It's been a week since Mia was born. Mal, Ben, and the baby had come home from the hospital two days after she was born. They had told the hospital staff, their friends, family, Aurora and her family to not mention to anyone that the baby was born. They wanted to wait until Hades and Hadie had met her for the entire world to know.
"She hasn't had any contractions in the past couple of days?" Hades asked as he, Hadie, and Seph walked up the castle steps.
"No," Seph said with a small smile. "But, she's doing… great."
"You're acting weird, mom," Hadie said as they walked up to the larger wooden doors.
Ben, Belle, and Adam opened the door, making Hades and Hadie turn their attention to them.
"Hi, Mr. Drakos," Ben said as he held his hand out to Hades.
"Ben, you knocked my daughter up and you may be my son-in-law later," he said, making Ben chuckle. "You can call me Hades."
"Hades," Ben said as he smiled at Mal's dad.
He turned his attention to Hadie and the two exchanged a small hello, while their parents said hi to each other. Ben was talking with Hadie when his phone went off and he saw that Mal had texted him, telling him that she was ready for him to bring them up.
"Hey," he said, making Hades and Hadie turn to him. "Mal's wondering where we are."
"Where is she?" Hadie asked.
"She's upstairs in bed," Ben said. "She was resting, but I can take you up to see her."
"Well, let's go," Hades said as he walked further into the castle and toward the stairs.
Ben walked them up to his and Mal's room, and quietly opened the door. He walked in, letting everyone follow him inside. Mal was sitting on their bed and under the covers, trying to hide that she wasn't pregnant anymore.
"Hey, Mally," Hades said as he walked over to her. "Don't get up. We'll come to you."
"Hi, dad," she said with a bright smile on her face.
Hades jogged over to his daughter and sat down on the edge of the bed to give her a hug. Hadie took his shoes off before hopping on Ben's side of the bed and hugging his sister.
"How you feeling, Mally?" he asked as he pulled away from her.
"I'm amazing," she said with a smile.
"You're not tired?" Hades asked.
"Well, yeah I'm tired, but…" she started but was then cut off by Mia cooing.
Hades and Hades' eyes widened when they heard the soft cooing.
"Ben, can you get her for me?" she asked.
Ben gave Mal a smile before walking over to the small bassinet in the corner of their room. The two gods snapped their heads in the direction Ben was walking in, and watched as he picked up the baby that was inside.
"Good morning, Mia," Ben said as he placed a kiss on the top of her head. "Do you want to meet your papa and uncle?" he asked as he walked over to Mal, her dad, and brother.
They followed the baby as Ben brought her over to Mal. Mal cradled Mia in her arms before looking back up at her dad and smiled. Hades' eyes were locked on the beautiful baby girl that his baby girl was holding, and he couldn't help but be speechless.
"Wait!" Hadie said as he shook his head. "When? What? How? What?" he asked, making Mal chuckle.
Hades looked at his granddaughter with a shocked expression. He had never seen something so beautiful since Mal was born. He finally looked up at Mal and saw her smiling at him before he looked back at the baby.
"You weren't supposed to be here for another week," he said as he smiled down at the baby. "You're just like your mother, always trying to take people by surprise."
"Do you want to hold her?" Mal asked.
Hades gave her a slow nod, before Mal gently placed Mia in his arms. He looked at her and his heart swelled with joy.
"She looks just like you, Mally," he said. "Except she had Bennyboy's hair."
"Actually," Ben said as he walked up to them. "If you see it in the right light, her hair glistens purple," he said as he shined a light from his phone on her hair, making Mia's hair shine purple.
"Wow," Hadie said. "So, she's like 85 percent Mal and 15 percent Ben," he said, making everyone laugh.
"She is 100 percent perfect," Ben said, making Mal look up at him. "Just like her mother."
Hades felt Mia wrap her tiny hand around his finger, making him notice the small mark on her ring finger.
"Well, it already looks like Mia has someone out there for her," he said as he looked up at Ben, making him groan a bit.
"She is never going to date," Ben said as he threw his head back. "Because no one will ever be good enough for her."
"Agreed," Hades, Hadie, and Adam said, making Belle, Seph, and Mal laugh.
"Can I hold my goddaughter?" Hadie asked as he looked at his dad then sister.
"Be very careful," Hades said. "If you drop her, you're swimming home," he said as he gave Mia to Hadie.
"She's so tiny," he said as he looked at his niece.
"She is about the same size as you and Mally were when you were babies," Seph said.
"I thought Ben was going to be small, but he was so chunky I wanted to eat him," Belle said.
"Okay," Ben said, trying to change the subject. "Let's get off the subject of how chunky I used to be, shall we," he said.
Mia started to cry in Hadie's arms, making him panic.
"Oh uncle," he said. "What happened? I didn't do anything."
"It's fine, Hadie," Mal said as she took the baby from his arms. "She's probably hungry."
"We'll leave you two," Seph said as she held her hand out of her husband.
"Okay," Mal said as she sat up further in the bed. "We'll be down in a bit."
"Can I stay?" Hadie asked, making everyone in the room look at the 14 year old in confusion.
"You want to stay in here as I breastfeed your niece," she said.
"Yeah, no never mind," Hadie said as he shook his head. "I'll head down to the kitchen to see if Mrs. Potts has something sweet to eat."
"Probably a good idea," Adam said as he clasped Hadie on the shoulder. "Plus, Belle told Mrs. Potts to make you your favorite."
Hadie's eyes widened when Adam said that. He didn't even hesitate to sprint out of the room, making the adults laugh.
"Okay," Ben said. "Let's leave and Mal will be down in a bit."
Normally Ben would stay with Mal, but with her dad here, he didn't want to make it seem weird. They walked out of the room, leaving Mal to feed the baby.
Mia's eyes had changed a bit in the past few weeks. They had gone from blue to green, but the color around the corneas was gold.
Hades was sitting outside sitting on one of the lounge chairs, under an umbrella, and with Mia laying on his chest.
"There you two are," Mal said as she walked up to her dad. "Ben told me that you took Mia from his office while he was doing his paperwork."
"I thought I would give him a break from watching her and so he can focus on running the kingdom," Hades said as he stroked Mia's nose with his index finger. "I'm sad to be leaving in a couple of days," he said as he looked up at Mal.
Hadie and Hades had been in Auradon for a little less than a month. It was just past Thanksgiving and they were going back to the Isle in a couple of days. They had bonded with Mia, got to see Evie, Jay, Carlos, and the rest of Mal and Ben's friends. After a week of Hades and Hadie being in Auradon, Mia was announced to the kingdom, overjoying everyone in the land.
"I know, but you'll be back in a couple of weeks for Christmas, and I'll be going to the Isle to collect applications for the new VKs and Ben and I are going to pick the new bunch up."
"I still don't like the fact that you're going back to the Isle," he said as he stood up and walked toward the castle. "Especially with Trevor still being alive."
"Dad, I'm going to be fine," Mal said. "The only reason I didn't fight back last time was because I didn't want Mia to get hurt."
"I know, but I'm still worried."
"Why?" Mal asked. "Jay and Carlos are going to be there. Plus, I know that you're going to be lurking in the shadows if anyone tries to start anything."
Hades turned and smiled at his daughter. "You know me so well," he said.
"Yes, I do," she said as she smiled at her dad. "Everything is going to be fine. I promise."
Hades looked at her sceptically. He didn't want Mal on the Isle, but he also knew that she was one of the five in charge of the VKs program. She had an obligation to that, to her friends, to the isle kids, to Ben, and to Mia. He wanted Mia to be proud of her mom, not that she won't be either way, but he wanted Mia to know that Mal is the best person, mother, and queen Auradon and the Isle will ever have.
"Okay," Hades said, giving Mia to Mal. "I know you can handle yourself. You have always been and probably always will be the toughest girl I have ever met."
"What about Lonnie?" Mal asked with a laugh.
Hades laughed remembering when Jay and Lonnie came over the day they got there. They were arguing about who was the better sword fighter between the two. Jay was taunting Lonnie, telling her that there was no way she was better than him. Hades was going to butt in, but Lonnie dropkicked Jay, making him fall to the floor with a grunt. She stood above him and placed her foot on his chest, and Hades laughed watching one his daughters best friends get his ass kicked.
"She is tough, don't get me wrong, but she isn't godly tough," he said.
"Mally is the toughest," Hadie said. "And I'll give you this," he said as he handed Mal a sealed envelope.
"What's this?" She asked.
"Open it," he said.
Mal opened the envelope and found one of the applications filled out with all of Hadie's information on it.
"What?" Mal asked in shock. "I thought you didn't want to apply because you didn't want to leave dad," she said.
"I didn't, but mom and dad talked to me and they want me to at least apply," he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "But I don't want you or Ben to pick me because I'm your brother. I know you guys are only picking 5 and if someone else needs it more, please don't pick me," he said.
Mal nodddd her head at her brother, happy that he at least applied for the program.
"Bye, dad," Mal said as she wrapped her arms around her dad's neck.
Today was the day that Hadie, Hades, and Seph were going to the Isle until Christmas. Sure, it was only 3 weeks, but it didn't mean that Mal was going to miss her family.
"We're going to be back in less than 3 weeks, Mally. A couple of days before Christmas," Hades said as he pulled away from his daughter.
"I know, but still," she said.
"I can't wait," Seph said excitedly to Ben as they walked out of the castle.
"Can't wait for what?" Mal asked as she looked at her boyfriend and mom.
"Um… for Christmas," Seph said. "It's going to be Mia's first!"
"I know," Mal said with excitement in her voice. "Where's Hadie?"
"He said he was going to give Mia a kiss before we came down stairs, he should be…"
"I'm here," he said as he came down with his backpack on his back and two of Mia's blankets over his chest.
He had his arms over his stomach and looked really bundled up.
"Why do you have Mia's blankets?" Mal asked as she squinted her at her brother.
"I wanted to take something to remember her while I'm away, and I am cold," he said as he started to bounce up and down.
"Yeah. Uh huh," Ben said before he moved the blankets and unzipped Hadie's jacket to find Mia hiding under the jacket. "Yeah. That's what I thought," Ben said as he threw Mia's blankets over his shoulder. "Give me my kid."
Hadie huffed before he gave Mia to Ben, and made Mal and Seph laugh.
"Come on my princess," Ben said as he held Mia in his arms. "Did uncle Hadie try to take you to papa's cave?" he said as he walked back into the castle.
When Ben was out of sight Seph and Hades smacked Hadie on the back of the head.
"OW!" he said as he rubbed the back of his head. "I wasn't actually going to take her. I don't want my niece on the Isle or anywhere near it," he said.
"We know, but the joke was not appreciated," Hades said as he pushed Hadie toward the limo.
"We'll see you in a couple of weeks," Seph said as she gave Mal a hug.
"Bye, mom," Mal said as Seph let go and walked to the limo.
Mal watched as the limo rode away, and then felt an arm snake around her waist. She looked up and saw Ben looking down at her.
"They'll be back," he said as he kissed the top of her head. "And next time time they are going to bring Uma, Harry, and Gil."
"I know," she said and then noticed that Mia wasn't with him anymore.
"Chip has her," he said. "I wasn't even in the kitchen for half a second before she wasn't in my arms anymore," he said, making Mal laugh.
"So…" Mal said as she snaked her arms around his neck. "What I'm hearing is that we have an hour before Chip comes to find one of us to tell us Mia needs changing?" she asked as she raised her eyebrows at him.
Ben didn't even hesitate to pick up Mal and run upstairs with her, to make the most they had of the hour.
"Mal!" she heard Evie yell as she was rocking Mia in her nursery.
A minute later Evie and the rest of the girls rush into the nursery, freezing when they see Mia sleeping on Mal's chest.
"Oh," they all whispered. "We're sorry."
Mal chuckled before getting up and placing Mia in her crib.
"It's okay, guys," she said as she turned on the monitor and grabbed the one with the screen. "Let's talk in mine and Ben's room," she said as she walked toward the connecting door.
Once the door was closed, Mal jumped on the bed to face her friends.
"What's up?" she asked.
"We're supposed to go Christmas shopping for the guys, your family, and the sea three, remember?" Lonnie asked as she jumped on the bed as well.
"Oh, crap!" she exclaimed as she hit her head with her palm. "I completely forgot. And they're going to be here in 3 days."
"Then let's go," Audrey said. "We'll take the monitor to Ben's office, and then if he has any meetings today I'm more than sure that one of the guys will come and watch her."
"I wish Belle and Adam were here," she said. "I hate bothering them and the guys, but Belle would say yes before you guys even came and reminded me," she said with a laugh.
"When are they coming back?" Jordan asked.
Belle and Adam traveled back to the village Belle and her father lived in to visit her father. They had still yet to tell him that Ben and Mal had a baby, and were going to surprise him when they brought him for Christmas. Maurice knew about Mal from the letters that Benwrote to him. He lived alone, in the same cottage that Belle had lived in with him, but he had no television or newspapers, and he didn't know about all of the drama that had happened between Ben and Mal. But, he was so happy to find out that Ben had found the girl of his dreams.
"They are coming back tomorrow, and I still have to get Maurice's gift from Mia to him," she said.
"Well, let's get this show on the road then," Evie said as she pulled her best friend off the bed and out the door.
Jordan grabbed Mal's purse and closed the door before closing the bedroom door, and following the girls down to Ben's office. Mal walked into the waiting area of Ben's office, and walked up to Bryan's desk.
"Hello, Lady Mal," Bryan said with a kind smile.
"Hello, Bryan. Is Ben in a meeting?" she asked.
"No," Bryan said, shaking his head. "Just busy with some paperwork. You may go in if you would like."
"Thank you so much," Mal said as she walked around his desk with her friends following on her heels.
"Ben?" she called as she opened the door to see her boyfriend close his laptop really quickly.
"Hey, babe," he said as she looked up at her.
"Hi," she said as she walked over to his desk and gave him a kiss. "Hey. I need to run a couple of errands. Can you watch Mia?" she asked.
"You're asking me if I can babysit my own daughter?" he asked as he tilted his head at her, making her laugh.
She shook her head. "No, but I didn't just want to take her because it's too cold, and I wanted to ask in case you had any meetings."
"Nope," he said as he leaned back in his chair and placed his hands on the back of his head. "Very easy holiday this year. No ball, because Mia is only a month old and we wouldn't even be there over half the time, and my dad lit town square because I want Mia to be able to remember the first time she was there."
"So, next year is going to be Mia's first stressful Chistmas," she said with a cooed tone. "And at the age of 1. How exciting," she said, with a laugh and making all the girls laugh.
"You know what," Ben said as he sat up. "Just give me the monitor," he said, holding out his hand for the monitor in Mal's hand.
She gave Ben the monitor before giving him another kiss, and leaving with her friends.
When Mal had gotten back to the castle it was almost 9 at night. The castle was quiet, and the only people who were running around were Cogsworth and Lumier, fighting over where the decorations were going to be going. She put her bags down before taking her coat off, and put it in the big coat closet because the castle was very warm. She picked up her bags and walked up the stairs to her and Ben's room. She walked in and the room was dim. The tv was on, playing the main menu to a movie, and when she looked at the bed and saw Ben asleep with Mia asleep on his chest. He was shirtless and was wearing a pair of blue striped pajama bottoms. Mia's face was smooshed against Ben's chest, and it reminded her of the picture of when she was a baby and she was sleeping on her dad's chest. Mal took her phone out of her pants pocket, and quickly took a picture with the flash on, waking Ben up in the process.
"Sorry," Mal whispered as she brought the phone down from her face. "You guys looked so cute and I couldn't resist."
"It's okay," Ben said groggily and as he slowly sat up, trying not to wake up the baby. "Did you get everything you needed?"
"Yes," she said as she walked to their closet to change. "I finished getting Uma, Harry, Gil, my dad, my mom, Hadie, you, and your grandpa from Mia."
"Wow," Ben said as he walked over to the bassinet and laid Mia down inside. "That's quite a list you had."
"Yeah," Mal said as she walked out of the closet wearing a set of cotton pajamas. "Now the fun part of wrapping them," she said as she crawled into their bed.
"Do you want any help?" he asked.
"No," she told him as he crawled in next to her. "I have your gifts in there too, and I don't want any chance of you seeing them." she said.
"I would…"
"I swear to my uncle, Benjamin. If you say that you would not snoop, I'll sleep in Mia's crib," she said, making him laugh.
"Okay, my birthday was different because the idea of not knowing what you got me was killing me because I didn't want anything," he said, making her laugh.
"Well, you are going to have to wait like everyone else, mister," she said as she rested her head against his chest.
"Fine," he said as he wrapped his arms around her. "But anyway, how was your day?" he asked.
"It was good. They girls and I shopped for all of you guys, had dinner, and just had a good day with each other," she said. "Aurdey even bought something for Gil."
"Really?" Ben asked in an astounded voice.
"Yeah. She was actually really excited to get him something," she said remembering how excited Audrey was to see Gil. "Oh, and apparently Ariana has a pen pal."
"What?"
"Yeah, I know," she said as she tightened her arms around Ben. "I guess house arrest has made her be… friendly?"
"Does Audrey know who it is?"
"No, Ariana is very secretive about it. She doesn't want people butting into her business, but that could be because her naked body was shown around the school almost a year ago," she said.
"Yeah, understandable," he said. "Hey. Maybe she will have a change of heart like Leah did."
"Maybe," Mal said before she and Ben drifted to sleep.
"My Benny boy," Maurice said as he walked up the castle steps with Belle and Adam following behind him.
"Hi, papa," Ben said as he took the last few steps to meet his grandfather. "How was your trip?"
"Oh it was fine," he said as he pulled away from Ben. "You know me. Just annoying your parents with my chatter the entire time," he finished, making Ben, Belle, and Adam laugh. "Now, where is this lovely girlfriend you have been writing to me about? I have been dying to meet her."
"She is in mom's library with Mia," Ben said as he smiled at his parents.
"Mia?" Maurice asked. "Is that one of her relatives?"
"You could say that," Ben said as he guided his grandpa into the castle and toward the library.
They walked into the library to see the top and back of Mal's head sitting on the couch.
"Mal?" Ben called, making Mal turn her head to look at him.
"Oh, hi," Mal said as he stood up with Mia in her arms, making Maurice go into shock.
"Oh," Maurice said. "Who is this little lady?"
Ben met Mal half way and then they walked toward Maruice.
"This is Mia," Ben said. "Your great-granddaughter."
Maurice covered his mouth before a tear rolled down his face. He looked between Ben and Mal before walking closer to take a better look at the baby.
"May I hold her?" He asked as he looked up at Mal.
"Of course," she said as she gave Mia to Maurice.
Maurice looked down at the beautiful little baby in his arms, and thought she was the most beautiful baby in the world.
"This was not how I was expecting to meet you, Mal," he said as he looked up at her with a kind smile.
"To be honest, this was not the way I thought I was going to meet you either," she said, making the older man chuckle.
"Well, it is very nice to meet you," he said. "The both of you, and may I add that she looks just like you."
"I know," Mal said. "We have been told a lot."
The six of them enjoyed a day of talking and story telling about everything that had happened since Mal and her friends had come over from the Isle, and hoping that Christmas would be filled with so many fun memories with Mia.
"Where's my niece!" Hadie exclaimed as he bursted through the castle doors.
"Woah," Seph said as she pulled on the collar or Hadie's jacket. "She is sleeping, like Mal told us when we came through the barrier, and if you wake her up I will let Harry and Gil hang you from the Jolly Rogers mast when we get back home."
"Seph, don't make a pirate a promise you can't keep," Harry said as he, Uma, Gil, and Hades walked into the castle.
"Hey, guys!" Mal said as she walked down the giant staircase.
She ran forward as the sea three met her half way, and they joined in a group hug.
"I'm so happy you guys are here," she said as they pulled away from each other. "Evie, Jay, and Carlos will be headed over in a bit. They went to get the others."
"Do we get hellos?" Hades said as he held his hands out.
Mal smiled at her dad before she ran and was engulfed in the arms of her parents. She saw Lumier, Cogsworth, and Chip walking into the castle with their luggage. They smiled at Mal before walking past the family to take the bags upstairs. The monitor on Mal's belt loop made her pull away from her parents.
"I'll get her!" Hadie said as he started to run up the stairs.
"No, uh uh," Uma said as she ran after him. "Back off! It's my turn! You already met her!" she yelled as they both disappeared up the stairs.
"So, when…"
"Gil!" Audrey yelled in excitement as she ran up to the dirty blonde haired boy.
Gil turned around and when he faced her she jumped into his arms, almost knocking him off balance. Their friends walked into the castle and said their hellos, and stared at Gil and Audrey who were still hugging.
"He has been talking about her since we left the baby shower, and when your dad told us that Ben invited us for Christmas, Gil was so excited and even made her a gift," Harry whispered to Mal.
"She bought him something too," Mal said as Audrey and Gil finally broke apart. "You know they're soulmates right?" Harry looked at Mal with wide eyes, not knowing what to say. "Gil's is a rose like mine, and Audrey's is a set of bull horns," she said as she smiled watching Gil and Audrey talk off to the side. "She thought they were beast horns, until I came along. Then Ben wanted to be with me and finally told her that I was his soulmate."
"I'm happy for you, Malsy," Harry said as he gave her a side hug. "I'm glad that you got off the Isle. Even though we went through a huge rough patch, I'm glad that we're all friends again."
"Then why did you three say no to living in Auradon permanently?" Mal asked as she looked up at Harry.
"You know why," he said. "We're not leaving that Isle until every kid, who deserves to get off, is off," he told her. "I would feel horrible knowing that we're here and my sisters, the twins, Celia, Dizzy, your brother were still trapped on the Isle," he said, making Mal nod her head. "When they're off is the day that we come over."
"Fair enough," she said and then saw Uma walking down stairs with Mia in her arms and Hadie pouting behind her. "So, you want to go and meet my daughter?" she asked as she nudged the pirate in his arm.
He turned in the direction Mal nudged him in to see his girlfriend with her baby cousin in her arms. He smiled as he watched Uma bounce the baby on her hip. He walked over just as Mia looked up to look at him.
"Hello, little lass," he said as he put his finger in her hand.
"Watch that hook on your hip, Hook," Ben said as he walked into the grand entryway with his parents and grandfather following behind him. "I'll hook you if you hook my daughter."
"No need to worry, your majesty," Harry said as he picked Mia out of Umas arms. "I put a cork on it before we left," he said as he turned to show Ben the cork on his hook.
Ben laughed as he walked over to Mal and wrapped an arm around her waist. They watched as everyone talked and passed Mia around to see her. They were so happy to have their loved ones in one place, and that they are happy.
"You know," Ben said as he leaned down to whisper in Mal's ear. "With everyone spending Christmas here, we will only get to hold or be around Mia when we take her to bed."
"Oh, I am very aware," Mal said as she continued to look at her friends and family. "As long as she is around people who love her, that is all that matters."
A knock at the door woke Mal up. She sat up and saw that Ben was still asleep and Mia was laying next to him, with Ben's arm around her tiny body. Mal slowly got out of bed and walked to the door. When she opened it she saw Belle standing on the other side with new pajamas in her hands.
"I'm sorry, honey," Belle whispered. "Did I wake you, Mia, or Ben up?"
Mal shook her head. "No. It's okay. Ben and Mia are still asleep."
"Well, I just wanted to drop these off for the three of you," she said as she gave Mal the new set of pajamas.
"Thank you, Belle," Mal said with a smile. "I'll get Mia ready, have Ben get ready, and we'll be downstairs in about 15 minutes."
"Okay, sweetheart," Belle said. "I'll see you in a bit and Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas," Mal said.
Belle gave her son's girlfriend another smile before turning and walking down the hallway to get things ready for their Christmas morning.
"Merry Christmas, everyone," Ben said as he, Mal, and Mia walked into the dinning hall to see all of their friends and family wearing their new pajamas.
Each couple were matching, except for Maurice, Gil, Aurdrey, Aziz, Ryder, and Hadie, but Mia was matching Ben and Mal. Even Chip and Mrs. Potts were matching.
"Oh," Seph cooed as she stood up and walked over to Ben and Mal. "Don't you look beautiful, Miss Princess Amelia Rose Anderson," she said as she took Mia out of Mal's arms.
"Wow," Mal said. "First name and title. I'm scared for her."
"Shush, Bertha," Seph said, making Mal laugh.
"That is the first time mom has ever used my middle name or told me to shush."
"There is always a first time for anything," Seph said as Ben pushed in Mal's chair. "Now is she fed or do you need to make her a bottle?"
"I'll do it!" Almost everyone, minus Ben, Evie, Belle, Adam, Seph, and Mrs. Potts said at the same time.
"Well seeing as none of you produce milk, I would love to see you guys make her a bottle," Mal said as she looked at her friends and family.
Ben chuckled and shook his head before walking into the kitchen. He walked to the refrigerator, pulled out one of the bottles, and ran it under the warm water. When he walked back people were mingling, but stopped when they saw him with a bottle in his hand.
"These were in the fridge," he said as he walked over to Seph.
"Those were not in the fridge when Harry, Gil, Jay, and I raided the fridge last night," Uma said.
"That's where one of my pies went," Mrs. Potts said with a chuckle.
"Mal put them in there late last night," he said as he walked back to his seat.
"Yeah," Mal said. "I probably came down after you guys were done. I have to pump every night."
"Gross," Hadie said as he shook his head and continued to eat his food, making everyone at the table laugh.
Everyone was enjoying their Christmas and all of the gifts they had received. Belle and Adam had given everyone a new ornament, or their first one if it was their first. Gil was sitting with Audrey on the floor after they exchanged gifts. She had given him an iPad with cellular data on it so that they could FaceTime. He had made her a set of jewelry. A bracelet that he welded so that it looked like vines with a small roses growing out of the sides, a pair of dangling earrings that were thorny vines with roses on the end, a necklace that looked just like her bracelet, and a ring with a twisted band and a rose on the top. Gil had gone to Hades and asked him if he had any small jewels that he could add to the middle of the roses, thankfully Hades gave Gil a handful of pink and baby blue gems that he could put in the roses.
Mal had gotten Uma a nail polish set with a whole nail care kit, a new chain for her shell necklace, and a bath set. She had gotten Harry a new pair of boots, a bath set, and a polishing kit for his hook. And she had gotten Gil a new pair of boots, a wood working kit, and a bath set. Ben had gotten them each cell phones so that they could keep in touch now that he had put a cell tower on the Isle. Evie had made them all clothes. Carlos had given them accessories and headphones for their phones. Jay had gotten them new belts with hilts on them.
"Wow, guys," Uma said as she looked at all the stuff in front of her and the two guys. "This is all amazing."
"There is one more thing," Ben said as he walked over behind the tree. "And these are from Mia," he said as he pulled out three swords in different colored scabbards.
Ben passed the teal on to Uma, the red one to Harry, and the brown on to Gil. They looked at the swords before looking at Ben and Mal.
"I saw how dull and old yours were in the Isle," he said as he picked up Mia from her new play mat. "Mal's was the only one who was sharp enough to actually draw blood."
"Wow," Harry said as he pulled out the sword to look at it.
They were single edge stainless steel swords. The blades curved slightly upwards, forming a saber shape common during the Golden Age of Piracy. The D-guard hilt is finished with a brass tone, and the curving arm of the guard protects the wrapped-look grip, attaching to the hilt just above the rounded pyramid shaped pommel.
"Just don't kill anyone," Mal said as she pointed to the pirate.
"I make no promises. There is a certain someone whose blood will stain this sword," he said.
"I don't object," Ben said as he threw his arm over Mal's shoulder.
"Ben, you have to be partial because you are king," Mal said as she looked up at her boyfriend. "What is Mia going to think if you actually wanted someone dead?"
"First, I don't have to be partial to the guy that raped my girlfriend, then kidnapped her, and then tried to kill me," he said as he looked back at Mal. "And second, Mia would know that he deserved it and that he was a horrible human being."
"Amen," everyone cheered, making Mal look around the room and laugh.
"You guys got everything?" Mal said as she walked out of the castle with her family and friends.
"Yeah," Uma said as she turned to look at her cousin. "Got my bags, the oh so many gifts you all got for us, and the applications for the VK program."
Mal gave her cousin a smile before Hades and Hadie walked out of the castle.
"We'll see you in a couple of months," Hades said as he wrapped Mal in a tight hug.
"Yep," she said as she returned the hug. "And this time I'll be visiting you."
"Yeah, don't remind me that you'll be on the Isle," he said as he pulled away, making her laugh.
"She'll be fine," Harry said as he walked out of the castle with Mia in his arms.
She was dressed like a tiny pirate, and had a headband on her head that had a small pirates hat on it. Mal shook her head as she looked at her daughter in the pirate's arms. She never in her wildest dreams thought she would be standing on the porch of a castle watching Harry hold her daughter.
"The sea three will be looking after her and the core four, and obviously you will too," he said as he looked up at Hades.
"Yes. Yes," Mal said. "VK day will be under a lot of security with all of you there," she said.
"Damn right," Harry said as he started to walk to the limo with Hadie.
"Harry," Mal called, making his turn to her. "Can I have my daughter?" she asked as she pointed to Mia, who was still in his arms.
"She's my pirate in training," he said as she held her close to his face.
"And when you three move to Auradon, and with mine and Ben's permission, is when you can teach her sword play," she said as she took Mia out of his arms. "But, she is never going to the Isle."
"Fine," Harry groaned. "Where's Gil?"
"I'm coming," Gil said as he walked out of the castle with Audrey.
"I wish you guys could stay longer," Audrey said as she leaned her head on Gil's shoulder.
"You'll see us again," Uma said. "Hell, you might even FaceTime Gil on our way back to the Isle," she said, making the princess blush.
"Okay," Hades said as he walked up to the group of teenagers. "Let's head back home. You guys have applications to hand out and I have a job to do. No one else is going to judge those souls. Tell Ben, Belle, and Adam we said bye."
"Okay," Mal said as she nodded at her dad.
He leaned down and kissed Mal on her head before doing the same to Mia. Gil kissed Audrey on her cheek before getting into the limo with Harry and Uma. Hadie ran to give Mal a hug and Mia a kiss before he and his dad got into the limo, and closed the door behind them.
Mal and Audrey watched as the limo drove away. Mal couldn't wait until VK day. That was the day they were going to change the lives of 5 kids on the Isle. She just hoped everything would go as planned.
"How is she?" Hades asked.
"Like I said when I got here," Mal said as she looked up at her dad.
"She is fine. 7 months old, sleeping through the night, trying to sit up by herself but needs a little support, her first tooth is coming in, and she is almost crawling," she said.
"I feel that she's growing up too fast," Hades said.
"Me too."
"Attention Isle of the Lost!"
"That's my que," Mal said before she walked toward Evie, Jay, and Carlos.
They walked down an ally way of the Isle, making every kid look at them in awe.
From the North to the South
From the East to the West
Lost boys, lost girls
You all know you're the best
Hit the streets, it's your day
Turn it up, now's your chance
It's time to get up on your feet and dance
Whoo
Kids started to follow them as they marched, but none of them noticed Gil recording them with his phone.
Anybody wanna be like us?
Everybody wanna be like us!
Hey
All the boys from Auradon
And the girls 'cause they know what's up
Huh!
Your life could change today
Your life could change today
These streets named after us
Because we paved the way (c'mon)
They all went in separate directions as they collected the applications from all the kids.
Everyone come and take your shot
Now's the time, show 'em what you got (ah)
'Cause everyone is gonna get their chance
They said that being from the Isle was bad
The kids were so excited and happy to be able to get a chance to live in Auradon. They all rushed to give their applications with smiles on their faces.
Well, it's good to be bad
And we're proof of that
Used to be lost, now we're on the map
Used to steal stacks, now we're giving back
Remember that
It's good to be, bad
If you got pride
Raise your V's up high
Wave 'em wide, side to side
Feel the vibe
It's good to be bad
Evie and Mal climbed up onto a high makeshift stage while Jay and Carlos stayed in the crowd.
I wanna see you all rep your block
I wanna see you all rep your block
Hey
Show your pride, let me hear ya shout
We're from the Isle of the Lost! (Yes)
We're here to celebrate
We're here to elevate
If you're down, then make your move
But you best not hesitate
Come on!
Mal walked to the edge of the stage and looked out to the crowd of kids, while the sea three and her dad were watching from the back.
Today's the day that you won't forget
The best to come ain't happened yet (ah)
Take a bow, it won't be your last
You're from the Isle if anybody asks (whoo)
It's good to be bad
And we're proof of that
Used to be lost, now we're on the map
Used to steal stacks, now we're giving back
Remember that
It's good to be
Bad
If you got pride
Raise your V's up high
Wave 'em wide, side to side
Feel the vibe
It's good to be bad
Jay and Carlos walked to the front of the stage before everyone moved out of their way.
They can try to deny our style
But we were born this way
'Cause you can take the VK outta the Isle
But you can't take the Isle out the VK
If you wanna make it hype, not a moment to waste
Make it loud, make it live, make it jump to the bass
Make it what you want, but you'd better make your case
'Cause the Isle makes us and we're reppin' this place
Carlos and Jay walked up onto the stage meeting the girls on the edge.
So when I say "V", you say "K"
V-K-V-K
When I say "all", you say "day"
All day, all day
When I say "V", you say "K"
V-K-V-K
When I say "all", you say "day"
All day
Come on
Hey
It's good to be, bad
It's good to be bad
And we're proof of that
Used to be lost, now we're on the map
Used to steal stacks, now we're giving back
Remember that
It's good to be, bad
If you got pride
Raise your V's up high
Wave 'em wide, side to side
Feel the vibe
It's good to be, bad
Everyone started cheering and clapping before Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos jumped off the stage and were swarmed with kids. They knew what they were doing was going to make a change for every kid, and they were so excited.
"Look," Ben said as he pointed to Mal. "It's mommy," he said, making Mia squirm in his arms when she saw Mal.
"Hello," Mal said with a giant smile on her face as she jogged up the castle steps.
Mia held her hands out for Mal, and when she was close enough Mal pulled the baby into her arms, letting her bag fall to the ground.
"How are you, Beastie?" Mal asked. "Were you good for daddy?"
"Well, if throwing her Cheerios at daddy is defined as being good, then yes," Ben said as he gave Mal a kiss on her cheek, and picked up Mal's bag.
"That's my girl," Mal said as she walked into the castle and made Ben laugh.
They walked up to their room and when Ben put Mal bag down something fell out of it. It was a piece of paper, but it was dirty and folded. He picked it up and opened it before slowly walking up to Mal.
"Babe?" He said, making Mal turn to look at him. "Who's Mads?"
"Who?" She asked as she put Mia in her playpen.
"This fell out of your bag," he said as he gave her the note for her to look at it.
Please help us Mal!
-Mads
Mal looked at the note in shock. She hadn't heard that nickname in years.
"Who's Mads?" Ben asked again.
"It's Mad Maddie," she said, making Ben look at her with a shocked expression. "What does she mean by help?"
Okay guys that's it for now. Please let me know what you think!
Until next time my lovies! xoxo GM
