Kion and Rani were in Pride Rock, and they were requesting Simba and Nala to look for Adewale and his family of Emela-Ntouka so they can pay him a visit in the jungle over where he lives. Simba, being the king, was a little reluctant because he is Kion's father after all, and he didn't want him to accidentally step on a forest cobra and get bitten by his venom, or get ambushed by a crazy leopard who doesn't take kindly to intruders in his territory. Granted, he knows how strong and brave (internally and physically) he was, but he still worries about his family because he loves them dearly with all his heart. "Well, Kion," he said: "It sounds like a long journey, and still."

"Come on dad, it won't be a long trip, and you know how powerful I am. I can easily scare away any animal that tries to hurt or kill me with my Roar of the Elders. I have it while others do not." Kion explained. "You know how careful I am. Please dad?" the cub gave him a sad look in his eyes, looking like he was about to cry in desperation.

Simba and Nala knew that their only son looked so adorable with the baby cub face. How could anyone say no to Kion's adorable face? As a matter of fact, Simba ultimately gave in with a smile on his face. "Ah, I know you can take care of yourself. I even believe you could start your own pride someday. So, for that, I will let you go over to Adewale's home. As long as you will be careful, and not fall into quicksand, or fall in rapids in a river-"

"Simba," Nala chuckled. "Please, our boy knows what he is doing."

"I know."

Simba and Rani smiled, and they told Simba they will be careful and will be back before sundown. "I hope you and your girlfriend will have fun." said Nala

"Girlfriend?" Kion and Rani blushed red on their cheeks while they said that in unison.

"Nala, they are friends. Besides, they haven't know each other long." Simba chuckled

"Oh. Sorry." Nala said

"No, it's okay, mom." Kion said. "See you guys soon." the two cubs went off and into the Pride Lands to come into the jungle to meet Adewale. In the jungle, being tropical as it was, was a little humid, but they will probably find a river to keep themselves from getting so hot. After all, this is the exact place Adewale pointed him to find him at.

Kion panted a little, and swiped his head a little. "Phew, it's so humid in this place. Feels like you are in a place full of hot springs."

"Yeah, but I've been in worse. As a matter of fact," said Rani, I almost fell down the pits of Kilimanjaro once, and it was so hot I almost died."

Young Kion looked surprised hearing that. "What? No way." he said to himself.

"Way." Rani looked confident and bold. I almost fell down, but then, a kori bustard came and save me before I could fall into the lava."

"Why were you on Kilimanjaro?"

"Well, I wanted to prove to my mom and dad I can handle myself, even though I am still... technically a cub. I got grounded for two whole weeks, but it was all worth it."

"Hmm. Well, I wouldn't do anything like that. Only when necesarry like saving lives from danger. I'm not like my dad, he used to laugh in the face of danger. He got in trouble with my grandfather at times, but it was always good. My dad said that grandfather Mufasa was a very wise and humble king. I know I've said this before, but, you would love him."

Rani smirked before saying: "yeah. I think you did tell me that before." they stopped to take a breather and look for a nearby river or lake to drink out of (water not murky and green), and they didn't find anything.

"Maybe we can look for water when we get to the lake Adewale told me about."

"Yeah, hopefully." Ulimately, they traveled for a few more miles, and in the deep jungle, they saw a large group of Emela-Ntouka around a large lake, and it was about fifty of these magnificent creatures.

Rani looked in awe, and so did Kion, and for a good reason. Rani had never seen an Emela-Ntouka until now. From a distance, Adewale was talking to his wife and what appeared to be a calf. A distinctive feature about them was that; females were one foot shorter than males. Another intriguing feature was the females had shorter ears and shorter ears than males, and a darker green color.

The calf that Adewale was talking too had to be Kobee. No other calf would do that with any other Emela-Ntouka, unless if they were their parents. Kobee looked as if as the other calfs around this area, and the female had to be the mother.

Kion and Rani walked over to then cautiously just in case any of the beasts would attack them both. All the Emela-Ntouka just looked at Rani and Kion as if they were guests of honor. Adewale looked at the cubs and he smiled, happy to see Kion and Rani. "Ah, Kion. I am glad you have found my humble home." he greeted the Male cub in a calm voice.

Kion then said: "glad to be here, Adewale. I didn't think I would find it at first."

"Well, being the leader of the Lion Guard as you are, I was certain you would find me here sooner or later."

Kobee got a closer look at the two cubs and he was sniffing at them like a dog sniffing a stranger. "Ooh, you have a peculiar owner."

"Kobee." Adewale reprimanded him. "That's not very polite."

"Sorry dad."

"Kion, this us my son, Kobee, and this is my lover, Khenut."

"A pleasure to meet you, Kion." said Khenut. "Adewale told me a lot about you and your accomplishments as the new leader of the Lion Guard. Still a cub, perhaps, but you are stronger than you look."

"Thank you Khenut. Pleasure."

"You look cool, Kion." said Kobee. "I've never seen a lion before."

"And who is your girlfriend?" Adewale added.

The two cubs were blushing again and they looked a little embarrassed wjime looking at one another. "She's not my girlfriend."

"I'm not her girlfriend." Rani added. "We're just friends. Besides, we haven't known each other long."

"Oh. My apologies." said Adewale. "I did not mean to offend you."

"Don't worry about it. My name is Rani, the heir to being the queen of the Night Pride."

"Night Pride?" asked Khenut. "What is the Night Pride?"

"The Night Pride is a group of lions that I am glad to be a part of, and we are the ruling leaders of the Back Lands, a territory close to the Pride Lands. I've been through under a dictatorship with an evil lion named Ramses, but my parents overthrew him and became the new ruler."

"That sounds quite a story to tell about." said Adewale. "Since you are here, you must he thirsty."

"Yeah. We do need a drink." said Kion. he and Rani got some drink from the river and felt refreshed from the humidity of this deep jungle. "That felt nice."

"Did your parents give you permission to be here?" Asked Adewale.

"Yep. And they were okay. With it." said Kion.

"Well, mine don't know that I am here, but I can take care of myself." Rani added. Besides, they would probably freak out of they found out." she looked around at her surroundings at the animals. "So, you guys are Emela-Ntouka, huh? Kion told me about you guys."

"Indeed we are." said Adewale.

"But some animals do not like us because they have never seen us before." Kobee remarked.

"Which is because we are rare out here." Khenut added.

"Despite our rather... brutish appearance, we are like any other animal." Adewale reassured. "We only use our horns for self-defense or if we have to use them."

"I showed him around my home, Rani." Kion said, "and most animals hit it off with him. He wanted to feel more accepted and not be judged before anyone could know him."

"Huh. Well, I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid of anything. Except... lava, and dying." some of the Emela-Ntouka laughed.

One other male with a higher voice asked: "who wouldn't be afraid of dying?"

"No argument." Adewale agreed. "But it is good to meet another face that does not fear us or run away from us. Kion, you would not believe how much you mean to me, and my herd."

The cub was touched hearing those words, and he asked: "what do you mean?"

"You have shown me the good in life. Your father, and most animals in the Pride Lands all warmed up to me, and it could be the new beginning of a new relationship between Emela-Ntouka and other animals."

The two lion cubs heard cheering and yelling of joy from the other Emela-Ntouka around them. Indeed, Kion was feeling proud of himself for creating a new alliance between these creatures, and all the other animals that got to know this gentle giant. It could he a new start for them, and they wouldn't have to be seen as monsters to most animals anymore.
