"Why exactly are you all here? Don't you have homes of your own?" Hak asks, entering his home after coming back from hunting with his dragon, carrying a boar while The teens inside can see Rampage gulping down fish and sharing with their respective dragons which are outside the home as well. The animals using the fact that the house is on the very border of the town to make room for themselves, many of the trees previously standing around the home Hak build now either being gone or knocked over leaning into the woods.
"Mine is too crowded. And they can't appreciate my awesomeness." Snotlout retorts.
"I just wanted to read this book somewhere quiet..." Fishlegs says.
"I'm trying to get everyone's opinion on what our next step should be as dragon riders." Hiccup tells him while the twins just stare at Hak mischievously.
"Just keep in mind that this is my home, not some clubhouse. Especially you two." Hak says, pointing at the twins.
"Aww." They groan disappointed, Tuffnut getting up and collects some prank materials he placed around the room.
"Do you want some help with that?" Astrid asks, walking over to him with a well-hidden smile behind her drape of blonde hair.
"Sure." Hak agrees and steps back outside, putting the animal carcass down beside his house.
"Have you done this before?" She asks, seeing him trying to figure out how best to skin and prepare the animal.
"Not on this kind of animal." He replies, putting down the animal on a treestump and raises his glaive.
"No,no,no." She says stopping him and chuckles softly.
"What is it?" He asks confused.
"You need to string it up first." Astrid tells him.
"Why?" He asks.
"So the blood can drain. It will preserve longer and taste better that way." She tells him.
Hak looks surprised at this and fetches a rope he used to transport his catch with while flying on his thunderdrum.
"Give me." She says, kneeling down to the boar and Hak hands her the rope, watching her string up the animal so it can be hanged.
"We need to hang this up somewhere." She tells him, holding the two points to hang it from.
Hak nods and approaches one of the downed trees lying around, using his glaive to carve out some rudimentary poles and carries them over to her, using his immense strength to jam the wood into the ground and Astrid ties the rope around the top of the poles, stringing up the animal before pulling a knife seemingly out of nowhere and slices open the boars throat.
"Let it drain like this for half a day or something." Astrid tells him, cleaning her blade in the carcasses hide.
"So, how was your day?" Hak asks her when she finished and steps over to him, stepping into a comfortable hug which Hak returns, stabbing his glaive in the ground next to the house's entryway.
"Boring and cold." She says, nuzzling her face slightly in his broad chest.
"You know, you look especially cute wearing that." Hak tells her, tugging on his former sash which she has wrapped around her waist with the ends loosely hanging down to about her knee height on her left leg.
"So, any idea on how to make your day less boring?" Hak asks, holding her firmly against himself after pulling her close by the sash.
"We should probably join Hiccup in deciding on what we want to do next." She says blushing while hiding her face behind her hair.
"OK." He agrees, wrapping his arm around her shoulder and heading back into his hut with Astrid, who quickly shrugs off his arm and takes an empty seat while Hak picks up his glaive and heads over to a workstation, where he starts doing maintenance on his weapon.
"Alright since everyone is here now, which direction should we first explore in? We have flown all over Berk but I think we should move on and explore the archipelago's islands and find more dragons and document them." Hiccup says, unfurling a map of the archipelago which the Vikings usually restrain their travels to.
"Yes. That is a splendid idea Hiccup." Fishlegs agrees excited about being able to study more dragons.
"Loki tells me we should move west." Tuffnut says pretending to channel the norse god through him with his sister believing him with big eyes.
"Pshe, of course we're going South first. I mean it has an S for Snotlout." Snotlout says.
"Astrid, Hak?" Hiccup asks the most serious two of their group.
"I'd like it if we explore north but I don't care if we do it now or sometime later." Astrid says thoughtfully.
"I think we're not ready to fixate on one direction and that we should circle around Berk as a basepoint." The former general says shrugging his shoulders while running his weapons blade over a whetstone, Astrid's eyes lingering on his form longer than her friends when she gets a good view of his toned arms flexing against the weapons weight and admires this for a moment.
"I see. Yeah, you're worried we'll get in trouble we can't solve on our own and will need to hurry back or get help huh?" Hiccup asks, receiving a nod and grunt from the newest Viking.
"Don't tell me we're just gonna go with what he says because he's a bit stronger than us?" Snotlout complains.
"A bit?" Astrid laughs amused.
"Got something to say goldie locks?" Snotlout asks grumpily but shuts up when the newly sharpened blade of Hak's glaive stops just in front of his nose, close enough for his breath to be visible on the weapon.
"Mind your manners Snotlout." Hak warns him while pulling away his weapon from the now nervously sweating teen.
"I think Hak's right though. No matter how much we train, we lack real experience. So we'll start with the closest island to Berk." Hiccup says, pointing at the island on the map.
"Fine. I will go now and find a way to deal with Loki's wrath." Tuffnut says, leaving with his sister.
"I better get home for lunch." Fishlegs says, packing up his notebook while Snotlout silently joins the teen on his way out of the hut.
"What about you two, what are you gonna do?" Hiccup asks somewhat mischievously.
"Astrid will teach me how to slaughter the boar." Hak says calmly while the girl was blushing at Hiccup's well-hidden suggestions.
"Well you won't need my help with that." Hiccup says smirking at the embarrassed Astrid.
"No, we won't." Hak replies and soon after Hiccup leaves, the door of Hak's small home closing behind the teen followed by the sound of Toothless taking off.
"It's just us. It's been a while since we were completely alone huh?" Astrid says somewhat nervously.
"Not really." Hak replies, putting his weapon next to the entry and joins Astrid on the cut-up log she's sitting on which serves as a bench for Hak.
"Are you scared of me?" Hak asks, looking at the blonde girl.
"No, why would you ask that?" She replies shocked.
"Well, you're so nervous and often unusually quiet when I'm the point of discussion." Hak says.
"I'm not afraid. I'm just embarrassed." Astrid tells him, one hand sneaking into his and squeezing it comfortingly.
"Why?" He asks surprised.
"I was raised a Viking to be a strong woman who can easily fight on par with any man that dares anger me, not to feel like a weak woman who depends on her man." Astrid says with a small scoff, balling her fists in front of her.
"If you want more time alone you just have to ask. I won't hold it against you." Hak says.
"I don't know what I want right now. On the one hand I want to live up to my family's expectations, to be a strong Viking. Yet on the other hand every time I see you I feel so happy and weak..." Astrid says confused.
"I get it." He says.
"You do?" She asks surprised.
"Yeah. When I'm close to you... I too lose my focus." Hak tells her, brushing some of her blonde hair out of her face and behind her ear.
"Does that mean as long as we are an item, we'll never be truly strong?" She asks worried.
"No. We may make mistakes along the way, but I know that having feelings for someone isn't something you fight. You lean into it and get even more strength from it." Hak says wisely.
"Lean into it huh?" She asks, smiling contently while leaning against his side, one hand sliding in his, his larger hand enveloping it almost completely.
"Yes. Anytime you think you're falling I'll be here." Hak whispers in her ear softly and she turns towards him with a blush and a happy smile, capturing him in a fierce and desperate kiss.
"I love you." She says shakily while looking up into his eyes.
"I love you too." He says smiling happily, this being the first time Astrid used the L word.
"Do you want..." She stammers blushing and pulls his hand to her knee, before leaving it up her thigh.
"Want? Definitely, but I think it's better if we wait. Your family's disapproval being one reason." Hak tells her warmly, moving his hand outwards and grabs her butt, his other hand mirroring the action and he lifts her into his lap, starting to kiss her neck and ears softly while she blushes and shakes a little, but the quiet moans escaping her lips encourage Hak to continue.
While she's sitting on his legs Astrid scoots closer, wanting to feel all of his body pressed against her and gets a good impression of how she's affecting her boyfriend when her crotch pushes up against a bulge in his pants.
She frees herself from his lips with a beet red face and gathers her nerves before pushing open his robe, freeing his muscular torso and she lets her hands explore it with gusto, Hak smiling at her lovingly.
"Can I do the same?" He asks huskily, looking her deep in the eyes and she nods wordlessly.
Hak unfurls the sash she repaired and he gave her as a way to promise her to always come back and lets it drop to the floor.
He then opens the leather strap on her shoulder guards, letting them clatter to the ground as well.
"Are you sure you're fine with this?" He asks, breathing in her ear hotly.
"Yes." She croaks and nods.
Hak smiles and hooks his fingers into the
hem of her gray shirt, before pulling it over her head, fixing her hair back so it's not in her eyes once the clothing shifts it back to her original look.
He then glances down at her fit, slightly muscle showing body and the for their age appropriate bulges in the wrapping around her chest.
"Don't stare so much." She complains and pulls herself flush against Hak, who smiles at her shy reaction and runs his hands over her bate back while feeling her warm skin through his
torso.
"You are very beautiful Astrid." He tells her before biting in her ear playfully, eliciting a sexy moan from her and a deep blush on her cheeks.
"That's enough for today." She stammers and gets off of his lap, picking up her shirt immediately and puts it on.
"I should go now." She says.
"Will you come back tonight? I may need help with the boar and you haven't tested the bed I prepared for you yet." Hak asks her, standing up and hugging her from behind, helping her in putting the sash back on while leaving teasing touches all over her flat belly and fit ass.
"I'll think about it." She all but pants before hurrying out of his house and hops onto her dragon, only to turn with Stormfly towards the house and rides over, leaning down from her dragon to give Hak one more kiss while blushing up a storm.
She then flies away and tries to get her mind to
focus on anything but the erection she briefly felt or how aroused she got herself.
