That Kutojali was certainly a pain to be reckoned with but Kion, Joel, and Rani were able to shoo him and his dysfunctional chimp family away. Hopefully, they have gone back to their territory of thr Rwenzori mountains from where they came from.
"That was a close one." said Chris
"Tell me about it." said Kion in agreement. Despite how Kutojali was toying with his adversaries, his brains and intelligence would probably make him a far more dangerous enemy that Kion had fought with alongside his friends.
Who knows what trick Kutojali might do next when he returns? It could be unpredictable.
"I'm just glad you guys are alright." said Joel, putting his rifle back over his shoulder.
"I don't understand how you humans and chimps are closely related." Rani admitted.
"I know." said Joel. "But we humans are way more intelligent than any chimp out here in Africa. So it's a good thing we're here right now."
"It is." said Kion. "Hopefully they just wejt back home. They cause too much trouble to hang out in the Pride Lands."
"Well come on," said Joel. "I'll get you guys another bacon strip if you want."
"Sure, that sounds good." said Rani. They all headed to the human campsite and something was a little weird. Persephone and Tara were nowhere to be seen. Perhaps... they were inside their tent doing God knows what?
"Honey, Tara?" said Joel.
"Where are you?" asked Chris. Then he noticed something like a... sticky note on the opening of the tent, and walked over to it. "Guys, look at this." he slowly got the sticky note and read out loud: "My human friends, if you are looking for your female family members, then don't worry, we are taking good care of them as they are tied up in that rope we borrowed in your tent. If you want to see them again, meet us with Simba and Nala with you near our side of the mountains. Yours truly, Kutojali."
The boy's heart dropped to his feet when he realized what was going on. Those accursed chimps had kidnapped his own mother and sister. Joel was just as shocked and worried as his own son was. "He kidnapped my wife and daughter?!" he exclaimed.
"Oh this is bad." Chris began pacing to and fro, like he was panicking about this situation. Yes, they were all in a heavy pickle here. "What are we going to do?" he said over and over again.
"Chris, Chris!" Joel stopped him by kneeling down in front of him and giving a firm grip on his arms with his larger hands. "Look at me. I know how scared you are. But we can't just sit here and panic like a bunch of scared chickens."
"Your dad's right." said Kion. "We'll find them." then the Lion Guard leader began brainstorming. "But what does he want with my parents?" he wondered.
"Yeah that's weird." Rani added.
"Wait!" Kion exclaimed with a thought. "I think i found out why."
"What is it?" asked Joel.
"Kutojali wants to be king of the Pride Lands."
"Oh just great." said Rani. "That does not sound good."
"Of course it doesn't sound good." said Kion. "Kutojali is evil and he wants the Pride Lands all to himself. He might even be worse than Scar if it happens."
"Well we're not going to let that happen." said Chris. "Dad, we're going to try and get mom and Tara back, right?"
"Of course we are, kiddo." said his father.
"We should tell my parents about this." Kion said. "This involves them too. And... i think i have an idea."
"What is it?"
"I'll tell you when we get to Pride Rock, Rani."
As soon as they made their way to the pinnacle rock formation that was the ruling castle of this very land, Simba and Nala were sitting together inside. "Mom? Dad?" said Kion, calling to them. "Are you in here?"
"What is it, Kion?" asked Simba
"We got a problem." their son replied
"A really big problem." Chris added. "We really need your help."
So Joel was the one who explained to the king and queen about the current situation. Both Simba and Nala looked shocked themselves and didn't know exactly what to say at first.
"I think he wants you to turn the Pride Lands over to him."
"Well, that will never happen." said Nala.
"But they'll kill my mom and sister!" Chris said, almost sounding frantic. "I don't want to lose them!"
"It's ok, Chris, you won't. Not as long as Kion has a plan."
"I do." their son said. "It might sound crazy, but it might work."
"Let's hear it." Nala smiled with hope.
"We'll need the help of our new Majordomo here." the male cub looked over to the secretary bird.
"I'm all ears, my friend." the new Majordomo said confidently. "Just say the word and i'll try to make it happen."
They all gathered around and listened to what the lion cub had to say about a plan. The more they listened to it, the more they smiled to it.
"Kion," said Kovu, "Will you ever cease to amaze us?"
"Nope." the cub smiled in reply.
"I think you will make a good general or commander when you grow up," said Kiara.
"Nah, I think I'll just be with the Lion Guard." said her brother. "That's my true purpose and true calling."
"Alright, everyone knows what to do." Simba said.
It was a long walk, but they all made it to the Rwenzori mountains and there was the female humans bound and tied up, but glaring at the chimps.
"Kutojali!" said Simba. "Give us back our friends right now!"
"We will, we will." said Kutojali. "But first, you have to give me and my family your kingdom."
Kion growled and knew that this is exactly what the megalomaniacal chimpanzee wanted in the first place.
