Ramses was leading himself and his band of followers to the Pride Lands and they wanted to meet this Inuwa to form an alliance together as a ruling faction for all the Pride Lands. On the way, they saw many grazing mammals with their eyes glowing red, and it gave the enemies of the Lion Guard an uneasy feeling in their stomachs. "Yeesh. I know some of those animals have poor eyesight, but this is ridiculous." Makucha whispered in Tuma's right ear.

"Try not to draw their attention." Draak murmured. "We might be strong, but we are also outnumbered."

"Relax, my friends." Ramses said. "This opportunity could be our chance to come out on top for once." the unhinged, vengeful lion smiled with supposed, twisted hope. "Besides, since I am the renowned leader of this party, I will do the talking with this... Inuwa. The rest of you..." he turned around and looked at the rest of his friends, "try not to speak unless spoken to."

Despite their leader's words, everyone still looked a little uneasy with the brainwashed animals looking at them, even Harif was nervous himself, and he was a honey badger after all. Of course, he was filled with pride and he tried his best not to show fear and not let everyone know that he was getting scared himself. Harif, along with the other members of the Lion's Bane tried not to look at the red eyes so they would feel less uncomfortable.

"Well, there is Pride Rock." Ramses pointed. "Hopefully, I can get my taste of revenge on that meddlesome Kion. Sitting there and waiting for us to get mauled or gored to pieces."

"I call dibs on scratching his eyes out!" Mpishi exclaimed in a sing-song voice.

"Well, I should rip his guts out and make him writhe in pain." Makucha added

"Ooh! And i get to pound him to the ground with my mighty fists of destruction! Not even his own family will know what he is after I am done with him."

"And I can crunch down on his bones." Draak said

"It will be fun in tearing him limb from limb." Makucha admitted. "Never again will Kion stand in our way."

"Alright, alright! Quiet you simpletons!" Ramses intervened. His voice immediately got his followers attention. "Haven't you dreamers forgotten? I am a lion and lions are lords of all the animals. That means; i get to kill Kion, and you can have him once i am finished with him."

"And yet you lions are lazy enough to sleep for almost a day." Makucha murmured under his breath.

"What did you say?" Ramses pressed his face against the leopard menacingly.

"Nothing! Nothing. I was just saying you are the leader and what you say goes.'

"Darn right I am." the evil lion looked proud of himself. "No enough lollygagging and let's go!"

Coming over to Pride Rock, they were encountered by some lionesses, that turned out to be Sarafina and Adisa. "You guys again?" Sarafina said, "what do you want?"

"Relax. I heard you have a new leader of this pride." Ramses said. "We heard about Lord Inuwa and we would he delighted to join forces with him in an alliance."

"Oh really?" Adisa said. "Then go and meet him, and see what he thinks."

"Who are we kidding?" Sarafina said. "He might kill them all anyway."

"Nonsense. I can assure you ladies that me and your lord will work together quite nicely. The reluctant lionesses let them both pass and they found Inuwa trying to reassure Kion about being evil and being his new protégé. The dark lion noticed the group and he growled cautiously.

"Who are you supposed to be?"

"Forgive me, my lord. But I suppose introductions are in order." the unhinged lion said calmly. "I am Ramses, the new leader of the Lion's Bane. We seek to come out on top and the Lion Guard is a big thorn on our side."

"Ramses?" said Inuwa. "Oh yes. The former king and queen of the Pride Lands told me about you all."

"Inuwa?" Kion said, who was still in Kiara's arms. He peeked over and it was, indeed, one of his most vile enemies. "Oh no." he murmured.

"Ah. There you are, Kion." Ramses smiled wickedly ag the cub. "At long last, I will have my revenge this time." He charged at the cub just waiting to maul him to shreds like a pile of leaves, but he was atopped from a magical blast by Inuwa, and he was slammed against a wall.

"NO!" Inuwa bellowed firmly. "Don't touch him!" The other members of the Lion's Bane trembled on their knees, even Draak, who was waiting outside, because he was too big for the cave. "NO one touches him."

"Wait. Isn't this about revenge?' Ramses said.

"Yes, but my revenge is on Rafiki, and everyone else in the Pride Lands, including Simba and Nala. But, now that they are under my magical influence and turned evil by yours truly, I have got it at last."

"What? But that meddlesome Kion is a nuisance and a brat for always getting in my way of trying to reclaim my title as king of the Night Pride! It is thanks to him that I have no pride anymore. I want the sweet taste of retribution and revenge against that weakling."

"And he's a thorn on our side, too!" Harif said. "He and his little friends always gotta play the hero and keep me from eating whatever I want and being a real honey badger!"

Everyone else in this group all complained and explained their motives for wanting to kill the leader of the Lion Guard. Inuwa didn't look amused, and in a loud yell as loud as thunder, he shouted: "SILENCE!"

The earth shook for a brief second from that tremendous power, and the Lion's Bane was silent once again, including Ramses.

"I will make one thing clear for all of you: Kion will be my new underling and apprentice, and that is final!"

"So we walked all the way to Pride Rock for this?" Ramses said. "I should have the mind to gouge your eyes out!"

Inuwa made a sinister laugh before replying: "I would really like to see you try, Ramses. But I have powers and you are just an ordinary lion. But, if you want, perhaps we can form an alliance together." he had a sneaky smile on his face. "You really want your own pride back, i can help you get it as the king you once were."

Ramses look a little reluctant at first, but he wanted his pride back and to be on top. His friends wanted the food and wanted to have whatever they want as well. "I suppose having my own pride is what i really want the most."

"Perfect."

Kion, who overheard the conversation, looked more uneasy than ever, but Kovu reassured him by saying: "do not worry, buddy. We'll make sure they will never hurt you once our lord forms the alliance with the Lion's Bane."

"Yes, and we will make sure they listen to our glorious master if they fail to listen." Zira added.
