"Star! Star! Star… fish! Starfish!" Angel shouted excitedly.
"Yes!" Collins exclaimed, dropping his pencil. He leaned over and kissed Angel quickly before turning back to the other couple that was sitting across from him.
"That's not fair," Maureen pouted. "You guys get the easy ones."
"Oh, poor Mo," Collins teased as Angel pulled another card out of the box.
"You ready babe?" Angel asked as she picked up the pencil.
"Yes," he said, turning his attention to the drawing pad.
"Go," Mark said as he flipped the timer over.
"Box… hat… bunny… wearing a hat… hop… hop in the hat…" Collins guessed. Angel shook her head, pointing at her picture with her pencil. She rolled her eyes and continued to draw.
"Little Bunny Foo Foo!" Collins shouted.
"Why would that be on a pictionary card?" Maureen asked.
Angel nodded in agreement to Maureen's question. She moved her right hand in circles, trying to coax more words out of Collins.
"Uh… rabbit, star, stick… I don't know," he said, racking his brain for something else.
"Time!" Maureen shouted.
"Magician," Angel sighed.
"Damn it," Collins exclaimed.
"See the bunny? Coming out of the hat? And there," she said, pointing to a stick figure. "There is the magician, with the bunny coming out of his hat."
"Sorry," Collins apologized, kissing her cheek.
"It's our turn," Maureen said excitedly. "Marky, you get to draw."
"Okay," he sighed, pulling a card out of the box. "Oh, great."
"What?" she asked.
"This is hard," he told her. "You ready?"
"Yes," she replied.
"Go," Collins said, flipping the timer back over.
"Snowman… circles… sticks… circle with sticks… snowman with six arms…"
Mark looked up at her, his face scrunched in confusion. He sighed and shook his head as he continued to draw. He left the first picture alone and moved to the other half of the paper.
"X… a cross… a bench… a man!" she shouted.
Mark nodded and pointed back to the first picture. She gave him a confused look, not sure what that had to do with the other picture.
"Um… snowman?" she guessed. "Circle man… a juggler?"
"Time," Collins called.
"Spiderman," Mark said.
"How is that a spider?" Maureen asked, pointing to the obvious arachnid on his paper.
"See the body?" he asked. "And the eight legs, not six."
"I don't get it," she shrugged. "Maybe you should work on your drawing skills, Pookie."
Collins stifled a giggle as Maureen insulted her boyfriend. Angel buried her face into his shoulder, laughing as well.
"Okay Maureen," Mark replied, knowing it was best to just agree with whatever she said. "I'll do that."
"Good," she said. "I think next time we play, I wanna be partners with Angel. She draws better. I always lose when I'm with you," she told him.
Mark rolled his eyes as she talked. "Yes, dear," he replied. "Whatever you say."
