Here is the second chapter. To Address a concern from a review. I intend to write Inko as a more authoritative mother, and based her off of my own mother. Hence she will not hesitate to discipline her child and embarrass him at any opportunity. Also, Izuku is raised in a different environment and thus has a different attitude and ways of approaching certain situations as a result, this also results in a slight change of personality. Not to mention he is 17 at the time of this story and not 14 as in the canon story, so he is a bit different personality wise in that perspective too.

Izuku Midoriya had grown up in an upper middle-class life thanks to his father's extremely high life insurance payout from the botched medical procedure. A large amount of the money was put in a trust to pay for Izuku's education, and it was this money that allowed him to attend Soumei Private Academy, one of the most prestigious schools in the nation that taught young boys till they were about to enter high school.

After his father's death, it became clear to Inko that even though she wanted to be best friends with Mitsuki, there was absolutely no way for their children's sakes that they should be allowed to be within in any distance of each other with Katsuki attacking and going after Izuku any time he got the chance, regardless of any punishment the Bakugo's threw at him.

This included things such as: taking all his toys away, to actually taking the door off his room, to forcing him what clothes he had to wear like an infant, nothing stopped Kaachan from going after Deku. So Izuku and Inko Midoriya moved away and lived comfortable lives.

Izuku managed to always get nice gifts for his birthday, he had friends at school, he was never bullied for being quirkless or bullied out of jealousy. He was a confident child who was not afraid to stand up and challenge bullies who would pick on those less fortunate. However, he never had one thing he always wanted growing up, a father figure. That's probably why he was so obsessed with All Might growing up. He sort of filled in that role for him.

They had moved into a high end luxury two bedroom condo in a nice part of town. Although they had enough money to buy a stand-alone home because of the life insurance, Inko refused because for one, she wouldn't know what to do with so much space, and two, she didn't like cleaning. The place had a common garden area which allowed Izuku to take up gardening which helped him practice his quirk (to which Inko had no objection with because it saved on grocery bills. Even though she never had to worry about money again, she couldn't ditch her frugal roots no matter what. Izuku would plant carrots, tomatoes, and lettuce of the sort and could go from planting to harvest in as little as a week.

When it came to his fire quirk, that was the one quirk he hated to use the most, and that was mainly because of his connection to his father. This was something that didn't go a miss from his mother and she eventually forced her son to sit down with her once he came back one day.

"Izuku." Inko said after they stared at one another for a bit. Izuku clearly nervous, nothing ever came good from these conversations where she forced him to sit down for a talk.

"Ye-Yesss. Yes Mom?" Izuku stammered, he had just come up from the community garden and he was covered in dirt from his face to his special shoes, he didn't take his beloved red shoes down to the garden for a reason. He was clearly scared of what his mother was going to ask. He hadn't done anything wrong. At least nothing he could think of, besides track dirt into the apartment when he came on up, and he was sure he took his shoes off before coming into the main apartment.

"I see you using my quirk all the time, but I never see you using your father's quirk." Inko stated.

Izuku felt a pang of uncomfortableness grow up inside of him, starting from his chest and extending to his extremities as anxiety flooded his system. He quickly thought of a way out. "Well I don't want to burn our home down…"

"Izuku…" Inko prodded, her son looking up at her, "You have never been good at lying. Please be honest with me."

Izuku stared down at his knees again. His body began to shake and then it just came out of him. "Because dad's quirk is the reason why he isn't here!"

Inko sat there in silence staring at her son, and then she spoke. "Your father feared this might be the case." She then paused taking a very deep breath. "He would have never wanted you to hate the quirk you inherited from him. Your fire quirk does not have the same side effects that his did."

"Well he isn't here to talk me out of changing my opinion." Izuku said, surprised a growl came into his voice. Inko stared at her son for a few moments as he stood up to head towards his room.

"Your father left you a recording in case you thought this way."

This caused Izuku to stop cold in his tracks. His face turned completely expressionless; however it didn't stay that way for long only to be replaced by that of fury.

"Dad left me messages and you've kept them from me!?" Izuku replied angrily, his voice rising in volume, "Why? Why did you hide this from me!?" Izuku was shouting now, "Do you even know I've even forgotten what he sounded like?! Why did you keep something that would mean so much to me away from me mom!? What right did you have keeping these from me! Why?! Why!? WHHHHHYYY!?"

It was at this point Izuku lost control over himself and he sprinted to his room and slammed his door shut. He threw himself onto his bed burying his face into his pillow and began screaming at the top of his lungs. He couldn't handle it. He hated growing up without a father. And to find out that he could have heard what his father actually sounded like and his mother had kept that from him hurt him more than words could describe.

He'd see his friends being picked up by their fathers from school. He heard stories from his classmates about their fathers taking them to mountain hot spring and camping trips. Izuku didn't have that and he was jealous. Everyone was jealous of his multiple quirks. He was jealous of them having a father. Eventually he couldn't keep screaming, his voice had given out and he sobbed until he couldn't cry anymore.

Sometime later there was a knock at the door, and it cracked open, his mother came in, clearly afraid of her son. "I'm just going to leave this on your desk sweetie." She paused staring at her son, his face obscured by the pillow. "I'll just say this as to why I didn't tell you before. It was your father's wish." She then had to take in a deep breath. "He only wanted you to view these recordings if certain events were to happen in your life, and I'm sure he's sorry that he didn't make more. He made them the night before he passed away. He didn't have much time…" With that Inko exited the room and slowly closed the door.

Izuku laid there in his bed for what seemed like a couple more hours brooding in anger and sadness. Eventually he got up and stared at what appeared to be an old holo recorder. He just stared at it; he couldn't bear to activate it. However, he turned it on eventually after staring at it for what seemed forever and his father appeared before him. He had black hair just like Izuku, and like Izuku his face was covered in freckles, the only other glaring difference between the seventeen year old Izuku and his father apart from hair color were the eyes. Izuku had green eyes like his mom while his father's eyes were red with a flaming quality about them.

"Izuku…" Said the recording in a mournful voice. "I hope you'd never have to see this message, but if you are indeed watching it then-."

Izuku couldn't help it, he broke down again. He had just heard his father's voice for the first time that he could actually remember. He had to pause the recording until he could regain control over himself.

"My son, if you are watching this message then I passed away during an experimental medical procedure designed to heal my lungs from the damaged caused by my fire breathing quirk." Hisashi explained in a melancholic voice. "It means I never got to watch you grow up. I never got to see you go to school. I never got to take you on any father and son trips. I never got to help you build a computer or take you to the arcade. So many things I really wished I could have done for you."

Again, at this point Izuku had to pause the recording because he couldn't maintain his composure. He didn't know how much longer it was before he regained a limited amount of control over himself again and he hit play once more. He didn't even know if he could make it to the end of the recording.

"However, even though I never got to do those things with you. I was able to give you so much. With my death and the life insurance payout they are giving me, you were able to grow up in a home debt free. I know as a kid you don't appreciate what that exactly is, but there are parents out there who would resort to anything to raise their children in such an environment."

Hisashi then took a deep breath before continuing, "It means you grew up going to the best schools out there and not the underfunded public schools. I don't know if you are in high school or univeristy or not when you are viewing this, but it means you could afford to go to the best Hero Schools out there. Also, if you are in high school I hope you are dating someone. Girl or guy, I don't care. I just want to know that if you are still living in that apartment there is a secret way…"

To which Izuku turned bright red, covered his ears, and slammed his eyes shut. After a moment he chanced listening again. "And now that you have probably fast forwarded through that section designed to embarrass you. If it didn't, well you take after your mother more than me. She was the one always getting in trouble for that sort of hijinks when we were teenagers." Izuku chuckled because he believed that.

"But now, back on topic." Hisashi said coughing a bit, "You should never be afraid of using your fire quirk. Your quirk is nothing like mine. From what the doctors say your body is designed for your quirk, unlike mine. Some people just draw the short straw."

Hisashi had to take another deep breath. "All I'm now going to say is this. Never let something that was completely out of my control affect your life. Never limit yourself from your plus ultra potential. Believe in yourself, and even though I'm gone, I believe in you. This recording is most likely the first you'd ever be presented with. I forced Inko to promise me that she would only show these to you if certain events happened in your life. And given the topics I have listed out, it is most likely you are a teenager and probably hormonal and moody and furious with your mother for not showing you these recordings. Please don't be mad at her. She was just following through on her promise. I love you Izuku, my green bean."

With that the recording ended and turned itself off, and he was crying again. He just couldn't help himself. Once he stopped, he realized it was 3 in the morning. Had he been brooding for that long? He got up from his desk to head to the bathroom and opened the door to see a bowl of rice on a tray along with a note. He picked up the tray and took it to his desk and read the note from his mother.

"Dear Izuku, please forgive me for keeping this from you. It wasn't easy for me. I wanted to tell you so many times when you were growing up. I knew you weren't able to do the things your friends did with their fathers and I couldn't give that to you. It hurt me more than I could imagine. I love you and nothing will ever change that."

With that Izuku felt terrible again. He mournfully ate the rice as to not make his mother even more upset. When he was done, he made sure to wash out the bowl in the sink before getting ready for bed. When he walked back into his room, he placed the recording device among his All Might memorabilia. He wouldn't trade that recording for anything in the world, not even for 1,000 signatures from All Might himself.

THE NEXT DAY

Izuku was heading to his class at Soumei and outside the main gates he accidentally collided into Tenya Iida, but before the latter could apologized Izuku hurried off. They knew each other but they never really talked. Tenya always hanging out in the library reading and studying, meanwhile Izuku's only form of serious studying came from him always examining other hero's quirks and every aspect of how they did their job. He spent most of his free time running and being in the gym wanting to be the strongest hero there could ever be, but when he wasn't, he was always at the school garden helping plants grow. It was when he was finally leaving school after being in the green houses for a bit after class that Iida came up to him.

"MIDORIYA!" Iida called as Izuku just exited the main gates.

"Iida what's up?" Midoriya responded, a clueless expression on his face.

"I must apologize for my immature behavior yesterday morning!"

"Seriously does this guy not have a volume knob for his voice sometimes?" Izuku thought to himself, "What are you even talking about Iida?"

"I bumped into you yesterday morning when we were both running late for class." Iida responded making chopping motions like a mindless robot. "It was rather rude of me and I did not apologize in the moment."

"Why is he making that chopping motion?" Izuku thought to himself while he stared at the young man in complete confusion. "Well, I didn't think much of it as I was running late to class myself. I stayed up really late last night and was sleep deprived all day, so I wasn't paying much attention to where I was going if I'm honest. However, if it makes you feel any better, I accept your apology."

"Well I am grateful that you accept my forgiveness." Iida responded in a very robotic bow, "Also you need to go to bed at a proper time if you wish to go to UA! That is where you are planning on going if the rumors are true."

"Since when did you pay attention to rumors," Izuku chuckled, "You don't seem to be the one who entertain gossip. Your nothing like that exchange student Felicity Gains from America who spouted nothing but gossip and drama."

"Speaking of which have you heard why she went home?" Iida asked, "She said she had to go home for about 9 months. I have no idea why."

"And you are the only one in the entire school who has no idea. Everyone else in the school instantly figured it out when the nine-month period was mentioned. And people call me the most oblivious person in the school." Izuku thought to himself. "She's not coming back to this school."

"What makes you so sure?" Iida responded, "She said she was coming back."

"Uh no she isn't." Izuku plainly responded as the two boys started walking side by side, "Everyone knows she isn't coming back."

"But she said…" Iida began.

"Nope…" Izuku plainly responded, "Not coming back."

"Why do you say that?" Iida responded, seeming agitated.

"You are the only one in the school naïve enough not to have figured it out by now." Izuku responded in a dull tone checking his phone as they walked.

"What do you mean Midoriya?" Iida responded with arm chopping, "I'm one of the most academically gifted in the school! There is no way everyone in the school could figure something out before me!"

"Yes, there is." Izuku responded in a monotone voice staring blankly ahead, "Tell me Iida, did your parents ever give you "The Talk"?"

"Yes!" Iida said proudly, and this made Izuku jump. How could anyone respond with such pride to that question? "They talked to me about how dangerous quirk usage can be…"

Izuku stopped paying attention as he put his palm up to his face and shook his head. "No Iida! The Talk! The sex talk!"

Iida paused looking uncomfortable, "Well they didn't as much talk, but gave me a small pamphlet to read."

"Small pamphlet?" Izuku thought to himself, "Lucky bastard. My mom had an entire TEXTBOOK that she made me memorize! Going to doctors and specialists to write it too! Making me fill out… diagrams…" this made Izuku visibly shudder as he remembered having to fill those out. "Why did she have to be so thorough when it came to that subject? She essentially gave me a university level course to complete and when I didn't do well the first time, she made me start over from the beginning. I swear sometimes my mother is an evil supervillain out to punish me for simply existing sometimes and this lucky guy gets a small pamphlet and…"

However, Izuku's rambling thoughts were interrupted by Iida once more. "I still fail to see how that perfectly normal topic has anything to do with her situation."

"Perfectly normal!?" Izuku thought to himself and ranted off very quickly to Iida "Nine Months. Nine Months Iida. What else takes nine months?"

It took a while but then it hit Iida. "She didn't?!" he gasped.

"Yup…" Izuku plainly responded taking a sip from his water bottle.

"There's no way!?" Iida whispered loudly

"Afraid so." Izuku calmly responded putting the cap back on his bottle.

"Such behavior is unbecoming of a student from the Soumei Private Academy!" Iida responded with his arm chops.

"Apparently not…" Izuku said looking down at his phone again. "I'm honestly surprised it took you so long to figure it out. Even I got it right away and everyone points how I'm oblivious to almost everything that doesn't involve quirk usage. How are you going to live up to your family's legacy if you can't see such a simple clue to a simple mystery?"

This caused Iida to look down and clench his fists in a mixture of shame and anger. "I have dishonored my family name." he growled, "How can I live up to my family if I can't see such as simple answer?"

"Chill your engines Iida!" Izuku exclaimed looking rather alarmed at how his classmate was handling something so trivial. Perhaps he should have chosen a different set of words? "Listen. You can't afford to knock yourself that hard. You just must… you know… be more observant. I know that is a lot coming from me, but you can't find villains in the world if you think everyone is inherently good."

"Your right Midoriya!" Iida exclaimed in a rather alarming change of attitude, "You should help teach me!"

"I'm not sure I'm the best teacher though?" Izuku stammered, rather flabbergasted he'd be asked to help someone else be more observant. "So that's the reason why you want to get into UA? To live up to your family name?"

"Yes," Iida exclaimed quite proudly, "I must be able to live up to the Iida family name! What's your reason for trying to get into UA Midoriya?"

"Well," Izuku stammered rubbing the back of his head, "I want to help people. I want to save people with a smile on my face. To give them hope when no hope seems possible."

It was at that point the two boys parted ways but neither noticing there was a skeletal man in green trousers and a plain white shirt who was listening in on the conversation. As the two students walked out of site, the figure smiled.

Izuku was taking the train home, thinking about his conversation with Iida he just had and all of a sudden an announcement comes on the speaker that there has been a villain attack in the subway and all passengers will be required to disembark the train at Mustufu station and find alternative means of transportation to their final destinations.

Izuku sighed out of annoyance that the train is stopping far from the villain attack so he couldn't get notes AND he had to walk around where he used to live. The only thing worth seeing here was Dagobah beach and and it wasn't much because it was covered in trash. He was glad that he didn't have to live here anymore and got to live in an upper middle class part of town instead. However, he could deal with walking home from here. He was still familiar with the area only because they hadn't stop seeing Dr. Yamato who he had been seeing since he was diagnosed with his three quirks after his original doctor moved his practice too far away for Inko to justify traveling. It was when he was thinking of a new recipe to cook for his mother for dinner with the plants he'd been growing in the garden is when he passed underneath a bridge.

That is when he felt something grab his leg, something slimy. IT WAS A VILLAIN! It made a comment about being grateful to find a way out of the subway and to shake off that annoying hero, but Izuku didn't' pay much attention because he was full on panicking. His thoughts were racing and it was a struggle to think straight.

He activated his telekinesis quirk and began to try and shake off the villain. The villain seemed to make some kind of frustrating remark, but Izuku couldn't understand it because his senses were being overloaded and he couldn't breathe as the villain entered his mouth.

However as much as Izuku tried to push the villain off him, it endeavored more to stay attached to him. Izuku's vision began to black out as he started to lose consciousness.

"Have no fear you are safe, now that I am here that is" are words that Izuku hears as a figure out of the corner of his eyes jumps out of the sewer. Next thing Izuku knows is there is a massive gust of wind as the villain is blown off of him. A massive moment of relief engulfed Midoriya as the gargantuan weight of the pile of sludge is no longer on him and he is able to breathe freely once more. However his mind is able to think far more clearly now.

Izuku thinking on his feet quickly whipped out his empty water bottle that he finished on his walk with Iida and quickly levitates the main part of the body of the villain into the bottle. After that Izuku collapses hard on his butt from pure exhaustion. He had never had to use his quirk in a life threatening scenario before.

"Thank you my boy!" All Might declared in a loud booming voice! "You succeeded where I had failed! My most humble apologies for allowing the villain to detain you for a moment. If only I was quicker, but that sewer system was a complete labyrinth."

"Omg! It's All Might!" Izuku fan-boyed as he finally realized that it was the number one hero that had saved him, "Wow! It is really you! You are awesome! You are my idol! I can't believe you are really here in front of me right now! Can I have your autograph?! Your smile really looks like that in person! OMG! OMG! OMG!"

"Woah there!" All Might laughed, "Hold your horses young man! These notebooks are quite impressive. You really do have a passion for collecting information on quirks. You are basically like Rag Doll, minus actually having her quirk!"

"Wow! Thank you All Might!" Izuku beamed, "That really means a lot. WAIT YOU ALREADY READ THE NOTEBOOK ALREADY?!"

"Of course my boy! No doubt that you are hero material!" All Might declared in his booming voice, "With a quirk like that and your quick thinking, no doubt you are good enough to enter my Alma Matter!"

"You really think so?!" Izuku gasped in euphoric shock.

"Absolutely!" All Might cheered, "Now I must be off to take this ruffian to the police!" And just like that he jumped before Izuku could ask for his autograph again. However, he freaked out when he realized All Might had already signed his notebook. After a while he had to sit down on the ground in order to "calm down" after meeting his favorite person in the world.

Meanwhile All Might barely made it to a rooftop where he could transform back into his secret form. He inwardly cursed himself for almost getting caught in his skinny form. He silently thought that the boy he met would make a great person to be his successor. He inwardly cursed himself for not getting his name. That was soon forgotten however as he quickly patted his pants. The water bottle containing the villain had fallen out of the air, and his heart sank.

Izuku was in the middle walking home once more when he saw an explosion go off in the distance, "Wow?! Another villain attack? Perhaps I can see All Might in action twice in one day!?"

He runs towards the explosions and then stopped dead in his tracks at the sight that greets him. It was the sludge villain that attacked him earlier, "How can he be here?! I captured him in my water bottle and handed him off to All Might to take to the police?! Also, what are those explosions? That monster couldn't do that earlier?"

However, Izuku able to the scene having pushed himself to the front of the crowd notices the water bottle open, clearly the villain escaped. He saw Mt. Lady on the other end of the alley, unable to do anything because her giant form won't allow her to enter the alley. He then noticed Kamui Woods rescuing people because he isn't useful with all the fire around. He looks over and witnesses Backdraft busy trying to put all the fires out. He's sees other heroes at the scene too. Then he looks closer at who the villain is holding hostage, he looks to be about Izuku's age, he had red eyes.

"NO!" Izuku yelled in his head, "Kaachan?! But that's impossible! It can't be!?" However, there was no mistaking the explosions that he might be able to produce with almost 10 years of practice and the tuft of blond hair was the same as Izuku remembered it being.

All the heroes stood around keeping everyone back because they didn't have the quirks to deal with this villain, but he did. Before he knew what was going on, his legs started moving, and then the next thing he knew he was running.

Death Arms and Backdraft protested as he ran past them. Next thing he knew his arm was outstretched and he felt an explosion of energy inside of him, more power than he had ever felt in his entire life, like he unlocked something within himself. He outstretched his right hand and reached out with his mind and latched onto the sludge villain. The sludge villain was then forced to release and drop Bakugo as it was then compressed and shoved into the same bottle that it was originally in and forced the cap shut. At THE SAME time a lot of the fires went out. Next thing Izuku knew, he was passing out and falling, but he didn't feel hitting the ground.

Izuku couldn't tell how much time had passed since he lost consciousness, he felt people surrounding him, he heard the gruff voice of Death Arms, saying something along the lines that he was reckless for running in and should've left it for the professionals.

But he hears another voice, "Relax Death Arms! I was right about this kid! He'll be an amazing hero one day once he gets his license. Just watch, in 10 years he'll surpass you and be in the top 10." He recognized that voice.

Izuku tried to speak but his lips were cracked, and his mouth was all dry. Plus, it didn't help that his vision was very blurry. Eventually he managed to croak out the word, "Water…" and a minute or so later a bottle of water with the lid off already was placed in his hands and he gingerly drank from it. A few moments after drinking the water his vision starts to clear and he sees that he's actually propped up against a wall. He blinked what seems to be a hundred times and is now able to see a couple paramedics bent down attending to him, and there was indeed Death Arms, and All Might above him.

He started to get to his feet at once but begins to stumble and needed to be helped by the paramedics who are warning him that he is suffering from an extreme example of quirk exhaustion. It was then that All Might spoke again.

"Thank you young man for helping us capture that villain for the second time today!" All Might declared in a loud voice full of his usual bravado.

"Wait second time?!" Death Arms yelled in shock, "You captured that sludge monster earlier!? What happened?"

"Well it was thanks to this young man I was able to capture this ruffian in the first place. It was only because of my negligence that he managed to get free once more." All Might whispered into Death Arms ears and then All Might explains about the first time under the bridge and how he failed to properly secure the bottle in his pocket and it fell out while he was traveling in midair.

"Although what I don't understand is how this young man collapsed after capturing this villain again today." All Might said to everyone around him. "He did it with such ease earlier today."

"This is his second time capturing this villain!?" Kamui Woods exclaimed in clear shock, Backdraft and Mount Lady walking up behind him.

"Yes!" All Might exclaimed, "It was only thanks to this young man that I was able to apprehend this ruffian. The blame for his escape lies upon me. I failed to secure the bottle in my pocket when I jumped off to the police station and he fell out in midair and most likely escaped once the bottle hit the ground and burst open."

Izuku sat there in silence in awe looking at the heroes as they talked, and then he was shocked back to reality when Kamui Woods asked a question, "That does explain how he is exhausted, an untrained child using his quirk exhaustively in a combat situation. Hence why the condition he is in is called quirk exhaustion."

"What I want to know is how all the fires in the area that I had to put out extinguished themselves at the same time the villain was captured for good." Backdraft mused, speaking for the first time.

"Well I have a theory…" Izuku mumbled, and this caused all the pro heroes to stare at them because none of them had an explanation. This caused Izuku to panic and after about thirty seconds he spoke his theory. "It's probably because I have multiple quirks, I probably activated one of my other quirks, most likely my flame quirk."

However as soon as Midoriya mentioned "Multiple Quirks" they all had "this look" of either shock and awe or confusion. This did not help calm Izuku's nerves, and soon he started to feel clearly uncomfortable.

"Young man…" All Might began in a calming but inquisitive voice, "Did I hear you right when you said multiple quirks?" For some reason All Might looked either uncomfortable or extremely curious, Izuku couldn't tell, and this didn't help Midoriya's composure.

"Well…" Izuku muttered in a low voice that meant the heroes had to pay close attention to what he was saying. "I was born with three separate quirks. I inherited a version of my mother's quirk, and my father's quirk. I also wound up with a quirk unique to myself" This caused some audible gasps among the heroes.

All Might seeing how scared he just made the young kid decided to change his demeanor to calm him down. "Young man, could you explain your quirks. Also, we haven't gotten your name yet…" He added that last part with clear embarrassment.

Taking a deep breath, Izuku responded, "Well the quirk that is based off my mother's is Telekinesis, which is what I used to take care of the sludge villain. Pretty much describes itself. Although all she could do was attract small objects to herself and not repel them." Izuku then took another breath,

"Well my second quirk is flame based like my father's. All he could do was breathe fire, but what I have is more like Flame Omnipotence. I can essentially have complete control over any flame. I can conjure them or extinguish them with my willpower. I can also control the temperature of the flames, but I've never managed to make them colder than my body temperature. My third quirk is unique to me, it is a form of plant growth. I can encourage plants to heal and get better, and I can also make them grow much quicker." With that the heroes were staring agape at the young boy. "Oh, and my name is Izuku Midoriya." his face turned a deep shade vermillion red at the whole explanation.

"That's amazing Young Midoriya!" All Might exclaimed, and then realized he made the young boy jump and switched his voice to one that was calmer. "It is amazing to see someone who was born with so much talent not let it get to their head." However, there was still something else in All Might's eyes that Izuku couldn't determine.

All the heroes surrounding him helped him up again as he was still shaking out of nerves. The paramedics say he's good to go home and that he just needs some rest. As he is about to go All Might put a hand on his shoulder and asks: "Young Midoriya, why did you go and run to save that young man?"

Izuku took what seemed like his 1000th deep breath of the day, closed his eyes, and responded. "I don't know, as soon as I recognized him, and my legs started moving before my brain could think. I merely acted out of instinct; I don't recall activating my fire quirk to command the blazes to extinguish themselves. It has always been a dream of mine to become a hero because I want to be like you, a person bringing hope and a smile to people who are trapped or stuck in a situation where they feel like they'll never get out alive." He looks up too All Might who is giving him his trademark smile, although there something that seems different about it, something Izuku couldn't place.

"That's a very inspiring answer Young Midoriya." To which All Might follows up and asks for his address so he can mail him some exclusive signed merchandise as a thank you and an apology for cleaning up after his mistakes. This causes Izuku to freak out a bit more and All Might has to calm him down. Little to Izuku's knowledge, a young Katsuki Bakugo had been watching from a distance and listening to everything, with nothing but jealousy in his face and heart.

The sun was setting making the sky full of ambers and pinks, Izuku was continuing his walk home after being cleared that he didn't need the hospital and he was good to head home and take it easy. Boy was his mother going to have a field day with him for getting messed up in a villain attack. She was okay with him witnessing them on the sidelines, but he went and got involved…

"DEKU!"

He paused because he hasn't heard that name in 10 years and had almost completely forgotten it. He slowly turns around and see's Bakugo running towards him and Izuku decides to politely stand and wait for him to reach him. Katsuki comes up to him and is panting and angrily stormed over to him.

"Why did you do that? Why did you have to save me? WHY YOU OF ALL PEOPLE DEKU!?"

Izuku stared at him and merely blinked a couple times, shocked at first at Katsuki's anger at being rescued from a deadly situation for one, and two, shocked that he clearly hadn't change in the ten years since they had last seen one another.

Izuku looked into the boys clearly furious and troubled face. Izuku knew bullies at school, although he was never picked on, he never stopped to hesitate and stop bullying when he stopped. It was one thing he would never respect or tolerate.

"I merely saw someone who was in danger, that is all. Also, my name is Izuku, not Deku. I am not worthless, and by the way you don't know me at all. We haven't seen each other in nine to ten years. But it is clear you haven't matured at all since we last met."

Izuku wasn't going to give his old rival a chance to respond. He saw his former friend's face in clear shock. Clearly, he wasn't used to being talked back to. He turned around and continued his walk home, ignoring the shouts from the angry kid. Something about him being better for going to Soumei, but Izuku ignored him. He wasn't going to give Bakugo the satisfaction of a response. He learned the thing with bullies, is to never give them what they want, and Bakugo wants nothing but a fight.

He continued on his walk home pushing Bakugo out of his mind. By the time he is about to turn the corner to his home when he sees a skeletal figure in the road holding a large tube. The man calls to him, "Hey young man! Do you know if an Izuku Midoriya lives around here?"

"Ah yes," Midoriya calls back, "I'm Izuku."

"Excellent," the skeletal man responds, his clothes looked familiar, "I'm Toshinori Yagi, an associate of All Might's. I was asked to come here to deliver this to Izuku Midoriya." Izuku with glee in his eye, opens the tube and see's the unreleased 10th Anniversary Poster that was never released to the public and it was signed by All Might himself! He freaked out like an insane fan boy he was and as a result, might as well be ready to blast off into space and continue on to the next galaxy. Toshinori EVENTUALLY finally managed to convince Izuku to calm down.

"So young man, what University do you plan on attending?" the skinny man asks.

"Well UA of course!" Izuku screams with delight, "It is the number one hero academy in Japan, and All Might went there!"

"Well I'll be working at UA next year!" Toshinori responds, "I just accepted a position there just yesterday."

"What!? You'll be teaching at UA?!" Izuku freaked out. "What will you be teaching!?"

The old man chuckles back, "The Heroics position. Gang Orca wishes to focus on his agency more. Just don't tell anyone, it is supposed to be a secret."

"But don't you have to be a high-ranking pro hero in order to teach the Heroics course at UA?" Izuku asks, trying not to be rude or condescending. "It's just that I don't recognize you. That's all.."

"Well Young Midoriya," the skeleton chuckles, "Appearances can be deceiving…"

Then it clicked in Izuku's head, the hair, the clothes, the eyes… being called Young Midoriya. No one ever called him that in his life, except…. "All Might?"

The skeletal man spits out blood and this causes Izuku to panic for a bit till he starts speaking again. "How did you know I was All Might?!" All Might cried out.

"Well…." Izuku said feeling AND looking embarrassed, "No one else has ever called me Young Midoriya before… and… you have the same clothes on… also very similar hair."

This causes All Might to put a hand to his head, "Huh… Guess I need to be more careful with what I say... Yeah I'm All Might…" He said to a dumbstruck Izuku Midoriya.

"Why did you come here to my home All Might? I don't think it was just to hand me limited edition merch. You could have just asked an assistant to do that for you." Izuku asked.

All Might stared at the young boy, judging him for a good minute before responding. "It was what you told me. That your body moved before your brain could think. That and your motivations have made me decide to make an offer for you to be my successor…"

Izuku felt the color drain from his face… "Successor?"
