This chapters title is in Latin, because Latin is cool :)

Special appreciation for the lovely Sugarin for their review. Honestly, yeah, your review basically made me write this new chapter here. Thank you so much for your words, they genuinely made me proud even if they were few. You're amazing hun.

Thank you guys for following/favouriting, I appreciate you. Seriously, I've been pretty inactive irl thanks to a snowboarding accident recently, so writing new chapters and reading is what I've got to do! As I mentioned in the previous chapter, our darling Shirona has a minor ability that does wonders, which I will be exploring for my own entertainment, and yours. We'll be revealing that next chapter, but it's not too flashy, worry not! My goal is to get to 15 follows or favourites. I'm thankful for who I've got! Anyways, please review and tell me if the characters seem too OOC!!!!

Orientation, for Shirona, was brain-rot. After the 13th time they paraphrased the same sentence, Shirona zoned out into her head to avoid crying. She kept an ear on the mind-numbing presentation for dismissal, and thought instead about what she would do this afternoon.

Nothing interesting. Maybe I'll drop by Maji Burger, I haven't been there in a while, she mused.

After another painstaking half-hour, the assembly of sorts ended, and all students stood, bowed, then began their way towards their home room. Shirona had an easy smile on her face as she walked, listening to the light chatter of the young people around her, though she was sure it would become much louder as the students became acquainted.

Finally, after taking maybe 3 or so wrong turns, Shirona found herself outside homeroom 1-C. She took a moment to smooth down her ivory hair, and softly tightening her plait. She opened the door, sliding it just a little too hard, and the damned thing banged, drawing quite a few heads in her direction.

She winced, before awkwardly grinning, as her hand came behind her head to nervously scratch her neck.

"Uh... Yo," she managed deliver as she entered the classroom. She got a received back few greetings, and 1 or 2 head nods before her classmates turned back to what they were doing.

She looked around the classroom, attempting to locate a suitable spot to sleep in- uh... work in. Her eyes caught something at the back of the room, and her gaze sharpened as she waltzed towards said thing, or person. She casually slid into a seat next to the person.

Said person cast her a side eye, eyebrow lifting as he took her in. She guessed he deemed her non-threatening, as he soon returned to the pack of chips he was holding. She turned most of her person towards him, while sizing up the boy.

Yep. That was definitely him.

The boy's lilac hair reached to just below his ears, and he slumped in his chair, feet pressed out far beyond the edge of his table. His eyes were lazy, and he seemed mostly unaware of his surroundings, although by now he was glancing in her direction with annoyance. There was traces of baby fat in his childish face, and there were crumbs splayed on both his cheeks and collar. Beneath him, behind one of his feet, seemed to be several bags of snacks, ranging from chips to pocky.

At that, Shirona barley stifled a giggle. The boy heard anyways, and heaved a heavy sigh, as though her mere presence was sapping the very life from his body. He finally turned his head at her, noting her lax posture, and her light stare.

Ugh. Why is she staring? And why is she so tiny. Makes me annoyed, he thought, grumbling under his breath. Seeing as though she continued to stare at him, he relented from his silence, groaning as if it would somehow make her go away, before he finally spoke to her.

"Do I know you?"

Shirona beamed at him, happy with him finally speaking. He already looked like he regretted ever speaking, yet still looked at her, waiting for her response.

"Yeah actually. You bumped into me this morning, and made me fall over. You have pretty hair."

He blinked, face blank. The first part sounded like a confrontation, yet she threw a compliment at him? He didn't get a lot of those, so it kind of threw him off.

However, he shrugged. He didn't want to think about it too much, so he left it at that.

"Thanks I guess. Your hairs sort of okay too," he said, turning us gaze to the front of the classroom at the arrival of their teacher.

Shirona practically hummed in happiness. She supposed it was a semi-compliment, if it could be considered that, and her hair was a slight insecurity for her, she was proud that the tall guy commented on it.

She half-focused in the teacher, body now facing foward as the woman spoke.

"Hello. I am Rifta Tsuki, and you may call me Tsuki-sensei. I am going to take attendance, so stand when I call your name, and state a fun fact about yourself in order to better familiarise yourself with your classmates.

Talire Akira?"

A small girl sitting on the right of classroom stood, smiling shyly at the class while stating she enjoyed rollerblading.

"Murasakibara Atsushi."

The boy, now known at Murasakibara stood, chair squeaking on the floor. A few gasps were heard throughout the class, but Shirona merely grinned at him, happy to have learnt his name.

It's a mouthful though. Gonna have to shorten it, she thought as he began to speak.

"I play basketball and like food," was his deep and heart-wrenching introduction, before he plopped back down into his seat. He caught her eyes, which were sparkling now, and huffed, realising she now knew his name, which meant she could now bother him more.

As most of the class introduced themselves, Shirona only half listened, mind wandering. Finally her name was called.

"Shirona Kansai."

She stood, grinning cheerfully as eyes turned to her.

"Hiya! I do long-jump and enjoy baking and raading." She, like the purple boy beside her, plopped back down into her seat as the last few people introduced themselves.

That took around 8 more minutes, before Tsuki-sensei stated they had a free period, and it interact a little while she went and fetched timetables.

Shirona turned, much to the disdain of Murasakibara.

"So Mura-kun, what position do you play?"

Murasakibara, now dubbed Mura-kun, furrowed his brows at the nickname, but chose to ignore it in favour of humouring the strange girl.

"I'm a centre. What do you bake?"

Ah. of course the boy would be interested in her confectioneries, seeing his large collection of snacks.

"I'm an amateur, so I'm sticking by brownies, cookies and cupcakes."

She noted the sparkle in Murasakibara's eyes as she listed what she baked, and she chuckled, making him pout at the sound.

"Y'know, Mura-kun, I could bring something in tomorrow for you to try?"

Shirona was taken aback at the way the boy lit up, before she herself brightened, smiling brightly at Murasakibara.

"Yes please Shiro-chin. Can I have brownies?"

Shirona paused, eyes widening marginally at the use of not her name for the first time today, but the nickname as well as the strange endearment term. However, it made her happy, for some reason, and she beamed at him.

"Of course Mura-kun! I'd be happy to. I'll do fudge– oh, Tsuki-sensei is back. Let's talk later Mura-kun!" She began whispering as her teacher re-entered the room, and Murasakibara gave an affirmative nod as they both turned, and he opened yet another bag of chips.

The rest of the lesson passed without a hitch, and Shirona chattered with Murasakibara when she could, before the first lesson ended and she stood, realising she now had to move class to her English class.

Honestly, she didn't like English. She was okay (ish) at it, but she already knew Japanese, and that's enough, isn't it!?

But, she guessed it wouldn't be so bad to make more friends, as Murasakibara had Japanese Literature. This time, though, she entered the classroom without making a loud scene, and once again scanned the class for someone who seemed approachable, or friendly.

Finding no one, she sat at the front of the class, fiddling on her phone. That was, until a bright young girl entered the classroom, and took up the seat right beside her. The girl, whom she later learnt was called Momoi Satski, struck up conversation, and the two immersed themselves in small talk, hitting it off, which ended in Shirona gaining yet another nickname (Shi-chan), although she wasn't sure why, and her promising to bring her new friend, deemed Mo-chan, brownies tomorrow as well.

The rest of her classes, after she bid Momoi goodbye, were uneventful, although she made a few more friends. She was bored though, and couldn't wait for the end of the day.

My god, she thought, why in the HELL am I learning what I learnt last year AGAIN?!!?

Currently, Shirona was sitting in the last class of the day, counting the minutes as her sensei drones on and on about angles and stupid stuff she had already aced. Finally though, the clocked ticked over to home-time, and she thanked the deities that it did.

She sprang from her seat, and rushed out of the classroom, moments before the rest of the kids, and sprinted from school grounds to get some freaking food.

Right. And pick up ingredients, she reminded herself, setting a reminder in her phone as she entered Maji Burger. Still stuck to her phone, she slid into a booth, checking her emails as she settled.

A choked cough caught her attention, and she froze. Slowly, she raised her head, and made eye contact with the person who was apparently already sitting there.

Grinning awkwardly, she internally screeched in embarrassment.

Aww shi-
