Hey everyone my name is Spotsquad I'm new to this thing so it will be awhile until I upload a new chapter or connect the chapter together but I hope you enjoy the story. Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-gi-oh or the main characters.

* Long ago in Ancient Egypt 3,000 years ago there lived a brave pharaoh who protected the kingdom. People battled with mystical creatures in a game called yami no game, but one day darkness came upon the kingdom destroying everything in its path with these creatures. The pharaoh decided to lock away the evil power by an object called the Millenium Puzzle at the cost of his own life. Legend has it that the pharaoh sealed himself inside the puzzle to make sure the darkness never returns until the chosen one who can solve the Millenium Puzzle can help him seal it away forever.*

A golden book was closed shut by an elderly man who was sitting on a small twin bed. A young boy who looked about 4 years old but was actually 6 years old. The boy had tri-colored hair of red, black, and yellow. He had wide amethyst innocent eye's, he looked up at the old man with confusion on his face." Why didn't you finish the story Ji-chan?" asked the young boy. His grandfather smiled at his grandson and said, `` Because the story was never finished, Yugi." he said. The young boy who is now known as Yugi looked up at his grandfather in disappointment and confusion" Why was it never finished Ji-chan?" Yugi asked." Because no one has ever solved the puzzle Yugi." answered his grandfather.

Yugi's eyes grew wide in astonishment as realization registered in his mind." So that means he is still in the puzzle." he stated. His grandfather nodded his head " But why has no one ever solved the puzzle Ji-chan?" Yugi asked. His grandfather shook his head in shame" Many people had tried Yugi but many had failed doing so, and there were other people who were so greedy that they just wanted the puzzle to get money off of it." his grandfather explained. The grandfather looked at the digital clock on the desk" Ok sport it's time for you to hit the sack, you have a busy day ahead of ya tomorrow." he said as he tucked his grandson into bed. " Ji-chan? Do you think I'll like school?" asked Yugi. " I don't know, only you can decide that when you go tomorrow, now go to bed." his grandfather said as he turned off the lights and closed the door.

Yugi's grandpa went down stairs into the kitchen and sat at the table drinking some green tea. The doctors did say it was good for his health and also it helps him to relax. He looked over at the closet like some monster was ready to burst through that door any minute. Might as well be he thought cause in that closet was a container holding the pieces of the Millennium Puzzle. Yes there are great stories about it, but there were also some terrible stories as well. The first people that discovered it all died with a strange illness; one person was still alive when another excavation came. The last thing he said was yami no game before he passed out and wound up in a coma.

He stayed down stairs for a good 15 min before deciding it was time to hit the hay. He got up the stairs and looked over at Yugi's bedroom door. He was thinking about giving the puzzle to his grandson for his birthday present, but he didn't know if it was a good idea or not. The child is already suffering enough he doesn't need more suffering. It saddened him how he ended up being Yugi's guardian, Yugi was 2 years old when he became sick, still sick at that. The child was so sick that the doctors told the parents that the child will die with the sickness in about another year or so. It's a miracle that the child is still alive or able to even walk. That's when everything went downhill for young Yugi. The father left not wanting anything to do with the child anymore. The mother didn't want the child to die in her care so she gave him to her father-in-law and she also left. He shook himself out of his thoughts and went to bed.

The next morning a small figure was walking down the hall into a bedroom. It slowly walked up to the bed and crouched down like a predator ready to pounce on its prey. The small figure leaped onto the bed and" BOO! I go-" but the sentences were cut short and no one was in bed. The small figure looked all over the bed but couldn't find what it was looking for. Then all the sudden the figure was picked up off the bed and thrown into the air." ARRG! So you thought you could scare your old man, now did you Yugi? Well that was your biggest mistake, now the tickle monster got a hold of ya." said the grandfather as he caught his grandson and started to tickle him to death.

Little Yugi squealed with laughter as he pleaded with his grandfather to stop." What's the magic word?" the grandfather taunted." UNCle uncle!" Yugi shouted in between his laughter. His grandfather stopped and let the child up. Yugi made a pouting face at his grandfather" How did you know I was coming?" asked Yugi with a little disappointment in his voice. The grandfather just ruffled his grandson's hair and said" When you get as old as me you learn a thing or two." as he left the room to head down stairs.

Yugi got ready for his first day of school. He grabbed his book bag that had a picture of the Dark Magician Yugi's favorite Duel Monster card. He stuffed some of his favorite games into his backpack and lugged it all the way down stairs. When he reached the bottom of the steps his grandfather was waiting for him." My look at you Yugi growing up on me already." said as he opened the door for Yugi and they got into a small red car. It took about a good 12min to get to the school. Once they got there Yugi's anxiety skyrocketed as he saw how many kids were in the school yard.

His grandfather opens the car door for Yugi, Yugi steps out of the vehicle into the sidewalk. His grandfather grabbed hold of Yugi's hand and led him into the school building. When they were finally inside Yugi was so nervous that his stomach was doing flips. He was afraid that he might get lost in this huge maze that they call school. They finally reach Yugi's homeroom, and Yugi sees tons of kids in the room. Some were playing tag, coloring, reading books, and some of them were napping on bean bags. Yugi was hiding behind his grandfather's legs as soon as he saw the kids. Mr. Muto chuckled at his grandson's behavior as he crouched down to Yugi's level and looked him in the eye's." Ok Yugi this is where I stop ok I have to get back to the game shop, ok?" said . Yugi just nodded his head slowly as he turned his head to look into the classroom once more.

A young beautiful woman with straight brown hair and light brown colored eye's walked up to them" Hi!" She greeted them with a smile." My name is Mrs. Applegate's and I'm the homeroom teacher and you little guy must be Yugi. I heard a lot about you." she said in a sweet tone. Yugi looked at her confuse" How did you hear about me when this was the first time we met?" Yugi asked innocently. The teacher looked at him surprise" Smart and clever too I see." stated the teacher. Mr. Muto nodded his head in agreement" Oooh yes he's very smart, sometimes he even helps me when I don't understand something." Mr. Muto said." Well come on Yugi maybe you'll learn something new today and make friends." said Mrs. Applegate's as she reached out her hand for Yugi to grab a hold of. Yugi slowly reached out his hand and grabbed a hold of her hand. She gently led him into the classroom. Yugi turned around to look at his grandfather before gently waving goodbye. Mr. Muto waved before disappearing into the hallway, Yugi looked around the classroom with wonder in his eye.

A few minutes later Yugi was found by a shelf that had tons of games. He was sitting on the carpet floor playing stack tower. RIIIIIIIIING! Yugi jumped at the sound of a big bell ringing in the air causing him to tip over a tower that he was building." Ok little ones it's time for lunch now please come to the door in a very neat line and no running or pushing either please." said the teacher clapping her hands to get the kids attention. Yugi started picking up his mess while other kids dropped their stuff on the floor and hurried to the door. The teacher started counting to see if all the kids and realized one was missing. She looked around the room to see Yugi putting away blocks into a bin." Yugi it's time to go, did you not hear me earlier?" she asked in exasperation." I was just-" but Yugi didn't get to finish his sentences as the teacher interrupted him." I don't care what you were just doing. I told you to come in line when I say ``come you come understand?" she said in a stern voice. Yugi nodded his head slowly and walked to the back of the line." Now, everyone is here, let's go to lunch shall we." she said as she led the kids into the cafeteria.

Once they got there the kids grabbed their tray of a cart before going to the bar where the kids got their lunch from the lunch lady. All the kids got their lunch and sat down at the table and started eating, all but one and that was Yugi. It wasn't that he wasn't hungry, he just couldn't reach the tray's on the cart. He tried jumping but was still too short to reach one so he did what any other 6 year old could think of climbing. He grabbed the very edge of the cart and used all his strength to pull himself up. But when he did his foot unlocked the brake that kept the cart from moving. Yugi didn't notice the cart moving until it was too late, he grabbed one tray and turned around to jump off but stopped in his tracks.

The cart was moving too fast for him to jump off so he did the one thing he could think of" HELP!" he shouted as he was rolled out of the cafeteria into the hallway. The scream caught everyone's attention and the kids started laughing as the teachers and the janitor chased after the poor child. The cart moved the boy swiftly down the hall. It lasted only for a second until CRASH! The cart crashed into the wall. Yugi fell onto the floor and the tray's fell on top of him, Yugi was too scared to concentrate on anything and it being hard to breathe wasn't helping at all. Yugi's vision was fading and blurry. He heard someone shout his name but it sounded far away as his world went black.

Teacher and janitor point of view:

CRASH! Is what they heard before they reached the scene, when they finally arrived they saw the cart had crashed into a wall. Yugi was on the floor with a dazed look in his eyes with a pile of tray's on top of him. Mrs. Applegates was oblivious to the boy's condition and shouted at him in anger" YUGI MUTO WHAT ON EARTH WERE YOU THINKING YOUNG MAN!" she said, stomping toward him. When Yugi didn't answer her she got even more frustrated with the child and kept shouting his name. The janitor was the first to notice the boy condition and tried to stop Mrs. Applegates from shouting at the young boy." Mrs. Applegate's he doesn't look well, maybe we should get the nurse." suggested the janitor. Just as he said this, Yugi collapsed on the floor.

Yugi woke up in a hospital to find his grandfather looking at him with worry in his eyes. His grandfather gave him a sad smile" Hey there I heard you had one hectic day you had me worried." his grandpa said softly as he brushed Yugi's bangs back out of his eyes." I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Yugi said softly." I'm just glad you're ok." said Mr. Muto. After a few hours later the doctors said it was ok for Yugi to go home. Along the way home Yugi fell asleep in the back seat of the car. Once they were home Mr. Muto smiled at the sleeping form in the backseat. He got out of the car and got Yugi out also. He carried his grandson who felt like a 50 lb sack of potatoes. He carried him all the way to his grandson's room and tucked him in bed. He was about to leave the room when" Ji-chan?" asked a small soft voice. Mr. Muto turned around to see his grandson's eyes open half way sitting up in bed.

" Yes Yugi, is something wrong?" he asked worriedly." Will I ever get better?" Yugi asked softly. Mr. Muto walked over to his grandson and smiled" I don't know, maybe one of these days you will be all better." answered Mr. Muto. Yugi looked down at the covers and said" What if I don't Ji-chan what if I go to heaven- and I-I leave you -all-a-alone?" Yugi asked while he cried. His grandfather brought Yugi into a tight bear hug. " Hey no matter how far away you are you'll always be close to me you'll be in my heart." he cried as tears fell down his cheeks. Soon everyone was asleep in the house/ game shop. Nothing seems to be happening until…..

A bright golden light shone in the downstairs closet, a golden box with the eye of Wadjet in front of it. The box cased the whole closet with golden light until it soon died down and the closet was blanket into darkness once more.
