The next morning, Simba, Nala, Kiara, and Kovu were in front of Pride Rock and there was a long line of birds That was telling the lions they were looking for the new position as the new Majordomo as Zazu's replacement since he is retired now. There were so many kinds of birds wanting the position; raptors, eagles, falcons, storks, some ostriches, bustards, and other kinds of birds that live out here in the Pride Lands. It looked like a few miles long and many of them were eager to serve the king and queen of the Pride Lands, along with Kiara and Kovu depending on how long they will live.

"Look at them." said Nala.

"I know." Simba agreed with her. "I wonder if we'll find the perfect candidate for Zazu." he had a rather look of guilt on his face. "Do you think we did the right thing having Zazu retire?"

"Of course we did." said Nala. "He couldn't keep it up anymore."

"I agree, father." said Kiara. "We didn't want him to be in any more pain."

"Like you said, Simba, all things have their time." Kovu reminded.

"Yeah. I remember." Simba smirked. "Let's see how this goes for us." The first one to try for this audition was Ninte the male ostrich.

These flightless birds have powerful legs, along with powerful talons on their two toes on each foot, along with a powerful neck and beak to go with it.

The only downside was that they cannot fly, but they can run fast, which was probably a stretch for being the king's new Majordomo.

Meanwhile, Kion and Chris were having fun together next to the human campsite. The human boy and the lion cub were wrestling one another and Kion was being careful not to try and accidentally scratch him with his claws.

Even if he kept them intact, he could accidentally activate them and scratch his human friend.

The lion cub pounced on the human playfully and sang "pinned ya."

Laughing, Chris said: "OK, you win." They took a breather from one another and sat together and looked over the horizon. It looked beautiful in the East African savanna and they saw a group of giraffes walking to the east.

In the distance, it wouldn't be hard to spot any giraffes, especially from this far. "So Chris," said Kion, "When you get back home, what sre you going to do?"

"I think i'm just going to rest a little while. see my old friends and hang out with them." the boy replied. "They'll be really happy to see me agsin. Heck, i wish they were here to meet you."

"There's always another time." Kion said.

Laughing, the human kid said: "Yeah. That's right. Maybe i can bring one or two of my friends here the next time we come back."

"I would like that."

Suddenly, a familiar voice called out: "Hey Kion!" the twp boys looked and it was Fuli, Bunga, Beshte, and Ono. "Ready for our patrol."

"Oh. That's right." Kion remembered. "I almost forgot about that. Absolutely."

"It's our duty after all." saod Fuli with a smirk.

"I know." he looked at Chris and said: "Sorry Chris, i have to go on patrol. We can talk later."

"Can i come with you guys?" asked Chris.

"I don't think that's a good idea." said Ono

"Yeah, it can get a little dangerous." Beshte added. "You could get hurt out there."

"Besides, I don't think your dad would want you to go alone out there." Bunga added

"Oh. Right. He would kill me if I did that." Chris remembered. "I understand."

"Don't worry, we'll see each other later in the day." said Kion with an encouraging smile. "I'll see you later, Chris."

"Bye Kion. Be careful." Chris said before the group of animal kids went off into the Pride Lands to defend the land from evil or any kind of turmoil that could happen. Chris was bummed, but the day was still quite young for him to enjoy, and Kion will be back later on in the day so he can hang out with him some more.

He still had his parents and sister with him to keep him company, which was good and he still had his phone to entertain him.

Meanwhile, Kion and his friends looked for any trouble, and there wasn't any yet. After all, they had just begun their patrol. It took about an hour and still nothing. For a while, it looked like it was yet another peaceful day, but then there was a cry for help. "Get away from us!" said a French accent that sounded male.

"Leave us alone!" said a female French voice.

"Uh-oh." said Kion. "Sounds like Trouble. Till the Pride Lands end,"

"Lion Guard will defend!" his friends repeated. They all rushed to where the voice was coming from and they found Maurice and Zoe, the Zorilla couple defending themselves against Reirei, Goigoi, and their dysfunctional jackal family. "Not you guys again!" Kion said

"Ah, Lion Guard. Long time no bite." said Reirei. "Thought you guys had stopped trying to stop us."

"We thought you would give up your evil ways." Bunga crossed his arms

"We're not evil!" said Goigoi. "Messing with animals is just so much fun."

"Well you're waisting your time." said Fuli. "Zorilla have the most powerful smell of any animal. No offense."

"No offense taken." said Maurice.

"We use it to defend ourselves." said Zoe. "You jackals just stay back or we'll spray our scent on you!"

"You'll be needing more than one bath to get it off, you mangy morons!" said Maurice, ready to unleash his powerful scent on these villainous canids.

"Give up, we all know who will win." said Kion demandingly.

"Maybe, but it's fun messing with you kids too." Reirei said. "If there is one thing I really love, it's a challenge. Right kids?" she looked at her offspring

"Right!"

An All-out brawl ensued between these two sides and the zorilla couple helped out the Lion Guard in fighting off this troublesome, dysfunctional family of wild canids.

The four royal members of the family felt hopeless. There were not so much good candidates as they had hoped their would be, and the line was getting shorter as they were slowly running out of options. "This is harder than I thought." said Kiara.

"I didn't think it would be like this." Kovu added. "We have to find the perfect replacement.

"We just need to find someone with a little more commitment." Simba said. "We'll find him or her.
