Kion, Rani, Jasiri, and her clan of hyenas were fighting off Janja and his clan still. Both sides were putting up a good fight and Kion was trying to claw at Janja himself when he was face-to-face him personally.

"Come on, Kion. You cannot win." Janja said. "Just give up."

Snarling, Kion replied: "never! I would never surrender to a mangy hyena like you!" he showed his sharp teeth and he was trying to remember how handle goons like him. He was trying to remember so hard, but all he could think of is claw and biting him.

"You just don't know when to give up, do you?" Janja snarled.

"Well... no." Kion admitted. "I really don't. But it doesn't mean j can't fight. I don't understand why yly want to kill me, anyway."

"You have been a thorn in me and my boys' side for too long, Kion! But you probably don't remember those times."

Admittedly, Kion still didn't remember those times he and his friends foiled the plans of these three hyenas. Still, his friends were in trouble, and he needed to help them and defend them from these three. "It doesn't matter!" Kion argued. "I can still fight you.

"Tough talk from someone who has suffered memory loss. Tough, yet foolish." Janja sneered. "So come at me, kid!"

"You've asked for it!" Both of them clashed and Janja sligjtly had the upper hand and held the Lion cub with his two paws laying on his chest. "Get off me!" the cub grunted as he was trying to get free of Janja's clutches.

"Fat chance!" Janja exclaimed. Suddenly, something big and dark tackled Janjaz tickling ti the right side and yelping like a scared dog. It was Kovu and he was looking pretty angry with his bare teeth showing while gritting them. "Kovu?!" said Janja

"Leave my brother-in-law alone." Kovu snarled menacingly.

"Well, you sound just like Scar."

"No. I am nothing like him."

"Oh yeah?" Janja taunted him. "Then why do you have that Scar on your eye? Coincidence? Huh?"

"Shut up!" Kovu barked as he clawed at Janja's face. "I am not Scar, I am me!"

Chungu and Cheezi went to their boss' aid to check on him. "Janja!" Cheezi exclaimed. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, fellas. Don't worry about me."

"You will suffer for that, future king!" Chungu angrily barked at Kovu before charging at him. Since Chungu was the most physically powerful member of this troublesome hyena clan, and it helped him get an advantage on Kovu in a fight.

"Get off me!" Kovu grunted as he and the bulky hyena were rolling and tumbling in the grass. Ultimately, Kovu managed to throw Chungu off and landed into a tree, making him very dizzy. The other members of the Lion Guard came soon after, and they were more than ready to fight off Janja and his clan once more.

"Get out of here, Janja!" Fuli said. "Or you'll be sorry!"

"Sorry?" said Cheezi. "You kids are so annoying!"

Ultimately, the three delinquent hyenas saw that they were outnumbered, and simply ran off back into the Outlands to plot their next move. "Well, there they go again." said Bunga.

"Kion, are you okay?" asked Kovu.

"Yeah, I'm fine, Kovu. Don't worry about me. Those hyenas didn't hurt me so much." the cub said.

Kovu smiled with relief. "Good." then he noticed Jasiri, her clan, and Rani the lioness with him as well. "Oh, Rani, Jasiri, what a nice surprise." he greeted them warmly. "What brings you here?"

"Me and my friends wanted visit him because we haven't seen him in a while."

"And I just wanted to say Hello." Rani added. "Me and Jasiri met, and there was a misunderstanding, got in a little fight and, now we're getting to know each other." the future queen of the Night Pride looked a little guilty and uncomfortable about the little ruckus she and Jasiri had before.

"Ah." Beshte said. "But you should know that Kion lost,"

"We know, we know." said Jasiri. "Kion told me everything that happened to him."

"Yeah, we're really sorry that he lost his memory." Madoa added. "We wish we can bring his memories back in an instant."

"Well, like I said," Kion reminded, "my memories are slowly starting to come back to me."

"Do you remember the fun times with me, and Kiara?" Kovu asked the cub curiously.

"I... don't." Kion bowed his head a little.

"Oh, it's okay. You'll get them back. I know it."

"Although I do remember Janja and his friends now." Kion added. "and all the time they caused trouble in the Pride World,"

"Pride Lands." Bunga corrected.

"Right, sorry."

"That's good. It means you're getting them back." said Rani.

"Yep. it is."

Later in the Day

Jasiri, Madoa, and the rest of that hyena clan were at Pride Rock with Kion and Rani since Jasiri wanted her clan to meet the king and queen of these very lands. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you all." said Simba to the rest of the clan members. "Do you help keep peace in the Outlands?"

"Yep. Although my parents do that work since you made peace with them." Jasiri added

"Oh. Right. They mentioned that before." the king remembered.

"Well, it's good to hear that Kion is getting more of his memories back." Nala said. "Really, it's good."

"Yeah, but who knows when the rest of the memories will come back to him." said Madoa. "You said he needs to not suffer any more head injuries or he will be like that forever."

"That's right." Simba said. "But i'm certain he won't suffer any more head injuries. He's a careful boy."

"He sure is." Nala agreed.

Meanwhile, Kion was sitting with Rani, Kiara, and Kovu on the summit of the rock, looking at the scenery from below once again. "So Kion, let me tell you something," said Kiara, "You were the cutest little baby when you were born."

"Really?"

"Yep. And I remembered the first time you touched my nose, and mom's nose."

"And then mine." Kovu added. "The way you were squeaking for your mom."

"Well, that sounds adorable." Rani stated with a smirk. "I wish I could have seen you when you were a cub, Kion."

The poor cub blushed hearing that, and he said: "well, I don't know if I wanted you to see me, Rani. Granted, I don't really remember the time when I was a cub." he looked away slightly. "Was I... really a cute cub?"

"Oh yes." said Kiara.

"Well, I will take your word for it."

"And you still look so cute now." Kiara added.

"Well, thanks, I guess." then Kion was beginning to remember more of his memories of what he was when he was a smaller cub than now, even with his parents and his big sister. All the running and fun they had as a big family, and all the prey they were eating together as a family dinner. Those were the good old days for Kion when he was a baby. "I... I'm starting to remember now."

Kiara, Kovu, and Rani smiled with hope. "Really? what are you remembering?"

"The times when I was a smaller cub and I was hanging out with you guys." the cub replied.

"Good. Very good." Kiara said. "So, what else do you remember?"

"I think I am remembering... my first hunt."

"Ooh, that's one worth remembering." said Kovu. "It was a small royal antelope that you killed and ate. Even I would never forget that."

"Yeah, I remember it's face when I saw that royal antelope." Kion admitted. "And there was also..." next, he remembered the time he first discovered the Roar of the Elders for himself, and became the official leader of the Lion Guard. "The roar," he said, "The roar of the Elders."

"Really?" Kovu asked. "Do you think you can show us, Kion?"

"I... I think so." he got up, and looked at the empty valley behind Pride Rock, and there was no animal to hurt with his uber powerful roar that he learned to become the leader of the new Lion Guard. Kiara, Kovu, and Rani stood back as they were about to watch Kion do his best trick. The cub was silent for a moment, but took a deep breath and gritted his teeth before emitting the Roar of the Elders with his eyes closed. A powerful wind was blowing from his direction and the clouds behind him formed into lion heads, and the roar was quite ear-piercing.

Kiara, Kovu, and Rani looked very impressed and their jaws dropped at the ground from looking at it's power. After a brief pause, the three went up to Kion to commend and congratulate him for remembering the roar, and giving out his best one yet. "I... I did it." Kion said.
