(NO ONES POV)

(JULY 5 MONTHS LATER)

Mal huffed as she tried to button her pants.

"Come on," she said as she flopped back on her bed at Evie's castle.

Evie had raised enough money from making so many dresses, suits, and other outfits for everyone at school, plus she was also Ben's new royal seamstress, that she had bought a starter castle after they had graduated. She made a room for Jay, Mal, and Carlos, even though she knew Mal wouldn't be there most of the time.

She tried to suck in her stomach because she didn't want to come to the fact that she was going to have to start wearing maternity clothes. She tried with all her might to butting her favorite pair of leather pants, but it was not going to happen. She finally gave up and grunted.

"Beastie, why are you making me fat?" She asked as she rubbed her small bump.

"You are not fat," Evie said as she walked into Mal's room.

Mal put her head up and rolled her eyes at her best friend.

"Umm. Excuse me, I don't see you having trouble buttoning your pants," Mal said, making Evie laugh.

"That's because I'm not growing the world's cutest baby," she said as she walked over to Mal with a bunch of clothes in her hands.

"We don't know if…" Mal started, but Evie cut her off.

"Nope! No arguing with me!" She exclaimed, making Mal laugh. "I'm surprised you're barely showing. Ben and I switch baby books when we're done with them, and you should have been showing, noticeably, a month ago," Evie said.

"She may be small," Mal said as she turned to Evie. "I was small when I was a baby, and mom wasn't big when she was pregnant with Hadie. Maybe it's a god thing," she said with a shrug.

Ever since they found out the baby's gender, Evie had been in a swirl making the cutest baby clothes.

"My niece is going to be the cutest baby in existence," she said and she handed Mal a pair of black leather pants, but these were stretchy leather, making Mal smile brightly at her sister.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" Mal said as she took the pants from Evie and changed. "What about your babies?" Mal said as she finally was able to button her pants.

"Fine," Evie groaned. "My niece will be the cutest royal in existence," she said, making Mal laugh again.

Mal shook her head and laughed. She still couldn't believe she was having a girl. Ben was so happy and their moms and Evie went crazy! The entire week up until they found out caused Mal so much anxiety, and so much has happened in the past five months, and she couldn't believe how much time had passed. The only thing that didn't change was that they didn't know for sure if Ben was the baby's biological father.

"What?" Mal asked in shock.

"Do you want to know who their biological father is?" Hera asked again as she took Mal's hands in her own. "I can tell you."

Mal didn't know if she wanted to know this soon. She had just said that they would find out… she stared at her aunt in disbelief. She turned to Ben, looking for advice. He walked up to her and rubbed his hand up and down the small of her back.

"It's up to you, babe," he said. "We can find out now or later."

"I don't know," she said. "I know we said we wanted to know, but I don't know if I am mentally ready," she said as she cupped her stomach.

"Then we can wait until you are ready," Ben said as he snaked his arm around her waist. "We said we would find out, but we don't have to do it now," he said.

"And the offer will always be on the table," Hera said, making Mal look at her.

"But we said we would find out," Mal said as she looked up at Ben.

"Yes we did," he told her. "But, again, we didn't say we were going to find out today, tomorrow, or anytime soon. We will wait until you are ready," he said as she kissed her forehead.

"Do you know now?" Mal asked as she turned back to her aunt.

Hera nodded her head. "Yes, I do. I also know what the baby's gender is," she said, making Ben and Mal's eyes widen.

"TELL US!" Evie yelled.

Everyone turned to her and saw that she was now covering her mouth and her cheeks were turning red. She uncovered her mouth and whispered sorry to them, making everyone laugh.

"I know everyone here wants to know, but this is up to Mal and me," Ben said as he looked around the room. "But it is mostly up to her," he said as he looked back down at Mal and smiled.

Mal started to chew on her lip, thinking about if she was the least bit ready to know.

"Can we wait?" She asked just as a reassurance. "I know you said we can, but I just was to make sure it's completely okay with you," she said, making Ben smile and nod his head.

Mal sighed in relief. She knew they were going to find out, but she wanted to be prepared in case the worst was to come. Hera grabbed her niece's hand, making Mal look at her.

"I'll come to check on you every couple of weeks," she told her. "I want to make sure that you have the best care, and who else can give you that other than the goddess of marriage, the life of woman, AND childbirth," she said, looking at her family. "Everyone tends to forget that last bit," she said with a small chuckle.

"Thank you," Ben said as he held his hand out for her to shake.

Hera shook his hand and smiled. "Like my husband said. She's my niece."

"Then I am going to say thank you," Hades said, making everyone look at the screen. "I know what I did to Sunspot, was and never will be right, but thank you for taking care of my baby girl," he said.

"Hades," Hera said as she turned her full attention to the screen. "We all know that it was wrong, but if you didn't do it, we wouldn't have Meg or Herkie and Haley," she said as she looked at her daughter-in-law and grandchildren, who smiled at her. "I wish I was able to have raised Hercules, but I wouldn't change it because they came along because of it," she finished.

Hades smiled at his sister-in-law. After everything he did to them, it was good to hear that Hera had do malis intent toward him.

"Well, we better head back to the school," Zeus said as he walked up to his wife. "We, I," he said, making everyone chuckle. "Interrupted the open house and Jennifer didn't get to make her speech," he said. "Shall we?" He asked, looking around the room.

"If you don't mind," Adam said. "I think today was eventful enough and maybe we could enjoy lunch here at the castle," he offered.

"That sounds lovely, but we didn't have a chance to participate in the open house," Meg said as she stood up. "I think we better skedaddle before it's too late."

Zeus walked over to Mal and gave her a kiss on her head before clapping his hands and blinding everyone else in the room. After saying goodbye to Hades, Mal, Ben, their parents, and their friend enjoyed the rest of their day and Mal was at ease after the hectic afternoon they had.

"Mal!" Evie called, making Mal break out of her memory. "Are you even listening?" she asked.

Mal shook her head. "Sorry, E. I was thinking about the open house and how Hera's offer," she said.

"Are you going to ask her to tell you when she comes and checks on you tomorrow?" Evie asked.

"I don't know if I'm ready," Mal said as she looked down at her hands. "I know Ben said he wouldn't leave me, but the thought still scares me," she admitted.

"Mal," Evie said as she walked over and sat next to her best friend/sister. "Ben. Is. Not. Going. To. leave. You," she stated slowly.

"I know, but it still scares me," she said. "He's been distant lately, and I know he is busy running the kingdom," she said as she looked up at Evie.

"Well, his plate has been getting fuller now that we have graduated and after we gave him the list of Isle kids and parents," Evie said. "But, he tries to spend time with you and you know how excited he is about the baby," she said trying to make Mal smile, which worked.

"Yeah," Mal said as she rubbed the bottom of her bump. "You should have been there when she kicked for the first time 2 weeks ago," Mal said as she started to remember what had happened.

Mal was in her art room, sketching on the balcony when she heard someone knock on the door. She looked up from her sketchbook and saw her boyfriend standing there with his royal blue coat over his shoulder and his yellow tie undone and hanging around his neck.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked as he placed his jacket over one of the wicker chairs that were on the balcony.

"Just getting in some light sketching," she said as she pointed to her sketchbook.

Ben walked over to his girlfriend, who was sitting on the floor on a blanket. He sat down next to her and peeked over her shoulder to see she was sketching a picture of the Isle.

"Do you miss it?" He asked her.

Mal tilted her head and thought about it. "No," she said, shaking her head. "I miss people, but not the place. Mostly my dad and Hadie," she said as she looked back at her sketches.

"Well, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are going in a couple of weeks to pass out applications to kids, if you want to go with them," Ben said.

Mal knew she wanted to go see her dad, but she also knew it might not be safe. Especially after they had announced to the kingdom that she was pregnant. She didn't want there to be a chance that, if Trevor was able enough, he would find her there. Her dad hadn't said he had come through the underworld, so he must still be alive.

"No, I'll just stay," she said. "I don't want to take any chances," she said as she started to rub her small bump.

Mal had started to show about two weeks ago. It wasn't a huge bump. She was still able to button her pants, but if you paid attention you could tell, and Ben was more excited than anyone to see her bump for the first time. They had walked back to Ben's dorm, and she had taken off her cardigan, only leaving her in a light purple tank top. He had practically tackled Mal onto the bed, taking her by surprise, kissed her stomach, making her laugh. She was so happy that Ben was happy. She never, in her wildest dreams, thought that she would be in a loving relationship with the King of Auradon, and be having a baby with him. Ever since Ben made the formal announcement that Mal and he were having a baby, everyone started to coo and awe at Mal whenever they saw her. She was happy that everyone in the kingdom, but two, were excited for them. The only thing she hated was when she would walk around the school and people started to touch her stomach. She wasn't even showing at that time and random students would come up to her, ask her questions, and rub her stomach. She didn't want to be rude, but she also didn't want to have people touching her. There had been multiple times when Ben, Evie, Jordan, Audrey, and their other friends would whisk her away from the touching, which she was really appreciated.

Now that they had graduated, Mal would be at the castle or at Evie's. She tried to stay in because every time she would go out she would be bombarded by the press. There had been multiple times when she would be out with Evie and the girls, and the press would bombard them, making Mal feel really uncomfortable. Thankfully, Audrey was very loud and told them to fuck off before she called the royal guards, making the press scurry away, with their tails between their legs. After that, she never went out unless Ben, Adam, Belle, her mom, Jay, and Carlos were with her. Evie did her best to keep the press away, but they weren't afraid of her as much as they were afraid of the royal family, her mom, or her brothers.

"Are you sure?" Ben asked, breaking Mal out of her thought.

"Yeah," she said, nodding her head.

Ben laid his head down on her lap, next to her stomach, making her laugh. He knows how much she missed her dad, and he wanted more than anything for them to see each other face to face. He felt something hit the side of his head and then saw Mal flinch. He snapped his head up and looked at her with wide eyes as she gave him the same look.

"Did she just?" Ben asked, making Mal smile and nod.

"Yeah, that's the first time she kicked," she said as a tear rolled down her cheek. "And she kicked you in the head," She added, rubbing where the baby had kicked. "I'm so proud," she cooed, making Ben laugh and roll his eyes.

Ben scooted down, laying on his stomach, and putting his face close to Mal's stomach.

"Hey," he whispered, making Mal smile down at him. "I thought we talked about this when your mommy was sleeping the other night," he said. "Remember? You're supposed to kick mommy's bladder the first time you kick, not daddy's head," he said. The baby kicked again, making both Ben and Mal laugh.

"OMG, Mal," Evie said as she waved her hand in front of Mal's face. "Your pregnancy brain is bad today," she said with a chuckle.

"Sorry," Mal said as she stood up. "I was just remembering when Beastie kicked for the first time, two weeks ago," she said.

"Can you please tell me her name?" Evie asked almost as a plea.

Mal shook her head. "E, you're going to have to wait until she is born," she said.

"Come on, Mal! We already know she is a girl! Why not her name?" she asked.

Mal was about to answer her, but her phone went off. She picked up her phone and saw Ben was calling her, making her answer it.

"Hey," she said as his face appeared on the screen. "What are you wearing?" she asked when she saw he wasn't wearing a suit. He was wearing a dark-washed denim-colored leather jacket.

"Hi," he said with a smile on his face. "I was getting ready for our date, but something came up that I have to deal with," he said.

He sounded off, but she didn't know why.

"Oh," she breathed.

"I am so sorry, Mal. I know I promised you we would spend time together, but this is really important and I need to finish this," he said with an apologetic tone.

Mal nodded her head. She understood he has other responsibilities, but she could still feel upset she doesn't get to see him as much as she did before they graduated.

"It's okay," she said as she put a smile on her face for him. "Handle your business," she told him.

"I am so sorry, baby. I promise to make this up to you," he said. "I love you," he told her with a smile.

She gave him a small smile, while her cheeks heated up and Beastie kicked. "I love you too," she said.

He gave her one more smile before hanging up the phone. Mal tossed her phone on the bed and let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry, M," Evie said as she walked up to Mal.

"It's okay. As we said, he is busy," she said as she started to unbutton her pants. "I think I'm just going to take a nap. I'm kind of tired," she said as she changed back into her cotton shorts.

"Okay," Evie said as she watched her sister climb into her bed.

Mal turned away from the door as Evie closed it behind her. She knew she shouldn't be upset, but she was. She just wanted to spend time with Ben. She started to remember the day they found out that they were having a baby girl. It was literally one of the best days of her life, even though Aziz and Ryder were the ones to know and gave her major anxiety all day.

Everyone was at the castle, while Hera checked over Mal. Today Evie was going to find out what the baby's gender was, and Mal and Ben were so excited. Hera wrote the gender down on a thin piece of paper that was as thin as tissue.

"Alright," Hera said as she sealed a lilac and blue envelope. "I wrote the baby's gender and will leave this with you," she said as she handed the envelope to Ben, who placed it in his pocket.

"Thank you," Mal said as she stood up and gave her aunt a hug. "For everything."

She gave Mal a hug and a kiss on her head before teleporting away. When the smoke cleared, they saw Aziz and Ryder huddled together, with their backs turned to everyone.

"What are you guys doing?" Ben asked as he started to walk up to them.

They turned around with the envelope opened in Aziz's hand, and Ryder had the paper pinned to his chest. Mal, Ben, and everyone else in the room looked at the two princes in shock. Ben felt his pocket, and the envelope wasn't there anymore.

"You assholes," Ben said as he walked up to them. "Come on. Give it back. You guys read it. You guys know. And don't say anything," he said, but instead Ryder ate the paper, making everyone look at him in shock.

"You bastards!" Evie exclaimed as she stormed up to them and started to hit them. "I. Was. The. Only. Person. To. Know," she said as she continued to hit them. "I had plans for their party!" She shouted.

"Woah!" Aziz said as he grabbed Evie's hands from hitting them anymore. "Chill, princess," he said as he held her arms down.

"Now you don't have to worry about it," Ryder said as he smiled at her, gaining a glare from her.

Evie turned so red you couldn't tell the difference between her lipstick from her face. Mal walked over to her and pulled her into a hug.

"It's fine, E," she said as she tried to calm her best friend. "You are still their godmother, and now that Aziz and Ryder know they are going to be the ones giving me the anxiety that I really don't want," she said glaring at her boyfriend's best friends. "And my rule is…"

"We know," they said. "Lilac not pink," they said, making everyone laugh.

The week of their graduation was hell for Ben and Mal, but more for Mal. Aziz and Ryder were driving Mal crazy because they always had something that had to do with lilac and blue. On the day of graduation, Mal had had it. Everyone was sitting having their last breakfast in the cafeteria when Aziz and Ryder placed a cake with white frosting and blue and purple sprinkles on it.

"Noooooo," Mal groaned as she buried her face in Ben's shoulder. "I can't take the…" she started but then stuck her hand in the cake to find only white cake.

She groaned and shook her hand, trying to get the cake off. She sat down, and Ben pulled her close after giving her a couple of napkins to clean off her hand.

"You guys are evil," Ben said, pointing at Aziz and Ryder.

"Yeah," Mal said pouting at them. "This is why we asked EVIE to do this," she said.

"Yeah, but how much fun have you had?" Ryder asked.

Everyone looked at them like they were the biggest idiots in the world.

"First, you started off by wearing purple, making Mal and Ben think they were having a girl. Then changed into blue," Carlos said.

"Second, was when Ryder carried blue balloons around Mal, then Aziz came around with lilac ones," Audrey said.

"Third, your guys temporarily dye Aziz's hair blue and Ryder's purple," Jay said.

"And that took us 2 days to get out," Ryder said, pointing at the group.

"And let's not forget when I found her chasing both of you around campus because each of you had a big black balloon," Ben added. "Which when we eventually caught you and popped them, we were each covered in blue AND purple powder," he stated.

"That sounds like fun to me," Aziz said as he smiled at all of his friends.

"To who?" Evie asked as she stood up. "I want to know if I am going to be getting a niece or a nephew," she groaned.

"Not to mention we want to know if we are having a son or daughter," Ben said as he pointed to Mal and himself.

"Love to stay and chat about your baby all day," Aziz said. "But we have to get ready for graduation," he said as he clasped Ryder on the shoulder, and started to walk away.

"But…" Mal said, but it was too late and the two princes were gone. "Ben, what is our new rule?" she asked.

"Never put our future kid's genders in my front coat pocket?" he asked, making Mal laugh.

"Good boy," she said as she pinched his cheek. "But on a different note. We should get ready," she said as she stood up.

"Yeah, plus I have to do your hair before Seph and Belle come and start taking hundreds of pictures," Evie said as she looped her arm through Mal's and pulled her out of the cafeteria, with the other girls following them.

Just like Evie said, Belle and Seph came with all the other parents, pulling everyone out of their dorms to take pictures. They took so many pictures. Ones in a group, just the girls, just the boys, each individually, in their couples, with their siblings, and with their families. She had taken pictures with Jay, Evie, and Carlos, even though Carlos and Jane were graduating next year. She had taken pictures with Ben and they had managed to get pictures of Ben's hand on Mal's baby bump. Mal wished her dad and brother were here, but she was happy that her mom was here to see her graduate.

The graduating class sat in their seats in their caps and gowns. Girls were wearing yellow and boys were wearing blue. FG made her opening speech, trying to make jokes as it went on. After her speech she had Ben walk up the stage to help hand out diplomas because he is king. After handing out the diplomas Ben took a seat by the other teachers, while FG took the podium back.

"I would like Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos to come up here, please," she said.

They all looked at her with a confused look, especially Carlos. They all stood, and Carlos rushed to Evie's side, while Jay took Mal's hand and helped her up the stairs. Mal looked at Ben with a curious look, only for him to shrug.

"These four students have come from a land that no one ever thought we would encounter their residents," she said as she walked to the four students standing on the stage. "I have had the honor of getting to know these four amazing teenagers and I could not be prouder of the accomplishments they have achieved this school year, even though one of them graduates next year," she said as she gave Carlos a small smile. "I want to…" she started but was cut off by a giant boom.

Everyone closed their eyes and covered their ears, but when they opened their eyes, the sky was being cascaded with lilac confetti. Mal looked up and then looked at Aziz and Ryder who had smiles on their faces.

"Oh, ha ha, guys," she stated loudly. "Go ahead," she said, placing a hand on her hip. "Let the blue confetti fly," she said rolling her eyes.

"What blue confetti?" Ryder asked loudly.

Mal gasped and clasped her hands over her mouth.

"It's a girl?" she asked.

Both Aziz and Ryder nodded their heads, and Mal let her tears fall. Ben rushed over to Mal, picked her up, and spun her around. The rest of their friends and family rushed onto the stage, not caring if it was interrupting the rest of graduation. Belle, Seph, and the rest of the girls were jumping up and down with excitement. Ben gave Mal the biggest kiss he had ever given her. Her mom and Belle were smothering their children with hugs and kisses. Mal was so happy that she was having a girl, not that she had a preference, but she only wished that her dad and brother were here to celebrate with them.

Mal turned and faced the ceiling.

"That's it," she said to herself as she got out of bed.

She walked to her closet Evie filled with loads of clothes and found something leather and not purple. She missed her dad and brother too and wanted to see them desperately. She quickly changed into the black leather pants Evie gave her, a baggy dark blue shirt that would hide her bump, and her simple black leather jacket that had a cotton hood so that she could hide her face. She put on her dark blue combat boots, and walked out of her room, closing the door behind her, and walked downstairs to find Evie.

"E!" she called as she walked into the kitchen.

Evie wasn't there. Mal checked Evie's sewing room, and she wasn't there either.

"E!" Mal shouted as she jogged all over the castle. "Are you here?" she asked loudly, but there was no answer.

Mal walked back to her room and picked up her phone. She was about to call Evie but saw that she had texted her.

E to Mal: Hey, M! I went to town with Jay and Carlos to get some fabrics and food for tonight. We'll be back in a couple of hours.

Mal sighed as she threw her phone on the bed.

"Well, there goes my plans to visit dad," she whispered to herself.

She would ask her mom if she wasn't on the Isle already. She groaned and stomped on the floor.

"I am the daughter of Hades, Persephone, and biologically Maleficent," she said. "I can handle myself on the Isle. I did it for 18 years, so I can do it for a couple of hours," she said as she tightened her jacket.

She took her promise ring and Ben's signet ring off, along with her necklace, and placed them on the table Evie had put in the room. She quickly wrote a note.

With mom and dad.

-Mal

She put her phone in her pocket and knew her mom was leaving today because she wanted to be at every one of Mal's checkups with Hera, so there would be no problem getting back. She walked out of the room, closing the door behind her again, walked out to the purple and blue racing motorcycle Ben had bought her. He didn't want her riding it after she had found out she was pregnant, but she said she would stop when her stomach prevented her from grabbing the handlebars. It was a back-and-forth argument between the two, but in the end, Ben agreed because she was a great driver, and was even better than he was. Though whenever she wanted to go somewhere on it, he would go with her and ride on the back in case something happened. She knew she wasn't going to be able to ride it in a couple of weeks if she got bigger, but she knew that she would be able to get to her dad's faster if she rode her bike. She closed the garage and rode to the outskirts of Auradon. She faced the Isle and took a deep breath, trying not to think about the bottomless ocean that she was going to cross.

Noble steed, proud and fair. You shall take me anywhere.

Her bike glowed green, making Mal sigh in relief that the spell had worked. She rode across the ocean and through the barrier, thankful that the spell lasted long enough for her to make it across. She rose through the Isle fast but was noticed by a lot of people, and people Mal didn't want to know she was there. She rode to the entrance to the underworld and rode through the cave until she saw both her parents run out to see what the noise was. She stopped and turned off the motorcycle.

"Mally?" they both asked as she took off her helmet and ran to them.

She ran and wrapped her arms around both of her parents, and started to cry.

"What are you doing here? How did you? Why did you?" Hades rambled as he wrapped an arm around his daughter.

"I missed you so much and I wanted to see you," she said as she looked up at him. "Other than talking to you through a screen," she said.

"Who is here with you?" her mom asked, making her daughter look at her.

"Um… I kind of came alone," she said, giving them an apologetic smile.

"Mallory Bertha Drakos! You are five months pregnant!" Hades said. "What if someone got you? What if you didn't make it across the ocean? Something could have happened to you," he said.

"I'm sorry," she said. "I just wanted to see you, Hadie, and mom," she said as tears started to stream down her face.

Hades looked at his daughter, and his heart broke watching her cry. He wrapped his arms around her, and she buried her face into his chest.

"What's wrong, Mally? Why are you crying? Are you okay?" he asked.

She looked at him and chuckled. "Nothing other than missing you," she said. "My emotions and hormones are all crazy. I cry for the littlest things," she told him. "I literally cried to Ben because there weren't any pickles and peanut butter at the castle, and then he went to the store and got me some himself," she said, making both her parents make grossed-out faces.

"That sounds disgusting," Hades said, making Mal look up at him and pout. "Oh, please don't start crying," he started to say in a panic.

Mal shook her head and laughed. She missed this so much, not being on the Isle, just being with her family. She pulled away and looked up at him.

"I'm not going to cry because you said my cravings are gross, dad," she said.

"Mally," her mom said, making her look at her. "You cried when you broke a color pencil before I left two weeks ago," she said, making Mal and Hades laugh with her.

"Okay, let's head inside," Hades said as he held out a hand for his daughter. "I want to hear about everything and I want to know how my granddaughter is doing," he said as he led both Seph and Mal into the cave.

Evie, Jay, Carlos, and Ben all walked into Evie's kitchen and they were all dressed in leather.

"So, you're sure Mal is still napping," Ben asked as he tightened his leather gloves.

"Yeah, I'm sure," she said as she pulled a water bottle out of the refrigerator. "I texted her about an hour ago and she hasn't responded."

Ben nodded his head. "Yeah, she's been sleeping a lot more now that she is further along, and it's a chore to actually wake her up," he said with a small chuckle.

"Yeah," Jay said as he laughed and took an apple off the counter. "How long does she take naps for?"

"Well, she's been sleeping for about an hour now, so she may sleep for another 3 unless she gets hungry," Ben said. "And I hope that you have pickles and peanut butter in your fringe, Evie," he said as he looked in her direction.

Evie nodded her head and pulled out two jars of pickles and two tubs of peanut butter. "A jar of sweet pickles, and dill. Then, chunky and smooth peanut butter," Evie said with a smile on her face.

"You may want to get rid of the sweet pickles," Ben said. "Even the sight of the jar makes Mal nauseous."

"How…" Carlos started, but Ben cut him off.

"I don't know, but I'm going to go check on her before we leave for the Isle," he said as he walked out of the kitchen and toward Mal's room.

Mal lived at the castle, but Evie made her a room here with a loaded closet just in case she stayed late or got tired and didn't want her to drive or teleport home tired. He walked up to Mal's door and heard nothing on the other side. He slowly and as quietly as possible opened the door. When he walked in he saw her bed was empty.

"Mal?" he called not knowing if she was in the bathroom.

He walked to the bathroom, and she wasn't there. He checked the closet and the same. No Mal. He was about to call his mom and ask if she was at the castle when a gleam of light hit his eye. He flinched and when he turned his head, his heart sank. Mal's rings and necklace were sitting on the desk. He quickly walked over and saw a note sitting under the rings and necklace that said; 'with mom and dad'. Ben put Mal's rings and necklace in the zipper pocket on the inside of his jacket and ran downstairs.

"GUYS!" he yelled, making them jump as he ran through the kitchen door. "Mal is on the Isle," he panted.

"What?" They asked in unison.

"She left a note and her rings and necklace on the desk," he said as he started to panic. "Is she unhappy? Did she say she wanted to go back?" he asked frantically.

"Ben, do you think we would have helped you today if she was unhappy?" Carlos asked.

"And that we are taking you to the Isle to talk with her parents," Evie added. "But, we'll go and find out," she said as she stormed out of the kitchen, with the guys following her.

After about an hour of talking with her parents, Mal asked where her brother was.

"He should be back soon," Hades said. "He went down to the wharf to get food from the chip shop," he said, making Mal's eyes widen a little.

"He's been going to the wharf?" she asked.

"Yes," her mom said. "We know you're thinking more about Uma than you are Hadie right now," she said.

"She has been asking about you a lot since you left, and more since she heard you are pregnant," Hades said, shocking his daughter.

"Why?" Mal asked.

"Mally, after you fell into the water you and Uma hated each other, but she misses you so much," he told her.

"She hasn't told me. She was there at the chip shop the night we left and she pushed Anthony away from kissing me, but she didn't say bye," Mal said.

"You had to bring up that kid," Hades said as he threw his head back. "He finally stopped coming down here, trying to get information about you," he said.

"Let's not bring him up," Seph said. "Your dad has two people in the Isle pining over you on here, and sometimes he can barely handle that you are in a loving relationship," Seph said, making Mal laugh.

Hades watched as his girls laughed. He never knew love until he met Persephone, but when he held Mal in his arms for the first time was the first time he cried. Seeing Mal for the first time and hearing her cry made his heart do a leap. It was literally love at first sight, and he knew from that day on he would love her more than anything in the entire world. His family was everything to him and it was growing. His baby girl was having a baby girl of her own.

"What are you thinking about, dad?" Mal asked, breaking her dad out of his thoughts.

"That my baby is having a baby," Hades said as he smiled at his daughter.

"Yeah, but she keeps kicking the crap out of my bladder," she said as she rubbed her stomach. "I can't imagine when she gets bigger."

"Well, Haide was very active when I was pregnant," Seph said as she moved next to Mal. "She is probably just like her uncle," she added as she rubbed Mal's stomach.

"Belle said Ben was the same way," Mal said. "She said she wasn't huge either, but he was a big baby," she added with a small chuckle.

Mal started to think about how she still didn't know if she was biologically Ben's or not, and by the look on her face, she knew her parents knew that she was thinking about it too.

"Are you going to find out tomorrow?" Seph asked.

Mal looked down at her hands and started to play with her fingers. She was still scared to know the truth. She knew she wanted to know, but it was still scary for her.

"Mally?" Hades said, making his daughter look up at him. "I know this is scary for you, but it is something that you and Ben need to know," he said as he sat on the other side of her. "No matter what the results may be, Ben loves you. And he loves your baby," he said as he wrapped an arm around her.

"I know," she said. "I'm just scared. I want the baby to be Ben's biologically, but I also know blood doesn't make a parent," she said as she looked at her mom.

Persephone pulled her daughter into a hug, wanting to take all of her worries away. They stayed in the embrace until they heard Hadie calling their names.

"Mom. Dad. I'm back," he said as he walked into the cave. "Uma gave us extra hush puppies, and who's…" but he stopped when he saw his sister sitting on the couch. "Mally!" He exclaimed as he put the food on the table and ran to his sister. "What are you doing here?" He asked as he pulled his sister from the couch and hugged her tightly.

"I came for a visit, but you may not want to squeeze me," she said. "One of two things may happen. First, you may squeeze the baby out sooner than she needs to be out. Or two, I may pee on you," she said making him laugh.

"Please don't pee on me," he said as he pulled away from her.

"Fine, but you have to share those extra hush puppies," she said.

"I don't know," he said skeptically. "I mean I'll share them with my niece, but…" he said jokingly, but stopped when his dad threw a pillow at him.

"We'll let her eat you if she's that hungry," he said, making Mal and Seph laugh.

The family of four enjoyed lunch and talking for a couple of hours before they heard multiple sets of footsteps running through the cave.

"There's her bike," someone sounding like Ben said.

Mal automatically stood up at the sound of the voice, but Hades put a hand on her shoulder, making her take her sit back down. He walked toward the cave door and when he opened it he came face to face with Ben, Evie, Jay, and Carlos.

"Woah, guys," he said holding his hands up. "What's the rush?" He asked.

"Is Mal here?" Ben asked in a panicked tone.

"Yeah," he said. "She's in there with Seph and Hadie," he thumbed behind him.

Ben didn't waste any time rushing past his girlfriend's dad and running into the Lord's home.

"Ben?" Mal asked as she saw her boyfriend run to her and picked her up off her feet.

"Oh gods, Mal," he said as he held her close.

She was so confused. Why was he here? He held her head and buried his head into her neck.

"What's wrong? What are you doing here?" she asked. He pulled away and looked at her with tears gathering in his eyes. "What?" she asked again as she cupped the side of his face. "Why are you crying?"

Ben grabbed the sides of Mal's face and kissed her hard, taking Mal by surprise. Mal was taken back by Ben's actions, but she melted into the kiss. Hades, Persephone, and Hadie looked at the couple with a weird look on their face and turned to the other three for an explanation. Evie, Jay, and Carlos told them how Ben found the note and Mal's rings and necklace sitting on top of the note. They then understood Ben's panic state.

"Mally," Hades said as he walked up to his daughter and her boyfriend, making them break apart. "You can't leave a note with minimal explanation, and your things laying on top of it like that," he said.

Mal looked at her dad in confusion and then realized why Ben and the others came to find her.

"You thought I was leaving you?" she asked, making Ben look down at her and nod. "No," she said as she pulled him close. "I just wanted to see my family," she said as he buried his face into her neck again.

"I know that now," he said as he pulled away. "I just got scared when I saw your rings and necklace," he told her.

"I'm sorry," she said. "I left them because I didn't want to take a chance of someone taking them from me while I was here," she explained.

"Mal, I could give two shits if someone stole them from you," he said. "As I said before, I am rich and get you a million more if that were the case. But money can't replace you or Beastie," he said to her.

"I'm sorry for making you think that," Mal said. "Beastie and I aren't going anywhere," she said as she gave him a small kiss.

"Okay, okay," Hades said as he walked up to Ben and Mal. "I let it slide the first time, but please not in front of me," he said, making everyone laugh.

"I hate to break up the lovely reunion," Evie said. "But… Can we go see Dizzy, Mal?"

Mal smiled and nodded her head.

"Yeah," Mal said. "Do you want to come?" She asked, turning her attention back to Ben.

"Um… I think I'll stay here," he said as he looked at Jay and Carlos.

Ben needed to talk with Mal's parents, and she couldn't be here for it.

"Are you sure?" Mal asked.

Hades walked over and clasped Ben on the shoulder tightly, making the young king flinch.

"Don't worry, Mally. We'll take care of Benny boy," he said as he gave his daughter a playful smile.

Mal squinted at her father as she took a step forward. "Don't break him," she said as she walked past him and over to Evie. "We'll be back."

"Do you want me or Jay to go with you?" Carlos asked.

"I think we'll be fine," Evie said. "It's only a 20-minute walk and I am always armed," she said as she looped her arm through Mal's and walked toward the cave entrance.

The group watched as the two girls walked out of sight, and Ben took a gigantic sigh, hoping that this conversation was going to go well.

"Please don't scare us like that," Evie said once they were walking down an empty alleyway. "Or should I say? Don't scare Ben like that. He was honestly so distraught he couldn't even drive here," she told Mal.

"I didn't mean to do that. I couldn't fall asleep, and I started to think about graduation and Beastie's gender reveal, and how much I wish my dad and brother were there," Mal said.

"That's a name if I ever heard one," someone said, making Mal stop in her tracks.

She turned around and saw the person she never wanted to see again. Trevor. He looked different. He was unshaven and his hair was long, laying on his shoulders. Mal's body went completely cold as he took a couple of steps toward her and Evie.

"Stop, Trevor!" Evie yelled as she put herself in front of Mal.

"What?" he asked with a smirk. "I just want to see how my girls are doing," he said as he continued his slow walk.

"Fuck you, you bastard!" Mal yelled from behind Evie. "She's not yours and neither am I!" she yelled again.

"Awe, baby," he cooed. "Don't be like that. I know you miss me," he said cockily.

"Miss you?!" she exclaimed as she tried to walk around Evie, but Evie kept her in place.

"Mal, stop," Evie hissed. "I got this," she said.

She turned her full attention to Trevor and took a step forward.

"Get the fuck out of here, Trevor," Evie said. "Or you are going to regret ever noticing us," she said through her teeth.

"Shut up. You're all bark and no bite," he said as he laughed. "Plus, I don't think that my friend would like the way you are talking to me," he said. "Especially in front of Mal," he finished as another smirk grew on his face.

As soon as he finished his sentence, Mal felt someone put a hand on her shoulder, making her turn around fast. Mal's body ran cold again when she saw Anthony Tremaine smiling down at her with his crooked teeth

"Anthony," Mal stuttered.

Evie turned to block Mal, but as soon as she did Trevor hit her over the head, knocking her out.

"E!" Mal yelled.

She tried to bend down to check on Evie, but Trevor pulled Mal up by her hair as dragged her away from Evie's body.

"No! Stop!" Mal yelled as she tried to get away from Trevor.

Anthony went to pick up Evie, making Trevor stop.

"Leave her," he said.

"What?" Anthony said in shock.

"We don't need her. We only need Mal," Trevor hissed.

"Please let me go," Mal pleaded as she started to cry. "I'm having a baby, please," she sobbed.

"Oh, baby," Trevor said as he knelt down. "Don't worry. Me, you, and it will be fine," he said. "I just need you to stop struggling," he told her before his fist met her face and she was out. "Let's go," he told Anthony as he picked up Mal and held her in a bridal hold.

"Well, I hope…" Hades started but was cut off by someone yelling.

"UNCLE HADES!"

Uma ran into her uncle's home panting out of breath and shocking her uncle, aunt, cousin, and the three boys sitting on the couch.

"Uma?" Jay and Carlos asked at the same time as they turned to look at her.

Uma held her side, and she was out of breath. "You… you have…" she tried to say.

"Woah," Seph said as she walked up to her niece. "Calm down and tell us what happened," she said.

"She's trying to say that you need to hurry," Harry said as he walked into the room holding Evie in his arms.

"Evie?" Seph, Jay, and Carlos said as they saw her unconscious in Harry's arms.

"Anthony and that fucker took Mal," he said.

Ben's body went completely cold. "What?" he asked.

"Excuse me, your majesty," Harry said as he walked over to lay Evie on the couch.

"What do you mean, Anthony and that fucker?" Ben asked through his teeth.

Uma finally caught her breath and walked up to Ben.

"I'm Uma, your majesty," she said, holding her hand out to him. "I'm Mal's cousin, and this is Harry," she introduced.

"Yeah, Mal has told me about you, but you said Anthony," he said. "As in Anthony Tremaine?" he asked.

Jay stood from his seat and clenched his fist.

"Yes," Harry said. "We saw Anthony and that fucker walking off with Mal, and…"

"Why didn't you stop them?!" Ben asked, enraged.

"We were going to, but then we found Evie unconscious in the alley," Uma said. "We told Gil to follow them while we brought Evie back here," she said.

Ben started to pace back and forth, and so did Hades and the other boys. Ben ran a hand through his hair but stopped when he realized something.

"Was the other guy Trevor?" he asked, not wanting to know the answer.

"We don't acknowledge that he has a name," Uma said. "After what he did to Mal… let's just say I was waiting for him to come to the Isle so he could have a 'proper' greeting," she said with a scowl.

"Why do you care?" Ben asked.

"Mal is my family. No matter what happened between us, I will always have her back," she said. "Family always comes first."

Ben started to pace back and forth again, thinking about all the things that fuck would do to his girlfriend and daughter. His girlfriend and baby need him, and he didn't even know where they were to go and get them.

"Ben. Hades," Seph called. "I know both of you are worried about Mal, but no one can do anything until Gil gets here and tells us where she is," she said.

Ben groaned and pulled on his hair. He received the best news he received since they found out they were having a baby girl, but now his world has been turned upside down.

About 20 minutes later, Gil came running through the cave tunnels. Ben heard the root steps and ran out of the cave, bumping right into Gil.

"Hey. What the…" Gil started, but stopped when he saw Ben was in front of him. "I'm sorry, your majesty," he said as he started to bow, but Ben stopped him.

"Yeah. it's fine," Ben said. "Where is Mal?" he asked as everyone else came out of the cave.

"They took her to Bargain castle," he said.

"What?" Jay and Carlos said.

"Why are they there?" Uma asked.

"I don't know. I didn't ask," he said. "I only saw them take her inside. No one lives there after Maleficent was turned into a flower," he added.

"Let's go," Ben said as he walked past Gil and toward the exit.

"Ben, wait," Hades said, making Ben turn in his direction. "I'll go. You stay here with the others…"

"No," Ben said. "After what we talked about, you are not going. You changed to be a great person. I'll go get them and I'll be back," he said.

"We're coming with you," Jay said.

No one noticed Hades walk back into the lair.

"Yeah," Carlos said as they walked toward him.

"No. It's not…"

"With all due respect, your majesty," Uma said as she walked up behind Jay and Carlos. "Shut up. We know this Isle and we know how to get shit done. We're coming with you," she said.

"Fine, but Trevor is mine," he said.

"Ben," Hades said as he walked over him.

He passed Ben a sword. It was a beautiful sword, with a deep eggplant purple hilt and it was nicely sharpened. Ben assumed it was Mal's because who else would have a sword with a purple hilt.

"Go get our girls," he said.

Ben nodded his head and marched out of the cave.

"Hold up," Uma said. "We need to make a pit stop."

After a quick stop to the Jolly Roger, the 6 teenagers were on their way to Bargain Castle. Ben looked up at the giant castle as they approached it. It was built almost identically to Beast castle.

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" They heard Mal scream from the inside.

Ben didn't wait for anyone to catch up. He ran in, while Jay yelled for him to wait. He kicked the already broken, door down with his foot, making it fall with a loud crash.

"Mal!" He called as the others caught up with him.

"Ben!" She screamed back but was nowhere to be seen. "Help me!"

"They probably have her locked away in her room," Jay said.

"And they're probably not the only ones here," Uma said as she heard a small cackle.

"Oh," someone said but wasn't seen. "You're right about that, Umi," Mad Maddie said as she walked out of the darkness.

"Where is my cousin?" Uma asked.

"Why do you care?" Maddie said as she stalked around Uma. "You guys haven't talked for years, by my count," she said.

"Stalk much?" Uma asked as she put a hand on the hilt of her sword.

Maddie laughed, and then more people came from the shadows. Jay and Carlos grabbed Ben and put them in front of him. The figures coming out of the shadows were Zevon, Fed Frollo, Eddie Balthazar, Ginny Gothel, and Anthony Tremaine.

"Oh, look at that," Maddie said as she stalked toward Uma. "One for each," she said as she threw her head back and cackled.

"I'm surprised you know how to count," Uma said as Maddie started to walk up to Uma.

Maddie spun and kicked Uma right in the chest, making her fly into the wall.

"Oh, this is going to be fun," Maddie whispered as she walked toward Uma and the others ran toward Ben and the rest.

Zevon ran right toward Jay, Fred to Harry, Eddie to Gil, Ginny shimmied Carlos, and Anthony walked to Ben.

"Hey there, lover boy," Anthony said as he smirked at Ben. "You took my love off the Isle," he said. "That wasn't very nice."

"Awe," Ben cooed. "What's wrong Anothony? Are you sad because Mal never gave you the light of day, and fell in love with me? Or are you mad, because mommy changed and granny made you think you were entitled and better than you actually are?"

"Shut up!" Anthony yelled back. "You know nothing! Trevor and I are better than you in every way! Mal is just blind to see it!"

"And that is why Mal and I are having a baby?" Ben asked, taunting Anthony. "Because she is in love with Trevor AND you."

Anthony pulled his sword out of his belt and pointed it toward Ben.

"I wouldn't try," Ben said as he pulled out Mal's sword.

"Why?" Anthony asked. "Taking down the King would give me one hell of a reputation," Anthony said as they stared each other down. "And Mal would have no choice but to stay," he said.

"A better reputation? What? You're not happy with the reputation of being called an almost rapist?" Ben asked, making Anthony swing at Ben's head to only have Ben block it. "Oh," he said as he smirked at Anthony. "Did I hit a nerve? Mal told me what you tried to do," he said. "And I don't appreciate you trying to force yourself onto my girlfriend," he said.

"She wasn't yours and she still isn't," Anthony said as he pushed Ben back and swung at him again.

Ben was fast and they made him captain for a reason. Anthony wasn't good with a sword but tried to play it off as if he was, and Ben knew that.

"Oh, the fake lord is said, because Mally loves someone who is actually something to people," Ben said, making Anthony red.

Anthony charged at Ben, but Ben quickly lodged his sword into the loop guard, cutting Anthony's hand and making him drop the sword. Anthony clutched his hand, trying to stop the blood from pouring out of the gash on his hand. Ben took Anthony's sword from the floor, and hit Anthony's across the head, knocking him out while blood started to drip from his head. Ben broke the sword over his knee before running up the stairs to save his girlfriend and daughter.

Jay and Zevon were swinging swords back and forth, but Jay wasn't even breaking a sweat.

"Oh, come on, Zevon," Jay said. "I'm getting bored here," he said as he swung one more time before knocking Zevon to the ground and making him bash his head into the metal rails of the stairs.

Jay walked over to make sure Zevon was completely knocked out. He kicked his leg, and Zevon didn't even flinch.

"I never thought that the princes in Auradon would be harder to fight than a VK," Jay said as he punched Zevon in the face, just as a precaution. "But, your mom isn't the biggest and baddest anyway," he said before we ran to help the others.

Uma got up from the ground and put her back to the wall. She looked up and saw Maddie walking toward her. Her hair was shoulder length and her eyes were crazy. She pulled her sword out and swung it at Uma's face, but Uma ducked and dove at Maddie just in time. Uma didn't need her sword to beat Maddie. Maddie was crazy, but not strong enough to beat Uma.

"You may have gotten a good kick in," Uma said as she straddled Maddie. "But that's all you are ever going to get," she said before she punched Maddie in the face.

Maddie laughed after Uma pulled her fist back again. She turned her head to look at Uma and smiled, showing her bloody teeth.

"He'll be dead before he reaches her," she said.

Uma looked and saw Ben was gone, and Anthony was lying on the floor knocked out and blood was surrounding his head. Jay was helping Carlos with Ginny. Uma swore that Anthony and Trevor picked the worst of the VKs to be in alliance with. Edgar was a pansy like his father. Zevon was always over his head like his mom. Fred was so conceited and into himself. The only ones that would be considered decent were Ginny and Maddie. They were both psychotic in their own way, which is an advantage for them, but they're still not as strong as the core four and the sea three.

Uma gave one last punch to Maddie in the face, knocking her out. She stood up and saw Jay and Carlos had tied Ginny up and were putting her in a closet.

"Put the rest of them in there too, and lock it," she said. "I'll get Maddie," she said as she pulled Maddie by her hair and dragged her to the closet.

Once they put the rotten VKs in the closet and locked it, they took a breath.

"Where did Ben go?" Carlos asked just as a gunshot was fired.

"Jay. Carlos. Gil," Uma said. "Stay here and make sure they don't get out. We'll go and help Ben."

"Stop!" Ben heard Mal yell.

He looked in different rooms until he heard her. He ran toward her scream, and when he got to the top floor of the castle, he froze. Trevor was holding Mal by her hair and he had a revolver to her head.

"Oh," Trevor cooed. "Looky looky what we have here," he said as he pulled on Mal's hair, making her wince in pain.

"Let her fucking go!" Ben yelled.

"Or what?" Trevor asked. "What is the beast going to do?"

Ben looked at Mal, and she looked back at him. She nodded her head as best as she could, letting him know the baby was fine.

"Trevor," Ben said, trying to make his voice sound calm. "Please let her go," he said.

"You know," Trevor said as he moved the gun away from Mal's head. "I think I'm going to keep her and the kid," he said as he flailed his arm with the gun in his hand.

"She is not yours," Mal snarled.

"Oh, baby," he said as he pulled her head up. "You don't think I heard you say that you didn't know who the dad was when you were talking to your parents?" He asked. "It could be mine," he said.

"She is my daughter," Ben said as he took a step forward.

"Woah. Woah. Woah," Trevor said as he pointed the gun at Ben. "No no no. You stay there."

Ben stopped in his tracks and looked back at Mal. Mal rolled her eyes, trying to tell Ben that she was going to try to get away. He blinked twice, understanding what she was saying. She made a move, but Trevor tightened his hold.

"Woah. Woah," he said as he reached to pull her back. "Where…" he started, but Mal grabbed his upper arm and flipped him, making him let go of her hair and making him shoot the gun off.

She stood and ran to Ben, who met her and wrapped his arms around her.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he cupped her head and looked at her from head to toe.

"Yeah yeah," she said. "I'm fine. Let's go," she said as she took his hand.

There was another shot fired and Mal screamed in pain.

"AAAHHHH!" she screamed as she fell to the floor and grabbed her leg.

Ben fell to his knees to see where she was shot. Trevor had grazed her leg, and Ben tried to get her to stand, but she couldn't hold herself up.

"You're not going anywhere, Mal," Trevor said. "You and that kid are staying here with me," he said as he stood up.

"Mal! Ben!" Uma yelled as she Harry ran up the stairs, making Trevor turn around to see Uma, and Harry standing there.

Ben was fast, and he tackled Trevor to the ground, making him let go of the gun and it sliding across the floor and leaving Mal to cradle her leg.

"Get her out of here!" Ben yelled.

Harry and Uma ran toward Mal, who was screaming in pain, while Ben and Trevor fought.

"Mal!" Uma called as she slid to her cousin.

"Uma?" Mal asked as she looked up from her leg, but yelled in pain again.

Uma untied her bandana from her head and slowly moved Mal's hands, only for Mal to tighten her hold on her leg.

"Mal, you have to let me wrap it so the bleeding can stop," she said to her cousin.

Mal looked at her cousin and saw the worry in her eyes. She slowly nodded her head and let Uma wrap her leg. She turned her head and saw that Ben was still fighting with Trevor, and had the upper hand.

"Did he hurt the baby?" Uma asked.

Mal shook her head. "No, she's fine," she said.

"Good," Uma sighed in relief. "Pick her up and let's get out of here," she said.

Harry leaned down and scooped Mal up in his arm, making her hold on to him tight.

"I got you, Malsy," Harry whispered to her. "I got you."

"Thank you," Mal whispered as she buried her face into his chest.

"Go," Uma ordered. "I'll get Ben."

Harry didn't want to leave his girlfriend, but he also didn't want to defy his captain. He gave a stiff nod and ran past Ben and Trevor with Mal in his arms, and down the stairs. Uma ran toward Ben to only have him push her aside.

"GO!" he growled. "NOW!"

Uma saw Ben's eyes flash yellow. She had never seen anyone's eyes flash except for Mal, Maleficent, Seph, Hades, and Hadie. She swallowed, got up, and ran down the stairs.

While Ben was distracted, Trevor hit Ben in the chest, making him fall back and off of him.

"Oh, Benny," Trevor said as he stood up. "You should have just left Mal with me," she said. "Now you're going to die."

Ben slowly stood up and held his chest. He got Mal out and that is what mattered most, but now he had to figure out how to get out of here.

"Come on, Ben," Trevor said. "Let's finish this. Once and for all."

Trevor dove at the gun that was lying on the floor. He tucked and rolled, aimed the gun at Ben, and fired, but Ben was too quick for him.

"Gotta be quicker than that," Ben said as he dove through a window and onto a long balcony flanked with gargoyles.

Ben was right. This castle was exactly built like his father's castle. He hid behind one of the gargoyles, just as Trevor stepped out onto the balcony.

"What?" Trevor shouted. "You think you're actually good for her? You think she actually loves you?" he asked.

Ben could hear his voice getting closer and he had to think of something. He knew a revolver had five to seven rounds, and that Trevor had already shot three of them. He only had two or four more shots.

"She should have never been with you, and now she never will be," Trevor said as he got closer to where Ben was. "It's over, Ben! Mal is mine!"

Ben looked down and saw a rock. He picked it up and threw it over Trevor's head when he wasn't looking in Ben's direction. The rock flew and hit one of the gargoyles, and made Trevor turn and shoot off his fourth shot.

"Come out. Come out. Wherever you are," Trevor sang.

Trevor didn't know where Ben was. He stalked forward and looked behind almost every gargoyle, but he was like a ghost.

To be captain of the tourney team and the swords and shields team you have to be smart, fast, strong, and a quick thinker. Which Ben was all of that and more. Before Trevor looked behind the gargoyle, Ben was behind, Ben quickly and quietly went back through a window and hid in the shadows.

"What's wrong, Ben, too kind and gentle to fight back now?" Trevor asked as he continued to look around the gargoyles. "What happened to the guy who beat me up in the cell?"

Ben waited until Trevor wasn't facing him. He quietly jumped out of the shadows and walked up behind Trevor. Ben grabbed the gun, taking Trevor by surprise, and kicked him in the back, making Trevor fall to the floor, but hit his face on the roof tiles, and let go of the gun. Trevor turned around and looked up at Ben in surprise. His face hurt and he could feel his warm blood dripping down his face from the bridge of his nose.

"You know what it takes to be a team captain?" Ben asked as he looked down at Trevor. "You have to be a quick thinker, strong, smart, fast, and so many other things. But the main thing about me and how I became captain is that I play dirty," he said as he pointed the gun at Trevor.

"Just kill me already," Trevor spat at Ben. "Come on. DO IT!"

Ben looked down at Trevor and saw a gleam in his eye. The gleam sickened Ben to his core.

"What are you waiting for, KING?" Trevor asked loudly. "DO IT! SHOOT ME!"

Ben stopped pointing the gun and shook his head.

"I am not a murderer," he said before he turned around and started to walk away, still holding the gun in his hand.

Ben walked across the balcony and was about to jump through the window to leave, but he heard Trevor's footsteps behind him, making him turn and fire the gun.

Trevor screamed in pain, cupping his thigh. Ben had shot Trevor in the thigh, just like Trevor did Mal, but made sure it wasn't just a graze.

"FUCK!" Trevor yelled.

"What goes around, comes around," Ben said as he jumped through the window. "And if you EVER come near Mal or my daughter again, while we are on the Isle," he said as he looked at Trevor. "You won't be dealing with me. You'll be dealing with the gods of Olympus and a very angry pirate crew," he finished before he walked away, leaving Trevor screaming in pain.

Jay was holding Mal in his arms as they were out in front of the castle. They decided to leave the rotten VKs after a while because there was no way they were getting out of the closet anytime soon.

"Hey. Where's Ben?" she asked as she looked up at the castle.

They had heard two gunshots since Uma came running out and Mal was scared.

"He'll be fine, Mal," Jay told her.

"I have to go and find him," She said as she tried to get up, but couldn't stand on her own, making two pairs of hands caught her before she fell.

"Woah," Ben said as he scooped Mal up in his arms. "No walking for you."

"Oh gods, Ben!" she exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around his neck and held on to him tight.

She started to cry into his shoulder. She was so scared that she was going to lose him. He sat down and rubbed her back.

"Shhhh. It's okay. I'm here," he said. "We're okay."

Mal looked up at him and her eyes were burning from the mixture of her saltwater tears and her makeup. She saw Ben's dirty face and saw he was getting a bruised cheek. She lightly cupped his face and kissed him, and then made a decision.

"Mal?" Gil said.

Ben and Mal broke apart and looked at Gil.

"We need to get you wrapped up properly," he said. "If you want my dad has loads of things to wrap your leg in."

Mal looked up at Ben who nodded.

"Okay," she said.

They all walked in the direction of Hades layer but stopped at a worn-out building that looked like a tavern. They walked inside, with Mal still in Ben's arms.

"Hello?" a large booming voice called. "Who's there?"

"It's me, dad," Gil called.

Gaston walked out of a door and stopped when he saw Ben. To Gaston, he looked just like Belle with some of Adam's features.

"Oh," he said. "Hello, your majesty and Lady Mal," he said as he gave a low bow.

"Hello," Ben said.

"Dad, where are the wraps for when someone is hurt?" Gil asked.

"They're in the draw," he said as he pointed to a table. "Right there. Why?"

"Mal is hurt," Uma said.

"What? What happened?" he asked as he walked over to the royal couple.

"Trever shot her in the leg," Carlos said.

Gaston let out a small growl. He saw Mal's wrapped-up leg and left sorry for her. He held his hands out to her.

"May I?" he asked.

"Um… Yeah," Ben said as he placed Mal in Gaston's arms.

"Alright let's get you fixed up," he said as he walked over to the table and started to clean and wrap Mal's leg.

After he was done he sat Mal down on a chair and apologized for what Trevor did. She tried to tell him that it was not his fault, but he cut her off. He told her that Trevor had come to him the day he was sent her. Trevor was in bad shape and told him that he was beaten up the second he got to the Isle. Gaston didn't know who he was at first, but when he said that he was his son, Gaston was in shock. He didn't know he had another child and didn't know who his mother was. Gaston asked him what his crime was for, for being sent to the Isle, but Trevor never said. He stayed with Gaston and his kids for a while, until Uma came over and saw him. She yelled and screamed at Trevor for being there. That's when they figured out why he was sent to the Isle. After that Gaston kicked him out and told him he was no son of his.

"Wow," Ben said, making Gaston look up at him.

"I may have been a pompous ass all those years ago, but having your own children changes you," he said.

Ben smiled at Gaston and he saw Adam's bright smile from when they were kids. He walked over to a nearby nightstand and opened the draw. He pulled out an old photo album and turned back to Ben.

"When we were brought back to life, all of our belongings were thrown on the Isle and I managed to find my photo album from when I was a child," he said as he held it out for Ben.

Ben took the album and opened it to the first pages. There was a photo of his dad as a child, running around with Gaston.

"You guys were really friends," Ben said as he took a seat to look at the rest of the album.

"Yeah. We were best friends," Gaston said. "When the Enchantress cast the spell on your father, she wiped all memory from everyone about him."

Ben looked up at Gaston and smiled. He never knew any of this. He wanted to take the photographs for his dad to see, but they weren't his to take.

"Take them," Gaston said, making Ben look back up at him. "I have one more thing you could take," he said as he walked to a nearby bookshelf.

He came back with a very warm out boom in his hand. He gave it to Ben and when Ben looked at it he saw it was a copy on Sleeping Beauty.

"Ironic. Don't you think?" Gaston asked as Ben took the book from his hand. "Your mother's favorite chapter was Maleficent," he said, making Mal chuckle. "When she told me about the book the first time I brushed her aside, telling her women shouldn't read, but I remember her saying that."

Ben opened the book and saw his mother's handwriting written all over the pages.

"Take that to your mother, and tell her I am sorry for the way I treated her," Gaston said.

Ben reached his hand out to Gaston. "Thank you," he said with a kind smile.

Gaston shook Ben's hand and returned his smile.

"Hey, babe?" Mal said, making Ben look at her. "I am so happy that you guys are getting along, but I think my parents are going to be worried if we're not back soon."

Ben nodded and gave Mal the book and album before scooping her up in his arms again.

"Bye," Gaston said as he waved at the teenagers as they left his tavern.

"I swear if they aren't back in 30 minutes, I'm going after them myself," Hades said as he paced around the room.

Evie was now conscious and sitting with Hadie on the couch.

"Why didn't you let me go with them," Hadie said.

"Because you are 14," Seph said as she stood up and walked toward her husband.

"And because we're back," Ben said as he walked into the lair with Mal in his arms and everyone else following him.

"Oh gods, Mal!" Persephone exclaimed as she rushed to her daughter. "What happened?"

Hadie got up and stood next to his dad.

"Trevor shot my leg," she said as Ben sat down and placed her in his lap.

Evie let Mal lay her legs on her own. "I'm sorry, Mal," Evie said.

"Don't be sorry, E. You did what you could," she said, making Evie smile at her best friend.

Seph went to unwrap Mal's leg, but Mal stopped her.

"Gaston cleaned it and wrapped it. He said it doesn't even need stitches," she said. "He said it may leave a scar, but I should only be sore for a day or two because it probably burned. He also said I was lucky that he didn't use iron bullets, because he didn't know how I would react to it, with me being half god and fae."

"Well, that's good, you actually might heal faster because of you being half-fae and god, but I still may kill that fucker," Hades said as he sat on the wooden table in front of them.

"Well, he won't be walking for a while or if at all for that matter," Ben said, making everyone look at him.

Ben looked around and saw everyone was waiting for an explanation. He sighed and pulled the revolver out of his back pocket, and placed it on the table next to Hades.

"You shot him?" Mal asked in shock.

"He was hurting you and my daughter," he said. "Yes, I shot him."

Mal thought he sounded a little too cocky and chuckled.

"You weren't going to at first though?" she asked. "He tried to attack you and you shot him," she said with a smirk on her face.

"First, yes," he said, making everyone laugh. "And second, I really wanted to kill him, and am hoping he bleeds out on that roof," he said.

"And you're the KING of AURADON?" Hadie asked, making Ben chuckle and nod.

"How's my granddaughter?" Hades asked.

Mal smiled, took her dad's hand, and placed it on her baby bump just in time for her to kick.

"Wow!" Hades said as he raised his eyebrows. "She's strong," he said.

"Just like her mother," Ben said as he kissed Mal's head.

"Well, I am sorry to cut this moment so short, but we are going back to Auradon now," Seph said as she stood up. "We have a worried grandma here, who wants to make sure that all THREE of my girls are okay. So, when we get back we are calling a doctor and your aunt," she said as she pointed to Evie and Mal.

Ben helped Mal up so that she could hug her dad. When everyone was done saying bye to Hades and Hadie. Ben helped Mal walk over to Uma, Gil, and Harry.

"Thank you," Mal said as he pulled Uma in for a hug, while Ben still had a hold on her hip. "I'm sorry."

"We both did our damage, but we're family," Uma said as she wrapped her arms around Mal. "Family always comes first."

Mal pulled away and smiled at her cousin before Ben helped her to Harry and Gil. Ben, Evie, Jay, and Carlos said goodbye before leaving for Auradon. Jay drove back While Mal sat in Ben's lap. Ben called the doctor and told them to be at the castle as soon as possible. Seph called Hera and told her what had happened. She didn't even have to tell Hera to go to the castle. Hera said that she was already there, waiting in Mal's room. The rest of the way back Mal rested her head on Ben's shoulder as he rubbed the side of her stomach with his thumb. Mal sighed as she thought of the many feelings she was going to feel after her aunt checked her over.

"Shot?! What do you mean, Mal got shot?!" Belle asked as she started to storm out of Ben's office.

"Mom, wait!" Ben called. "Mal is fine. The baby is fine," he said. "The doctors are upstairs checking on her and Evie, and Hera is up there to check on the baby."

"Ben, please tell us everything," Adam said as he walked to pull Belle back into the office.

Ben told his parents everything that happened today, from reading Mal's note to going to the Isle, and the fight with Trevor, and to going to Gaston's. His parents stared at him in shock.

"You shot him?" Belle asked.

"This is the guy that raped Mal, kidnapped her, and held a gun to her head," he said. "Yes, I shot him because he was going to attack me from behind. But can you please tell me that you are disappointed?" he asked.

"I'm not," Adam said. "He deserves it."

Belle shook her head and chuckled. She knew he deserved it, but she wasn't going to say it out loud. She looked back at Ben's desk and saw the two books sitting on the corner.

"What are those, Bubsy?" she asked, pointing to them.

Ben smiled and grabbed them. He passed the photo album to his dad and the book to his mother, making them look at them with confused expressions. Adam opened the album and he gaped at the pictures. He never thought he would see these photos again and they brought a tear to his eye.

"What are they dear?" Belle asked as she lowered his arm so she could look at the album. "Gaston had this?" she asked.

"Yeah. he found it and he found that book too," he said as he pointed to the book in his mom's hand.

Belle flipped the book over and saw it was a worn-out copy of Sleeping Beauty. "Oh," she said with a smile on her face. "I used to read this book all the time when I lived in the village," she said before she opened it and then let a gasp out. "This was mine," she said.

Ben smiled as his parents looked at all of the items they treasured.

"Yeah, he said he was sorry for treating you badly," Ben told his mother. "He also thought it was ironic that your favorite character was Maleficent," he said.

"Well, she was dead, and I never thought she would be…" she started, but stopped. "I told him that," she said. "He remembered?"

Ben nodded and smiled at her. He was about to say something, but his phone went off, letting him know he had received a text.

Mal to Ben: Hey. Hera just left with my mom. Everything is fantastic.

"Hey, Hera left and I'm going to see what she told Ma," Ben said as he put his phone in his pocket. "I'll call you when we're ready," he said as he walked out of the room, but his parents weren't paying attention. They were busy looking at their memories from an old friend.

"Mal?" Ben called as he opened her door, and poked his head in.

"Over here," she said as she waved her hand and had a big smile on her face.

She was laying in her bed in a pair of lilac pajamas. Ben walked over and sat on the edge of her bed.

"How is our girl?" He asked as he placed a hand on her stomach.

"She is doing amazing," Mal said.

"Great!" He said. "Where are Evie and the others?"

"Jay and Carlos went back to Evie's to get some clothes, and Evie is in her room with the doctor," she said.

"Cool," he said as he rubbed her stomach.

"She's yours you know," Mal said.

"I know," Ben said. "I don't care what Trevor said. Blood doesn't make a parent. Love does," he said. "And I love her and her mother. So so much."

Mal smiled down at her boyfriend as he looked at her stomach. She took his hand and squeezed it.

"No," she said, making Ben look at her with a confused look. "She. Is. Yours," she stated slowly.

Ben was still confused and then his eyes widened.

"What?" He asked, making Mal smile. "She… she's mine?" He asked. "Biologically?"

Mal nodded her head and laughed. She had asked Hera who the baby's biological father was and she told her it was Ben. Mal was so happy she started to cry in Hera's arms. She told Mal that she offered to tell her on the day of the open house because she knew that baby was Ben's and she would have been more hesitant to offer if the baby was Trevor's.

Ben smiled as wide as the Cheshire cat. Beastie was always his daughter, no matter the DNA results, and would be forever, but knowing she was his daughter biologically would, hopefully, make Mal's worries go away. He leaned forward and pulled Mal out of the bed and spun her around the room.

"You asked her?" Ben asked.

"Yeah," Mal said, nodding her head. "After hearing what Trevor said, I needed to know. I wanted to know and I needed you to know, and I couldn't wait any longer" she said.

Ben leaned down, cupped the side of Mal's face, and kissed her deeply. He held her closely, still off the ground. Ben was overjoyed. More so than he already was, but now knowing that Beastie was his and Mal's made everything in his world ten times brighter. He was in love with Mal and he loved his daughter. Nothing could ever change that, and he was going to make sure nothing ever did.
