In the Outlands, it was a little bit of paradise for the animals living over there. Jadiri and her friends were enjoying a drink from a gigantic puddle from the rains last night. It was the biggest puddle yet, and it was the hardest rain they have gotten in a long while now. "We really hit the jackpot today, guys." Jasiri said after drinking some water.

Her closest acquaintances agreed with her and they resumed drinking the pond after. Yes, it was a nice touch for the Outlands since it doesn't get as much rainfall as the Pride Lands do.

Meanwhile, in another part of the Outlands, Janja, Cheezi, and Chungu got their fair share of water too. "Man, that hits the spot." said these hyena. "Still, I wish that we could have some breakfast like... a kudu, or wildebeest."

"Ooh! Ooh! Maybe they might rain down from the sky!" the crazy hyena said.

"Oh shut up, Cheezi." Janja said, "that is just impossible. Granted, I wish that would happen, but it can't."

"Maybe if we close our eyes and keep them closed for ten minutes, maybe it might work."

"You shut up too, Chungu."

"Sorry, Janja." said his cohorts as they both continued to drink the water from the pound of their own. "I wonder what Kion has been up to." Cheezi said

"Heh, probably froze to death because that rock they call a home wouldn't hold off against the rain." Janja scoffed.

Chungu then let out a burp before he said: "or what if he got struck by lightning?"

The leader let out a chuckle hearing those words. "Ha! I would love that." he said. "But maybe we can look for some more food out there since the rain has stopped. We just need to find a good spot to not get detected by Kion and his band of twerps."

"I call dibs on the buffalo!" Cheezi exclaimed.

Back with Jasiri and her friends, she said: "you know guys, I haven't talked to Kion in a little while now."

"What's stopping you?" asked Madoa. "You know Kion well and his parents have no problem with us."

"Good point, Madoa." Jasiri chuckled. "You know what? I think I should visit over there. You guys can come with."

"Well, me and the girls don't want to intrude or be interlopers." Madoa said, looking unsure. "Not to mention some animals giving us a hard time, you know, because we're hyenas and all."

"I'm sure that if I'm with Kion, all the animals will open up to me. Either him, or his parents would help me out. So come on, fellas." Madoa sounded a little skeptical still, but she knew that Jasiri was the leader of this clan, and she would never question her authority in any way. For that, she agreed at last.

"Well, okay. We just need to be careful."

"Of course." As soon as they were heading to the Pride Lands, Mzingo was flying overheard, looking menacing with his long wings while in the air. He saw Janja and his cronies from below, and he smiled before swooping down to greet them all.

"Pardon me, Janja. I hope I am not intruding." said the vulture.

"Nah, it's cool, Mzingo." Chungu said

"What's going on with you?" Janja asked

"Listen, I could be absolutely wrong, but Kion had a little... conk on the head, and he has completely lost the memories of his most cherished moments, and what his family is. He might not even remember the Lion Guard, or everything that it stands for."

Janja looked surprised and a wicked smile appeared on his face, realizing what this meant for him and his two friends beside him. "Interesting..." he said. "Lost his memory, you say?"

"Well, I don't know for sure." Mzingo admitted. "I heard it from one of my vulture cronies while hovering above the Pride Lands. He also said that Kovu himself is leading those pesky kids."

"Ohhhh. That sounds really interesting." Janja said. "This could be our chance to do whatever we want in the Pride Lands with no one standing in our way, fellas.

"But, what about Kovu?" Cheezi asked

"Bah, he doesn't have the fancy-pancy Roar of the Elders like Kion. Speaking of which, it could be our chance to have our revenge against him for always meddling in our affairs."

"Ooooh, I like the sound of that." Chungu said. "We can make him scream real good when we're done with him. Maybe we can eat him as our next dinner."

"Totally. I concur with you fully, Chungu." Janja said. "But, since I'm learning of you clowns, I get the first dibs on eating that stupid cub."

"Just save some for me too."

"Yeah yeah, I know Cheezi. You'll get your share."

"What are you waiting for then?" asked Mzingo. "If you are going to do whatever you want, biw is the perfect time." then he flew off. The three hyenas knew what was going on now, and things would not look good for Kion when he sees the hyenas when they try to... finish the job.

Fast as lightning, the three hyenas ran out of the Outlands to do whatever they wanted to do and look for anything good to eat on, or anything they can get their teeth on. Despite Kion's memory loss, Kovu was still a tough Lion while leading the kids on their patrol in the lands.

Another thing would be: would Kion recognize Jasiri and her clan? Or will things get ugly between the two sides? Perhaps Rani would be able to help Kion remember what Jasiri is, and what the hyenas mean to the Circle of Life.

The Lion Guard needed to find these three before they find Kion and Rani next, otherwise, things will go ugly, very ugly. Of course, even with memory loss, Kion would still be able to use his claws and teeth, even for a young cub his age, and Rani, a teenage lioness by his side to cover his flank.
