Snogging
Everyone thought that after the war, Harry and Ginny would get back together. However, now that Harry had time to think about such things, he realized that he didn't want to be with Ginny. In fact, he didn't want to be with any girl. He just wasn't attracted to them in that way.
Harry Potter, the savior of the Wizarding world, was gay.
When he told his friends, Ginny laughed, Hermione hugged him, and Ron looked at him with an odd look that Harry couldn't read. That was strange in itself, because Ron was usually so easy for him to read. He wasn't a terribly complex person, after all, although a loyal friend, and quite cute.
Err…
Anyway.
So there were no hard feelings between any of them, and Harry was quite proud of himself for figuring all of that out before it was too late and he did something stupid, like go out with Ginny, and for being honest with his friends. It meant a lot to him that he could trust them so much.
Unfortunately, after that, something seemed to change between him and Ron. Gone was much of the easy conversation, the comfortable silences, and the playful banter. Ron became a bit withdrawn, and he blushed often. This bothered Harry, as it was very un-Ron-like. He worried that Ron was uncomfortable around him because he was gay. Maybe he was afraid that Harry was attracted to him or something.
Well, he was attracted to him.
…Well, Ron was his best friend after all! They'd been through enough together. It's only natural for someone to be attracted to their best friend!
Right?
Well, Harry supposed that it didn't matter, as Ron was not gay, and he'd never tell Ron how he felt because it would just be quite uncomfortable, and there was no reason to spoil a perfectly good friendship over it.
A perfectly good friendship, in which something had already gone quite wrong.
Hmm…
Harry honestly wasn't sure what to do about this problem.
Seeing as Ron and Harry were getting nowhere, Hermione and Ginny decided to take matters into their own hands. They tried to drop subtle hints, but these boys were daft. They tried to drop bigger hints, but these only served to make both boys flush and turn away from each other.
Finally Ginny got frustrated and yelled, "Why don't you two just snog and get it over with, already?"
Harry and Ron looked at each other in more or less equal states of shock.
"Err…" Harry said, unintelligently, while Ron simply blushed a bright red that matched his hair.
Frustrated, the girls left Harry and Ron to sort it all out by themselves.
In the end, there wasn't actually much talking involved, but, as Ginny requested, there was quite a bit of snogging.
