"Don't peek!" Joline instructed as she closed Peter's eyes from behind with her hands. They were slender and thin.

"Alright, alright! I'm just afraid to bump into something and fall!" He defended himself. His Spider-sense wouldn't let him, duh?

Joline let out a giggle that made his heart warm in this cold weather.

"I won't let you fall, Parker."

Peter just sighed and let Joline lead the way. So far she was actually good at leading the way. He didn't bump into anyone. He wonders what they look like right now? Stupid? The people of New York wont even bother.

Joline had made them walk into circles so he lost his sense of direction. His hearing heightened as his eyes was closed.

"Almost there!" Joline whispered breathily behind his ear, making him shiver.

Not long they stopped.

"When I take my hands off your eyes, don't open them, okay?" She instructed. Peter nodded.

"Alright," she breathed, then took her hands away from his eyes. She turned his body around so he could face her.

Peter shuddered in surprise as both of her cold hands met his.

"Guess where we are?" She said softly. "You can open your eyes if you guess it right."

"Rogers the Musical?" He joked.

"Peter. I wouldn't drag you like this if we were gonna watch that stupid, inaccurate musical again. Even though the music is good." She said dissapointedly, a little offended he would guess that. "Guess again,"

"Times Square?"

She hummed. "Better guess, but no."

Peter sighed.

"Don't give up! I'll give you something if you can guess it right." She chuckled.

"Alright, let me think..." Peter heightened his senses. It seemed like they were in a crowded part of New York as there were tons of people around them.

As he strained his hearing more, he noticed a familiar sound. Something sharp gliding on... Ice?

"Is this the ice skating ring... In front of Rockerfeller Center?" He asked unsurely.

"Huh," Joline breathed. "You guessed it right."

With that, Peter slowly opened his eyes, adjusting to the brightness of the day.

Joline smiled in front of him. She was the one he saw first, then around them where Christmas decorations were prettily hung. A huge Christmas tree was just at the side of the rink.

"We're going ice skating?" He asked dumbly.

"No, we're going to watch Rogers the Musical again." Joline answered sarcasticly, "Of course we're going skating!"

"Oh..." Peter gulped, looking back at Joline again, "I've never... Ice skated before." He admitted shyly.

"I have never too," Joline assured softly, giving his hands a light squeeze.

"Don't worry. I won't let you fall." Joline smiled, making Peter smile in appreciation.

"Oh, before I forgot..." Joline softly let go of his hands and opened her bag to take something out.

"Please close your eyes again. This would be the last time, I promise!" She said. Peter did as instructed and waited.

He heard rustling from Joline's bag and shuddered as he felt her fingers touch his neck. Joline softly put something warm around his neck, and he didn't know why but it made his heart beat faster.

"Done, you can open your eyes now."

Peter opened his eyes and noticed that he was now wearing a scarf. It was red, like the color of his Spider-Man suit.

"A scarf?" He touched the soft fabric of the knitted scarf.

"I made it myself," Joline proudly announced, making him look up to her to see she was also wearing the same color scarf.

"Thought it would be cold today so I took them from my apartment."

"Thank you, Joline." He said sincirely, and his heart warmed even more as he saw her pretty smile as she looked into his eyes.

"You're welcome."

They stayed silent for a while, enjoying the comfort of silence until Joline giggled and took his hand.

"C'mon, let's skate!" She dragged him with a giggle.

Peter's heart warmed as he saw her back as she dragged him to the rink with a smile.

"You lied, didn't you?" Peter accused, almost slipping on ice.

"Lied about what?" Joline asked back, trying to glide back to Peter.

"You've ice skated before!" Peter said annoyedly, holding onto the ring's side railing.

"No, I have never. I'm telling you the truth." Joline frowned as she stood in front of Peter.

"Then how are you so good at this?!"

Joline simply laughed at Peter's distress.

"I've learned from watching, dummy!" She bit her lip, "From the internet and people here. It's quite easy."

"If it's easy then why do I keep slipping?" Peter scowled. The only thing saving him from falling face flat on ice is his Spider-sense.

"Find balance in your core. Just glide left and right." Joline instructed, "Try it!"

It was easy for her to say, as Peter watched her skate backwards.

He huffed and tried skating forwards just to stumble. Just as he was about to fall, Joline caught him and balanced him.

"See? I promised I won't let you fall." She joked and made him stood straight. "You're so clumsy!" She chuckled.

"Try again, this time bend your knees if you're about to fall and don't move your feet or you'll slip." She said, but now taking his hands in hers as she skated backwards. "It's better to fall forwards than backwards."

"Easy for you to say..." He mumbled. Joline must have heard that because she gave a giggle.

"I'll guide you."

She skated backwards again this time and pulled him with her.

Peter subconsciously looked down to his feet everytime he feels like he was about to fall.

"Don't look at your feet. You'll fall that way." She let go one of her hands. Peter almost panicked but stopped breathing when that hand went to his cheek, making him look up to her eyes.

He gulped.

"Just look at me, and you'll be okay." She smiled. Peter dumbly nodded and Joline's hand that was on his cheek went back to his hand, guiding him around the ring.

Peter did as instructed and looked into her eyes. It was intense, for him. Does she feel it too? The way that they looked into each other's eyes, as if the world was theirs.

Peter didn't even realize that he was starting to skate well as he was gazing into Joline's eyes. He didn't even realize Joline had let go of his hands.

She glided in front of him and carefully did a little spin, but stumbled a little bit. Peter gasped and glided to Joline just in time to catch her.

Joline let out an "Eep!", and her hand automatically went to his neck to steady herself as Peter's arms curled around her waist.

She let out a breath.

"I won't let you fall too," He answered back.

Joline blushed and coughed.

"Okay." She whispered then steadied herself, letting go of Peter's arms.

"Catch me if you can!" She giggled and glided away.

Peter blinked dumbly. He shooked his head and smiled, gliding to her side.

The two enjoyed their time ice skating until they were hungry and decided to call it a day.

The two walked to a Chinese restaurant. It was Peter's treat, since Joline took them ice skating.

Peter calmly listened to Joline's humming in thought.

"Why'd you always take me everywhere?" He suddenly asked out of the blue, making her stop humming and turn to him.

"Hm?"

"Why do you always take me everywhere you go?" He repeated the question, then elaborated. "You sometimes invite me to breakfast, lunch, or dinner every once in a while. Or like that time when we watched Rogers the Musical or like today with ice skating."

"... Do you want the truth?" Joline asked. Peter turned to look at Joline who also looked up to him.

"The truth?" Peter asked back dumbly.

"Yeah, the truth."

"Sure." Joline nodded.

"The truth is... You looked lonely." She answered. Peter stared at her in silence.

"When I first met you, you looked lonely and alone. Just like... Me." She explained further.

"That's why I wanted to be friends with you. We can do things together now and then so both of us wont be lonely anymore."

Peter breathed at that.

"Was it that obvious?" He tried to joke to lighten the mood. Joline nudged his arm with her elbow then giggled.

"Yeah. You looked desperate!" She joked as well.

"Thank you for helping desperate-ole-me then, Joline." He nudged her back, "I really needed it."

Joline softly smiled.

"Thank you too, Peter. For going along with my antics."

The two looked at each other and softly smiled, grateful for each's presence.

The Chinese food dinner was filled with laughter as they told each other various stories.

Peter doesn't feel as lonely anymore.

He hopes Joline does not feel as lonely too.
