In this chapter, we have Naruto arrive at Braavos. Things will become interesting there. And Naruto is going to scare some more people. Without further ado, let us begin.
Chapter Four- Are Some Questions Necessary?
The trip to Volantis had been an interesting one to say the least. He was sure his actions would spread like wildfire and someone would know about what he did. Regardless, if they came to mess with him, the only thing they were getting was a brutal fist to the face.
Instead of flying, Naruto decided to walk to his next destination, Braavos. He had gleaned information from the scared guards in Volantis that Braavos was not an easy to city to find, that he would have much work to do in finding it. Naruto simply shrugged his shoulders. He would find whatever he needed to find. After politely receiving tribute from the scared leaders of Volantis, namely grains, seeds, and food, Naruto took the dragons and went on his merry way.
Though flying to Volantis would have been the better and easy idea, Naruto decided to make things difficult and make a very nice entrance in Braavos. He was worried about these dragons, however. While he fed them vegetables and bread, Naruto knew man or dragon could not live on bread alone. He knew they craved meat, and he didn't want the dragons going after humans. This was a side effect of being too caring; Naruto had saved many dragons and that came with the fact that he had many mouths to feed.
He would deal with that situation soon enough. There were more pressing matters at hand. The Volantenes in their fear had told him much. Braavos sprawls across a hundred islands in a vast lagoon, and in order to enter said lagoon, one had to pass through the Titan of Braavos; a stone fortress in the shape of a huge, armored warrior. Naruto shook his head. He always wondered why things were so difficult.
And so, Naruto began his walk though the marshes naked as the day he was born while the dragons silently followed behind him, grumbling and snorting. Naruto walked on the marshes and traversed the passages, as the wildlife had steered clear of him and the dragons. Even the animals could wisely deduce that a naked man with dragons following him, was not someone you ever messed with.
Naruto crossed the marshes as well as the mountainous islands. And then he truly found it; the Titan of Braavos itself. He paused and marveled at the craftsmanship; it reminded him of him and the faces that decorated the Hokage Mountain. He sighed as he walked through the entrance, passing every manner of boat and ship, while hoping these people would give him a better welcome and not try anything foolish. Naruto enjoyed peace rather than war, but was more than happy to indulge in teach this lesson to idiots.
And as he walked through the passage, the people on the boats and ships simply stared at him, slack-jawed and in sheer amazement and awe. They had no idea what truly amazed them more; that a handsome man was literally walking on water displaying a feat of magic unlike any other, or that hundreds of dragons were slowly following behind him. The dragons weren't even paying them any attention, they were keenly following the movement of their new master.
Naruto had noticed the people watching him on the ships and decided to have a little fun as he enthusiastically waved at them.
"Hi, everybody. Do you guys know what Ramen is? And if you do, do the people of your land know how to make it?"
The occupants of the ships were too dumb-stuck to respond. They could only babble and mutter incoherently. Naruto cursed his luck. He first ended up in some godforsaken land and his body used for experiments. And then, to top it all off, he had to escape a burning volcano and learn there was no ramen; the sheer insult and indignity of it all. When he found out who brought him to this world, they were catching a fist to the face.
Naruto continued to walk and he finally ended up in the heart of the city. As he crossed through one of Braavos's ports, he saw men and women look at him in awe, lust, fear, and sheer amazement. The dragons snarled and chirped as they hovered over the vast land. Naruto closed his eyes as he could sense very little of nature thriving in this city. It was mostly composed of stone and granite.
And as he walked into the heart of the city, he was greeted to the same sight and expressions. He noticed loud footsteps as he saw armored soldiers appearing near his position, brandishing blades and spears. Naruto simply laughed. Where he came from, he saw children with more power in their finger nails than these soldiers possessed in their entire bodies. Hell, he had seen stronger house plants.
The slithering dragon behind him roared violently as Naruto calmed it. He didn't need a fight. He only came for answers. He didn't need to deal with corpses. And if right on cue, a man had walked through the soldiers and stood beside the soldiers.
"So, you have come here now, warrior."
"Pardon me… but I believe we have never met."
"That is true, but we have heard of your heroics in Volantis. The Sealord wishes to meet you. If you would please follow me… and your dragon must stay in the clouds."
Naruto narrowed his eyes. He had no idea who these fuckers were and how they learned so quickly as to what happened in Volantis. He noticed a shadow watching him. He shook his head and followed the man known as the First Sword of Braavos. He wondered what this meeting would be about. He motioned the slithering dragon to stay close.

He was requested to come to a place known as the Sealord's palace. It looked interesting and grand with its domes and towers. There was a lightning bolt shaped object atop the palace as well as a menagerie with exotic animals of different shapes and sizes.
Naruto walked past these animals and was intrigued. He wondered who made these animals and what purpose would they serve other than mere entertainment and collection. He didn't like seeing things caged up. The animals looked like they were bred for entertainment, or for battle. He was starting to dislike this Sealord already.
He was taken to the Sealord's private office where he was asked to sit and given water and a small meal. Naruto did not bother to inspect if it was poisoned. He accepted the meal and ate silently as the Sealord took a seat, with the First Sword standing right beside him.
The Sealord then spoke.
"You are either a brave men… or you are foolish. You did not even try to inspect if the food was poisoned, you simply ate happily without a care in the world.
Naruto simply smiled, and this smile unnerved the Sealord and his glorified bodyguard.
"I sensed you had no ill intent towards me. And if this meal was indeed poisoned, I would have recovered from the poison effortlessly, then killed you, your bodyguard, all your soldiers, and left this city broken and penniless. Who knows… I might even turn this entire city into glass, it's really not hard."
There was an awkward silence as the First Sword looked on with a raised eyebrow while the Sealord shifted uncomfortably. Naruto chuckled as he spoke again.
"Now, that was a joke. You should laugh… come on laugh… laugh."
The Sealord laughed awkwardly while the First Sword looked quite uncomfortable. It wasn't every day that a stark naked man walkthrough Braavos with dragons. The Sealord knew he would have to choose his next words delicately.
"It is interesting to see a Valyrian Dragonlord enter this fair city. You can understand that we have not had dealings with Valyrians for quite some time."
"Oh, okay. I am not a Valyrian nor am I a Dragonlord."
Naruto had once again shocked the Sealord and his bodyguard. The Sealord narrowed his eyes, wondering if he was being told the truth or a lie.
"You are a liar. Only Valyrians now have the power to tame dragons. You expect me to believe you are not one of them?"
Naruto smiled.
"You have the right to believe whatever the fuck you want. Personally, I don't care. I only saved these dragons. And now they choose to follow me? Do you understand how difficult it is to feed dragons in this world, especially now that I have hundreds to take care of?"
The Sealord had more questions now. He had no idea what to believe. He had heard rumors from the Faceless Men about something that happened in Valyria; something about the Doom that had come for the Freehold itself. Yet, here was a man with dragons at his beck and call.
"Alright then, let us say that I believe you. How did you come to have dragons at your back and call?"
"Well, I will sum it up for you. I crawled out of the Fourteen Flames, saw all manner of dead experiments and creatures, and fought my through the ashes and the smoke. I cooled the land and then I froze the volcanoes…"
Naruto would have continued when the Sealord started laughing and even the First Sword had a smirk on his face. Naruto sighed. He simply closed his eyes and opened them again as they turned gold.
Braavos began to shake and shiver as the sea began to churn. The Sealord fell to the floor as he looked at Naruto's eyes. He saw death in them and creatures that he could not comprehend. And then, he saw the silhouette of a man with purple, concentric eyes simply stare at him.
"Now… would you like a demonstration?"
"Stop…STOP, PLEASE!"
Naruto closed his eyes and silenced his power as the Sealord made a great effort to make his way to his chair. The First Sword had a hand on his blade, but did nothing as he looked at Naruto with fear.
"Well… you have made your point. I understand that you are not a man to be trifled with. You have my apologies. And one thing is for certain, the Doom came for Valyria, and you crawled out of it."
"Thank you." Naruto responded with a smile.
"Still, I wonder what you are doing here? We are no threat to you or your dragons, Valyrian or no. We are a peaceful people. We are fair, yet we are firm."
"That's good to hear. I came to this city for answers. I have been looking for information, for a way to return to my homeland. Now, I feel that may be a lost cause. I do not believe there is a way for me to go home. I must carve out my living in the free world and live life."
"You are wise for someone so young."
Naruto shook his head. "I have had to pay a price for my wisdom. It did not come cheap. I would prefer to solve my problems with my fists. The people of Volantis thought they could enslave me… I showed them the truth. If Braavos thinks…"
Naruto let his threat hang in the air, as the Sealord had a look of anger on his face. "We are not slavers! We are free people. This city was formed by former slaves of Valyria. We people took it upon ourselves to shed our pasts and transform ourselves into something much greater. We are a hard but a kind people. It does not matter if you are the Warrior Incarnate; do not accuse us Braavosi for something we would never do.
Naruto simply smiled at his passionate speech. "I do hope these words of yours never change."
The Sealord had calmed himself. In his passion, he had almost forgotten he was dealing with something beyond himself, far beyond himself.
"What is it you are looking for in this city? If it is clothes, I can give you some. I am sure you do not wish to walk naked everywhere."
Naruto chuckled. "I do need clothes. Yet, there are other things I desire; grain, cattle, seeds."
"Oh, I see. And pray tell… what would a man such as yourself desire those things?"
"Not that its any of your business… but one day I hope to see the Freehold reborn into something pure and special. It will be the crown jewel of the free world once more."
The Sealord laughed. "Such bold claims, you have presented to me. Yet, how will you pay for what you seek?"
Naruto opened his hand and placed gold in front of the Sealord. His eyes were bulging as this gold was from Valyria itself. The Sealord had looked at Naruto with shock.
"You would give me such valuables… for something so small as food and seeds and cattle? You would do this for your dragons?"
Naruto laughed and this laugh had placed fear into the Sealord's heart as well as his bodyguard. It was a laugh that he wished to never hear again.
"Gold is indeed a valuable thing. It is so valuable that people have destroyed lives over it, killed for it, betrayed and slaughtered their loved ones all for Gold. Why, gold itself has a curse on it."
"Food brings people together. It nourishes your stomach and soul and gives you comfort. That is what the common folk desire; warm food, a soft bed, and family to share their lives with. All your power means nothing if the people are not happy. And when the people are not happy, things are not good. Dragons and humans all need to eat."
And then, the temperature dropped as the Sealord began to sweat and even the First Sword felt uncomfortable.
"Tell me, Sealord, who do you think has all the power? You… or your people?"
The Sealord could not speak, so Naruto spoke to him again. Naruto's voice was not cold or angry, it was kind and sweet. And that filled the Sealord with more dread.
"I will tell you. The common folk have all the power. All they desire is food, family, and security. And when they have that, they are happy and content to let you lords play your games. And when that is taken from them, no lord is safe. Even you with your high walls will one day find your head on a pike when the common folk grow tired of the games you lords play with them."
And as Naruto went to leave, he stood by the door and stared into the Sealord's soul as he spoke his next words. And for as long as the Sealord lived, he would make sure all of Braavos knew it.
"Remember, Sealord, do not ever make the mistake of fucking with me. I am kind and peaceful. That is not my weakness. You have not seen my rage, my desire, my drive, and my fucking will. If I ever desire it, the free world would fall to me in less than a week. No matter who you have in your army, Braavos would fall in less than a day, maybe even an hour."
"I… I am the answer to all that is evil. And should you choose to test my words… you will find something worse than the Doom of Valyria befall Braavos. Dragons can die… but killing me… that's something you could never do even if you lived for thousands of years. Sleep well, Sealord."
And as Naruto left to collect his payment for himself and the dragons, the Sealord slumped down in his chair, wondering what had come to visit Braavos. Was it an unstoppable force or an immovable object. The Sealord would take his warning account. However, even the Sealord had no control over the Faceless Men, for they predated Braavos.

Naruto had found an Inn and the people gave him a wide berth as he ordered his food. It was simple; bread and soup and some meat, but Naruto savored it all. He took his time and ate slowly as he savored the taste of bread, soft butter, crisp and fresh vegetables, and a little meat.
He was also wearing some clothes; a simple shirt and pants and boots. It wasn't orange and black, but it would do for now. Or he could just walk naked and freak the hell out of everyone he meets. All though, the women didn't seem to mind him being naked.
The Sealord had graciously given him all that he needed, as well as a ship which he did not really need. Naruto wondered what his next destination would be. Would he go to put fear into another slaver, or would he return to the Freehold once more?
He had to wonder how this Sealord found about the Doom. Not much time had passed since the doom and his arrival here. Did the Sealord have access to power he did not know about?
Naruto was shaken out of his musings as he saw someone watching him. He looked up to see a man in a white cloak with a curious expression on his face. Naruto beckoned him to take the chair opposite him and share in his meal. The man smiled and sat opposite him as he spoke.
"A man would never refuse a bite."
Naruto sighed; another asshole who speaks in riddles. Naruto just decided to get this over with.
"So, what do you want?
"A man is curious and confused. A man has saved many, many who were to receive the gift. A man has changed the fate of many. A man has denied the God of Many Faces the deaths he is owed. A man wonders what do. A man wonders if he should deliver the gift."
Naruto shook his head. He sighed as he was dealing with a cult member; or maybe a hypocritical assassin. Well, he could play this game.
"So, you are assassins for hire? And you fight for gold… or something."
"A man cannot say."
"That's no problem. A man shall point out your hypocrisy. A man does not judge you, for said man has done things like this before. Yet, a man fought so he could not have to fight foolish battles and war again. The man in front of him believes he fights for a noble cause, yet all he and his ilk simply fight for is gold and spread their own hypocrisy."
"A man warns the man in front of him to leave him alone and to not play games with him. This man does not make idle threats and baseless promises. A man advises the man in front of him to go back to the hole he crawled out of. A man will bring the Doom to him and his ilk if he chooses to take this threat lightly. Now, shall this man begin?"
The man in the white cloak had got up and simply stared at him. Naruto's eyes turned gold and the man in front of him took a step back. He then walked forward and placed a coin on the table.
"Valar Morghulis."
Naruto looked the coin and slammed it on the table in irritation.
"And what the hell should I do with this? There are too many freaks and cults in this world."
Naruto paid for his meal and walked out as the people watched him. The dragons outside began following his movement as he walked onto the water and continued walking as he disappeared out of sight.
Something special had arrived at Braavos. And little did Naruto know that his great deeds would one day be sung in Braavos. There would be a statue and plays dedicated to him. However, did this mean that Naruto and the Faceless Men would meet once more? Only time would tell.

Codex Targaryen
Taken from the notes of Daenys the Dreamer from the Book Signs and Portents of the Doom
Subject: Uzumaki Naruto
Titles- The Maelstrom, The Savior, The Naked Warrior, The Will of Fire, The Protector of the Dragon
Description:
Once again, Uzumaki Naruto continues to surprise me. His presence has brought magic back into the world and I can feel it in my bones. I feel stronger and younger.
I do wonder if Naruto prefers to stay in the nude. On the battlefield, I am sure it would make for an amusing sight.
The glass candle does not do Naruto justice. I truly wish I could be there to see all the things he does.
After leaving Volantis, Uzumaki Naruto walked to Volantis on foot, on water itself. His magic is something I yearn to understand and steady. What gifts does he possess to walk on water and intimidate into doing his bidding?
He had arrived in Braavos and intimidated the Sealord. For the first time, I have learned something about Naruto. He has had an interesting life and has pain a terrible price for his wisdom and power. Was he a naïve boy growing up? Or was it the trials and sorrows of life that molded him into the warrior he is?
The Faceless Men are something even the Valyrians chose to ignore. I must confess, we made a mistake in terms of slavery. We should have been better than our enemies. Instead we were fools. For Naruto to intimidate a Faceless Man must mean to me that he has balls the size of castles. I wonder if this will be the last time they meet.
Now, I wonder where he will go now. Perhaps to Astapor or Mereen to intimidate more fools? Perhaps he will make a visit to Valyria to repair and rebuild the land? Maybe he will meet the so-called Emperor of Valyria, Aurion. I truly do not know what is to happen.
The glass candles do not tell me everything, except that Uzumaki Naruto is an enigma that I may not truly understand. I am plagued and cursed my dreams. I see the end of men, of great evil coming from the north, wielding great power. I see the conquest of Westeros and the Dragons dancing with mythical creatures. And in every dream, I see those gold eyes stare into my soul as the dragons roar.
What are those gold eyes trying to tell me?
Is Uzumaki Naruto and I linked through fate, through destiny? Will I find my answers? Will we meet one day?
Is House Targaryen doomed, or will this man save it?
Chapter End
And another chapter done. Please read and review generously. I hope you all enjoy it.
Once again, share your ideas and suggestions. You think Naruto should go intimidate more slavers, or visit the Freehold to repair the land?
I apologize for the lack of action in this chapter. Daenys and Naruto will meet one day, and Daenys will take steps to ensure her house's survival and her own happiness.
Naruto/Daenys/Visenya will become a thing later on. Daenys' line will rule Valyria and Visenya' children will one day sit atop the Iron Throne. I was thinking of adding Rhaenys, but that's not possible in this story.
Please do share your ideas and thoughts here. I welcome all ideas. Would you like to see Codex entries of farther events in the future, such as Arya Stark one day joining the ANBU? Or Daenerys reading these Codex Pages? Or Even an entry on Rhaegar and Lyanna? The Possiblities are endless.
Stay safe everyone and well wishes to you all. See you in the next update.
