Hello Lovies! Here is a long awaited update, and I am so sad to say that the next chapter will be the last, BUT and I mean a big BUT I will be leaving the ending open so that if later I want to continue it I can. ;)
Urmimaa Hazra: Thank you! I understand people's frustrations with Ariana and Mal forgiving her, but I want Mal to be a queen of the people instead of vengeance. Hadie is the next king! I explained it a little n this chapter but if you get confused still please PM me lol and I'll explain.
Creator of Magic: Thank you! I love how I did the wedding, and I really hope you like what I did with this chapter!
brimason0201: There is a small bit of a honeymoon. This chapter is jumpy, but I added everything I needed in it and it is still 8,000 words lol! I hope you like it.
jessaminego5134: everything but kind of that last part is in this chapter. The next will be a more descriptive chapter about how everyone is doing.
andjelija.enicia: thank you so much! The next is the last, but i am leaving it open so I can continue it if I want to start it up again or make a small sequel. And I want to get some of my other stories up and running like this one.
ChordOverstreetFan: lol yeah... but things go over your head when we are emotional and not thinking straight.
ENJOY!!
Hadie was dancing with Mia, back at the castle after Ben and Mal's surprise wedding, and he was making the almost one-year-old laugh as he twirled her around. Mal and Ben walked up to the, before Mal tapped her brother on his shoulder.
"Mama!" Mia said as she saw Mal and Ben.
"Hello, Mrs. Anderson," Hadie said as Mia squirmed and reached for Ben.
"Come here my princess," Ben said as he took Mia from his brother-in-law. "Mommy needs to talk to uncle Hadie."
Hadie looked at Mal in confusion, after hearing what Ben had said. He didn't know why Mal needed to talk to him. Was he in trouble? Did he do something wrong?
"Come on," Mal said as she nudged her head to walk away from the small crowd of people.
"What's wrong?" Hadie asked as he and his sister headed toward.
"Nothing's wrong, Hadie," Mal said as she walked over to their parents who were sitting at a table waiting for them. "Remember when I said we were going to talk with mom and dad about what happened with Trevor?"
A shiver went up Hadie's back. He hadn't thought about what happened last week, and he honestly didn't want to think about it. He didn't know what his parents were going to say or how they were going to react to it. They hadn't said anything yet, but they could be waiting so that they didn't make Mal and Ben's day about him.
"Hello, my loves," their mom said as her kids walked up to the table and sat down.
"Hey, mom," they both said, but Hadie was looking down, not wanting to talk about the situation.
"So," Hades said, making Hadie peak up at his dad. "Are you going to tell me what happened?"
"I… um…"
"Do you think we are mad at you?" He asked, ripping off the bandaid of the conversation.
Hadie shrugged his shoulders, not really knowing what to say.
"Honey," Seph said as she reached across the table to grab his hand. "What would make you think that?"
"Well… I technically killed a person," he said.
"Okay, first," Hades said as he held his hand up. "Trevor was not a person. He was a monster. He did despicable things that even Maleficent would think are evil," he said, making Mal shake her head and laugh.
"Okay," Hadie said. "You have a point, but…"
"You think I am mad because you are going to be the next lord of the underworld?" He asked, making Hadie's eyes widen. Hadie slowly nodded his head, not knowing what was about to come next. "Why would I be mad for something that is meant to be yours?" He asked.
"I thought Mally was supposed to be the next lord of the underworld?"
"No," Hades said as he shook his head. "It has always been you since you were younger," he said. "Mally is only half god and is half fae. She knew from when she was 13 that she wasn't going to be taking my throne."
"Why wasn't I informed?" He asked as he put his hand on his chest. "I was scared that I was going to get yelled at for taking it from Mal."
"You can't take away something that wasn't mine to begin with," Mal said, making Hadie look at her. "Plus, you're chosen for the throne, not given it. Things are different in Auradon from Olympus."
"I didn't know that," he said. "I thought because dad was made Lord of the dead that it would directly go to you."
"No," Persephone said as she shook her head. "It used to be that way, but things change, and the rules are different."
"How?"
"When Hercules was born, and everything happened," she said as she turned to her husband and gave him a grin that made him shake his head and laugh. "Things changed in Olympus, because Hercules was the next one to rule Olympus instead of his older brother," she started to explain. "But he decided to stay on earth to be with Meg. It's your choice to carry on and take the throne, but it is yours if you want it."
"I didn't know that," Hadie said. "I just thought it would go to Mal because she is the oldest."
"Nope," Mal said as she shook her head. "Maybe you should concentrate more on how our family works and less time on sleeping and eating."
"I don't eat that much."
"If you can eat more than Jay, then yes you do."
"That is just his powers sinking in," Seph said. "It's like normal puberty for humans. He'll sleep and eat a lot more until he gets used to his powers and he doesn't tire out. I know it sounds weird, but it's true."
"It sounds super weird," Hadie said as he laughed.
"Plus, we didn't know that your full powers were going to come to you all at one time," Hades said. "Or else we would have had you be more prepared."
"Well considering the situation," Seph said.
"Huh?" Hadie asked.
"What were you feeling when you grabbed the ember, and the warmth started to consume you?"
"I was mainly angry and relieved," he said. "I was angry, because of all the harm that Trevor was starting, but I was also relieved, because Uma told me that he didn't have Mia somewhere."
"That's it," Hades said. "Your anger didn't trigger your powers. Knowing that Mia couldn't be hurt, and that you could protect Auradon, triggered them."
"I wasn't thinking about Auradon though," Hadie admitted. "I was thinking about all the things he did to the people I cared about."
"When I said Auradon, I wasn't being very descriptive," Hades said. "Your love for the people you care about in Auradon made you come out of your shell, and embrace your powers, just like Mal's fae powers did when she turned into a dragon."
"Which is really cool by the way," Hadie said as he looked at his sister. "Do you think Mia will be able to do that later?"
"I'm not sure, but I am fine waiting," Mal said as she laughed. "Plus we don't know if she will be having my magic or Ben's beast traits."
"Ben's beast traits?" Hades asked in confusion.
"Ben has leftover beast enchantment that carried over to him when Belle was pregnant," she started to explain. "He is super strong, he growls, his eyes will flash gold, and he was actually cursed into a beast by Trevor."
"No shit?" Hades asked. "Wow!"
"I know," Ben said as he walked up with Mia in his arms. "I wasn't that pleased with it, but I was surprised and happy that I didn't hurt Mal when they found me."
The family of four looked up at their new member and the baby, before smiling at him.
"You turned into a beast before?"
"No," Ben said as he bounced his daughter in his arms. "That was the first time, but I knew about the strength and growling, which Mal doesn't let me live down."
"And I never will!" She said as she held her hands out to take Mia from her husband. "I don't want to leave you," she said as she scrunched her face at Mia, making her giggle.
"Well, she is going to be staying with Auntie Evie, who needs the practice," Ben said as he sat down next to Mal.
"What?" Hades, Hadie, and Seph asked in confusion.
"That is a question for a different time, but Evie and Doug are going to be watching Mia while Ben and I are on our honeymoon, even though I asked Ben if we could take her," Mal said as she pouted at her husband.
"I said I didn't care if she went, Evie and everyone else on the other hand said for us to leave her."
"That's true," Seph said. "You need this time to be together, and to celebrate your love for each other."
"Me giving Ben a baby is showing my love for him," Mal said as she laughed, but everyone else sighed. "Too soon?"
"Maybe just a little," Ben said as he showed her how little with his fingers. "But I will let it slide this time."
"So," Hades said, making Ben and Mal turn to them. "When are you two going to announce your marriage? I thought that you," he said, looking at Ben. "Had to have the whole show."
"The 'show' is optional," Ben said as he wrapped his arm around Mal's shoulder. "If things were done like they were way back when, Mal and I wouldn't have even been able to go on dates alone, let alone share a hug."
"Ah," Hades sighed. "The good old days." Seph smacked his arm, making everyone laugh. "I was only joking," Hades said as he gave his wife a cheeky smile. "If things were done like that, Mia wouldn't be here."
Mia heard her name and started to squirm and giggle in Mal's lap, making everyone laugh.
"Yes, I am talking about you," Hades said as he reached over and picked up the baby. "Gods, I can't believe that you are almost one."
"I know," Mal said as she pouted. "She's getting so big and she needs to stop."
"Is she going to take the throne when she is 18 too? Or do you and Mal get to choose the age she gets to take your place?" Hadie asked as he looked over at his brother-in-law.
"Mal and l will ask her what age she wants to rule. Obviously, not until she is of age, but she will get a say," Ben said as he watched his daughter while Hades bounced her up and down on his knee.
"That's good," Hadie said as he smiled at the baby. "She needs to be able to be a kid and have fun. Everyone deserves that," he said as he turned his smile into a sad one.
Ben and Mal knew what he was thinking about, and they couldn't help but feel sad too. They knew that there were so many kids on the Isle that didn't deserve to be there, and after what happened with Trevor, they knew that they had to do something. They shared a knowing look, agreeing to talk later, after everyone had gone to bed or had gone home. She leaned head on her husband's shoulder, before he kissed the top of her head.
"May I have one more dance with my bride before she is just my wife?"
"Oh, now l am just going to be your wife?" she asked as she took Ben's outreached hand and chuckled.
"No," Ben said as he twirled her around on the dance floor. "You are and will always be my queen."
She shook her head and chuckled. She loved how goofy Ben was, and she couldn't wait until the world knew that they were married. Sure, they may hear things from other royal families, about how they needed to have a proper wedding, but they would get over it sooner or later. They were happy with their decision, and wouldn't change it for the world.
"That was an easy decision," Ben said as he got into bed, after putting Mia in her bed. "It was almost as easy as asking you to marry me."
"Thanks, babe," Mal said as she put her sketchbook down on her nightstand. "l am glad that marrying me was such an easy choice."
"You know what l mean," he said as he started to tickle her on her hip, making her squirm.
"Okay. Okay," Mal said as she pushed him away. "I was only kidding. When do you want to do it?"
"The same day as our, or your, coronation," he said without hesitation. "I do not want to wait another second after. It will be our first act as king and queen together."
Mal smiled at him before she threw herself at him, and kissed him hard on the lips. She loved the changes that were going to come and she was happy that she was able to make these changes with the love of her life and her soulmate.
"Don't start something you are not going to finish," Ben said as he clutched her hips tightly.
"Who said I can't finish?" She said as she started to kiss his jaw line.
He let out a small moan as she trailed her lips down his jaw and to his neck. They haven't had many moments like this since Mia was born, but this was their wedding night and Mia was sleeping through the nights now, and Ben was ready to take advantage of the time he was going to get with his wife. As she lightly started to suck on his neck, he lost it. He let his beast out and started to pur, before he tightened his grip and flipped them over, making Mal lay on her back. She lightly chuckled before she caressed his face and brought his lips to hers.
"The monitor is on right?" he asked in between kisses.
Mal nodded her head, not verbally answering his question because she was too in the moment. He didn't question her because they never turned it off to begin with. Luckily, Seph gave them an enchanted one so that the batteries never ran out.
"Remind me to thank your mother for the monitors. They have been a lifesaver," Ben said, as he pulled away from their lingering kiss.
"Do you really want to be talking about my mother or baby monitors on our wedding night?" she asked as she rolled her eyes at him, making him laugh.
"No," he said as he shook his head. "I'm sorry. I just want to make sure that we have everything we need before we start."
She scrunched her nose at him before he pressed his lips to hers again. He trailed his lips down her neck, rubbing his stubble tickle her and send shivers down her spine. She started to squirm, making him grip her hips harder, pinning her to the bed. She grabbed the hem of his shirt before she started to pull it over his head. His hands flew back to her hips so that he could hold her still.
"Are you teasing me?" Mal asked as she knotted her fingers into Ben's hair.
"Oh, baby," he said as he looked down and smirked at her. "I haven't even started."
Both of their eyes flashed. Ben's flashed gold, while Mal's flashed green. Husband and wife sealed their marriage with more than just a kiss, and they both fell asleep entangled together. They were in love and happy where things were going to be going in the future. They were married, they had a beautiful princess, they had their friends and family, and anything they could ever hope for, and they were going to make sure that everyone else was going to be getting their happily ever after.
The Auradon Bugle:
His majesty and his fiancé, Lady Mallory Drakos want to make a special announcement this coming weekend. What do you think the royal couple will tell all of us? Maybe a date for the royal wedding? Maybe there is a new prince or princess on the way. Well, we will just have to wait and see because the royal couple is taking a holiday with their daughter, and we cannot wait to see all of the wonderful family photos Lady Mal and King Ben will post of Princess Amelia.
"Thank you again, Evie, for offering to watch Mia while we go on our honeymoon," Ben said as he gave Doug Mia's diaper bag.
"You don't have to thank me for wanting to watch my beautiful niece," Evie said as she took the happy almost ten month old out of Mal's arms. "I can't wait to have mine be this happy," she said as she held Mia up in the air, making her giggle.
"Well, you don't have to wait that long," Mal said as she smiled at her best friend and her daughter. "You'll meet them sooner or later."
"And I can't wait," Doug said, before he kissed the top of Evie's head.
Evie was so scared to tell Doug she was pregnant, because she didn't know how he was going to react. A million thoughts ran through her mind as she made her way to meet him, after her meeting with Ben and Mal a week ago, but she was surprised and elated to see that he was happy about becoming a dad. She may not have found an actual prince, but she did find her prince, and that was all that mattered. She had visited her mom when she went to the Isle the day of VK Day, and her mom was more than happy to see the life that Evie had built for herself, which was making Evie excited to tell her that she was going to become a grandma.
"Me either," Mal said, making Evie break out of her thoughts and realize what Mal had said.
"You do know that this is your baby right?" Evie asked as she placed Mia on her hip.
"I know," Mal said as she poked her baby's stomach. "But this time I am going to be Auntie Mal."
"More like Fairy Godmother Mal?" Evie aske/told her.
Mal froze and widened her eyes, hearing what came out of her friend's mouth. She didn't expect Evie to ask her to be their chosen godmother, and she wouldn't have been mad if they had chosen someone else.
"And we want Ben to be their Godfather," Doug added.
"Really?" Ben and Mal asked at the same time.
"Duh," Evie said. "How could we not pick our best friends to be the godparents of our baby?"
"We wouldn't want to choose anyone else," Doug said as he walked over to Ben and hugged his older friend. "Evie and Mal are sisters, but you, my dear king, brought my princess over from the Isle. I wouldn't be having this life if it wasn't for you."
Ben gave his friend a smile before returning the hug. He had always been close to Chad, Ryder, and Aziz, but Chip and Doug were like his brothers.
"I would be honored, Dougie," Ben said as he pulled away and saw Evie and Mal hugging, while squishing Mia in between their chests. "Don't squish my daughter to death," he said as both girls pulled away and laughed.
"We better be going before the press notices that Mia isn't with us," Mal said as she looked back at her baby and started to pout.
"And we better go now before Mal changes her mind, and we end up taking Mia with us." Ben said as he snaked his arm around Mal's waist.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea," Doug said as he took Mia out of Evie's arms. "Say bye to mommy and daddy." he said he waved Mia's hard, making her laugh.
Ben and Mal turned around and walked away from Evie, Doug, and their daughter so that they could enjoy their week-long vacation to celebrate their marriage. As they drove off, Doug and Evie waved before turning around and walking back into their castle. When they walked in they saw Dizzy, Celia, Hadie, and the twins asleep on the floor in her living room.
"DE DE!" Mia squealed as she saw her uncle asleep.
She squirmed in Doug's arms, before he set her down and she crawled over to her uncle. Before she smacked Hadie in the face to wake him up, she looked back at Evie and Doug like she was asking for their permission to do it. Both of them nodded their heads, before she smacked Hadie on his forehead, making his eyes dart open as Mia started to giggle.
"Mia," Hadie said as he rubbed his eyes and started to laugh. "I thought you were going to be here later?"
"Hadie, it's almost 5 in the afternoon," Doug said as he walked over to sit on the couch and wake up the twins. "Belle and Adam came to pick you up, but you were knocked out and we said that we would just keep you here for the night."
"Crap," he said as he reached over and grabbed his phone. He saw three missed calls from Belle and then a text saying that she would be by tomorrow for a fitting and lunch with Evie, and if he would like to go back to the castle he could go with her. "Thank gods she is not mad."
"Why would she be mad?" Evie asked as she sat down on the couch next to Doug while everyone else sat up on the floor. "Belle loves you."
"Did we really sleep for 5 hours?" Dizzy asked as she stretched her arms up in the air.
"Yep," Doug said with a nod. "You guys ate the spare cake we made for my dad's birthday and then knocked out on the floor."
"That would explain the frosting in your hair," Squeaky said as he pointed at his brother.
"Why don't you five go upstairs to shower and change?" Evie said as she picked up Mia and stood up. "I'm going to get dinner started, and by the time you all are done, dinner will be ready."
"Okay," they all said as they got up and walked toward the stairs.
"And Hadie!" Evie called, making the blue haired teen turn back to her. "There should be some clothes in Mal's/your room."
"Thanks, Evs," he said as he smiled and turned back to jog up the stairs.
"You're a natural," Doug said as he stood up and wrapped his arm around her waist.
"You think?" She asked as she smiled at him.
"I know," he said before he kissed the side of her head. "Now, let's go," he said as he picked up Mia out of Evie's arms and tossed her up in the air. "Everyone is going to be here soon, and you know how hungry Jay Ryder, and Aziz get."
"Very true," she said as she walked toward the kitchen with Doug and Mia in tow. "Now, what should be on the menu? Chicken? Fish? Pizza? Spaghetti?"
Mia clapped her hands when she heard spaghetti, making Evie laugh.
"I see we have a winner," Evie said as she tickled Mia's tummy. "Why don't I make chicken parmesan, because I know mommy and daddy have not added meat to your spaghetti?" She asked, even though she knew she wasn't going to get an answer.
"My turn," Jay said as he held his hand out to Audrey, because she was holding Mia.
"I have had her for like 5 minutes," Audrey said as she pulled Mia closer to her. "Give me at least 10 more minutes."
"You have had her for more than 10 minutes, now cough her up," he said as he took the baby out of the princess's hands.
Audrey crossed her arms and pouted because Jay took the baby away.
"Put the lip away," he said as he sat down and started to feed Mia spaghetti. "You act like this is going to be the last time you see her."
"I know it's not, but I was having fun."
Evie and Doug sat there quietly as they watched their friends eat and enjoyed the time together. Both had yet to tell anyone that Evie was pregnant, and they were very nervous to be making this announcement.
"Hey," Evie said, making everyone look at her. "Can I tell you guys something?"
"Anything, E," Carlos said as he wrapped his arm around Jane and smiled at his sister.
Evie smiled at him, before turning to Doug and taking a breath. She knew that they would be excited for her, but she didn't know why she had nots in her stomach.
"Okay," she said. "I know we try to get together as often as we can, but there is a special reason why I asked you all to come to dinner."
"What are you pregnant?" Jay asked as a joke.
Evie didn't say anything, making everyone look at her, waiting for her to respond.
"What?" Jordan said as she covered her mouth.
"You're pregnant?" Jay asked again as he picked up Mia and held her in his arms.
Evie slowly nodded her head, hoping that everyone would be happy for her. Jordan and Jane were the first to get up and wrap their arms around Evie, making her start to cry.
"How exciting!" Audrey said as she started to clap her hands. "Does Mal know?"
"Yeah," Evie and Doug said at the same time.
"After everything that happened, FG and I went over to talk about their secret wedding and I got nauseous and threw up."
"Good," Jordan said. "She would have killed you if you told us without her."
"Very true," Carlos said as he walked over and wrapped his arms around his sister. "I'm happy for you, Evs. You're going to be an amazing mom, Doug is going to be an amazing dad, and I'm going to be an amazing uncle again times two."
"Uncle of two!" Jay said as he threw Mia up in the air, making her laugh. "You're going to have a cousin. And if they are a girl, like you, they are NEVER going to be around boys."
"Agreed," every guy in the room said, making Evie and the rest of the girls laugh.
Evie was over the moon that her friends and brothers were happy for her, Doug, and their baby.
"Stop pouting," Ben said as he wrapped his arms around Mal's waist. "We are going to see her in a couple of days."
They had been on their honeymoon for 4 days, and Mal was having a little bit of separation anxiety from the baby.
"I know," she said as she turned around to face her husband. "I just miss her."
Ben pulled her close, before he pressed his lips to hers. He knew she missed Mia, and he did too, but he wanted to enjoy their honeymoon together.
"What do you say about taking a walk on the beach with me?" He asked, making her look at him. "We have three days of our honeymoon left and I want to enjoy the time before we have to start the full time job of being king and queen and mom and dad."
Mal laughed before she nodded her head and smiled up at him. She knew she missed Mia, but she knew he was right. They weren't going to be able to get as much time alone together when they got home. She and Ben needed time together, and she was willing to spend all the time she could get with him, and having their honeymoon at their family beach house, off the coast of Triton's Bay, made things a lot easier.
"Okay. Let's go," she said, before he laced his fingers with hers and they walked out of their room, and enjoyed the time they had left with each other.
"Mama!" Mia said as she saw her mom and dad walking up the steps to Evie's castle.
Evie opened the door, just as Ben and Mal were going to knock.
"You know you both don't have to know, and that you both have keys right?" she asked as Mia held her arms out for her parents.
"Hello, my little princess," Ben said as he took her out of Evie's arms. "Were you good for Auntie Evie and Uncle Doug?"
Mia clapped her hands and squealed like she understood what her dad was asking.
"I am so glad to hear," he said before he kissed her head and moved her so that Mal could reach her.
"How are you feeling, E?" Mal asked as she looked away from Mia and to her sister.
"I'm fine. Just a little nauseous here and there," Evie said. "But I am fine. How was your honeymoon? Am I going to be getting another niece or nephew soon?"
Mal and Ben shook their heads and laughed. They both knew that they wanted at least one more baby, but they wanted to wait until Mia was a little bit older before trying.
"No," Mal said as she took Mia out of Ben's arms. "We want to wait until she is a little bit older, and even if that weren't the case, it would be too soon to tell."
"Fair enough," Evie said with a laugh. "Are you guys nervous for tomorrow?"
"I mean, a little, but everything will be fine," Ben said. "It's not like they are going to make us break up. We're already married."
"Very true," Evie said. "I just can't wait for everyone's reactions."
"And it's going to be televised, so everyone on the Isle is going to be seeing it too," Ben said.
"I don't know if people on the Isle will care as much as our Isle friends and family will," Evie said. "They might cheer because Mal is queen, but everyone already knows that she was going to be she already."
"I think they'll be more excited than we expect them to be," Mal said, making Evie furrow her brows at her. "I'll explain later. We have to head back to the castle to get ready for tomorrow, and I am assuming by the time," she said as she looked at her watch. "Hadie is asleep?"
"I am not always asleep," Hadie said as he walked out of the castle with his and Mia's bags over his shoulder.
"My mom sent me a picture of you asleep, two days ago when she and your mom took you to my old dorm to drop your stuff off," Ben said as he pulled out his phone and showed Hadie the picture of himself asleep on his dorm room bed.
"Okay. But did she tell you what happened after that picture?" He asked.
"We may have gotten a video of Uncle Zeus zapping your butt awake, after mom gave him a call," Mal said, making everyone laugh.
"Well, luckily I'm a god, or else that would have hurt for three months, rather than three day," he said. "But anyway, I asked Belle if I can stay at the castle again so I can go with you guys tomorrow for your marriage announcement, even though she said it's my home."
"It is always going to be your home, apart from the Isle," Ben said. "You will never have to ask if you can stay there."
Hadie gave his brother-in-law a smile before nodding his head. He loved the brotherly relationship he was forming with Ben, and he was glad that he made his sister happy. He couldn't imagine Mal with anyone else.
"Okay, we better go," Mal said as she nudged her head toward her and Ben's car. "We have to get things ready for tomorrow, and that's after Belle, Adam, and Mrs. Potts smothers us in hugs and we have dinner too."
"Okay," Evie said with a small nod and smile. "We'll be there tomorrow morning."
Ben, Mal, Hadie, and Mia all headed to the car, and when they were all settled and buckled up, Ben drove them home to start their new lives, excited for the changes to come.
Mal stood in front of her mirror in her and Ben's closet. She examined her outfit, hoping that she would look appropriate for today. She was starting to get nervous. She was wearing a mid thigh high purple dress with an overlay skirt around her waist. She didn't know what people were going to say or think about today, but she knew this was something she and Ben wanted to do.
"Are you ready?" Ben asked, making Mal jump and break out of her thoughts.
She turned around to see Ben holding Mia, who was asleep, in his arms and she was dressed in a baby blue dress, and whatever bit of hair she had was pulled up into a small ponytail at the top of her head. Ben was dressed in his usual blue shirt, and the difference about his look was the additional ring on his left hand.
"Yeah," Mal said as she walked up to them with a smile on her face. "Just a little nervous."
"Don't be," he said as she leaned down and kissed her. "Everything is going to be perfect. Just like you."
"I just hope people don't get upset with us," she said as she leaned her head on his other shoulder.
"If they do, that's their problem," he said, making her look up at him. "This was our decision, and if they don't like it, then they can come and talk to us privately about it. If anyone makes a big deal of it, they will be escorted to leave."
"Okay," she said as she took a deep breath. "Let's go."
They made their way down just in time to see Belle, Hadie, and Adam walk out of the dining room. They were dressed nicely and ready for Auradon to celebrate their new queen. On their way to Belle's harbor, Mal looked out the window the entire time. Hadie bounced Mia in his lap, Belle and Adam were taking an abundance of pictures of Mia and Hadie, and Ben was focused on making sure Mal didn't start to freak out. When they pulled up to the habit, they saw that FG had conjured up a beautiful balcony pillar with two staircases on each side of it.
"Wow," Mal said as she got out of the car, making FG turn to see her and the royal family following her. "This looks amazing."
"I'm glad you like it, Queen Mallory." FG said with a chuckle and wink.
"Never going to get used to that," Mal said as she laughed and pointed at the fairy.
"It's still weird for me too," Belle said as she walked up to Mal and wrapped an arm around her waist. "And don't worry about what everyone is going to think, because all that matters is what your friend and family think, and we think that you and Ben made the best choice."
Mal gave her mother-in-law a smile, before she hugged the small brunette woman.
"I love you, Belle," Mal said.
"And I love you," Belle said as the two women pulled apart. "Now, let's head up, because everyone is starting to show up," she said as she pointed, making Mal turn to see people starting to surround the balcony.
Mal took a deep breath, before she felt someone lace their fingers through hers. She turned to see her handsome husband looking down at her with a proud smile, making her smile back up at him. They were both nervous, but they knew that they were doing the right thing.
"We got this," he said as he gave her hand a light squeeze.
"We got this," she repeated as she gave him a nod.
The king and queen made their way up to the top of the balcony, and people clapped as they walked by. The joy on people's faces as they walked by and smiled at them, made Ben and Mal very happy. People were excited for them, and that made all of their stress and worries vanish. When they made it to the top, they saw their friends arriving, and watched as they made their way closer to the balcony.
"Ready?" Ben said as he took Mal's hand again after 30 minutes had passed.
Mal gave him a nod, before she gave Mia back to Hadie. Ben took his wife's hand, before he led her to the edge of the balcony. The crowd cheered as they came into view, making Ben and Mal wave.
"Hello, Auradon," Ben shouted as he waved down to everyone. "Thank you all for coming out today. Mal and I are very happy to have you all here, and we would like to make a couple of announcements."
The crowd cheered, but the faces of their friends and family shifted to confused ones, because they thought that Ben and Mal were just going to announce their marriage.
"First, we know you are all eager to know when Mal and I are going to be married, but you do not have to worry about a wedding," Ben said, making the crowd grow confused. "Mal and I decided, after everything that happened, that we didn't want to wait," he said as he took Mal by the waist and smiled down at her. "I am so very happy and pleased to say that Mal and I got married a week ago, and today is her coronation."
The crowd cheered louder than they did before, making Mal smile brightly. She shed a tear, happy that everyone was not mad about her and Ben's decision.
"Not only that," be said, cutting the cheering off. "We have been debating whether to officially crown ourselves to it, but after a long discussion with the Beautys and Queen Leah's constant demand of it," he said, making the queen smile and chuckle. "Mal and I are going to be crowned King and Queen of the Moors."
Everyone roared in cheering for the new addition to Auradon, making Ben and Mal smile at the crowd. If they were happy about the Moors then they would be happy with the next announcement right.
"Thank you all," Ben said as he held his hand up to the crowd, making them quiet down. "We have two more announcements, and the next is Mal's to give," he said as he held his arm out to his queen.
"Hello," she said as she gave the crowd a wave and smiled. "I know people were not expecting me when they first thought of their new queen," she said with a small chuckle. "But I am so pleased and elated to become your queen," she said, making the crowd cheer. "As you all know, I am from the Isle. Home of the villains. Or that is what it is intended to be," she said before she frowned and sucked her lips in. "I thought I knew villianie. I thought I knew what true evil was, but I didn't until last January. I was raised by Maleficent, but mostly my dad Hades," she said as she looked up and saw the Isle across the water. "There are so many people in this world who can be evil, and I want to know what makes my people of the Isle different from us. What makes us different? Everyone is capable of good and bad. We can never escape evil," she said. "Evil can come from anywhere. It can come from the nicest person you know, and being nice could come from someone who is categorized as evil. It doesn't matter what side of the barrier you are on, because evil can be all around us."
Across the water, Hades, Seph, the sea three and the rest of the kids were sitting up as they watched Mal talk on the television.
"We are all capable of good and bad," Mal said. "That is why Ben and I are going to be King and Queen of the Isle as well."
Everyone watching from the Isle sat in their seats in shock at what Mal said, and heard the Auradonians cheer for her.
"We are very happy that you are excited," Ben said as he walked back up to Mal's side. "And that brings us to our last announcement," he said. "It's time to stop dividing us. It's time for change. And it's time for forgiveness," he said as he and Mal looked down at Evie, Jay, and Carlos. "Bring it down, Mal," Ben said, before he nudged his head for their friends to join them up on the balcony.
Once Evie, Jay, and Carlos were next to Mal and Ben, FG handed Mal her wand. Ben grabbed Mia from Hadie before pulling him over to stand next to his sister. Mal held the wand up toward the Isle before taking a deep breath. She was happy to be doing this, and it had been a long time coming. She was going to make a difference in the world.
"To make the world a better place. We have to do it face to face," she chanted before she let a beam of light shoot toward the Isle barrier.
The light covered the entire barrier, until it vanished with the grey clouds that used to linger over the Isle. Mal and Evie shed a tear as a bridge formed from the harbor to the Isle. They did it. They brought peace and justice to the Isle.
Hades, Persephone, and the rest of the Isle residents came out of their home, and couldn't believe their eyes. They were free. They could see the sun, and they all cheered as the bridge formed in front of them. Mal, Evie, Hadie, Jay, Carlos, Celia, Dizzy, the twins, and the rest of their friends ran toward the bridge, while their friends and Mal's family ran toward them too.
"Mal!" Uma yelled as they ran into each other's arms. "You did it!"
"No," Mal said as she pulled away and looked at her cousin. "We did it."
Uma shook her head before she felt Harry wrap his arms around her waist and spun her around. Hades was standing behind the couple, waiting to hug his daughter. She sighed and tilted her head, before she ran into her dad's arms.
"I am so proud of you," he said and he held her close. "I knew you would always do great things."
"Thank you, daddy," she said as he put her down on her feet and smiled down at her. "Now, come on. I know your mom ran to steal Mia from your husband."
Mal held onto her dad's hand as everyone made their way back toward the harbor. When everyone was celebrating the barrier being down, Mal felt someone snake their arm around her. She looked up to see Ben standing behind her with a smile on his face.
"What do you say about being crowned queen right now?" He asked as he kissed the side of her head.
"We'll, it's now or later," she said with a smile. "It's not like you are ever going to be able to get rid of me."
"You act like I would ever want that," he said before he straightened his cuffs and held his head up. "Now, FG," Ben announced as he held his hand out to the fairy. "If you will please. I would love to have Mal be my queen officially."
FG walked up to the couple, with her wand in hand, and before she walked up in front of Mal. Ben took a step to the side, letting Mal kneel in front of the fairy.
"Mallory," FG said as she raised her wand up in the air. "Do you promise to govern the people of Auradon with justice and mercy, as long as you shall reign?"
"I do solemnly swear," Mal said as she bowed her head.
"Then it is my joy to bless our new queen," FG said as she tapped Mal's shoulders with her wand.
"King Ben," FG said, letting Ben know it was now his time to kneel next to Mal. "Do you both promise to govern the people and creatures of the Moors and the Isle with justice and mercy, as long as you both shall reign?"
Mal laced her fingers with Ben's, and gave it a squeeze.
"We do solemnly swear," they said, before FG tapped their shoulders.
Belle walked over before taking the crown off her head, and placing it on top of Mal's head. When she was done, FG held her hands out.
"It is my joy to announce our new King and Queen. King Benjamin Florian Anderson of Auradon, the Moors, and The Isle and his wife Queen Mallory Bertha Anderson of Auradon, the Moors, and The Isle."
Ben and Mal rose to their feet, before the crowd started to cheer. Ben grabbed Mal by the waist, turned her, and gave her a deep kiss, making her crown fall off her head.
"Oops," he said as he smiled against her lips. "Sorry."
Mal laughed before giving him a small kiss. "It's okay."
She turned to pick it up, but saw it wasn't on the floor. She looked around until she saw her brother tapping his foot. She looked up and saw Hadie wearing her crown on the top of his head, but she also noticed that the jewels were purple instead of blue.
"What?" Hadie said with a shrug.
She shook her head and laughed before she held her hand out for the crown. He walked up to her, before he took it off his head and placed it back on her.
"It looks better on you anyway," he said before he kissed her cheek and walked away to find Dizzy and Celia.
Ben and Mal enjoyed the rest of the evening, celebrating their marriage, their crownings, and the Isle barrier being brought down. They had so much to be thankful for, and couldn't wait to see where their futures were going to take them.
A couple of hours later, all of Ben and Mal's friends and family made their way back to Auradon castle. Ben was holding Mia in his arms while she slept, and Mal walked up to Belle before she could walk into the kitchen.
"I could have sworn these jewels were blue," Mal said, making her mother-in-law turn toward her with a smile on her face.
"I had them done while you and Ben were gone," she said.
"It's beautiful, but blue would have been great too," she said. "It's a good idea to keep traditional colors in my wardrobe, plus my hair has blue in it too now," she said as she pointed to her head.
"Yeah, but purple is now part of our royal colors, and it suits you," she said as she cupped the side of Mal's face. "I have always wanted Ben to find someone who complimented him, but you are everything I have ever hoped for for him. You are everything he needs and everything he could ever want, and I am so happy to call you my daughter. I love you very much."
Mal shed a tear before she hugged Belle. "I love you too. Thank you for letting me be with your son, and loving me like I was your own."
Three Years Later
Ben and Mal are thriving as king and queen, Mia is almost 4 years old, Evie and Doug are married and their son Duncan is two and a half, Lonnie and Jay have been married for a couple of months, Carlos and Jane own a veterinarian clinic together, Ariana and Anthony have been dating for almost three years, Harry and Uma are traveling the seas with their one year old son James, Chad and Jordan are getting ready for their wedding, Hadie and Dizzy started dating and have been for a year, Celia and her sisters help her dad on the Isle, and Audrey and Gil just got engaged. Things were coming along great for everyone, and there was so much more to come.
"Hey," Mal said as she leaned against Ben's office doorframe.
Ben looked up to see his beautiful wife smiling at him, making his heart pound fast in his chest. No matter how long they have been together, she always had a way of taking his breath away.
"Hello, beautiful," he said as he stood up and walked over to her, but she met him halfway. "To what do I owe your beautiful presence today?" He asked before he gave her a kiss on her lips.
"You see me everyday," she said as he pulled away from the kiss.
"Can you let me compliment you just once, without a remark?" He asked with a laugh.
"I can try, but I can't make a promise," she said as he led them back to his chair.
He sat down and pulled her into his lap. He loved it when she came to visit him while he worked.
"So, what brings you here on this boring Wednesday afternoon?" He asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Oh, I thought that I would just come to visit," she said as she turned so she was sitting across his lap. "Mia is down for a nap, your parents went into town, Evie is busy potty training, and I am out of paint."
"Glad to hear I'm the last resort," he said, making her laugh.
"Ha ha. You are so funny," she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I also wanted to show you something," she said as she reached around to reach her back pocket.
Ben's eyes widened when he saw a pregnancy test in Mal's hands. They had been talking about having another, but they never decided on when they were going to start trying.
"You're pregnant?" He asked as Mal flipped the test over to show Ben the two bold pink lines.
"Yeah," Mal said as she nodded her head. "We're having another baby."
Ben wrapped his arms around her so tightly, before he crushed his lips to hers. He was over the moon to be adding another member to their family, and he couldn't wait to meet them.
"Are you happy?" Mal asked.
"Happy? Mal, I am over the moon," he said as he picked her up and spun her around. "We're having a baby. We're having another baby."
"What?!" They heard coming from the doorway.
They both turned to see their moms standing with the door open and their faces were in shock. The couple laughed before Ben placed Mal back on her feet.
"I guess we can't hide it, because we can't make you unhear what you heard," Ben said. "So, yes. Mal and I are having another baby."
Mal held up the positive test, and both of their mothers screamed before rushing over, and consuming Mal in a tight embrace.
"How far along are you?" Belle asked.
"I'm not sure," Mal said. "I wanted to tell Ben first, and then I was going to make an appointment for him and I so we can get all of that information."
"We're so excited!" They exclaimed as they started to jump up and down.
"And don't worry," Seph said. "We won't say anything until you both are ready."
"Thank you," Mal said as Ben wrapped his arm around her waist. "We want to tell everyone together."
"Mums the word," Belle said as she zipped her lips. "I just can't wait to meet them."
Ben and Mal looked at each other before smiling.
"Us too."
