Prologue- Another Day, Another Bounty

Inside an abandoned storehouse at the edge of the city, an alien waited with his comrades. Said alien had purple skin, two antennae, completely black oval eyes, and something like a proboscis for a mouth. Soon, another group entered the building, led by a green-skinned humanoid, though several of his associates were fully human. "(You have brought the money?)" the alien spoke in his native language.

"Let us see the product first," the green man requested. In response, the alien drew a vial from his coat pocket and handed it over. The green man took it, placing a tiny drop on his finger, before taking a taste, his body shuddering as a result. "Yeah, this is the stuff. Alright, give him the money." One of the humans stepped forward, setting a large briefcase on the table and opening it, revealing stacks of paper bills.

Another alien stepped forward, using a device to scan the money for counterfeits. "(The money is clean,)" he reported.

"(Excellent.)" The alien leader made a gesture, a third alien stepping forward, carrying a sturdy box containing several more vials of the illicit substance. "(Here you are. Good doing business with you.)"

"Likewise," the green man nodded. But just as the box was handed over, a tiny missile shot from seemingly nowhere, blasting it to smithereens! "What the hell?!" He turned to look in the direction the projectile came from- and suddenly a person clad in a futuristic armor suit de-cloaked! Said suit was orange and white, with a red helmet and chest piece, and a large green arm cannon on the right arm. The enlarged shoulder joints made the armor's identity immediately clear.

"SAMUS ARAN!" one of the humans cried in horror, he and half of his comrades promptly fleeing in fear! The others pulled out laser guns and fired, only for Samus to avoid the shots by going into morph ball mode! She rolled forward and set off a Cross Bomb that scattered the drug buyers, before unmorphing and shooting down the green man with a Plasma Beam shot!

"(It's me she's after! Cover me!)" the alien leader ordered, turning tail as his subordinates opened fire on the hunter! Samus Flash Shifted to close the distance, swinging her arm cannon upward to knock the alien on the right off-balance, then turning and blasting the other one through the chest! Another alien charged Samus with a laser dagger, only for the hunter to hit him with a melee counter and blast him with a charged shot, killing him instantly! She then turned and killed the first alien with a missile shot, then flip-jumped over the remaining aliens, running out the door after the leader.

Once Samus got outside, she saw the alien drug pusher getting into a hover-vehicle... Using a double-Flash Shift to close the distance, she fired her Grapple Beam at the door, pulling it back open and soon wrenching it off its hinges! "Get out of the vehicle!" she ordered, readying a missile... At seeing this, the alien raised his hands in surrender, stepping out of the hovercraft. At this, Samus fired the missile at the hood of the vehicle instead, damaging the engine and rendering the vehicle inoperable. She then marched forward and grabbed the alien by the scruff of his neck, throwing him to the ground, then kneeling into his spine! "Just be thankful I was ordered to bring you in alive," she growled as she took out a pair of laser handcuffs.

"(You fool!)" the drug pusher cried defiantly as he was cuffed, "(Arresting me will change nothing! There are three or four who are salivating to take my place!)"

"I hope they do. A hunter has to make a living, after all," Samus stated bluntly, dragging the alien back to his feet. "Let's go! Move it!" she ordered forcing him to walk forward, her arm cannon pointed at his back. "Just remember, bringing you in alive doesn't necessarily mean you need to be in good condition!"

*After delivering the bounty to the authorities...*

"Another job well done, Lady," Adam complimented from the terminal of Samus' starship, which was currently in low orbit above the planet. "This bounty should disrupt the illicit drug trade on this planet significantly."

"He said there were three or four ready to take his place," Samus spoke. "But knowing it was me personally that made the bust might give them pause. I left some of his subordinates alive for that reason..."

"Indeed. By the way, I recently received a message from Alan Gado. He requests that you return home at your earliest convenience."

"Gado?" Samus tensed up a little. Alan Gado, in the years since the Tylon Corporation's dissolution, had gone from mercenary leader to a prominent senator in Planet Zan's government, advocating for peaceful relations between zoanthropes and normal humans. For him to have sent the transmission... "Did he say what he wanted me for?"

"A new crisis has arisen that could potentially threaten all zoanthropes, is what he said," Adam elaborated. "Which implies that your daughter Uriko could also be in danger..."

"Say no more," Samus narrowed her eyes. "Set course for Planet Zan with all due speed."

And so the starship broke from orbit, accelerating into hyperdrive...
