That battle between Sokwe and Kutojali was pretty intense, but the heroic gorilla king had saved the day, and maybe that mischievous chimpanzee leader will finally leave the gorillas alone. There were some scratches on Sokwe, but they were pretty minor since he is a big gorilla, and a very strong one.

He was having his minor wounds tended to by his sons and a few other gorillas.

"Wow." said Chris. "I never thought I would see something like that happen. That was pretty rough. But it was epic too."

"I agree." said Kion. "Stuff like that is always exciting."

"As long as our friends don't get killed that is." Heri pointed.

"True." said Rani

"Luckily, I got it on video with my phone." said Tara.

Joel just made a sigh of disapproval and said: "Darn it, sweetheart. Some things are not meant for social media."

"But this can make me a little more popular, dad."

"listen to your father, Tara." said Persephone. "He makes a real good point, young lady."

"At least the gorillas can have those springs like no problem at all." said Kovu. "I didn't even know there were hot springs here."

"Yeah, they look relaxing." said Kiara. "But, at least Kion is alright. So is Rani."

"I'm just glad it wasn't me in that fight." Kion smirked. "He would have killed me."

"Don't even say that." said Chris. "Come on, let's just be glad the fight is over."

"Agreed." Everyone else around him said.

Sokwe felt pain as he felt a bite mark being bandaged by a medical leaf. "Careful." he said.

"Sorry, your highness." a female gorilla said. "Usually Kutojali wouldn't give you all of this, but he kinda did a number on you this time."

"Oh, it's only just scratches. nothing more." Sokwe reassured her. "Nothing to worry about. What matters is that: Kutojali might have learned his lesson in responsibility. Or... maybe not."

"I hate to break it to you dad," said Majinuni, "but some animals never learn."

"Yeah, he might just make a smarter attempt to kill you."

"Well, if that happens boys," said Sokwe, having his bandages done, "then we will wait for him, and i am willing to die for all of my family if need be."

"We don't want to lose you, dad!" said both gorilla brothers, hugging their dad.

"Calm down." Sokwe chuckled. "no need for overthinking. It will just make you unhappy in your life."

Both the gorillas unhugged their father and realized he was right. After all, Sokwe was the wisest of the gorilla family "Besides, just focus your mind on here and now where it belongs."

"Well, we can't just ignore the future." said Hafifu. "Because it will come anyway."

"True. But you shouldn't overthink it. Just try and cherish the good things about the future."

"Sokwe?" Kion walked up to the big gorilla leader. "Are you ok?"

"Just fine, Kion. Minor damage on me. My wounds will recover normally overtime. Bones will heal if they are broken."

"I could have shot Kutojali to protect us." said Joel.

"Like I said before." said Sokwe. "Kill one member of that chimp family, and the rest will come after you in a killing frenzy. And chimpanzees can be real killers if angered enough."

"Well we hope everything will be alright for you guys if he comes back." said Rani. "Chimpanzees can be crafty."

"True." said Sokwe, "but they are not as strong as they are. We will figure out a way to beat them if they decide to irrationally attack me and my family again."

"It's a good thing we hyenas have a strong bite force." said Heri. "We have a bite force greater than lions even, and we can chew through bones no problem."

"It's not just about bite force. You need to rely on the weapon that is most powerful." Kion pointed. "It varies in many animals."

"I know that." said Heri.

"Have you ever thought about being a king, Kion? be a king of your own pride?"

"No. Not really."

"Whaaaat?" said the gorilla brothers

"I just can't see myself in being a king. I mean, being the leader of the Lion Guard is one thing, but the king of all lions and the whole land? I don't think I'm destined for that. Besides, my sister here is going to the queen when mom and dad retire someday, and join grandfather Mufasa."

"Well I think you are a very capable leader, even for your age."

"I would call him a child prodigy." said Joel. "how often do you see a kid as a leader of a tough force to protect everyone in their home?"

"Not a lot." said Kovu.

"Well, feel free to use the hot springs if you feel like it." Sokwe smiled. "You are all more than welcome to use them any time during your visit here."

"Don't mind if I do!" said Heri, who couldn't help but take a dip in one of the springs. "ooh yeah. Whoo! that hits the spot." the hyena sighed in relaxation. Yes, he was having the time of his life, and it was lucy there was more than one spring in this area. Otherwise, it would make everyone feel left out.

It wouldn't be surprising if anyone who traveled by used one of these springs to take a break from the freezing cold in these mountains.

"How do they feel?" asked Kiara

"Like I am in heaven right now." Heri replied. "Yeah, this is the life."

"I can really use a dip." said Kiara. "I feel lime it's getting colder out here eveey minute."

"Be our guest, princess." Sokwe warmly said.

Kiara did just that and took a dip, then Kion, then Kovu, and the humans wished they could take a dip, but they don't have bathing suits.

"Ah, maybe we can go in there in our underwear."

"Won't we be cold, dad?" Chris asked him.

"The least we can do is put our clothes back on faster than usual." then the humans got in their skinmies to take a dip in the springs themselves and it was a rather lucky break from the cold.
