Day 85: In Which He Makeups
Apparently, Jack had never experimented with makeup before—unless doodling indecencies on his unconscious friends' foreheads counted as such, which, according to Elsa's parameters certainly did not. That blatant flaw in his skillset then led to her being coerced into helping him learn… using her face as a canvas.
Taking long breaths not to regret her life choices even more, she sat in front of him with her eyes closed as he worked. She had not been allowed to check a mirror yet, but so far, albeit clumsily, Jack seemed to at least be trying his best to accomplish decent results. An unsteady brush traced her eyelid when she heard him cursing under his breath. Before she could ask him what was wrong, however, she was surprised by a wet finger being pressed to the corner of her eye.
"Please tell me you did not just rub spit on my face," Elsa hissed. She tried to move, but he had her locked in place with a firm hand on the back of her neck.
"That's what she said."
Her eyes snapped open so she could glower at him. Pointing at the array of products she had put at his disposal, she said, "See that bottle with the black cap? It's called makeup remover. I'd appreciate it if you could consider using that instead of your saliva."
"Nah, I think I'm good."
"You are never playing with makeup again," Elsa huffed.
"Oh, come on, how am I supposed to improve if you won't let me practice?" He pointed at her with a flourish of his brush. "Keep your eyes closed, I'm almost done."
Sighing heavily to make her dissatisfaction clear, she did as she was asked with a mumbled, "People can also grow by learning when to admit defeat, Jack."
"How encouraging," he scoffed, angling her face to one side then to the other. Satisfied with the result, he beamed. "There. What do you think?"
He offered her a hand mirror, and she had to bite the inside of her cheeks not to laugh in his face. "I think the '80s called and they want their color palette back."
He clicked his tongue, dropping his brush on the table with exaggerated annoyance.
"Joke's on you, the '80s slap."
