Bella:

Thanksgiving day. I was up before the sun. Since I showered the night before, all I had to do was change my clothes. A pair of yoga pants and my old Madonna t-shirt. I threw my hair up in a messy bun and slipped my feet into a pair of slippers. I took care of my morning routine before quietly slipping downstairs.

Once in the kitchen, I turned on the radio but kept the volume down. My nana always told me to make sure I have all the bowls and such as well as the food I would be using set out and in the order in which I will be using them. She said it just made everything easier on one's self. So that was my first task. Once I had everything set up in the right order, I began my work.

I cut open the wrapper that was on the turkey and shoved my hand into the neck to remove the bag that contains the neck and organs. Eww gross. I throw them into the side sink. Alec will cook them for his parents' dog. Once I had rinsed the turkey off, I placed it in the roasting pan. I poured some turkey broth in the bottom of the pan. I moved the pan to the stove. I set the oven to preheat.

Next, I made sure the fridge was filled with plenty of drinks. We had everything from juice to soda to beer and wine. I pulled the containers from the fridge that held the eggs I cut yesterday and the yoke so I could prepare the deviled eggs. I sat those on the counter. I needed the yoke to fluff up some before I could fill the eggs. So I moved onto the sweet potatoes or yams. Whichever you prefer to call them. Once I had the cans opened and drained of most of the juice, I dumped them into the trays. I mixed brown sugar in with them. I placed foil on top of them and placed them on the counter next to the stove. I will put the marshmallows on them when they have about 20 minutes left of cooking.

Once the oven beeps that it was ready, I placed the turkey in the oven and set the timer. I prepared the coffee pot and hit the start button. My guys would need that before playing football.

It was around eight when I heard the house waking up. I already had fresh fruit cut up because that was what I was snacking on while preparing the food. I pulled coffee cups from the cabinet and placed them near the pot.

Alice was the first one to join me in the kitchen. "Good morning. Happy thanksgiving." She sang as she danced to me. She wrapped her arms around me, hugging me tight.

I laughed. "Same to you Alice."

"Do you need any help?" She asked as she put some fruit into a small bowl. She hopped onto a stool at the island.

I looked around the kitchen. "I think I'm okay for now. The ham doesn't need to be prepped for a few hours. The desserts are done. The turkey is in the oven. Drinks are in the fridge. I am waiting for the egg yoke to fluff some so I can work with it to fill the eggs. So for now, I'm done."

"Oh thank goodness."

"Why do you say that?" I asked.

She giggled. "Because silly, I can't cook."

I shook my head. "Then why ask if I needed help?"

"I was being polite." She shrugged.

The guys came into the kitchen then. And I was right, they went straight for the coffee pot.

"Good morning guys and Happy Thanksgiving." Alice said to them.

Emmett grunted while my dad smiled at her.

"As you can tell, they aren't morning people." I laughed.

The food had the house smelling amazing. Everyone was here except Edward, Garrett, and their parents but they should be here soon. Hopefully. Alice and Rose were sitting at the kitchen table looking over store ads. They were planning to online shop tomorrow so they were making lists for each store and what they wanted to get from each store. I just stood next to them with a beer, laughing at them. I thought Rose was bad with black Friday shopping. The two of them are a hurricane. I spotted Emmett in the doorway, nodding his head at me to follow him.

He led me to the garage. It was the only place no one would hear us. He pulled something from his pocket and handed it to me. It was a jewelry box. I looked up at him.

"Is this what I think it is?" I asked.

He laughed. "Just open the damn thing."

I did as he said and was stunned. It was a ring. Not just any ring though. It was our nana's engagement ring. The band was gold with a diamond in the middle, surrounded by smaller diamonds.

"Are you asking Rose to marry you today?" I asked, still shocked.

He rubbed the back of his neck which told me he was nervous. "Yeah. I thought with the families being here that it would be a good idea. I already asked Mr. Hale for his blessing."

I handed the box back to my brother and gave him a tight hug. We stood like that for a couple of minutes before we pulled apart.

"When are you doing it?" I asked. I hadn't realized I was crying until Emmett reached up to wipe my face.

He sighed. "I was thinking before dinner. You know how dad always goes around the table and has everyone say what they are thankful for? Well I was thinking that could be when I could ask her. I've already spoken to dad. He said he will make sure that I go last."

I pulled him in for a hug again. "You know how much Rose loves that ring. She always talked to Nana about it." I whispered.

He laughed. "I know. Nana's last words to me were that I better give this ring to Rose otherwise she will come back and haunt my ass."

We both cracked the fuck up. That was my nana. Straight to the point.

"She would too. I know she will." I laughed.

The inside door opened. "What the hell are you two doing out here?" My dad yelled at us.

"Nothing." We both yelled back then cracked up again.

Dad raised his eyebrow at us, totally not believing us. I pointed to Emmett's pocket. He understood that because he nodded his head. "Well get back in here. Edward just pulled up."

Emmett felt me tense up. "It will be okay honey bunny. They will love you and your amazing cooking skills."

I elbowed him in the stomach before walking away. "Thanks for the confidence asshole." I laughed.

Thankfully, Alice had me go upstairs and shower earlier. I was wearing a navy maroon sweater dress with a black belt and black ankle boots. My hair was pulled half up in a hair clip with the rest hanging. Alice curled the ends so it bounced.

I stood with Rose as my dad opened the door and froze.

Oh no that can't be good.

"Carlisle? Esme? Is that you?" He asked.

Those names sounded familiar.

"Charlie Swan?" A man asked as a woman squealed and I heard rushed footsteps.

I went to the door with Emmett and we watched as our dad wrapped a petite woman in his arms, laughing. He shook the guy's hand when he released the woman. They talked for a few minutes until they noticed Edward walking towards the house then they all looked up at us.

"Hello gorgeous. I've missed you." Edward said as he wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. Way to make a woman swoon.

"Hey baby. I've missed you too." I said.

"Come on inside and meet everyone." My dad said to Edward's parents.

"Bella. It smells amazing here." Garrett yelled from inside the house.

I laughed. "Your brother is an ass." I whispered to Edward. Okay so I thought I whispered it.

"You are right about that." Said Edward's dad.

"Bella. Meet my parents. This is my dad Carlisle and my mom Esme. Mom, dad, this is Bella."

"It's nice to meet you." I said as I held out my hand.

"Oh Bella. Put that away. We are huggers." Esme said as she pulled me in for a hug followed by Carlisle.

"Bella. Let them inside. It's freezing out here." My dad said.

Once inside, I took their coats and hung them up. I passed out drinks and returned to the kitchen.

It wasn't long before I wasn't alone.

"Would you like any help?" Esme asked.

I looked up at her and smiled. "Thank you but everything is pretty much done here. I was about to get Emmett to take the turkey from the oven."

She nodded. "Does the table need to be set?"

I shook my head. "No. I made Emmett and Alec do that earlier." I laughed. "But thank you."

Once Emmett had the turkey out of the oven, him and my dad took to cutting it and the ham.

"Okay everyone. Grab something and bring it to the table." My dad yelled out.

My dad spoke as everyone took their seats. "I'm not sure what everyone here does before dinner on Thanksgiving but here at the Swan house, we go around and name something we are thankful for. I'll start." He took a breath. "I am actually thankful for a few things this year. I am thankful for my family's health, for my children's careers, for the family that is around this table, and lastly, I am thankful for seeing old friends." He took his seat and around the table it went.

"I am thankful for everyone here and for my new career, for Alice taking us to her cousins club where I meant the most amazing guy." I smiled at Edward.

Edward was thankful for his family, his job, and me. I knew he would say things like that.

"You have your phone on you?" I whispered to Edward.

He nodded. "Yeah why?"

"Trust me. Can you secretly video Emmett's speech please?" I whispered back.

"Okay."

"Thank you." I whispered and kissed his cheek.

Emmett stood and looked around. His eyes landed on mine and I nodded my head. Silently telling him that he can do it.

With a deep breath, Emmett spoke. "A lot of things have happened this year. This is the year that my baby sister and our friends signed a contract for others to hear their awesome music. This is also our first holiday without our Nana. Oh, how I wished she was here for this one." He looked down at Rose. She smiled up at him. "I am thankful for my family. My friends, and especially for my Rosie." He pulled her arm to have her stand up.

"Rose. We have known each other since we were kids. You have always been there for me when I needed you the most. You were there for all my sports stuff, the parties, the fights with my dad and sister. You always take a stand for what you believe in. You can always put me in my place no matter what is going on around us."

Emmett knelt down on one knee. He took Rose's left hand in his as he held the box with my nana's ring with his other hand. Rose grasped in shock. "Rosie, my love. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" He asked.

There were tears in Rose's eyes as there were in mine.

"Yes." She squealed. "A thousand times yes." She threw her arms around Emmett as he jumped up to hug her.
