Kion was asleep in the night and Kiara was keeping him close, as with the rest of tbe family, Rani, Timon, and Pumbaa. The only one that was not awake was Inuwa and Ramses, looking down at the Pride Lands from the too of the rock pillar towering the land like a true landmark. "This deal could work out for us," Ramses said. "And what should we do for Kion's friends?"

"Them, you can do whatever you and your cronies want. Eat them, tear them limb from limb, drown them in a river or lake until they can no longer breath."

Ramses smiled at the idea and he couldn't wait until he would his claws and teeth on his nemesis' best friends. Although he was a little bummed that he wouldn't be able to kill Kion, he couldn't wait to get his pride back. Little did they know that there was a small pack of wild dogs infiltrating Pride Rock. It wss Akilah, Veya, most of their kids (except for Okove, being the smallest of the litter), and about seven over dogs. "We just need to get Kion and Rani out of here." Akilah said to his friends and family very quietly. "Just make as little sound as possible."

"Gor it, dad." Shaka whispered back. "Come on, guys, keep it up. We have to save our friends."

"We know that," said Dayo. "Poor Kion. He must be really scared right now. I hope we don't wake everyone up and catch us trying to rescue him."

"That's what we all hope." said Ono. He, the Lion Guard, and Kifaru were aiding the wild dogs in case they were under attack or if the brainwashed family wakes up and catches the resistance movement in the act.

What caught them all by surprise was: they found the Lion's Bane, minus Ramses, sleeping at the edge of Pride Rock just six feet apart from one another, possibly to act as guards for any intruders. "Qhat are they doing here?" asked Fuli

"And where's Ramses?" Bunga asked.

I don't know." Veya said, "but we do not want to stay here and find out. We have to make this quick."

"Didn't you kids say there was a back door?" Taft said.

"That's what Kion said to us." Beshte replied. "We can't risk going on there."

"We'll wake these dirtbags up." Kifaru added. "They'll tell Inuwa and we'll get caught."

"There's got to be another way inside." said Jabir

"I know just the shortcut to take." Fuli said. "Come on." everyone followed the cheetah to the secret entrance that Kion would sometimes use to get out of Pride Rock instead of the front cave entrance. Kifaru and Beshte, being the strongest out of this rescue, slowly moved some of the rocks out of the way without making loud sounds, and the small entrance was open.

Suddenly, a couple of hyenas showed up, but it was just Jasiri, her clan, Banzai, Shenzi, and Ed. The group smiled, and they were glad to see them here to give some help. "Sorry we were late." Shenzi whispered. "we're ready to use or jaws to help you guys."

"Yeah, let me at that Inuwa." Banzai said quietly, sounding more than ready to fight any bad guys. Ed wanted to laugh maniacally and hysterically, but, surprisingly; he didn't.

"Easy guys." said Jasiri. "We need to be careful and really quiet. I don't remember how many lions there are."

"Only one way to find out." Ono said.

"Me and Veya will go in and see if the coast was clear or not, and or if the lions were all asleep. The two wild dog leaders quietly looked around, and all the lions were indeed, asleep. They both sighed, knowing that it was safe to infiltrate the interior of Pride Rock.

The male leader of the pack noticed the poor cub asleep in Kiara's clutches as she was also asleep, and he pointed his mate where he was. It was no easy task for them to do, for the lionesses were all sleeping in random spots on the rocky floor of the cave. One wrong move could wake one up, and the rest would follow with the alarm being sounded.

Veya and her mate quietly sneaked over to where Kion was, and tried so hard not to touch the brainwashed, sleeping lions. At last, they reached Kion and Akilah slowly and gently pulled Kiara's right hand, the one where she is not resting her chin upon.

Miraculously, Kiara did not wake up and the wild dog co-leaders were in the clear. "That is way too close." Akilah said in his mind. "Now we just need to grab him."

"Right."

Kion slowly awakened from his slumber and his eyes widened, feeling do happy to see some familiar, friendly faces. He was about to gasp and shout their names in excitement, but the wild dogs gently shushed him before pointing out the other sleeping lions. He nodded his head, promising he will be quiet, and he pointed the dog leaders Rani, Timon, and Pumbaa by tilting his head to that particular direction.

Soon after, the hyenas came and found the wild dog pair nedr to thr bound cub. Hyenas, even though not as powerful as a lion, have a far better and stronger bite force than a lion, strong enough to crush through bone.

"Stand aside," Banzai said

"We got this." Shenzi added.

"Just try to hold still and we won't get our teeth in ya." Banzai and Shenzi were using their powerful bute force to rip the tarry cocoon in two directions. It took a few tries because they were trying so hard to not make a noise freeing these four prisoners.

Kion was freed and the hyenas focused on Rani, Timon, and Pumbaa. Both of them awoken to see jelp has arrive

Timon and Pumbaa wanted so badly to cheer, but they both saw their new friends. "Are you guys coming?" Della asked

"Unfortunately I have a a splitting headache." Timon heard best friend admit such and he said, "here it comes again."

"So get us out of here. Please." Pumbaa added. The three hyenas went up to Timon and Pumbaa to try and free them. The poor meerkat remembered the time he had encounters with hyenas, and forgotten how much he hated them so much. It even gave him memories of when Simba was trying to kill Scar in retaliation for killing his father and when he met Zazu in the little prison from being chased by these three hyenas.

Timon gulped and said: "please don't try and eat me again guys. It's giving me bad memories of when you guys were trying to eat me when Simba was fighting his evil uncle." he made a gulp and his heart was pounding.

"Relax, little guy." Shenzi said. "We won't eat ya. Besides, we already ate earlier." She and Ed used their strong jaws to rip his cocoon in half and the meerkat was free. Finally, She and Banzai freed Pumbaa from his cocoon, and they were both free. Finally, there was Rani, who was eager to get out of her cocoon, and she even tried to break free of it herself one last time.

"Relax, we'll get ya out." Shenzi said

"Just stop struggling. We got this." Banzai said. He and his mate did just that, and she was free from this binding, tarry substance. "Ugh. That tastes horrible. My mouth is not gonna feel the same for a week or two."

"Quiet, bonehead." Shenzi murmured.

"Come on." said Akilah, "we need to get out of here." the others nodded their heads to him in reply and they quietly followed him out the main entrance to Pride rock this time. Kion felt a small amount of hope come back to him being rescued like this. He was glad his friends were alright, and that there was still resistance in this fight against Inuwa. One thing for sure was; they had no time to lose and they had to get out of here before Kion's entire family wakes up. They quietly got past the sleeping lions and they were out of the cave, with Kion as the last one out of there. An even bigger hope had erupted inside Kion, and Rani looked at him with a smile.

She then said: "We're almost out of here, Kion. We'll get you to safety. I promise."

"Thank you so much, you guys." Kion said to them. "Let's get out of here." they all ran off, and suddenly, something caught Kion by the tail and he fell on his belly into the dirt. "What the?"

Kion turned around and his heart was beating like a drum. It was Vitani, who had suddenly awoken from her sleep and caught Kion's tail with her right paw. "not so fast." she said with an evil smile. Not only her, but Nala was with her, having a smug look on her face with those evil red eyes."

"Uh-oh." Kion said under his breath. He knew he was screwed just by being caught

"Trying to escape, son?" Nala said, raising her left eyebrow amusingly.

"Uhhh... I mean."

the others noticed this, and they gasped seeing Kion getting caught like this. Without warning, Shaka, Dayo, Taft, and Jabir growled and sprinted towards where Vitani was, and pounced on her back, biting into it with their teeth. It was a little painful for the tomboy lioness, and it caught her off-guard.

Khemu, who was hovering in the air and he swooped down on Nala, catching her off-guard as well. Khemu diving like that was almost like a living harbinger.

This gave Kion enough time to escape the clutches and run back to his friends. The pups were immediately overpowered and knocked on the ground. "Stupid dogs!" Vitani said. "Keep your teeth to yourself."

"Come on, Kion!" said Kifaru. "We got to get out of here!"

"Right behind you." Kion said. They all ran off, but then something had caught Kion standing still, and he couldn't move. It was almost like he was caught in a literal standstill. Khemu cawed in the air with a very croak voice and some more wild dogs and hyenas came to Kion's aid.

"Not so fast, my child." said Inuwa, who appeared right behind him. "But you will have to do much better than that. No use trying to run either. I have cautht you with my magic just in time before you could make your hasty getaway."

Kion struggled and he was trying so hard to move again. "Let me go!"

"Not a chance." Inuwa sang. "Time for me to put you to bed. In a non-lethal way, of course."

Suddenly, something had hit Inuwa's left side and made him crash on the ground with a loud thud. Three wild dogs had hit him and they were growling at him with their teeth bared.

"What?" Inuwa said, looking at what hit him.

"Leave our friend alone!" Akilah shouted to Inuwa. "You mess with him, you mess with me and my family!"

Inuwa found himself fighting with more dogs that were trying to corner and claw him. A dozen of the painted dogs pounced on him and tried biting on his skin, but they were thwarted. "You insufferable mutts!" the evil lion shouted in frustration. "Keep still while I slice you into oblivion!"
