Chapter 3
They had been in Atlanta for a week. They went somewhere special one day and hung out at the pool the next. Fin had been calling, but Olivia hadn't answered. She left New York and didn't tell anyone. She was kind of pissed about being put on leave.
She had tried to call Elliot, but he wasn't answering or returning calls. On Sunday they went for a walk in the park and had dinner. Then they sat down for a movie night. "Okay, before the movie starts, let's look at our week ahead. Monday is supposed to rain, so we're going to the aquarium." Noah jumped up and down.
Tuesday let's pack a lunch and hang out at the pool. Wednesday we are heading to Piedmont Park for some soccer and playground fun." Noah begged for swimming again and Olivia said okay for Thursday. "Friday though is zoo day!" Noah ran and hugged Trunk.
The movie started playing and Olivia's phone rang, she saw it wasn't Fin, it was Cragen. She immediately sent it to voicemail. Fin called right behind him and she knew something wasn't right. "Yeah Fin."
Fin huffed, "I've been calling you and Cragen is pissed. Where are you?" Olivia stood up seeing Noah and Lucy glued to the TV.
She walked in the kitchen, "I'm on leave like he told me. I'm in Atlanta with Noah and Lucy." She told him about Lucy and she was going to be with her for good. "It's actually been a nice change." Fin couldn't believe she actually took a vacation. "Have you talked to Elliot? He's not returning my calls."
Fin had a lot to tell her, "Liv, he put in his papers. They were going to go over his entire jacket. He told Cragen things haven't felt the same in a while." Olivia had the same feeling. "Look Liv, it's totally weird you're in Atlanta, because Atlanta SVU has a case they think is tied to us. His buddy Captain Sam Reynolds called him. He wanted you to come in and speak to him."
Olivia laughed, "That's great he put me on leave, but now he wants my help. I wish the helicopter dad would make up his mind." Fin could hear her anger, this wasn't the Olivia Benson he knew. He wouldn't let her off of the phone without an address to her location. "I'll call him. Night Fin."
She checked on Lucy and Noah and they were both asleep. She sat at the bar. "Captain, you called." She explained where she was and lied about missing the calls.
Cragen sighed, "Why Atlanta?" He was worried about her. She was like a daughter that he never had. She said it was for the kids. She also notified him about Lucy as well. She explained they all needed a break. "Well I'm sorry to disturb it. Do you remember that string of rapes where the perp always whispered "Tell me you love me, mommy."
Olivia swallowed hard, she remembered. He got away, they never found him. "Yeah I remember." Cragen notified her that he was now in Georgia causing the same problems. She promised to give him a call in the morning. She picked up Noah, put him in his bed and let Lucy sleep where she was.
The next morning they headed to the aquarium as planned. She called Captain Reynolds along the way and explained everything she knew. "Captain Reynolds, there is a detailed sketch in the evidence box that should help. You should have Cragen fax it. I hope you get that son of bitch."
She heard a gasp from the backseat, "Ohhh mommy!" She told him she had to go and apologized to Noah. Lucy just giggled.
Olivia nudged her, "What are you laughing at?" They both laughed. She enjoyed having Lucy around and Lucy enjoyed being with them. They were a little family.
The aquarium was a hit and Noah got a stuffed dolphin. Lucy asked him what his name was. Noah shouted, "Fin! Yike Uncle Fin!" Noah did love Fin, he was a male role model for him and Olivia did appreciate him. They ate dinner before heading home for the night.
Olivia kissed Noah and saw him holding Trunk under one arm and Fin under the other. "Night sweet boy."
The next day they slept in and had a late breakfast before heading to the pool. Olivia packed sandwiches, water, juice, and chips. When Noah went to the pool, he planned to stay. She put him in baby swim classes when he was a baby. He loved the water. They had the area to themselves. "Noah, put your water wings on."
Noah stomped his foot, "Mommy no, I a big boy. I free and swim." He held up those three fingers.
She smiled, "I know baby, but mommy wants you safe okay? That's deep water." Noah smiled and said okay. Olivia jumped in with him and Lucy and swam some.
They were there a while and Olivia sat in the swim lounge in the wading area while Noah and Lucy had lunch. She put on her sunglasses and laid back letting the sun hit her already tan skin. She saw an unmarked cop car pull up. She knew the car no matter what state they were in. She saw a young blonde get out. Her hair was bleach blonde and it came past her shoulders. She had a bright blue blouse that fit her body perfectly and dark navy pants.
She watched her walk by the edge of the gate and into the office. Olivia took notice, lots of notice. Even from a distance, she was intrigued. Olivia had never looked at a woman that way, ever except Alex Cabot. She loved men, period. Alex had something else over her though, she brushed it off thinking it was her dying in her arms, but finding out she wasn't dead after all.
The manager pointed right to Olivia. The blonde walked back out, almost embarrassed that she missed her the first time. She had a folder in her hand. The closer she got the younger she looked and the more beautiful. Olivia mumbled under her breath, "Gosh, how young is she?" She was glad she had on dark glasses, so she couldn't see her eyes.
Olivia was in love just looking at her from a distance, but when she was standing right in front of her, Olivia was wet and it wasn't from the pool water. She needed to get a grip and fast.
The blonde was nervous speaking to her, "Excuse me, are you Sergeant Benson?" Olivia wanted to laugh because the blonde needed sunglasses too. She was looking at Olivia's body in that swimsuit and she liked what she saw. It was showing all over her face.
Olivia didn't speak at first, she liked watching her squirm. She thought her badge hanging on her belt was sexy. Olivia left her glasses on, "I am." Olivia stood up to give her a better view and heard her mumble, "Fuck me". Olivia giggled to herself and Noah ran over interrupting and pointed at her, wondering who she was. "Baby, it's not nice to point." Lucy called him back.
The blonde gathered herself and her thoughts. "I'm Detective Amanda Rollins. I'm from SVU, Captain Reynolds sent me." When she smiled, Olivia knew this was different.
