Okay. Here is a small update as to where this story has been. IT HAS NEVER BEEN ABADONDED! As stated before I handwrite my chapters before posting them, which is a much far slower process than typing because the story has never come to me while just typing. That was until I was at best buy and found a wireless keyboard that is fun to use and while I was playing it with it in the store and trying it out, I felt me creative juices come through and felt as though I finally found a good keyboard that allows me to enjoy writing my fanfiction so I bought it. It is the Logitech Pop-It keyboard if anyone was wondering. With it I was able to type up what I have written of the next chapter so far which is about 4500 words worth which for most author's is more than enough if not double what they would write for a chapter, but I feel like I need at least 2000 more words or more to polish it off.
Now this next chapter will be the in between the events of the aftermath of the 1st task and the 2nd task. You will find out what the 2nd task is, but not see it. That will require it's own at least 10,000 word chapter for me to be happy with it. I could've uploaded this chapter a few times already, but hold of because I read back on what I wrote and wasn't happy with it. I've looked back on earlier chapters and have cringed a bit, and to my shame have become a bit of a perfectionist. The Sports Festival Arc is one of my favorites from the series and I plan on getting every detail right on the first upload. I have written one particular scene, the scene the next chapter starts off with about 3 times, completely replacing characters and changing conversation topics. I even decided to scrap the whole thing once because I revealed a plot development about a major character that I felt was done too early and should be moved to later in the story.
I again wish to assure all of you that this story was never once abandoned or tossed away. To my shame, I have also fallen into the trap of reading more fanfiction that writing fanfiction. I plan on seeing this story to the end, it will take years but I plan on finishing it.
Now here is my future upload schedule. With my new schedule being back in university and working at the same time, I plan on hoping to commit at least 45 days for my writing. Usually in the evening before I go to bed now that I have a keyboard that allows for my creative juices to flow. So I'm planning on a tri-weekly upload schedule. I'm not arrogant enough to believe I can make a bi-weekly upload schedule work anymore and the only reason when I started uploading the story that for a time I managed a weekly upload schedule for that time was because I had written and typed up the first 12 chapters ahead of time before uploading them.
I honestly cannot wait to see more of this story being uploaded, because I love writing Izuku and Hiro's brotherly relationship and the cheesy romance between them and Kaito and Reiko. While at work I have been day-dreaming about awkward double dates between them while being yelled at by Karens and other entitled people who think they can return underwear (yes we get them at least 3 times a week). I'm loving UA as a university because it allows me to write Izuku in a way that allows me reflect my own journey of self harmful thoughts and beliefs and the way I eventually got rid of them. That's a little hint for what is to come after the Sports Festival and take place in the short in between the internships and the Festival. And STAIN! I can't wait for you all to see what I have planned for Stain and Blackflame interacting with each other, with Blackflame being a sass monster. I LOVE writing him!
Well I need to go get my homework done right now because I got an accounting exam in the morning. I wish you all the best, and I promise to have the chapter ready by at least the end of the month! No way do I plan on going back to a semi-annual upload schedule. I hated that! PRAISE THE POP IT KEYBOARD!
