During the night, Kion was having close comfort with his big sister, and it made him so much more relaxed while sleeping through the thunderstorm of the Pride Lands. Despite some thudnerclapping, he knew that there was nothing to he afraid of.
Kion knew that he couldn't just make the rain stop with magic, for he didn't have that kind of power to do so. The only magic he had was: the Roar of the Elders on his side, and the raisn are natural in many parts of Africa, such as the Pride Lands.
Of course, on the upside, more rain means more water for the other animals to drink and more fish to swim in. All the animals that will be thirsty can look for more water than they usually have you keep themselves hydrated for the whole season. Everyone was sleeping so peacefully in the caves through the nights and everyone was okay with the rainy seasons, because it was a regular chuckle that repeats year after year.
Sleeping through the night, Kion was having a nice dream where Mufasa and Sarabi were still alive, and were with Simba, their own son, once again. He knew how much his father missed his own father, and how he hasn't filly recovered from the lost if the Lion he called: "dad."
Alas, these things cannot be changed, and no one can change the past. But it wasn't that bad. No, when Kion and his family members die out someday, they will he reunited with Mufasa and Sarabi where they can be one big, happy family again.
Snoozing through the night, the morning came and there was still some clouds in the sky, but it wasn't raining that much anymore. It stopped completely, and everything in the Pride Lands were as wet as the ocean.
Kion was the first to awaken and he slowly got out of Kiara's arms to take a look at the outside world and see how much it changed since the storm yesterday. One downside was that, it felt more humid out here, because of the raindrops evaporating kn the ground, and the grass was all wet from the storm.
"Wow. Look at this." he said to himself. "I wonder if the Lakes and rivers have risen yet?" he sat on the edge of Pride Rock, and looked at the surroundings. In the distance, he saw that the river that was normally a little narrow, suddenly turned wider and bigger than before. "Wow, Beshte's going to love that. But, I wish it wasn't so humid out here."
"Good morning, Kion," said Simba, walking up to him. "Looking at the Pride Lands again, my son?"
"Yeah, dad." the cub answered the king. "Look at the river out there. I bet it might be more dangerous since some crocodiles and tiger fish will be living in there."
"No doubts about that," Simba concurred, "but it is still part of the Circle of Life, and the least we can do is try not to come to their territory by trespassing."
"Even if you're a king?" asked the cub
"Well, even a king like me has his limits. Always remember that. There are rules that even kings have to follow."
"Good point."
"And besides, with more water, there will he more food to find she est while hunting." he gave him an amused smile. "More bluebuck, more dik-dik, more sable antelopes to look and eat."
"No doubt about that. But first, I need a drink."
Simba smile and went to the watering hole for his morning sip of water. While sipping, he saw a couple of buffalo, kudu, eland, and other hoofed mammals having a sip of the water as well. Kibango, the serval, was also present, and the two zorillas that Kion and his friends helped out were drinking the water too.
Indeed, the rains were a blessing to all of Africa, and water was nature's nectar. As soon as he was done, Kion went back to Pride Rock and he was greeted by his sister and brother-in-law, looking warmly at him. "Did you sleep okay, Kion?" asked Kovu
"Yeah. I did. I heard thunder every once in a while, but I still slept okay."
"Good." Kovu smiled.
"Heh, you're the leader of the Lion Guard after all." Vitani smirked, "you're as brave as Bunga." then she ruffled his mane playfully. "Did any rain give you the cold shoulder?"
"Vitani," Vitani said, "be nice."
"Don't worry, Kiara." the tomboy reassured. "I'm just joking with him."
"Well, I think I need a bath." Kion admitted.
"Not a problem." Nala said from behind him. "I'll help you with that." he grabbed his head by her teeth and placed him in between her arms before licking his head and back.
"Oh no." Kion said. "What did I just say that for?"
"Oh come on, Kion. Mom used to give me baths when I was a cub all the time, so did dad."
"I know, Kiara.
"It's nothing to be ashamed of." Kovu added.
"Did Zira ever do that to you?"
"Well... no." Kovu admitted.
Zira frowned with guilt, and said: "I know, but I am trying to be a better mother now, as I promised."
"Let's see what his mane looks like when it's combed to the front." the tomboy lioness teased.
"Oh quiet, you." said Kion with his eyes narrowed in irritation, but it just made Vitani chuckle in amusement.
After the bath was done, Vitani then pulled a little prank on the cub by shouting: "oh no! Janja!"
Kion made a small yelp, and looked behind him. "Where?! Where is he?"
"Hahahaha! Oh, that never gets old." Kion growled as Vitani ass laughing. "Vitani, come on. Leave him alone." Simba said. "Be nice to him."
"Okay, okay, got it."
All the lions were up and about their business and while laying on the rocky ground, Kion saw a yellow butterfly with wings as big as his head, and decided to play with it, and use it as a pouncing practice.
Little did he know that he wasn't paying attention to where he was going. He tried catching it with his arms and his right leg suddenly slipped on an edge of the long slide stretching from the entrance of the caves, and he fell while exclaiming: "WHOA!" at the top of his lungs, and then he hit his head on the grassy ground below the bridge of Pride Rock.
A couple of lions noticed this and screamed in horror as Kion had fallen. Simba screamed: "KION!" at the top of his lungs, and rushed to his aid, along with the rest of Kion's family.
"Oh no, what happened?" Kiara said.
"Kion fell off the edge and landed on his head." Simba replied
"What?! My baby!" Nala shouted in horror. "Is he okay?"
Zira gently felt his neck for any pulse as the cub laid unconsciou, and indeed, he was not dead. "Oh. He's... still alive." she said. "But we should take him to Rafiki while we can."
"Good idea." said Kovu.
Kiara carried him on her back, and he was still unconscious from the fall, and everyone hoped Rafiki could do something about this little problem.
