Sitting around the campfire made by these human creatures, Kion, Kiara, and Rani were looking at these objects and materials that these animals had made. The male cub couldn't help but stare at that plastic dome structure that these people had made, like some kind of shelter for them.

"What kind of object is that?" Kiara asked curiously, pointing at the domed object.

"Oh, that is a tent. It's like a little place for us to sleep in and it gives us protection from the rain, sun, and it keeps out predators a little bit in case we get attacked by hyenas, jackals, and other kinds of dangerous ones." Joel explained.

"And we don't want to be trespassing here and feel like intruders to this place." said Persephone.

"No! no! you guys don't seem dangerous." said Kion.

"Good." said Tara.

"And what if your mom and dad don't like me?" asked Chris in a worried voice. "I don't want them to eat me."

"Come on, Chris." said Kion, "we've been over this. They're the queen and king of the Pride Lands. I'm sure they will understand what's going on."

"And you guys just came here for a vacation?"

"Yeah, so we can get a taste of what it's like to be in a far, distant land." Joel said. "Plus, I'm a man who does research on animals. We would never hurt or kill anyone."

"If we do, it would be to just get out of danger and try to stay alive." Persephone added.

"And we needed a little vacation from our own home." Tara said, looking at her phone. "sometimes you just have to get away from it all. Some things in our home can drive us crazy!"

"I understand." said Rani. "no one wants to stay cooped up in their home forever. Sometimes, I need to get away gorm my own parents."

"Well, this has nothing to do with that." Tara admitted. "But we just wanted to have a nice vacation as a family together."

"Can all animals talk?" asked Cody

"Oh yeah, but... I don't think bugs or insects can." Kion admitted. "And, not all animals would want to be your friends."

"We know." Cody admitted. "I know you can't make everyone be your friend."

Kion smirked and said: "I know. Tell that to the Lion's Bane."

"Who?" asked Joel

"The Lion's Bane. They are a bunch of dangerous animals that are evil and bad to the bone." Kion said

"You do not want to come across those guys." said Kiara. "Anything from the Lion's Bane is bad news. If you want my advise, stay as far away from them as possible."

"Who are they exactly?"

"Like the polar opposite of the Lion Guard. Evil, mean, and as Kion mentioned; bad to the bone."

"The group has different animals in it. but I'll tell you the names of them to help you."

"That sounds like a good idea." Persephone.

Kion took a small breath and explained: "a honey badger named Harif, a Harrier hawk named Mpishi, a leopard named Makucha, a hippo named Draak, and a gorilla named Tuma."

"and they are in a group?" asked Joel.

"Yes. If you see them, run as far away from them as possible and try to never cross paths with them again." Kiara warned lightly. "and Chris," she addressed the human child, "I'm not saying this to scare you, I am just trying to protect you." she put a paw on his shoulder.

The paw felt rather warm on Chris's shoulder, but settled down since Kiara looked sincere to him. "Yeah?" he was all ears.

"The Lion's Bane is that dangerous. if they see you, they won't hesitate to hurt you. They will... you know."

"Yeah, I know what you mean."

Joel boldly stepped up and stood next to him. "Well, that will never happen, princess." he said, pulling out his black tube in his hands. "Not as long as he has his old man by his side to always protect him." Cody smiled at his father and how caring he was. "If those dirtbags wanna try and eat my boy, they'll have to go through me."

He pulled some kind of lever on this tube and it made a cock sound. "What is that?" asked Kion.

"This is a weapon that many humans use to defend themselves, especially in places like this one. This is called a gun. You load it with a device called a bullet, and you press this trigger to fire the weapon."

Joel got into his pouch and pulled out a rather pointy substance made of gold of some kind. "You shoot a dangerous animal with that?" Rani looked a little confused at the looks of the weapon

"Yep. this a bullet. When it shoots, it will set off a really loud explosion that you would probably want to cover your ears." Joel said. "But, I also use it scare dangerous animals away from the sound of the blast by firing it into the sky." Joel explained.

Kion got a smell of it, and it was a very foul odor to his nostril. "Ugh! That smells horrible!" he grunted.

"Oh! right. sorry, that's the gunpowder you're smelling. Persephone said.

"You haven't been using that to hurt any animals, have you?" said Kiara

"No! No! No! never." Joel said. "Come on. I'm a nice guy."

"We would also do it to survive if we have to." said Tara. "Like we would use it to help us get food out here if needed."

"It's survival of the fittest." Persephone said

"eat or be eaten." Cody remarked.

"That makes sense." said Kion

"It's every man for himself when it comes to the wilderness." said Joel. "It can be a cruel and dangerous world out there, Kion. Always be prepared for anything."

"I know how that is." Kion said. "Oh! and i almost forgot to mention the new leader of the Lion's Bane." he remembered: "His name is Ramses. He's a lion like me, Kiara, and Rani. He's insane and a nasty piece of work. He's the worst of them all."

"Got it." said Chris. "So you fight evil animals?"

"Yep." Kion smiled. "Lion's Bane included. But recently I have been through many tense things. I always have the Roar of the Elders with me to help me fight off jackals or hyenas and any animal that is not friendly."

"Can we see this roar?" asked Tara

"I could show you, but I don't want to do it on you, or scare you guys, especially you Cody. It's very powerful that: it can send animals flying long distances."

"Well we've settled here for a couple of hours." said Persephone. "We haven't really encountered anything dangerous around here."

"We did overhear you guys talking about looking out for snakes and scorpions." Kiara said. "And you are right, always be careful while in the tall grass."

"Noted." Joel said.

"So come on. I'll take you guys to my parents"

The four humans still looked a little unsure about this, but they do trust Kion, Rani, and Kiara enough, trying to know them. By the sounds of their voices, they can tell that these lions are friendly and have no intention to eat them whatsoever.

Of course, they were following their own instincts in being careful at their surroundings being in Africa. Despite being unsure, they decided to go along with this anyway. The most reassuring part of this was; these animals can talk.

"How far is it?" asked Tara

"It's not that far." said Kion. "About a few miles from here."

"Good." Joel said

"It's that rock mountain over there, right?" Cody pointed with his right finger.

"Yep. Pride Rock." Kion nodded his head.

Before they all went there however, the human family made sure everything was sealed and secured so some scavengers wouldn't get into everything.

Joel was about to take his gun with him, but Rani said: "I don't think that... gun will be necessary."

While the largest human looked a little reluctant, he decided to leave his firearm be for his son's sake since he is hitting it off well with the young Kion. On their way to Pride Rock, some other animals were murmuring to themselves about what kind of animals these people were.

Zebras, Buffalo, and other kinds of African animals were weary and cautious as thru stared at the humans. They wondered how the kind and queen would react if they saw these beings.

Chris looked like he was absolutely unwanted like an outcast or an outsider, worried that they hate him. Kion walked close to him and said: "Are you ok?"

"They're staring at us." Chris said. "They probably hate em."

"No, they don't hate you." said the cub. "They just need to warm up to you, that's all. Just like my parents will warm up to you."

When they all made it to Pride Rock, the four humans looked amazed by how beautiful it looked up close and personal. "So beautiful." Persephone said in awe.

"It's bigger in person." Tara added before pulling out her device to take a photograph of it. "This is totally going on my camera."

"Camera?" asked Kiara

"Yeah, it's a device that you take pictures of and... it's kind of a long explanation."

All of them went up the ramp and the lionesses who saw them looked a little cautious. Obviously, they have never seen humans either... until now.

"Are those the mysterious animals?" Tiifu said to her best friend.

"Looks like it alright." Zuri replied.

They all arrived at what appears to he a hole, slightly bigger than the lions, and thay the larger humans probably couldn't fit it. It appeared the only one who can fit in this hole was Chris himself.

"I don't think we can fit in there." said Persephone.

"I can." said Chris.

"Wait, I don't think that's the best idea." Joel protested.

"Don't worry. He'll be fine." Kiara said

"You trust us, right?" Rani said. "He won't get hurt."

"Come on, dad." Chris said. "I will be ok."

Still looking a little reluctant, Joel decided to agree to this, and let his son go with the other lions. "I knew I should have brought my gun with me."

"Oh don't say that, honey." said Persephone. "Chris made a new friend."

"True."

There was Simba, Nala, Kovu, Vitani, Zira, and all the other lions together, staring at Chris. When Kion stopped, the human boy stopped right behind him, slightly sweating.

"We're back, dad." Kiara said.

the king and queen looked at the child, not really knowing what to think of him.

"Oh! you might want to bow." said Rani. "They are the king and queen."

"Oh! that's right." he knelt on one knee to show Simba and Nala respect. Outside, his family looked so worried about him and hoped everything would go well.
