St the edge of Pride Rock, Simba and Nala were both looking overhead at the whole valley they ruled over. "I hope the kids, and Kovu are doing okay." said Simba. "Hope nothing bad happened to them."

"Ah, stop worrying, Simba." said Nala. "I'm sure they're just fine."

"Yeah, I don't mean to sound paranoid. I just worry about them, and... I'm glad that Kovu has his mother back and looks on me as a new father figure." In the distance, the king and queen saw the three with Adewale, and the three lions below looked a little hurt. They can tell for the three were limping a little towards Pride Rock.

Simba and Nala gasped looking down. "Oh no!" Nala said. "Zazu! Go and see what happened to them and what is that animal?"

"I have no idea. You heard Nala, Zazu. Go investigate that right away." Simba firmly ordered his major domo.

"Yes sire." Zazu saluted before swooping down to check on the three. "Simba, Kiara, Kovu!" he shouted from above them. He swooped closer and stopped in front of them and the Emela-Ntouka, flapping in midair. "What the devil happened to you all?" He mare a gasp. "Was it this monster?!"

"No! No! No!" Adewale exclaimed, proclaiming his innocence. "It wasn't me! I just saved them!"

"Yeah, it was the Lion's Bane." Kovu grunted. "They just appeared out of nowhere and ambushed us."

Simba, Nala, Vitani, Zira, and the other lionesses rushed up to their aid, and growled a little at Adewale, considering the fact that; they have never seen such a creature like an Emela-Ntouka before. "What did you do to our kids?!" Simba shouted at Adewale.

"Dad! Wait!" Kion intervened. "Ah! Sorry, my left leg hurts a little. Adewale didn't hurt us. It was an ambush by the Lion's Bane. He saved us from them."

"Yeah daddy, listen to Kion." said Kiara. "He saved us!"

"What happened?" asked Nala.

"We told you, Nala." Kovu reminded, "the Lion's Bane came out of nowhere and tried to kill us. I think Makucha bit my back."

"They speak the truth, your majesties." said the Emela-Ntouka. "I mean your children, or any of you all any harm whatsoever." Adewale was trying to sound as calm and professional to the lions as possible."

"I do not buy a word that this... this... monster says!" Zira protested the explanation. "I say we should kill this beast for attacking my son!"

"No!" Kion, Kiara, and Kovu all shouted, standing firm in front of the rhino-like beast. "We won't let you hurt him!"

Simba and Nala looked surprised by this and they realized that they were serious. Besides, if this creature did hurt or attack these three, he would charge and try to kill the whole Lion pride. "Well, okay." Simba said. "But you so look hurt. Come on, why don't you come inside?"

"Thanks, dad." Kion said gratefully. The four went inside Pride Rock with the other lions and Nala got a better look at the scratches and wounds that the Lion's Bane inflicted on them. "Oh no." Nala said. "You got a few scratches on you. This blood."

"It's okay, mother." said Kiara. We're fine. Thanks to Adewale."

"Adewale huh?" asked Simba. "You saved these three?"

"Yes, my liege." the Emela-Ntouka nodded his head flatly. "I mean all of you no harm. As your children had said; I have saved them from their enemies. It was the Lion's Bane that was trying to deal away with them."

"Okay, i guess we believe you." said Vitani. "Probably need Rafiki to help you guys out."

"Good idea, Vitani." said Simba. "Zazu, get Rafiki here straight away."

"Yes sir." Zazu saluted again before flying off to find the wise old mandrill.

"What exactly are you?" asked Zira.

"I am... an Emela-Ntouka." he replied. "And I know you have never seen a creature like me before."

"What does the name mean?" asked Nala.

"You would not be able to handle the truth if I told you the meaning."

"Tell us." Simba said, calmly and flatly.

The beast looked at Kion, his sister, and brother-in-law, and they all nodded a Yes to him. "Very well. My name means: Elephant Killer. But I swear, I am not a savage beast."

"Elephant Killer?" said Nala. "Well, the horn on your nose does tell us the name is... fitting."

"I don't know. You look pretty dangerous." said Simba, still looking suspicious. "Are you sure it was the Lion's Bane?"

"We're telling you the truth, dad." said Kion. "If you don't believe him, at least believe us."

The king and queen looked at their two children, and then back to Adewale. "Well, I guess we believe you if you say he didn't hurt you. But, we'll get a few scouts and see if we can find the Lion's Bane."

"We'll make them pay for what they had done to you three." said Vitani. "Even if it's the last thing we do. When I see that stinking Harif again, I will break his little neck and bleed out like an elephant's boil being popped!"

the other lions looked at her, looking a little scared at her bloodlust. "Uhhh, Vitani?" said Kion. "I know you mean well, but don't you think that what you said would be going too far?"

"Well... okay, maybe I did go a little bit too far, but, they almost killed you."

"Like mother, like daughter." Kovu muttered, obviously talking about the similarities between Zira and Vitani. "Look, Adewale is a misunderstood kind of animal."

"Granted, I have used my horn as a weapon, but only for defense. The reason why you do not really see more of me is that; we're more rare than most animals here, and we like to seclude ourselves from the rest of animal society because... most animals that see us would run and fear me and my kind. We're better off alone."

Simba, Nala, and the other lionesses looked as sympathetic as Kion, Kiara, and Kovu were when they first met Adewale. "Well, we're sorry if you feel secluded, Adewale." said Simba. "I understand why you feel this way. But, I see you are not a monster. You are like any other animal in these lands."

Nala then added: "yeah. We're sorry if most animals treat you like monsters. But, we can help you and your kind fit in with all the other animals in the Pride Lands."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" said Zira. "He could he dangerous, he could be-"

"Mother..." kovu lightly scolded her.

"Very well. But first, we should tend to those scratches those goons have inflicted on you."

"As soon as Rafiki gets here that is." Sarafina. "Can you three still walk?"

"Don't worry about us, grandmother Sarafina." Kiara reassured "we'll be fine."
