Kiara and Kion were still snoozing together with the cub still in his sisters' arms. It was already three hours and Kion was having fun playing games with Grandfather Mufasa and Grandmother Sarabi in the dream world. The three of them were having so much fun playing games like "hide-and-seek", and "tag". Kion really wished that they were both alive so that they can do these things in real life, but it was still fun and almost the same in the dream world. Mufasa and Sarabi's flames were still very alive and only their physical bodies were no more. Alas, the young cub awoken from his sleep and he stretched himself with a yawn, showing his sharp teeth.

The future queen awoken after and she stretched before yawning herself. Kiara was just as well-rested as much as Kion was, and she looked at him with a warm smile equal to her mothers'. "Did you sleep well, Kion?" she asked

"Yeah. I did. I was dreaming of grandfather and grandmother." the cub replied. "We were having fun playing games together and it looked like they were alive. But it was fun while it lasted. That's what counts." he yawned again before asking his big sister: "So what did you dream about, Kiara?" The future queen gave a rather embarrassed look on her face and she blushed. "What's wrong?"

"Oh nothing. Nothing's wrong. I was dreaming about me and Kovu spending time together." Kiara looked embarrassed.

Suddenly, it was just then the future king awoken from his nap. "What about me?"

Poor Kiara blushed some more and she looked to and fro, as if she was hiding something very secretive. "Well I was having a dream about... you know."

Kovu looked a little confused and he suddenly realized what his own wife was talking about. "Oh." he blushed as well. "were we having fun?"

"Of course. You loved our game."

"What kind of game?" Kion asked.

Both the future king and future queen looked embarrassed of what poor, innocent Kion just asked, and they were trying to find the right words and going "Ummmm..." and stammering some more. "It's complicated." said Kiara nervously. "But you'll understand when you are older. Probably as old as us."

"Yeah, you don't want to know what she was dreaming about, Kion." Kovu agreed. "believe me. You wouldn't handle it."

"Ok. I was just asking."

"We know." said Kiara. "So what about you, Kovu?"

"Well, I was dreaming of what my real father was like."

"Oh. That's right," the cub remembered. "Scar wasn't really your dad, right?"

"That's right. And I am certainly glad he was not. I promise myself I want nothing more to do with that monster. But my real dad, I can't really remember that much about him as much. I know mom told me about what he was like a little bit, but it was a long time ago. I was only a cub then and I couldn't exactly remember what my own dad was like."

"Why don't you ask her again?" Kion suggested

"Because she doesn't like to talk about it, Kion. It's not that simple. But hey, it was just a dream, right?"

"Maybe. But it looked so real with my grandparents with me. It was like... a better, more peaceful version of the Pride Lands. No killing, no conflict, nothing bad like that."

"That does sound fun." said Kiara. "Was I in it?"

"Well... no. Sorry." said her brother.

"No, it's OK. You weren't really in my dream either, so... you know."

"Yep."

"Well now I wish I could have met Mufasa and Sarabi in real life." Kovu admitted. "Simba told me how kind and caring they were as the leaders of the Pride Lands. Lions that are the opposite of what Scar was like."

"I'm sure they would have loved you, Kovu." Kiara gently nudged his side affectionately.

"Hello?" said a female voice, and Kion recognized it. It was Rani, the future queen of the Night Pride and the Back Lands combined. "Anyone in- Oh. There you guys are."

"Hi Rani." said Kion, running up to her before he and her began nuzzling one another. "How are you?"

"Doing just fine. Watcha doing?"

"Well, i was taking a little nap a little while ago." Kion admitted, blushing. Rani herself, was blushing red on her brown cheeks.

"That's good. I got myself a nice duiker for lunch, and it was a good kill." said the lioness. "But I was looking for you to ask you..." she was a little lost in words, and ultimately, she said "...I want to ask you on a date. What do you say? Just you and me on a date together." what she said made her blush even more. It made Kovu and Kiara gasp, feeling proud of Kion for growing up so fast for a cub.

Kion was a little lost for words, but he ultimately said: "Sure. I would love that. Where can we go?"

"Well, I really don't care. As long as we're together." Rani replied. "We can go to my home or we can stay here in the Pride Lands."

"What about your parents?"

"They know. I told them so they wouldn't be worried sick about me. Especially my father. He can be a little... overprotective of me."

Kiara made a small groan and she said: "I know how that feels Rani. Trust me. Sure, my dad is way more relaxed, but he can still be a little overprotective of me. Dads. Am I right?"

"Ugh. Tell me about it." Rani groaned in agreement. "But come on. Let's go have some fun."

"Cool." Kion looked back at Kiara and Kovu and said to them: "Can you tell mom and dad where I am just in case?"

"No problem, buddy." said Kovu. "We'll tell them when they come in."

"Thanks, guys." the cub smiled at his sister and brother-in-law gratefully before he and Rani went out in the savanna together. Just the two of them against the whole world. Yes, it was going to be a nice, romantic time between these two lovebirds. They could be hunting together or they could be looking over the Pride Lands on a high hill to see how the other animals lived their lives and see how they survived in this big, bad world.

Rani and Kion were rolling around on the grass, laughing together and trying to tackle one another. "Pinned ya!" said Rani

"Come on, let me up." said the male cub. "Let me up!"

Rani did just that and pretended to be innocent, and whistled with her eyes closed, still smiling. Kion gave a devious smile and tried pinning her in revenge to get the other hand, but Rani knew it was coming, and they were both tumbling down a small hill before Rani gained the upper paw on him once more. "Pinned you again, Kion." she sang

"You are a little bigger than me after all." Kion smirked. "But I don't judge."

Still having her right paw on his torso, almost as big as his chest, Rani raised her right eyebrow. "I know."

"Aren't you gonna let me up?"

"I could do that, but I think you kinda like it when I pin you to the ground like this. Don't you?"

"Yeah. I do, admittedly."

"Well, I don't judge either." the future queen of the Night Pride chuckled. "So tell me, what were you dreaming about in your nap?"

"It's... personal." Kion admitted, "But, you're... my girlfriend, so I might as well tell you."

"Yeah, I won't laugh."

Clearing his throat, Kion said: "I was dreaming of being with my grandparents: Mufasa and Sarabi. They looked very alive and it was as if they never really died at all. Like Mufasa was never killed by Scar in the first place. We talked about the Circle of Life and how much my dad misses them."

"Of course he does." Rani smiled. "They are his parents after all."

"Exactly. But they will always be there for him when they need him. Didn't you ever experience something like that before?"

"Actually... I did. But my grandparents died when I was very young. Like weeks after I was born, so I don't really exactly remember what they look like. But I had a dream about them a few days ago. I wasn't... sure what they look like."

"Don't be too hard on yourself." said her boyfriend.

"I know. I feel like they will be with me like your grandparents will be." She gently took her paw off of him and she decided to lay down next to him, looking at the clouds. "So are you feeling ok with the whole... Inuwa thing?"

"I'm still... trying to get over it. I mean, i'm mostly over it, but some of it still haunts me."

"Yeah. But don't worry, it will all heal in time." Rani snuggled close to him. "And it was a good thing I saved you. Right?" she then winked at him.

"It was. I thank you for saving me from Inuwa."

Giggling, the future queen of the Night Pride said: "You're welcome Kion. I'm glad to have you as a boyfriend."
