Okay so first off. Yeah I'm alive. Some shit has happened, it's great and I'm back for now? I have no idea how long I'm going to be here but eh. Can't believe I published this back in 2017 and that the last update was fully one year, one month, and some odd days. Fun. Alright let's see if I still got it yeah?

It didn't take long to catch up to her; she wasn't exactly trying to get away either. Natsu had simply lit himself on fire and Mira's work had simply turned into ash. Natsu stopped for a second. Mira had stopped and was up to something. Maybe hiding. Her breathing had slowed and Natsu couldn't see any trace of her having continued to run. Natsu decided to make it at least a little bit fair and dulled his senses, but they were still far above that of any normal human. Natsu looked around, trying to figure out where she was before he heard some rustling somewhere off to his left. He stalked over towards the sound and found absolutely nothing on the ground. The brush had been disturbed and there were a few broken branches. Nothing major but Natsu stopped to inspect them. He bent down and didn't see anything of importance so he took to his next area of search. He instead looked up. What a mistake that was.

He found what he was looking for. Mira was grinning down at him. Hmm. Natsu jumped up. That was a mistake. Mira held, in the palm of her hand, Natsu's demise. He jumped straight into a glob of clay that she had been holding, smashing all of it into his salmon head of hair. The thing about clay was that it didn't simply come off. It was sticky when wet, hardened and stuck when dried or fired and it's melting point just made it stickier.

"That was a nasty little trick!" Natsu chuckled before shaking his head and rubbing his hand through his hair.

"I have to get you somehow. You can burn just about everything else unless you want me to drop charcoal in your hair?" Mira teased, "What's that gonna do?"

"I dunno, confuse me?"

"Not that hard to do, Torch," Mira chuckled.

"Touche. I'm going to wash this off now. I'd rather not have my hair clinging to my head."

"We passed a river on the way. Or I did anyhow," Mira said pointing in the general direction.

Natsu grunted in acknowledgment. They made their way over, with Natsu trying to get back at Mira to no avail. Unfortunately for him, she simply made her way around him, dancing around him. Natsu would have chased her around honestly. The only issue was that he didn't feel like getting any more clay stuck in his hair. It already sucked enough that he couldn't burn it off, he didn't need any more. Upon approaching the river bank, Natsu stripped off his clothes and hopped in. He landed just about chest deep and waded there for a moment.

He was going about his business, dunking his head underwater and washing his hair when he realized. Oops. Mira was still here huh?

"Hey Mira are you going to join or what?" Natsu asked without looking. He was aware of the eyes on his back though he didn't really care. Wasn't exactly abnormal, "Uh you doing alright there?"

"Let me guess, dragons aren't big on nudity either?" Mira asked meekly.

"No not particularly?" Natsu said though it came out as more of a question.

"Well. Let's put it this way, humans are," Mira said.

Natsu turned to look at Mira for the first time since jumping in the river, where he was met with the sight of a heavily blushing platinum blonde. Natsu figured it was just the heat before chuckling, "Are they now?"

"Yes. They are."

"Well I'm sorry then," Natsu trailed off, "Why exactly is it a big deal?"

Mira looked at him, "Dragons are weird."

"Hey! Humans aren't exactly super normal either!" Natsu yelled, jumping out of the river.

"Clothes Natsu, please!" Mira said, turning around. Natsu could hear the blood rushing to her face.

"Alright alright one second," Natsu said.

Mira felt heat blast her back before Natsu asked if she could throw him his pants. She grumbled something about dragons and their strange tendencies before tossing him the desired article of clothing. Natsu strolled right up right next to her a couple of seconds later. Mira glared at him for a second before sighing. It wasn't exactly his fault. He might be four hundred, but he hadn't really been around non dragons all that often.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Mira asked.

"Well, aside from getting something to eat," Natsu said as he pulled a rather large skewer from gods know where, "I think it's time we go back to the guild and all. It's been about oh I'd say five and a half days?"

"Uh what?"

"Did I say something?"

"Only about us being gone for about five days?" Mira asked before remembering that time was different.

"Oh yeah. I wanted to make some stops before we went all the way back. There's some stuff I want to get before we go back. I can drop you off and bring you back if you'd like? I was considering picking up Gajeel and maybe Gray."

"Gajeel? Like the guy from Phantom Lord?" Mira asked, "Why would you want to get him?"

"Well, he is another dragon slayer and there aren't that many of us so I should probably go get him at some point."

"I get why you wouldn't be worried about him but I can think of about three people who wouldn't be super happy with him around."

"That's true but he doesn't have to join the guild. I only need to know that he listens."

"Is there a particular reason for that?"

"Dragon thing. Unfortunately for everyone but most especially me and other dragons, I'm at a point where I really want to beat up other dragons. It's like we want to prove ourselves. Plus I like fighting a bit too much for my own good."

"Well you can always fight me or one of the other S-classes," Mira chuckled.

"Can I?" Natsu asked excitedly, "I've been itching to fight Makarov please let me fight Makarov?"

"That's not exactly up to me but sure?" Mira asked.

"Alright I'm gonna fight Makarov!" Natsu shouted before Mira clocked him in the back of the head, "Hey! What was that for?"

"We haven't even gotten home yet!" Mira shouted back, "Hey. Actually, do you even have a home?"

"Of course I do! What do you call all of you?" Natsu asked.

"No no thats great and all but I mean a house."

"Oh," Natsu trailed off, "Nope! Don't need one. I like sleeping in the forest anyway!"

"Alright I dunno what I was expecting but I guess that makes sense," Mira said, pinching the bridge of her nose, "I guess we should get back then huh?"

"Sure! Let's go," Natsu said before looking at Mira with a devilish grin that she found quite pleasant to look at, "I'll race ya!"

Mira simply gave him a grin of her own before flipping into one of her satan souls, "First one there owes the other a drink."
