Finding Happiness Ch. 9

Luna slowly come back to reality, she needed to take it slow, carefully disengaging from her position on top of Happy, as her feet hit the ground her body ached in ways she didn't think was possible. Motherfucker. In the first time in her life, she felt that she was fucked into injury. Taking a second in the bathroom, she could see the dried blood in between her thighs. Oh man. Seeing that there was a shower, she turned the heat up and waited for it get warm, putting her hand in the water, it was finally warm enough. Stepping into water she let it soak in her bones. Taking the only washcloth, she grabbed the soap and began the slow process of cleaning her body, by the time she reached her inner thighs she closed her eyes and bit her inner lip to keep from crying out.

Finishing up, she grabbed the towel and started to dry off, opening the door she could see that Happy was still asleep. She had to get to work, grabbing her clothes from the night before she quickly got dressed. Looking over the room she found a pen and some paper, quickly writing a note. She quietly exited the room and walked down the clubhouse.

The smell of coffee brought Luna towards the kitchen; she could see that Gemma was in there. "Morning, would you mind taking me to the hospital? I figured I'd let Happy sleep."

Gemma smirked at her, "Of course baby, you wear him out?"

Looking over at Gemma, "It's safe to say that it was mutual, but my body is used to getting up for work, trust me, if I could I'd spend all day zoned out." Taking the cup that Gemma put in front of her she took a deep drink. The warm liquid soothed her insides. Noticing that Gemma was finished with her drink, she downed hers quickly. Following her out the door, Gemma grabbed her purse and jumped into her car.

As they left the garage, Gemma looked over, "Please tell me you let your old man know that you were leaving."

Nodding her head, "I didn't wake him up, but I left him a note telling him where I was going and what time I should be off work."

"That's good baby, that's a thing you're going to need to get use, he's going to need to know where you are. That's just how it is." Gemma wasn't trying to piss her off or anything, she really wanted Luna to embrace this life.

"I figured as much. While this life is going to take some getting use to, Happy hasn't sugar coated anything."

That made Gemma smile. "That's good baby. That's one thing that Happy will not do, sugar coat anything."
All too soon Gemma pulled up to the hospital. As she exited the car, Gemma told her to have a good day, and that she would be seeing Abel around lunch time.

Luna waved her goodbyes and made her way to the RN's locker room, quickly dressing in her scrubs, she took a couple Advil for the soreness, but she knew that she was going to need a stiff drink after work. Once she hit the ER, she grabbed some charts and started seeing patients, today was going to be one step at a time.

Happy woke up to feeling cold, sitting up he looked around and saw that Luna was gone, checking the floor her clothes were gone as well. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he looked around the room, and just like the first night there was a note on the pillow.

NOTE:
Morning,
Had to head to work, didn't want to wake you. Someone will take me to work. Not sure who's out there, but worse case I'll take a cab. I'm working until 8pm tonight, if you can pick me up that would be swell, but if you're busy with the club, I'll find my way home. Stay safe.

Luna

Smiling down at the note, he was pleased that she left him a note, but was wondering who brought her to work. Quickly dressing for his day, he headed out to the clubhouse, he saw Bobby made some muffins and shit and prospect was pouring the coffee. Looking around he counted most of his brothers from Tacoma as well as Charming, so far no one was missing. Grabbing a muffin, he headed towards the garage he looked for Gemma but couldn't see her, so she was the one that took his lady to work. Good, not that he didn't trust his brothers, but until he put his crow on her, he wouldn't put it past a couple brothers to make a move, while he would be within his right to handle his shit, and he would, he didn't want the trouble that came with it.

Grabbing some keys from the office, he set to work on a little Honda that needed a timing belt done. He focused on getting some shit done.

Several hours later he was on his 3rd car, it didn't take him too long to power through the timing belt or the oil changes. As the day progressed, he was getting pissed, Kozik kept asking about Luna. A part of him was glad that his brother thought she was cool, but he knew that his interest was more than just curiosity. As his temper was rising, he was grateful for when Clay called for Church. Quickly washing up and putting on his kutte, Happy made his way into the clubhouse.

As the rest of the members of SAMCRO and SAMTAC sat around the table, the room quieted down as Clay started talking.

"First order of business, Unser called this morning, seems like Kohn went after Tara, she shot and killed him in her home. So as far as the club is concerned, that's one ATF agent that we don't have to keep looking over our shoulders for." He explained.

Happy was surprised, the bitch took care of her own business, good, now at least they only have to worry about the blonde bitch. He would be more than happy to add another smiley face for that one. He looked over at Jax, and was pleasantly surprised, even thought Jax said he would leave her alone, he always thought that the pull from his first love would be too great, but watching him, he could see that he didn't give a shit either way. Good. The club doesn't need a manipulative bitch around.

Jax looked around the table, "At least that's one down, so what's the plan for the other? We need to get ahead of her, she's trouble man."

The club all mumbled their agreements.

Clay looked around the table, "I have no idea, we can't take her out, that would just get the club in the crosshairs further. So, until we have a solid plan, we run our day status quo, keep our heads on a swivel, and try to keep our noses clean."

The table while wanting a more solid plan, figured that for now, keeping a low profile was the best option.

As Clay called the end of church, they all piled outside to find Gemma smoking at the bar.

Seeing her husband and son, she got up and hugged them both, "Hey baby, saw the kid, he's doing good. Luna let me hold him today. She said if you want to swing by before the end of her shift, she'd help you out."

Jax eyes lit up, "He's good enough to be held?" He has been wanting to hold his son for weeks, but he was too scared to ask.

The guys were all listening, everyone was concerned for the little man, "Yea baby, he's almost 5lbs, she's having a doctor start the process of weening him off some of the machines to start seeing where he is, she said if he's doing good, they will start the car seat testing next week!"

Everyone was clapping Jax on the back, he looked over at his stepfather, "Clay, you need me? I wanna hold my son."

With a big toothy grin, "GO, hold my grandson." Looking over at Happy, "Go see your old lady."

Not having to be told twice, both men headed towards the hospital.

Luna was taking care of a burn patient in ICU. Kyle Hobart, he's telling the cops that he was drunk and fell on a fire pit, but looking at the burns, this was intentional. As she was checking him over, she saw that he was watching her.

"Is everything OK Mr. Hobart?" she asked.
Grimacing in pain, "Yea, fine, when can I get out of here?" he asked. Kyle knew he screwed up by not removing that tat, but with, he wanted to be as far from the SONs as possible, they made their message clear.

"Mr. Hobart, it will be at least a week before you can get out of here, if you have a specific hospital you want to be treated at, you can make a request for a transfer, but other than that you're here."

"Fine, start the transfer, I want to be treated at St. Mary's in Oakland." He barked at her.

"I'll let the charge nurse and doctor know." With that she left the room. What a strange man. Whoever did this to him scared him bad. As she put the patient requests and his updated vitals in his chart, her pager went off, looking at the number she couldn't help but smile.

Quickly making her way to the NICU, she found Jax staring at Abel like he was the only person in the world. Happy was sitting in the chair keeping watch over them both. Smiling at the image, "I see that Gemma spread the good news." She said as she walked into the room.

Happy couldn't help but quickly get out of his chair, he reached for her and pulled her into a deep hug. Not caring what it looked like to his VP, he needed to hold her. He felt her return the hug. "How's your day little girl?"

Giving him a little squeeze, "Great now." Stepping out of his embrace she looked over at Jax, he was smiling, but wasn't being a dick.

"Go wash your hands, and sit down in this chair, I'll get him ready." With that she walked over to the toaster as Jax like to call it and started the process of moving some of the wires. Focusing on the baby, she could feel Happy was standing close to her, sparing a glance up at him, "You OK?" she could see the concern and worry on his face.

Looking down at the baby, he realized at someone point, with Luna he may want one. Does she want kids? "I want a kid someday."

Looking up at him, she was shocked by his confession, "Me to. Someday." This was not the time or place to have this conversation, but she would need to. Turning around to the sound of Jax getting into the chair, she smiled at him. "OK, take off your shirt. Preemies love skin to skin, no one knows why, but it helps them."

Jax and Happy stared at her like she was nuts. But he trusted her, quickly stripping down to his bare chest, he waited for the next set of instructions.

Smiling at him, Luna couldn't help it, while he was this badass biker, right now her looked terrified of a 5lb baby. "Hold your arms out, Yea, just like that." Settling the baby in his arms, "Put his chest on yours, and just sit back." Watching Jax move so slowly was almost funny if the whole situation that led to it was serious. Soon enough Jax and Abel were settled back, looking at the monitor, everything was perfect, "Jax, we are going to step out to give you time alone with your son. Call out if you need anything." With that she grabbed Happy by his hand and walked out of the room.

He followed her down the hall and sat in a makeshift waiting room. "I think you just made his day." Happy said.

Sitting down next to him, "Good, I think he needed it. He was so close losing him, he's going to need to bond and heal with him."

They sat together quietly, it was nice for him, he was so worried that she would need to be constantly talking, not that he had issues with talking to her, but he wasn't an overly chatty guy. He felt her head land on his shoulder. It was nice to have this. As he enjoyed her presence, he realized that he wanted to share some of his day, including the discussion in church.

"I got some shit to talk to you about." He said.

Lifting her head, she looked over at him, "What's up?"

Extending his long legs, "Tara killed her ex, he broke in her house last night, so we don't have to worry about him anymore. But we still Agent Stahl sniffing around, club has no idea what to do to get her to back off."

Absorbing that information, "Damn, glad that Tara was able to take care of herself, as for the other ATF agent, does she have anything on you?"

Locking his eyes with her, this was the first time he would really discuss club business outside of the SOA, he trusted her, "No, but she's digging. Can't take her out, wouldn't solve anything."

OH boy. It was a little nerve wracking how he causally talked about killing someone, but by looking at him and how he presented himself, it didn't take a genius to figure out he would be an enforcer, you add that up with the group of smiley faces on his side, she was certain he was damn good at it. "No, it wouldn't. You need a big legit business, one that's already setup, and completely above board. You'll have clean income, then 90% of her case is gone. The rest is speculation."

He stared at her, they way she came up with it was like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Pulling her close he kissed her deeply. As he deepened the kiss, his body was boiling with desire, but knew that they didn't have the time, so begrudgingly he pulled back. "You're a genius. Now we just got to figure what would work." He was mostly talking to himself.

Reeling from his kiss, she couldn't help but touch her lips, while her lower half was still on fire, her body ached for him. She quickly came out of her fog, "Sex."

Darting his eyes back, "Excuse me?"

"California, it is the Porn capital of the country, on top of that, it has a legal escort business. You can make a lot of money in it. I mean there is a local porn company, fuck…what's the name?" Trying to remember the name of it one of the girls came in for her rapid STD test. "Cara Cara, there is a few girls that come in every couple of months for the standard STD panels that the state requires. They are a small company, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind having you guys around, make the girls feel safe."

HOLY SHIT. That's right Big Otto's old lady, she was always asking for help before. Standing quickly, he grabbed Luna and kissed her again. "You're amazing." He knew that he needed to drop this info on the President, but if Luann and the club could come up with a good deal for everyone, it would get the club back in black sooner. Walking back to Abel's room, they saw Jax talking to his son, with the biggest blue eyes it was like the little man was listening.

Jax looked up, his eyes were filled with joy and love. This was what he needed. Finally able to bond with his son. "Thank you so much for this Luna. I don't know what to say."

Carefully taking the baby, she got him all hooked up, and back in the incubator, "Don't say anything, he's your son, you should be able to hold him whenever you want. Soon enough, you will be able to." Soon enough, Abel was wrapped up and falling asleep. Checking his vitals and all his monitors, Luna felt that everything was where it was supposed to be. Stepping back, she could see that Jax was putting on his clothes. Turning her eyes towards Happy, she couldn't help but smile, "You can take off your clothes for me later."

His deep laugh resonated in the room. "You can bet that sweet ass I will."

Luna laughed, and all three of them left Abel's room, turning towards the guys, "I need to head back down to the ER," looking at Happy, "You still getting me in 5 hours, or am I finding my own way home?"

Kissing her on the top of the head, "I'll be here, if not me, I'll get Gemma. See you later little girl." With a swat of her ass, she headed back to work.

As she went down the elevator, Happy looked over at Jax, "We need to get to clubhouse, I have idea."

With that, they made their way to the clubhouse.

Happy was looking forward to bringing this idea to the club, his girl was beautiful, smart, and a great fuck. He was a blessed man.

Pulling in to Teller-Morrow, Jax called out for the guys to head to Church, it was little unorthodox, but with the shit hanging over their heads no one really cared.
Piling into the room, everyone took the perspective seats, once Clay was at the head of the table, he looked over to Jax. "What's up?"

Jax looked at Happy, "We were visiting the kid, and on our way out, Hap said he had an idea, figured we needed to hear it ASAP with all this shit around us."

Clay nodded, "Go ahead Hap."

Sitting a little straighter, "We need money, until we can get the new warehouse up and running, we're playing catch up, ATF is watching us like a hawk, we need legit money. Luann has asked for our support recently, and we've blown her off, but now I don't think we should, Cara Cara makes bank, we look like we are moving on from outlaw, making money, ATF has no reason to stick around." He looked around the table, from what he could see it was well received.

Clay lit his cigar, while he was always a fan of running guns, keeping their money tied up in legit income was a smart move. Cara Cara did make money, and he could have Bobby run the books to keep the porn queen honest. "Sounds good, any objections?" looking around the table.

"Alright, I'll have Gemma contact Luanne, get her on board, in the meantime, we keep digging to get rid of the ATF bitch." Slamming the gavel ended Church. The boys walked back out to the bar, and Clay went to go find Gemma, give her the newest update.

Kozik was leaning against the pool table, "Hap, your lady, is she really an old lady or you just fucking her?" he asked.

Keeping his cool, he knew that he had to be careful, he had to claim her, but couldn't be a pussy about it, "She's my old lady, you got a problem with that?"

Holding his hands up, "No bro, just wanted to make sure, she's a sexy thing, didn't want to step on your toes."

Nodding his understanding, he walked outside, Kozik was always one to start trouble, that's what caused his beef with Tig, but in his case, Tig didn't claim her, and she was kinda a whore, two things that didn't happen her. So, for now, he'd give his brother some breathing room, but if he crossed the line, he'd bring his ass to the ring and beat him senseless. Heading towards the dorms, he wanted to shower and get ready to go get Luna, tonight he was going to sleep in their bed, not this shitty one at the clubhouse.
