Kiara was still keeping Kion company while he was still trapped in the tarry cocoon. He had his eyes closed, for he was sleeping. He tried and tried breaking out of thr little cocoon, but it was no use, for it was stronger than he thought, and just took a nap, thinking that more hope could be lost after all.
"Oh, you look so adorable." Kiara whisperd in his ear. "Everything will be okay, Kion."
Simba and Nala went up to the siblings and blinked their red, brainwashed eyes. "At least Kion is asleep. Maybe he is about to give in after all. Perhaps lord Inuwa will figure out what to do with our son. What do you think, Nala?"
The brainwashed queen on the Pride Lands smiled evily, and she replied: "i agree, Simba. Once he turns into one of us, everything will he fine for him. He knows that revisiting is futile."
Kovu then said: "he just doesn't know how great the owner our master gave us truly is. Kion will love the power that our master will give him."
"Should we kill him?" Vitani asked.
"No, of course not." Simba said. "He is family after all."
"Inuwa will help Kion soon enough." Kiara said.
Meanwhile, Inuwa walked over to where Adewale and the other Emela-Ntouka were standing in the fields. At first, the evil, dark magic lion was a cloud of purple and black mist, but turned solid agsij when he landed on the ground. "Emela-Ntouka?" he said. "Who might you all be and what do yoy all want?"
"Are you the one causing the sky to glow red?" Adewale asked.
"Perhaps I have." Inuwa tampered with his sparkling claws on his right paw. "Why do you care if I have made the sky the color of blood?"
Adewale grunted and growled before replying: "what kind of a creature are you? Abd what is your purpose for coming here?"
Inuwa made a small laugh before answering: "what is my purpose? Why, my purpose is to exact revenge on the Pride Lands by conquering it under my iron grasp. Mufasa defeated me, but now that he is dead, nothing will stand in my way now."
"Maybe the Lion Guard will come and help." Kobee whispered to his father.
What the calf suggested made the dark, demonic lion laugh cruelly. "The Lion Guard, that is too precious. You actually think the Lion Guard can help stop me boy? Please. They are nothing byt children playing pretend, and embarrassing Scar's legacy. Besides, I already have Kion in my clutches."
"What?" Adewale, Khenut, and Kobee gasped in horror.
"Yes. That Kion thought he could run away from me, but he was sadly mistaken. He is only a naive child, and he couldn't think that he would have a chance against me. Of course, it was understandable why he would run away. He knew he couldn't defeat me at all."
"Where is Simba?" Khenut asked. "He will not stand for this!"
"Oh, is that so?" Inuwa had a smug look on his face. "I influenced the darkness in their hearts turn them evil."
Adewale and his family, along with his herd sounded shocked by this, and refused to believe something as crazy as that. A great king like Simba under the control of this evil lion's magic? That does not sound possible. "That cannot be." said Adewale.
Suddenly, a nearby springbok came, and he had evil red in his eyes too. "It is possible." He said, "lord Inuwa has become the new lord of the Pride Lands. He is powerful and strong woth his powerful magic."
"What happened to you, gazelle?" asked Kobee.
"He is under my influence and I have unleashed the darkness in his heart to overcome what he used to be." Inuwa replied wickedly, "like I have done Simba, abd bis family.
"Kion too?" Khenut asked, becoming more scared.
"Well no." Inuwa admitted flatly, "but he will be evil soon enough. Heh heh heh."
"We won't let you do this, Inuwa!" Kobee exclaimed in fury. His parents tried to stop him so that he wouldn't get hurt by this evil being. "You'll never get away with this! We won't let you!"
"Kobee no!" Adewale held his son back. "You are not strong enough to take him head-on!"
Inuwa laughed in amusement and said: "You have fighting spirit, young one. You and your family will make excellent followers under my rule."
"No! We want no part of this evil, demonic magic!"
Suddenly, Rafiki came down from a nearby tree and was face-to-face with the evil, demonic lion of shadows. He showed off some more kung fu poses and he was ready to fight this evil lion for causing such darkness to fall over these sacred lands. "Not so fast, my old foe!" said the baboon.
"ah, Rafiki. It has been a long time since we have met, my old friend "
Growling, Rafiki used his staff to hold him in midair and kick Inuwa on the right side of his torso, making him grunt and fall to the ground, making him angry. "GRRR, you will suffer for that, Rafiki!" Inuwa roared and charged at the elderly monkey.
Luckily, the old baboon stopped him by dodging and holding Inuwa in a headlock with his staff, choking him. It seemed to work for a moment, but Inuwa made a small explosion to pry him off, and making Rafiki crash into a tree. It didn't hit the monkey hard enough to kill him or make him unconscious, but made him dizzy from the impact.
"Rafiki!" Adewale exclaimed. "You have to get up!" Angered by this even more, and he was hardly one to become infuriated so much. He charged at Inuwa and before his sharp horn could hit Inuwa, the magical, dark lion turned into mist and reappeared behind Adewale.
"Too slow, weakling." Inuwa taunted.
Growling, Adewale swung his horn to try and impale and gore this evil being. Once again, Inuwa evaded by turning into misy again and teleworking to the Emela-Ntouka's left side of his torso. "Stop moving!"
"Oh don't be such a sore loser." Inuwa taunted him some more. Before Adewale knew what was happening next, he felt a powerful wave of dark magic hit him and made him fall on the ground.
"Dad!" Kobee exclaimed
"Ade!" Khenut added.
In slight pain, the Emela-Ntouka slowly got up and panted. It was just then Rafiki regained consciousness, and wielded his magical staff again, more serious than ever. "You will pay for that, you foul being!" he exclaimed, "Mufasa, guide me."
The fight between the baboon and tbe evil lion continued and they were fighting more ferociously than ever before. It looked like Rafiki had the upper hand, but then the springbok came to his master's aid and blocked Rafiki from harming him any more. "Not so fast, Rafiki. I will not let you hurt my new master!"
"Anifu, snap out of it!" Rafiki begged him. "This is not you!"
"No, but this is the new me." Anifu admitted.
"Rafiki!" called a voice. It was Fuli, who brought some more reinforcements with her closest friends and Timon and Pumbaa. Janja, his clan, Rerei and her friends, her parents, and Ed were with them all as well. "We got some extra help!" Bunga said.
"Although there could be more animals that are not under the control of this homicidal, and crazed kitty here." Shenzi said.
This army contained many animal species: eland, buffalo, kudu, rhinos, elephants, crocodiles, even some monitor lizards and venomous snakes and pythons were part of this resistance. Inuwa noticed this, and he couldn't help but laugh at this attempt. "You call this an army?" He said. "How pathetic."
"Whoa, you guys weren't kidding when you said how scary he was." Janja admitted.
"You will all see how scary I can be." Inuwa sneered. "Prepare yourselves." Some eland and Buffalo cjarged at the evil lion, but they were thwarted by him blasting waves of magic from his own eyeballs, something like laser beams. One by one, many of theargr mammals had been thrown off, and some crocodiles rushed to their aid, with Makuu as their leader.
They tried chomping on him with their uber powerful jaws, but Inuwa stomped on the ground with his paws, causing cylinders of rock and stone to erupt like a small earthquake, hitting some of the crocodiles from under them, hitting their bellies.
Rafiki knew that Inuwa was more powerful than many animals could possibly imagine, and he realized that they probably cannot win like this. Plus, there were more animals under his brainwashing spell. For what he knew, he and his followers could possibly be outnumbered in the now corrupted Pride Lands. He needed more followers to raise the chance of putting an end to this nightmarish chaos.
He remembered that Ono and a few other winged friends had went to bring Rani and the Night Pride to bring Kion back and Rescue him from Inuwa's clutches. "Fall back!" Rafiki ordered
"But, I thought we were going to take down Inuwa?" Beshte said
"Yeah, and save Kion?" Kifaru added, just as confused as the hippo.
"I know but... there will be another time. Come on, my friends. We need to retreat!"
The other animals did not like this, but they had to trust in Rafiki, because he was a wise old baboon. "And," he whispered to the kids, "do not forget about our backup plan before. We will make them think we are falling back, but... you know.
Everyone in the resistance movement did remember what the monkey shaman was talking about and they all ran back to where they came from before.
Meanwhile, Kiara was asleep and was keeping Kion company, and her family was watching the cub to make sure that he didn't escape.
"Simba, Nala, guys?" called a voice. It sounded so familiar. Curious, Simba and the others, minus Kiata and Kion, went to the entrance to where the outside world was.
"Timon, Pumbaa?" Simba recognized the two animals that raised him. "What are you two doing here?"
"Well... we miss ya, buddy." Pumbaa said. "We know you have been tutned evil and all,"
"But, you are still the lion we both know and love." Timon added. "And... we don't want to lose you."
Simba smiled evily and he said: "oh, you do not have to worry about that, you are more than welcome to become a part of us.'
"And be servants of lord Inuwa." Nala added before chuckling.
"I have returned, my servants." Inuwa called to the brainwashed lions. He went in between Simba and Nala, noticing the two bumbling best friends in front of them. Little did he and the brainwashed lions know that; from a secret cave entrance was Rani, slowly sneaking in and she saw Kion in Kiara's clutches. She and her family found out about the evil that was going on in the Pride Lands, and she was destined to have her boyfriend safe and set free. She had to be very careful as she tip-toed over to Kiara, and found the sleeping Kion. She had to gently pull him very quietly without waking Kiara up, and carefully, she used one of her claws to break the tarry pod that Kion was imprisoned in open like plastic, and the cub felt the substance off his body. Immediately waking up, he gasped at what he saw.
Rani winked at him, and said: "Need a paw, Kion?"
"Oh. Rani, it's you." Kion whispered. He looked back at his brainwashed sister and gasped. "Don't wake her up."
"Don't worry. I'll get you out of here." Rani whispered back. The cub followed his girlfriend to the secret entrance that Rani came in from before, and they were about to make it out without any casualties, but then, Kiara quickly noticed Kion not in her arms and awoken with red eyes glowing. She then jumped in front of the cubs and had an evil smile on her face
"ah ah ah," Kiara sang. "Nice try, Kion."
The other brainwashed lions and demonic lion noticed this. "And what do we have here?" Inuwa said in amusement.
"This is Rani, my lord." said Zira.
"Kion's little girlfriend."
"Ah... well, well, well, young love." said Inuwa. "Rather touching and adorable. But, I am afraid you will have to do much better than being sneaky, Kion."
