"Alright don't do anything dangerous or illegal. Especially you Glimmer," Angella reminded us for the tenth time since we got to Diagon Alley.

"We won't," We chorused.

"Stay in Diagon Alley," George told us.

"We will."

"Make sure you get 3 of everything on that list." Mother instructed

"We will."

"Now for the fun parents," Micah interceded jumping in front of the others to my amusement.

"Have fun, and if you have to bend a few laws here and there to make it happen, I didn't see anything." Micah said with a wink.

"The best shops are on the very edge of the street," Lance reminded us.

"After you're finished with the list here's a few extra galleons for the less . . . necessary items." Mama said dropping a few dozen galleons into my palm.

"Thanks you guys," I said, accepting the money for Bow, Glimmer and I.

"What will you guys be doing?" Bow questioned.

"Nothing in particular," Angella, George and Mother said at the same time Micah, Lance and Mama said, "Drinks- I mean . . . nothing,"

The facepalms from our respective parents had to have hurt.

"Run along now, meet back here in five hours." Angella told us and we were on our way.

"Bye guys," we said as we ran into Diagon Alley with wide grins.

It was the day after receiving our Hogwarts letters after a party and a sleepover it was time to get our school supplies so our house elves could finish packing.

"Alright we should hit the shops as we see them from here to the end of the street while we do that we'll each pick a shop that we want to visit after we're done shopping," I said.

"We could do that but Glimmer has our shopping list and she doesn't exactly have a spotless track record-"

"Hey!"

"I say we go from most important to least important that way if we forget anything as Glimmer starts to get hungrier and more tired we at least have the important stuff. We can make do without a winter cloak. Wands on the other hand are a bit more important." Bow suggested.

"We're not going to forget wands," I protested.

"I wouldn't put it past us," he argued.

"That doesn't even make sense!"

"Are you guys hungry?" Glimmer interrupted.

I shrugged, "I could eat."

After settling into the restaurant, ordering our food and debating for 20 minutes Bow had a fully formed schedule in hand.

"Alright so Olivanders first, then Tomes and Scrolls and then the other shops as we see them." He confirmed.

"Shoundsh good," I agreed with a mouthful of chicken.

"That's disgusting, you two are disgusting," Bow said with his nose shriveled up.

"We just had Razz's pie and you two are scarfing this food down like you've never eaten before."

"That was an hour ago Bow, you can't expect for us to still be full off of that," Glimmer protested.

"Alright, I'm finished," I announced, chugging my water down.

"Me too," Glimmer said.

"Alright, let's go." Bow told us. "Don't forget to pay Adora."

"Wh-What I wasn't going to forget to pay . . .nope," I laughed nervously, dropping 20 galleons on the table.

"Yeah ok Adora."

"What kind of core do you think you'll get?" Bow inquired.

"Mine will be phoenix feather for sure," I decided.

"I think I'm unicorn hair," Bow told us.

"I'm definitely dragon heartstring." Glimmer proclaimed.

Bow scoffed, "If by dragon heartstring you mean unicorn hair."

"I'm not unicorn hair," she said, appalled.

"I beg to differ," he snorted.

"I'll bet you," Glimmer said fiercely.

"Fine twenty galleons says you have a unicorn hair core." Bow agreed.

"Thirty," Glimmer said smugly.

"Deal."

"Deal."

"Well you guys can settle this now because here we . . ..are?"

I stopped in the middle of the doorway and felt Glimmer and Bow peek into the store from behind me. Glimmer let out a low whistle.

"What happened here?"

The whole place was a mess with wands scattered all over the place. Shelves had toppled over in a way reminiscent of dominoes and wand cases had slid out and onto the floor.

We heard a thud and saw a case fly across the room.

We turned and saw an old man in a corner rocking back and forth slowly with his head between his knees, his white hair covered his face entirely.

"Filthy little Mudblood, wrecks this shop, hits my head, leaves me to clean it up."

"Hello?" Bow called out.

Ollivander looked up and we saw that his nose was bleeding waterfalls. He smiled and the blood made its way into the cracks of his rotting teeth.

"Hello, welcome to Ollivanders."

We bought our wands as quickly as possible and left. We were so put out that Bow didn't even make Glimmer pay up for losing the bet.

"Can I sleep at Brightmoon, Glimmer," Bow asked in a shaky voice.

"You could but I'm sleeping at the Whispering Woods with Adora," she responded quietly.

"Yeah, that sounds good." Bow agreed.

"Did you hear what he was muttering," I asked them.

"Yeah I thought that was weird. Wasn't he on the winning side of the war?" Glimmer questioned.

"I can't imagine he did much fighting; he was ancient while it was going on," Bow answered.

"Well yeah but he agreed with those ideologies right?" She objected.

"You can't prove or disprove that," Bow said, "But it doesn't seem like it."

"Do you think that this has anything to do with-" I started.

"No." They both answered at the same time.

I nodded, I was probably just overthinking it. Some creepy old blood purist got a nosebleed, it's no big deal.

"Should we have called someone," Bow fretted.

"And told them what Bow, 'An old man has a nose bleed?" I argued.

"That's true I suppose."

We walked the rest of the day in silence collecting our school supplies and meeting with our parents so we could side-apparate home.

Bow and Glimmer came over later that night and as we played games and talked the question lingered in the back of my mind: Could it have had anything to do with the possessions?
