walking all the way from their home to meet their old friend, Timon and Pumbaa could hardly wait to see Simba again. Although they have known each other for a long time, it seemed like forever since the last time they have saw the king of the Pride Lands.

Timon caught something that upset his nose. "Gah! Pumbaa, was that you?" asked the meerkat while covering his nose.

"What?"

"Like you don't know." Pumbaa narrowed his eyes at him suspiciously. "Mr Gassy."

"Oh. yeah it was me." the warthog admitted his integrity.

"Really, Pumbaa. I know you can't help it, but you gotta warn me the next time you fart like that."

"I know, I know. But I tend to forget things easily. no one knows that better than you, Timon."

"Yeah. guilty as charged. But remember what happened last time at Pride Rock for instance, pal?"

"I said I was sorry." Pumbaa argued. "Besides, Simba and Nala said that sleeping outside of Pride Rock wasn't too bad."

"Once again, guilty as charged. Big whoop, we sleep outside all the time."

"Well I hope our boredom will be cured when we see Simba again, Timon. I was close to dying of boredom."

"Pumbaa, I was thinking just the same thing." Timon remarked. "It'll be just like old times with that big lug. Plus, warn me before you fart next time!"

"Got it."

"Guys?" said a female voice. the two best friends looked at who said that and it was Jasiri the spotted hyena. Hey both let out a loud scream and Timon hopped on Pumbaa's back to try and use his gas as a weapon against her.

"Stand back, hyena! you can have my meat, over my cold lifeless body!"

"You'll have to get through me and my gas before you deal with us!"

"whoa whoa whoa!" said Jasiri. "It's just me, you guys. no need to he a pair of drama queens."

"Oh! that's right." said Pumbaa. "You're Kion's hyena friend, aren't ya?"

"Yeah! Jasiri."

Timon got off his best friend and said: "sorry, ma'am. it's just that we haven't seen you around her a lot before."

"Plus we had bad experiences with hyenas so many times before." Pumbaa added. "Why do I have to look so tasty and juicy for hyenas? why don't they find another warthog to chase and eat? there's plenty out there who are fatter than me!"

"Well, not all hyenas would want to eat you, Pumbaa." Jasiri looked confused. "I was just looking for Kion. I've heard from some birds that there are some mysterious, weird beings here in the land right now."

"What a coincidence, Jasiri." Timon snapped his finger. "We were about to see Simba and meet those creatures, whoever they are."

"Perfect!" said Jasiri. "then I guess we have a small, common goal."

"Nothing that involves eating us whole, right?"

The female hyena rolled her eyes. "No, I won't eat you guys, I promise. Sheesh, there is more to hyenas than meets the eye, Timon. Didn't Kion tell you guys that before?"

"Many... many times." Pumbaa said. "But we have had many bad experiences with hyenas in the past as Timon put. I mean, when Scar was in charge, he-"

"I know, I know. He had hyenas that backed him up in his regime as an usurper king." Jasiri rolled her eyes again. "But that was a long time ago. and I wasn't even born when it happened in the first place."

"Ok, that is a very good point." said Timon. "Not judging ya or anything. You are Kion's friend after all."

"I know you guys wouldn't really judge me." Jasiri smiled. "But I hope that these creatures are friendly. Ah, who am I kidding? If they weren't friendly, that Zazu would come flying toward me in a frenzy and telling me that something is wrong."

"True."

"Well, I guess Kion will be really happy to see you, Jasiri."

"Of course he will. I'm his friend. And anyone who is a friend of the Lion Guard is a friend of mine."

"Good. And anyone who is a friend of Simba is a friend of ours." Timon said proudly. They both walked together and weren't very far from their friends now. "So how did you guys meet?" asked Timon

"Yeah, I'm curious."

"Well, it's a rather long story." the female hyena admitted. "but in short: we've met each other in the Outlands when he was lost and I guided him back here in the Pride Lands. We've became friends ever since. At first, he didn't really trust me because he thought all hyenas were nothing but slobbery, mangy, stupid poachers."

"Did he get it from his dad?"

"Unfortunately, yes." said Jasiri with a sigh. "But luckily, Kion told Simba everything and gave him a new outlook on hyenas."

"That's... actually an interesting story." Pumbaa admitted.

"Yeah, I agree." said the meerkat.

Finally, they all saw the group of lions and wild dogs together, along with the Guard and Chikelu looking a little weary like there was some kind of war going on. "Whoa, what happened here?" Jasiri said. She noticed the humans and she thought correctly: these beings were unlike any she had seen before. She didn't know if they were like other animals, but she saw Kion, Rani, and the smallest creature on the hill having small talk.

The female hyena rushed up to him and was a little confused at the human boy.

"Kion?"

"Rani! nice to see you again." Kion smiled, hugging her neck. "What brings you here?"

"I haven't seen you in a while, Kion." Jasiri admitted. "And I heard about these creatures visiting your home."

"Oh. right. Chris, this is Jasiri. My hyena friend i told you about."

"Hello." said the human child. he felt his body being sniffed all over by Jasiri, who was curious of his scent since she never smelled anything like this before. It was starting to tickle Chris, but she immediately stopped sniffing him like crazy.

"Easy, Jasiri." said Rani. "He's a human."

"A human?" said Jasiri. "So that's what they're called."
