddenly, something pounced on Kion to the ground with a loud thud, and he looked up to see a cheetah. "Pinned ya!" it was a female cheetah cub. Kion was caught by surprise and he was struggling.

"Hey! Let me up!" he pushed her off with a pout. "Who are you?"

"Name's Fuli, the fastest animal in all the Pride Lands."

"Well, Fuli, can you please get off my son?" said Nala. "I hope you're not hurting him."

"Don't worry son, i'll get her for you!" said the father, coming to possibly maul Fuli to shreds with his claws and teeth. He growled, only to be stopped by Nala.

"Hey hey hey! Simba, she's just a cub."

"Sorry Nala, force of habit."

"No, no, of course not. Just practicing my pouncing skills, your majesty." Young Fuli replied. "I was just playing and I saw Kion."

"But, you're a cheetah, you can just run after your prey." Kion said

young Fuli made a small laugh. "Yeah, but when it comes to birds, I have to pounce before they fly away from me."

"Good point."

"So, you're Kion, right?"

"Yes. How do you know my name?"

"Name's Fuli, and i know your name because Rafiki showed you to all the animals in the Pride Lands, remember?"

"Oh. Right, I forgot about that a little." The lion cub shrugged. "Why did you pounce on me?"

"I couldn't help it. Sorry if i hurt you." Fuli said.

"No, it's fine. I... did it to Zazu once, and I kinda know how he feels to be pounced now."

"Okay. Well, you're interesting Kion. You try hunting before?"

"Well, my family's out teaching me right now, and teaching me the circle of life."

Fuli let out another laugh. "You're a laugh, Kion, i can't wait to hang out with you some more." she then ran off in a speed of light.

"Wow. She is fast." said Kiara.

End of Flashback

The two let out another laugh. "And, no hard feelings about the pouncing thing, Kion?" Fuli asked him

"Nah. That was a long time ago." the cub replied. "So there's no hard feelings about that at all." The cub let out a yawn. He saw a familiar lioness coming to meet him. It was a face that he recently met over the weeks.

It was Rani of the Night Pride. "Hi Kion!" she called out. "How are you?"

"Hey Rani. What brings you here?"

"Just thought I would hang out with you guys." she replied. "Mind if I sit with you, Kion?"

"Nah, it's fine. Go ahead."

Rani did just that and laid next to Kion on the stone. It was funny. Kion forgot that she was a little taller and bigger than him, not to mention a few years older than him. "So, did you guys have an attack by the Lion's Bane recently?"

"Actually... no." replied a bewildered Ono. "We haven't got attacked by them since we first defeated them."

"Normally, bad guys would just come up to us, and try and kill us in revenge." Beshte added. "But, the Lion's Bane has gone dark all of a sudden."

"Maybe they're trying to plan something smart." Bunga speculated.

"Possibly." Kion said. "Or maybe they fought one another and disbanded?" Kion suggested

"Nah, they're good friends. They swore revenge on us. Maybe they are thinking of a smart plan to try and kill us." Fuli remarked.

"Well, I wouldn't worry about them just yet." Kion said. "Let's just wait and see. We'll be ready when they do attack us again."

"Right!" his team said in determination.

"Well, I feel like going in that ho- I mean, secret place to relax in with you and your sister." Rani said. "Wanna hit that place again with Kiara?"

"Totally. Let's see if she and Kovu want to hit the secret place."

"What secret place?" asked Bunga.

"Sorry, we can't tell you where." Rani replied. "So, wanna hit it?"

"Sure thing. I'll get Kiara and Kovu and see if they wanna come with us."

"Okay."

They both found the future king and queen laying together and talking with one another. "Guys?" Kion said. "Don't mean to interrupt you, but wanna come join us at your... secret place?"

"Sure. I was getting bored." said Kovu.

"Yeah, I would love to go in there with you again, Kion. When it comes to you I'll do many things fun!"
