Kiara had found Kion in the cave of gems, and she still had an evil, wicked smile on her face. Kion knew that something was definitely wrong in the air. The cub slowly backed away from her and he looked scared. "Kiara, snap out of it." Kion begged, "it's me, don't you remember?"

The corrupted future queen chuckled before replying: "of course I remembered you, little brother. What kind of question is that?"

"Well, you notice your eyes are... red and not their normal selves."

"I am just evil now." Kiara replied. "And there's no need to be afraid. This is your big sister you are talking to. Come on, Kion, do not be scared. I just want to give you a hug."

Poor Kion looked more scared than before and he found himself backed up into Kovu, whereas giving him his evil smile. "You're going about this all wrong, Kion." said the future king. "We won't hurt you. You are like the little brother I always wanted in my life."

"That's nice of you, Kovu." Kion replied nervously, "but i... gah!" With a spurt, he dashed under Kovu and ran away after Kovu unsuccessfully tried to grab the scared cub. Ultimately, Kion found his parents, Vitani, and Zira smiling when they found him, and he was running faster than before.

"Where are you going, Kion" Vitani asked. "We still have so much more to talk about." Running out of the cave, he looked back and saw his brainwashed family hot on his trail again, relentlessly chasing him. Kion was running as fast as he could, and wished he was as fast as a cheetah or a falcon while diving in the sky.

One advantage to the cub was that due to his small size, he was able to outrun the adult lions behind him. He had no time to stop and think, he needed to get away from them as fast as he can. "I need to find someplace safe." he panted to himself while still running.

On the ground, he saw that some venomous snakes and cobras had the same eyes as the lions behind him, and they tried biting Kion with their fangs, but the cub was lucky and fast enough to avoid them.

From a couple of trees, a small band of baboons jumped down with their eyes red as well. "Is every animal here in the Pride Lands been turn evil except for me?" He thought to himself. "What if this is just a nightmare?" He then saw the river in front of him and stopped in front of it, thinking if he should jump in to save his own hide or not.

His brainwashed family was getting closer and closer and the cub decided that he has no choice but to do this. Without a second thought, he bumped into the river and dove down in the water, and swimming in the direction the river was going in. The pursuers stopped in front of the one side of the river and looked for him.

"Where did he go?" Asked Zira

"Oh! I see him in the water!" Nala pointed, "he's swimming the direction the river is going to."

"Good eye, Nala." Simba said. "We cannot let him get away or master will be angry with us." The adult lions followed Kion the direction he was heading to, and the cub peeked over to see them all running and looking at him. Realizing that he wouldn't be able to win this one, he got it if the river on the other side of it, and didn't even bother to dry himself off.

He just ran off some more and tried to not get captured or even killed if his brainwashed family was turned evil enough to do it. "What am I going to do!?" He exclaimed. He then thought of his friends, and wondered where they were. If those snaps and baboons like brainwashed, maybe they could have been brainwashed too. Over in the trees, he saw a familiar, small shs slender figure, a hornbill to be exact, and be smiled with hope. "Zazu! Boy, am i glad to see you. My family is brainwashed and trying to kill me and I don't know what's wrong with them."

"Oh no. That sounds serious." Zazu replied. It sounded like he was sympathetic, but when he swooped down and looked at the cub face-to-face, Kion's spirit sunk lower than before. "But I can help you find your way back. Heheheheheheh." He chuckled evilly. Yes, he too had those gleaming red eyes on him.

"No, not you too!" Kion said. He panicked and swiped his right paw at him, knocking him to the bark of the tree he was perching on before.

"Is there no one I can trust?" Kion said to himself. Suddenly, he bumped into someone familiar and it was Kifaru, Beshte, Fuli, Bunga, and Ono together, all looking unaffected by this brainwashing aura. "Guys!" Kion never felt so happy and relieved before. "You're not evil!"

"No, but my parents are." Beshte said.

"My parents don't have red eyes, but we don't know what's going on right now." Kifaru added. "What's happening?"

"I don't know. I want to know too." Kion said.

"We can't stay here." Fuli said, "they're coming!"

"Way ahead of you!" Bunga said. "Let's get out of here!" The kids found themselves running for their dear lives and Bunga tripped before seeing Timon and Pumbaa in front of him, looking brainwashed also. "Uncle Timon, Uncle Pumbaa, snap out of it!" Bunga pleaded, "it's me!"

"We know, kid. We know." Timon said wickedly. "We just want you to join us."

"Yeah, and be a part of our leader's family." Pumbaa added.

Suddenly, Rafiki rushed into action, bot looking affected, and he displayed a kung fu lose, the crane pose to he exact. Without warning, the mandrill pulled out three fruits and threw it in front of Simba and the other brainwashed lions. After a few seconds, the fruits exploded a very stinky gas and Rafiki looked at the unaffected group. "Come with me if you want to live."

The kids did just that and followed him to the tree of life. The wise kid monkey then stoped in front of his home and pulled down a bark in the shape if a door with no knob and revealing a passageway inside.

"No time to explain, get inside my tree!" Rafiki said.

The kids did just that and Rafiki closed the bark up on the base of the baobab tree so that no one will notice this. Turns out, this little affair was getting worse.
