Best Friend's Brother 2

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or any of the characters used aside from my OC.

Upon arriving to her art class, Natsumi was surprised to see that the students had been assigned seats, unlike the other classes. It was odd, yet she did not let it worry her as she quickly went about reading the names on each desk before finding hers and beginning to settle in. Unlike the other classes, this one didn't hold the lecture hall lay out, instead being in large blank room, with the desks being larger than average at a slanted adjustable angle.

"You must be new" said the sudden voice of a woman, Natsumi assumed to be the teacher. The women had dark wavy long hair and piercing red eyes, she wore a red and white patterned blouse with a black pencil skirt that hugged her figure and black high heels, she was beautiful and intimidating at the same time, but she offered the young girl a smile of warmth.

"Yeah" the girl replied offering her own smile to the lady. "Is it that obvious?" Natsumi added on with a slight laugh.

"You're the first one to class." the women replied gesturing to the empty room, and making the young girl's eyes become round.

"Oh" Natsumi said feeling slightly embarrassed, and causing the women to laugh.

"It's fine! I'm Kurenai sensei" the women introduced herself, holding out a hand.

"Natsumi Nakamaru" the young girl replied taking the women's hand.

"Well if you have any questions, I'm here and I hope you enjoy my class." the woman finished releasing Natsumi's hand and beginning to make her way to the next student that entered.

Natsumi noted that she had seemed to make it a habit to greet each student that came into the door.

'She's nice' Natsumi thought returning her attention back to her desk and hoping that this would be a class she enjoyed.

The next to enter was a boy she'd recognized from lunch, as the brother of Gaara and Temari. When the brown haired young man noticed her, he gave the young girl a slight smile and wave as he walked by to find his seat. Natsumi nodded in acknowledgment of his presence, noting that he was a few seats down from her.

'At least I'll know one person and Kankuro doesn't seem like the type to make a scene so I don't have to worry about any Sasuke drama being brought up.' Natsumi reasoned as she continued to observe the students greet the teacher before finding their seats. She noted that the class was going to be a small one, as not all the seats were filled.

'Oh yeah, Naruto mentioned that someone was getting their schedule fixed, maybe other students are doing the same and we'll have more to the class later' Natsumi thought folding her fingers and resting her elbows onto the desk.

It wasn't long after that she made that observation, that the bell rang leaving about 10-12 empty seats.

"Alright everyone looks like it's time to start class" Kurenai-sensei announced clasping her hands together. "As you can all see the walls of my class our blank. That's because I'm leaving it up to you to fill them with pieces from each unit we do this year." She continued walking around the class. "This year we'll be looking at several different art styles in order to broaden your horizons creatively and get you out of your comfort zones. We're going to be getting to know each other very well in this class as your art is an extension of yourself, so don't be so shy seeing as I plan to greet you all every class" she went on with a smile.

The quick introduction to the class and the topics to be covered went by quickly, before Kurenai sensei had allowed the class to visit freely. Yet that wasn't the case as Natsumi observed both seats on either side of her were empty. She didn't seem so bothered by this, as she simply let her eyes wander around the room, only now noticing the formation the seats were in, were set into the shape of the leaf symbol for the school.

'That sure is creative' Natsumi thought letting her eyes fall onto her teacher. The woman had currently occupied herself at her desk, busily on her computer.

"Not much of the talkative type are you?" Kankuro suddenly asked, catching the young girl's attention.

"No not really" Natsumi commented as she watched the brown haired boy take a seat in one of the unoccupied desks beside her.

"So how do you like the school so far?" he asked offering the girl a half smile.

"Its fine" she replied resting her cheek on her hand as she looked over the young man, but showing no sign of emotion.

'She's a lot like that Sasuke guy with how stoic she is' the boy thought looking over the young girl.

"Problem?" Natsumi asked noticing the way his eyes observed her.

"Oh nothing just being nice" Kankuro lied with another smile.

"Hn" the dark haired girl responded turning her attention to the clock on the wall.

'Yup just like that Uchiha' the young man continued on in thought, looking at the girl's bored expression. He hadn't bothered trying to talk to the other few students in class, as he already knew that they were already divided into their own various cliques, just as they had done the previous year.

'I wonder what this Kakashi-sensei will be like' the girl thought letting her mind wonder, seemingly forgetting about the boy beside her as she counted down the minutes on the clock.

'I really hope Sai gets his schedule worked out, otherwise this is going to be a pretty quiet art class this year' the young man thought leaning back in the chair, as he folded his hands behind his head.

Suddenly Kurenai- sensei cleared her throat loudly, catching the attention of her students as she stood to make an announcement.

"I'm sorry guys but it seems I forgot to mention I'm going to have two college students interning under me this year but they won't be here daily, so don't be alarmed when they do show up" the women announced, causing the class to erupt in excitement.

"I wonder who they are"

"I hope they're good looking"

"What's with all the college interns this year?"

'I wonder if he'll be one of them' Kankuro thought, letting a serious expression cross his face.

Not long after this, the bell rang and Kurenai-sensei waved off her students in dismissal.

Walking into her next class, Natsumi found it to be quiet the circus. Her eyes wandered over the various faces that filled the room, glad that she had recognized some familiar faces, and even happier that everyone seemed so enthralled in the presence of their friends, that she could slip in undetected. As she began to slowly make her way through the room, she caught sight of an unusual event.

"Sasuke, would it be alright of I sat here?" the girl Sakura asked sweetly, before suddenly being pulled back by the blonde, Ino.

"Move it Billboard brow, Sasuke doesn't want to sit by you!" an angry Ino all but yelled. Just then another girl walked up to the desk, causing both Ino and Sakura to tackle her over and all three seemed to be in a death match. Natsumi sweat-dropped at the sight.

"I don't see why you're all so worked up about Sasuke" Naruto's voice suddenly rang out, catching the attention of all the girls.

"SHUT UP NARUTO!" they all seemed to scream out in unison.

"Oh boy" Natsumi exclaimed, slowly making her way around the situation, in hopes to not be noticed. Her eyes quickly flickered around the room, trying to find a seat that wasn't occupied or a desk without someone sitting on it. She was pleased when she spotted a few towards the back, especially when she noticed one by the red headed boy, Gaara, from lunch.

'Yes a seat far enough away from all that drama!' the dark haired girl inwardly cheered as she neared the boy who seemed to be sleeping as his eyes were closed. She slowly began to reach her hand out towards the young man, when a shout stopped her.

"Natsumi!" Naruto's loud voice boomed, nearly giving the young girl a heart attack. "I saved you a seat!" he yelled with a huge smile, as he pointed to the vacant desk beside him.

'Great' Natsumi thought sarcastically, as she noticed the stares she received thanks to the blonde's shouting. She had considered waving off his offer, in order to avert the attention from her, but upon returning her attention to Gaara she saw his blank expression starring at her as well. In that moment, the girl lost her nerve, and was further put off when his brother arrived and claimed that empty seat.

"Oh Gaara you saved me a seat!" Kankuro exclaimed with a smile.

"Okay" Natsumi replied with a fake smile, turning back to Naruto, who smiled further in success. The young girl quickly made her way to the vacant seat beside the blonde, but before she was able to set her things down, she was once again interrupted, only this time by Sasuke Uchiha.

"Natsumi, you should sit here" the boy stated, bringing silence to the other teen girls as he spoke.

"Maybe Natsumi doesn't want to sit by you" Naruto stated smugly with a big smile, bringing a sigh of relief to both Natsumi and Sasuke's fan girls, which were still fighting over that seat.

'Thank you Naruto' the young girl thought letting out a breath.

"Maybe she thinks I'm way cooler than you, and wants to sit by me!" Naruto said proudly pointing at himself with his thumb and a huge smile.

'Idiot' Natsumi thought letting a brow twitch.

"She'd still be sitting next to you dobe, just on this side, instead of that one" Sasuke explained.

"What did you just call me?!" Naruto replied angrily.

"Tch" Sasuke replied beginning to ignore the boy, who now glared at him.

"Well are you going to sit here?" Sasuke asked turning to look at Natsumi. The girl could feel the dark aura begin to rise from that fan girls.

"I thought Sakura was going to sit there" Naruto thought out loud scratching his cheek in thought, and revamping the fan girls to resume their war for the seat.

Letting out a sigh of relief once more, Natsumi began to return her attention to the seat in which she was about to claim, but when she turned she was met with a kind smile from a pale boy with black hair and black eyes, who now sat in that seat. She could tell he was rather tall, although he was sitting; he wore the same male school uniform as everyone else, except for his undershirt being a black turtle neck instead of the white button up and tie.

'What's with this school's dress code? Seriously what's the point of the uniform if the students all end up altering them?' Natsumi thought with a look of confusion crossing her features.

"Hello, my name is Sai" the young man said continuing to smile at the perplexed young girl.

'The boy Naruto mentioned at lunch' Natsumi thought looking over the young man.

"Sai I told you, you couldn't sit there" Naruto suddenly exclaimed entering the exchange.

"Actually, you said that you were saving the seat for a friend, and I assessed that since I am your friend, you saved the seat for me" Sai explained in a happy tone, which made Naruto clench his fists.

"The seat was for Natsumi" Naruto now explained very irritated.

"Oh she is your friend too?" Sai asked, turning to look at the girl. "She seems much too good to be your friend" he said returning to smile at Naruto, who had to be restrained from hitting him.

"Why you" an angry Naruto seethed in anger.

"Well if you are a friend of Naruto's you must not have many friends, so I will be your friend too" Sai now stated turning to face Natsumi again, and causing her jaw to drop.

'I can't believe this guy!' Natsumi thought, starring at the young man, before she felt two hands grip her shoulders and lead her away, looking up, she was shocked to see it was Sasuke, leading her to the vacant seat. He quickly brought her to the desk, pulled out the chair, and sat the young girl down.

"It was nice meeting you Natsumi! I'm glad we're friends" Sai said leaning forward and looking towards a still shocked Natsumi. Her only reply was an awkward smile and nod, before she saw the death glares Sakura and Ino sent her, and she then turned to look at Sasuke.

"What are you looking at?" he asked looking at the girl, who rolled her eyes in reply.

'Well isn't this just grand?' she thought rhetorically, bringing her head to the desk as she prayed the bell would ring and class wouldn't continue to be so hectic.

As if on cue, the bell sounded, causing all the commotion to end as Natsumi heard her classmates shuffle to their seats, and all was quiet. Natsumi found the silence to be comforting, in contrast to the noise and drama from earlier, but what she found odd was that it went on for a little longer than natural. Lifting her head, she looked towards the front of the class and noted that their teacher was absent.

"He's always late" Naruto suddenly exclaimed loudly, breaking the silence.

"Would you shut up Naruto?!" Sakura said loudly in annoyance.

"I'm just saying Kakashi sensei never shows up on time" the blonde explained, before being hit by a paper ball.

"Shut up Naruto!" Sakura now yelled.

More time passed as the students now grew weary waiting, and began to fill the class with chatter yet again.

'Wow this teacher really is late' Natsumi thought looking from the door to the clock, and as if right on cue again, the teacher entered the room, causing the class to silence themselves.

"I'm sorry I'm late guys, I got lost on the path of life." The man spoke, with the disbelief and annoyance evident from the class, as he laughed it off awkwardly with a closed eyed smile.

While the class chastised his excuse, Natsumi could feel her heart stop as she watched the man. He was beautiful. He was in his late 20's – early 30's, tall, with silver gravity defying hair, dark black eyes, and a medical mask hiding half his face. Something else the girl had noted was his scar over his right eye. He wore a white button up with the sleeves rolled back, his black tie hung loosely around his neck, and he also wore black pants, a black belt and black shoes.

'He's incredible' Natsumi thought getting lost in thought over the man, but she quickly snapped back, when he began to talk. His name was Kakashi sensei and he would be her teacher that year. In his smooth voice, he had explained his rules on being late (ironically), being involved, and working with others, taking direction, and the class syllabus.

'I'm in love' Natsumi thought happily as she tried to contain the smile that currently crossed her face.

"What are you smiling about?" Sasuke suddenly asked bringing the girl off her cloud of happiness.

"None of your business" she retorted defensively.

"Tch … probably something stupid" he replied turning forward.

"'Probably something stupid'" Natsumi imitated, bringing Sasuke's attention back to her.

"Shut up" he retorted.

"Make me" she challenged.

"I will" he said.

"Sure you will" Natsumi replied sarcastically, further angering Sasuke.

"I will!" he shot back, this time gaining the attention of the class.

"Sasuke! Natsumi!" Kakashi suddenly yelled, regaining the attention of the two students. "Iruka sensei told me about you two this morning" he stated making both students shrink back in their seats, as the sensei made his way towards them.

"Yup it was hilarious Kakashi sensei" Naruto intervened; now catching the attention of the silver haired man.

"Naruto, didn't I make it a rule that you and Sasuke couldn't sit by each other?" the sensei thought aloud looking to the blonde who simply smiled at him before replying.

"You sure did Kakashi sensei, but we're not sitting by each other, we're sitting by Natsumi" Naruto explained putting his hands behind his neck with a victorious smile on his face.

"So it seems" Kakashi replied raising a brow at Naruto's logic, before returning to look at the dark haired girl and infamous Uchiha. He put a hand on each of their desks, as he leaned down to further look at the two. "You love birds need to keep it down until teachers allow you free time to socialize." He said with another closed eyed smile causing both students' jaws to drop, and their faces to turn similar shades of red.

"We are not love birds" both said in unison, earning laughs from the class, sensei included.

"Sure you're not, but either way keep it down" the sensei replied casually making his way back to his desk. Natsumi quickly turned to glare at the Uchiha, but was met with his onyx eyes already starring her down.

"Aw young love" Kakashi exclaimed as he sat in his desk and rose his hands towards the pair again, this time causing the class to look at them and laugh, while the pair quickly averted their attention away from one another.

'This is the worst' Natsumi thought starring up at the clock, as she could still feel eyes on her and hear laughs.

"Anyways, you guys can go ahead and use the rest of class as you please" Kakashi stated pulling out a book of his own and beginning to read. Yet even with this announcement, Natsumi didn't dare look back to Sasuke's direction, so the young girl took out her phone to distract herself from the room.

"Natsumi, could I have your number?" Naruto's voice suddenly rang out, surprising the young girl.

"Sure" she replied holding out the object as the blonde happily began putting in his information.

"You're really giving the dobe your number that easily?" Sasuke's voice soon sounded, catching Natsumi's attention.

"Yeah" the girl replied turning her head to look at the Uchiha.

"Hn" Sasuke replied turning his attention to the clock, and causing Natsumi to roll her eyes.

"Here you go!" Naruto exclaimed proudly handing Natsumi's phone back to her. Other than that the rest of the class was uneventful as the other students talked and Natsumi caught herself starring at the teacher from time to time.

After class ended, Natsumi watched the students who didn't have the Kakashi sensei for math, pile out of the room while everyone else, including the teacher, remained still until the next bell.

Kakashi sensei then stood and gave the class introduction, proceeding to go over his class rules and the syllabus, before letting the students use the time as pleased, and returning to his book.

"Hey Natsumi" Kiba said suddenly popping up from behind the young girl.

"Hi Kiba" she replied not taking her gaze off their silver haired teacher.

"So I was wondering do you have plans after school?" the young boy asked casually, catching the attention of a certain Uchiha, who quickly tuned into the conversation.

"I don't think so" the dark haired girl answered now turning to look at the brunette who currently wore a grin.

"That's cool because I was going to take my dog, Akamaru, for a walk after school, and I was just wondering if you wanted to come?" he asked kneeling down beside the girl, flashing a smile that showed off his canines perfectly. A blush crossed Natsumi's face as she noticed the boy put his arm on the back of her chair, and brought him closer in proximity.

"She can't we have to work on our presentation" Sasuke suddenly said catching both teen's attention.

"I don't recall asking you, Uchiha" Kiba then stated turning to glare at the dark haired boy.

"Natsumi's too nice to turn you down so bluntly" Sasuke then stated turning to look at Kiba, with a bored expression, who now wore an angrier look.

"Who said she would turn me down?" Kiba asked now standing up and taking a step towards Sasuke menacingly, before being stopped by Natsumi, who had held an arm out in front of him. He gave the girl a confused look.

"As fun as that would be Kiba, Sasuke's right" the girl stated. "Actually it's my fault, since I asked him if he was free after school first" she explained, as Kiba growled in annoyance and made his way to his desk, obviously upset.

Taking a deep breath, to steady her nerves, Natsumi turned to look at Sasuke, who had already been watching the girl with his onyx hues. Yet, when noticing Natsumi looking, he quickly turned his attention to the front, making the young girl sigh in annoyance.

"You're a real work of art Sasuke Uchiha." She breathed out resting her cheek on her palm, as she found herself staring into space.

"Hn" he replied looking to her relaxed posture. "And you're such a walk in the park?" the boy asked rhetorically, earning an eye roll from the girl.

"Wow I can't believe that all happened last hour" Hinata exclaimed raising her brows in disbelief.

"Believe it" Natsumi responded dejectedly, as the girls rounded the field on their fifth of twelve laps assigned to run on the track.

'Usually on the first day of a PE class, we get a syllabus and lockers, but this guy really wanted us to get into it now' Natsumi thought with a sigh, as her gaze traveled down to look at the school issued PE uniform and how surprisingly well it fit.

"I feel a little bad for Kiba" Hinata admitted breaking Natsumi's train of thought as she started looking back to her friend who ran slowly with Shino, obviously not his usual energetic self.

"I know I do too" Natsumi replied furrowing her brows. "And it wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for him" she now said angrily motioning towards the front of the class, at Sasuke who ran ahead of everyone. Natsumi narrowed her eyes at his fast moving figure, before being disrupted by a giggle from Hinata. Turning to look at said girl, Natsumi gave her a confused look.

"I've never heard a girl talk that way about him" Hinata said with a smile. "They all usually 'love' him" she went on using air quotes around love. Natsumi laughed at this as well.

"Come on ladies, let your spirits of youth carry you in this warmup!" the eccentric teacher, Guy sensei cheered running past the girls, shortly followed by his star pupil, Rock Lee.

"How do they have so much energy?" Natsumi asked raising a brow in confusion, only to receive another laugh from Hinata.

"They've been like that since forever" she responded.

"He's lapped us like three times" Natsumi exclaimed as she pointed out their teacher now making his way past the front of the class.

"Well he always does double the laps we do, running the first half and the rest on his hands" Hinata explained as if it was the most normal thing ever.

'She has to be kidding' Natsumi thought in disbelief as she watched the sensei and student, with very similar appearances, hype each other up to run even faster, both tall with black hair in a bowl haircut, with large bushy eyebrows and both in green one piece jumpsuits. 'Thank god those jumpsuits weren't standard issue' Natsumi thought, observing the pair and then noting the stark differences in the male and female uniforms. The boys being given navy blue track suits with white t-shirts and running shoes, while the girls were issued maroon track suits that had shorts with tighter white shirts and white running shoes.

"So when are you meeting with Sasuke to work on your presentation?" Hinata asked, bringing Natsumi out of her thoughts.

"Um I'm actually not sure" the girl admitted sheepishly, grabbing the back of her neck. "I think after class" Natsumi thought out loud.

"Did you want to ask him to be sure?" Hinata asked shyly.

"I have his number, I could text him later" Natsumi replied, shrugging her shoulders.

"Because we could catch up with them" Hinata offered gesturing towards the front of the class. Looking up at the front, Natsumi quickly noted the blush on Hinata's face, before a grin covered her own.

"Oh you know I think you're right" Natsumi spoke calmly. "We can catch up with them … Sasuke … and Naruto" Natsumi stated, watching the blaze of color light up Hinata's face.

"W-well we could if you want" Hinata said growing nervous.

"Come on then" Natsumi answered happily, as both girls sped up and soon reached the pair.

"Hey guys" Natsumi announced as the girls arrived alongside the boys.

"Natsumi! Hinata! It's good to see you guys caught up!" Naruto exclaimed happily looking at the two.

"H-hello N-Naruto" Hinata said shyly, looking towards the ground.

"So what made you two want to join us up front?" Naruto asked with his normal big smile. Hearing this, Sasuke slowed his pace to listen.

"W-we-well I-I I mean Natsumi needed …"Hinata began before being cut off by Guy-sensei, who was once again lapping the teens, with Lee by his side.

"What an amazing display of youth, you girls are displaying, by making it to the front!" the man exclaimed happily, making Natsumi's jaw drop at how he'd passed them again.

"What makes you think they wanted to join you? Maybe they were simply striving to better themselves" said the voice of the teacher's pupil Rock Lee.

"I doubt that, all the girls are too focused on looking good than breaking a sweat so that's why they all like to run at the back to keep it easy for them." Naruto said pointing back, following where he motioned, sure enough was every girl in class, with the exception of Kiba and Shino of course.

"Are you saying that we need should be taking it easy at the back?" Natsumi asked, feeling slightly offended by his comment.

"What? No! I just –" Naruto began to try and explain as he sweat dropped.

"You just made an assumption based off of biased gender stereotypes" the girl cut him off in a monotone voice as the blonde could sense a dark aura surround her as he grew slightly worried.

"Jeez Natsumi I didn't mean anything like that" Naruto said quickly holding his hands up in defense as the group continued their laps.

"I agree with the dobe for once, you should do what you're accustomed to so you don't get in the way" Sasuke suddenly said catching the teens' attention.

"Really?" Natsumi asked raising her brows as her head snapped in the direction of the Uchiha.

"What? No I didn't mean it like that at all!" Naruto rambled quickly as he could feel himself start to sweat nervously. "Shut up Sasuke!" the blonde then angrily yelled towards the black haired boy.

"You shut up Naruto!" the Uchiha shot back, earning a glare from the blonde.

"You talk so big, but I bet you can't back up that talk" Naruto said back in a challenging tone. "Let's race around the track for the final laps right now!" the blonde exclaimed pointing at Sasuke.

"You can't seriously think you or any of the girls for that matter would be able to keep up with me, do you?" Sasuke replied in a harsh tone, striking a nerve with not only Naruto, but Natsumi as well.

"You are on Uchiha" Natsumi and Naruto replied back in unison, catching both in surprise.

Making their way around the field, to where the class was first released to start running, the three came to a stop as the other students followed suit to gather and watch. The trio of students lined up and waited as Hinata was somehow relegated to announce the start.

"Go!" the girl announced, sending the teens off. Sasuke looked over and was surprised to see Natsumi was keeping up with him; something Naruto had only started doing after much training.

"What?" the dark haired girl asked, taking notice of the stare the boy had toward her.

"Nothing" he replied returning his attention forward, before taking notice to the entire class who had begun cheering. Much to his dismay, most of the girls, had stopped as well and was causing quiet the distraction.

"Where the hell did they get signs from?" Natsumi questioned, now taking notice to Sasuke's cheerleaders.

"They always have them" Naruto answered loudly, making Sasuke shake his head in annoyance.

"Ah" Natsumi replied slightly weirded out.

The rest of the run was silent as the trio progressed through the first four laps, each time trying hard to ignore the cheering of the class when they passed. The final lap came and the three students pushed hard to pass one another. They were neck and neck; the class had stopped cheering in anticipation to see how it would end. The three rounded the final corner of the field before breaking into a full sprint all the way to the finish line. After running through the teens quickly turned around looking to the class to see the results of who'd won.

"It was … a tie!" the pupil Rock Lee exclaimed in disbelief, shocking all the teens and particularly the Uchiha, who looked at Naruto and Natsumi in shock.

"You've … got … to be …kidding" Natsumi said breathlessly, as she placed her hands on top of her head.

"Damn it … you … better … have called… it … right" Sasuke now breathed out, but this theory was quickly put to rest, upon hearing the rest of the class.

"Whoa did you see that?"

"I really thought Sasuke would have them beat"

"She actually tied with Sasuke and Naruto"

"I thought she was going to lose for sure, but she kept up with both of them"

"I'm surprised she even tied"

"You know from where I'm standing it even looked like she won"

The voices of the many classmates sounded, further shocking Sasuke, who could only turn his head to look at the young girl, but turned away when she caught his eye.

"THAT WAS AN INCREDIBLE DISPLAY OF YOUTH!" the loud voice of Guy sensei sounded as he stopped in front of all the students. "Races are the ultimate challenges to push past limits as we try to exceed not only ourselves but rivals! Just like my rival, Kakashi Hatake and I" the man finished pointing to himself with his thumb and offering the class a bright shiny smile.

"Is it really a rivalry if Kakashi sensei always wins?" Naruto suddenly asked, knocking Gai sensei off his high.

"Gai sensei is an incredible role model, teacher, and competitor! He does not always lose, as he and Kakashi sensei were tied for a short time in their rivalry!" Lee shouted pointing at Gai sensei in pride.

"Yes we must all learn from even the smallest of tasks, as anything can be accomplished through the power of youth!" Gai sensei exclaimed pointing upwards dramatically as Lee clapped in admiration, and the rest of the class watched nervously raising brows in question.

"Gai sensei you are an inspiration!" Lee cried, as his eyes began to water and he balled his fists.

"You two" Gai sensei suddenly said turning to point at Natsumi and Sasuke. "You've got 60 points of extra credit for that outstanding race of youth, why don't you walk a lap to catch your breath and then get some water" the man finished with a smile, before turning back to the rest of the class. "As for the rest of you, don't think I didn't notice you not finishing those laps, so to make up for that lack of youth, you can all run an extra 5 laps." Gai sensei stated crossing his arms, as the students chorused in groans, before starting to run again.

"Wait a minute I ran that race too! What about me?" Naruto asked angrily raising a hand as he spoke.

"Well Naruto if you still have energy to run that mouth then you must have energy to run in general, and if you finish the laps with the class, I'll give you 80 points of extra credit!" Guy sensei exclaimed, making the blonde grind his teeth as he started running.

"Jeez he's tough" Natsumi exclaimed watching as the teacher began to run with the class yet again.

"Hn, you'd be surprised at how he manages to do this with every class." Sasuke replied nonchalantly as he watched Natsumi raise her brows in astonishment.

"No way" the young girl thought aloud, as she watched their teacher hype up each student until the whole class picked up on their pace. He seemed proud to have encouraged them, but Natsumi had a feeling they only moved faster to get away from his rants.

"You didn't really come to the front just to pick a fight with Naruto, right?" Sasuke suddenly asked, bringing Natsumi's attention away from her show of the students.

"Not really" Natsumi replied with a nervous laugh as she thought back to how Hinata had suggested moving forward to see Naruto.

"Well why did you?" Sasuke pressed, watching the girl's nervous habits, as she grabbed the back of her neck and smiled at him.

"Do you want the truth or the cover?" the dark haired girl asked innocently, making Sasuke raise a brow in suspicion.

"Both" he replied.

"I think I'll just tell you the cover" Natsumi replied.

"What do you mean you're only going to tell me the cover?" Sasuke said with irritation evident in his voice.

"I don't feel obligated to tell you the truth" Natsumi answered honestly, shrugging her shoulders, much to the dismay of the dark haired boy.

"Hn" he responded obviously angered.

"I wanted to ask when and where we were meeting up" Natsumi suddenly said catching the boy's attention as he looked over her.

"Then what's the truth?" he questioned, looking for any trace of an answer on the girl's face, but she wore a blank expression.

"Should we get water now?" the girl asked turning to look at the boy, and meeting onyx eyes.

"You're not going to answer me?" he asked in disbelief.

"I'll race you to the water fountain" the girl suddenly exclaimed with a childlike wonder appearing in her eyes.

"Then will you tell me?" Sasuke asked coming to a halt.

"We'll see" the girl responded, before smiling at the boy, and then suddenly taking off into a full sprint towards the fountain, further surprising him as he now had to play catch up.

'This first day … actually wasn't so bad' Natsumi thought looking back to an annoyed Uchiha, with smile on her face.

A/N: And that is chapter 2 I know taking 2 chapters to describe her first day is a little excessive but otherwise the first chapter would've been super long so that's why I thought cutting it down would be best. Yet even with cutting it into two separate chapters, they are both still pretty long. But I digress, I hope you enjoyed and are ready for the new chapters to come, as I'll try my best to upload every Sunday but for now please remember to read and review
