A/N: Wow this hasn't been updated since Aug 29, 2019… Well then, The world has sure changed… and I have been playing SWTOR. (Edited to prevent confusion Chapter 50 is new as of 3/24/22)
Edit: Shifted events around to make more sense removing the Rushed end of the chapter.

(4/22/22 note) This is not a new chapter of the story, that is Chapter 56. I added 5 chapters to the start of the story and that caused an offset.

Chapter 55: Reunio Sororum

Back on Drommund Kaas, The four Sith sat isolated in the archives deep within Waldstahl. They had passed beyond the Mandalorian iron vault door and pressed onward. These were the bowels of Malserik's archives. Weiss felt off looking around in this room as this had caused them so much trouble prior, especially back during the raid on Waldstahl. This room was covered in more holocrons than the last time she was in the room as Malserik put all of his valuables under a tight lock and key after the attack. The measures to access the archives were now a two-step authentication, retinal scans with a passcode lock. Weiss looked around the room marveling at how quickly Malserik had it cleaned and reorganized.

Looking around, Ruby, now less stressed by combat and allowed to look around, could see the sheer amount of stuff the Baron of Hiskal had collected. Remembering the raid, she noted the improvements made post the tragic attack on their beloved home. Security cameras were dotted all over the place, all scanning, looking, and following the four of them as they walked into the archives. Ruby could feel the weight of her arm at this moment, the metal was weighing heavy on the bone, almost as if it resonated with a large amount of Dark Side energy present in the room. She looked at the numerous holocrons, now that she could stand and focus on the dark side that welled in this room. It was almost as if her arm was tingling like a conduit for the force among so many artifacts. To the gilded eyed sith felt like a tuning fork's vibrations with a few of them as she drew near. She figured the concentration of the energy was growing as they went toward the secure storage.

As they reached the back, Imperious's scroll chimed, and she opened it wondering what update it could hold.

"Huh, I forgot he was on Nar Shaddaa too," Imperious muttered calmly as she looked down at the text on the scroll and gave her a reply to it.

Malserik turned and asked, "Who was on Nar Shaddaa?" His voice was nervous as he did not like it when Imperious 'forgets' something, especially when it is in a place where he has invested assets like his former ship the Specter. Given what was happening he groaned as he stopped at which point Imperious responded.

"Darth Destrus," She replied as Malserik looked almost stunned by this revelation. He clenched his fists. he severely distrusted Vakor and his methods when it came to carrying himself as a Sith. his mind flashed to the sight of this man torturing republic civilians on Balmorra. Malserik remembered the butchery the man was capable of during his skirmishes with Jedi. He remembered the faces of those the man had cut down, contorted in fear as his crimson blade fell for their necks. Though back in the present he sighed and decided to not dwell too heavily on the matter at hand and push ahead. As he walked he found the secure locker he put the Holocron inside, he plated the thing with a large amount of phrik just to further deter any lightsaber-based intrusion. "So, he is on Nar Shaddaa, well then, let's hope he is at least peaceable."

"Well, he should be" Imperious added as Ruby and Weiss heard this and immediately got concerned. Over their time they heard mention of a Darth Destrus though they had faith in their teammates and their abilities. Though as they walked further into the vault, this was now Malserik had sealed his more volatile artifacts the vault's walls had been braced and reinforced to the stresses of the world around it along with being rebuilt to withstand the brutality of a republic attack. While a few of the reinforcements looked haphazard, they were all braced properly to the walls of the structure. Though as they made their way to the back they reached Malserik's most hazardous collection. Though the central back cabinet emitted a large amount of light that looked like the Holocron was activated. Malserik raised his hand to signal for his compatriots to hold. Though as he did a proximity alert chimed onto Malserik's scroll. Opening it his face sunk into shadow then his eye lit with rage. Glaring over to his apprentice anger and pride filled him.

"Weiss, get what we need to know out of the Holocron, there is a ship landing in the courtyard, I'm trusting you to access it," Malserik commanded as he stood back performing a heel turn when Imperious spoke.

"Malserik…"

"No, this one is mine." Malserik interrupted quickly and concisely, his voice cold to those in the room as his back was turned to them, and started to walk back to the entrance of his vault as he bore a look of, 'Never again' on his face. As much as he wanted answers, this took priority. Well I guess I get to test this aura, He thought to himself, he had no idea how to use it but it was exciting to him as he saw how the knights fought and he was curious if such an ability would be good for him

After Malserik had departed, Imperious, still racked by her vision, looked to Ruby and put a hand on her shoulder as her gut was telling her that Malserik needed help.

"Follow him, don't interfere lest he needs it, understood," Imperious ordered as she looked to her former apprentice who looked to be ready to voice an objection, "Ruby please, I have a bad feeling about this, Weiss will be fine with me." Weiss nodded in agreement as she reached for the closet. With that Ruby stood tall and started to follow the path Malserik took out of the room.

About ten minutes prior, Yang, looked on as the blue vortex of hyperspace terminated and the stars returned. From there she could see Drommund Kaas, the seat of the Sith Empire. This sight shocked her to bear witness to it. Despite having spent a reasonable amount of time aboard the Ebon Hawk, she was not ready to go to the planet below. She could feel the pain and darkness from below, it hurt her very being to be above it. She looked on as she took a seat in the pilot's seat.

Her hands were nervous and clammy as the planet carried malice that she had not felt before. As even the Star Forge's own dark aura couldn't even compare, especially as she felt the sorrow that this world could emit from it. Though alas she knew where she had to be and that was Waldstahl. Remembering what Revan had revealed to her, she sighed nervously as she punched in the coordinates she was not ready for what waited below her. As the ship flew forward she knew she wasn't ready to see what awaited her below.

Though thankfully for her, she didn't trigger any automated fire as her ship descended to the coordinates provided by Revan. Don't worry Ruby, I am here. She muttered in her mind. Despite all, she saw she did have a bit of excitement to see her sister once again.

Malserik was furious, first the attack, now this, plus Marr and Jadus. He said to himself mentally as his veins boiled with fury as he could feel his normally green eye shift in color. He took his saber from his belt and readied for combat as the Hiskalan Guard moved from his path as he made his way to the courtyard. He pulled out his scroll and activated his holocomm,

"All Hiskalan Guard, do not engage that ship unless fired upon, I will handle it.

To which Roman came back on the line only about five seconds later.

"Um Roger, only one person aboard and it is the Ebon Hawk," Roman said it was clear that he had little understanding of that name as he read the registration.

Malserik though grimaced hearing the name. He had no idea who had the ship was, but judging by who its last owner was he looked to SturmKrieg and smirked, Well let us see who this is? He smiled maliciously as he walked, not realizing Ruby was following the route he took out of the room. He said hoping, no, excited by the idea he might have earned Surik's attention.

Back in the chamber, Weiss's mind raced, her hands were clammy as she opened the cabinet seeing the Holocron before her that cursed her she saw the normally red glowing pyramid shift color to a blue hue as a vision did not ensue but a beam of light erupted from the device. Showing the cloaked and masked figure that both recognized as Darth Nihilus.

"I see you return for further answers." The Holocron states as it looks to Weiss as lightning crackled up from the floor. "I see you seek answers to what had just happened?" his voice hissed out, echoed by dark and malevolent whispers.

Imperious was in shock from the power being emitted from this Holocron, no wonder the Jedi kept this one under tight lock and key. Though what Weiss said next was interesting as she wasn't asking the lord of the past, she was demanding. "Nihilus, the curse you gave me has changed, Why?" This harshly-worded demand for knowledge begot a laugh from the lord of the past. It almost looked like the void of a face under his mask curled into a smile as orange light emanated from his eyes.
"My creations have returned to this galaxy, no longer sealed in their remnant prison, in a time of great turmoil, and you possess a Key," Nihilus said as he hit Weiss with a blast to her eye patch covered eye and exposed her eye, the ring of glowing blue in an inky black void of the corrupted sclera. Her eyes locked with Imperious. Wiess panicked as she looked toward Imperious, covering her eye. "Now that my spawn has returned, your eye can manifest its true potential but if you seek the truth let me show you." he hissed as the ghostly figure latched to Weiss's head.

What she saw was a ravenous horde of Grimm consuming a world alongside this void in the force. The Grimm were consuming people, killing them, and draining their lifeforce to feed their master. The people she saw all seemed to be blinded, but they tried to fight. This Sith grew more powerful as the Grimm, his creations murdered this world, only to sate the Sith's hunger. Their whole purpose was to consume life and cause fear. This led Weiss to see one of the blinded people stand with what seemed to be a rudimentary aura. This shocked the hollow sith but this 'Miraluka' was slaughtered wholesale by the Grimm. Weiss's mind raced to conclusions as Nihilius then snapped to look at her. "Don't you see, my creatures are so powerful the force itself even resisted them. Your 'Aura' is just an adaptation benefited by the force. Those strong in the force can survive the attacks but those who possess no connection are swiftly consumed by them and you have the key to it which is how they are controlled as they cannot exist unless they are created or under the control of a Sith" It was at that moment seeing the desolation of this world. Seeing the Grimm as they were. As she was released she slumped down.

Imperious tried to move out of the way of Weiss's vision but noted quickly that she was not burning. Noting this, she could see the white-haired sith's face flash with horror as she connected dots and she looked up at Imperious wide-eyed. Her face was pale like she had just seen moved her like her whole worldview was shattered.

As she walked down the ramp out of the Ebon Hawk onto the snowy mountain top, snow crunching beneath her boots. Yang kept her mask to her belt as her dark robes fluttered in the brisk air. She saw the damage, she could feel the pain of this fortress; it looked like it was still being repaired. She saw her landing hadn't gone unnoticed as troops were readying up though they stood their ground. The woman, not wanting to take the risk of a sniper putting a blaster shot between her eyes, put on her mask as the main hall's door opened before her. Tarps blowing in a wind perpendicular to the path of the building. The snow was cold and harsh as the wind buffeted her as the door hissed open. Yang barely even had time to notice the door was open or that she was in danger.

To her what happened next, was a blur of green, she barely managed to ignite ember as the Viridian blade impacted her violet one. Even then the blade hit her aura. Causing the brawler to wince as it was still a hit. He then jumped back and It was then she saw him, clad in what almost looked like an officer's uniform. His face looked older than the images she had seen back on Tython. She didn't even get a moment to express any shock before another rapid strike came down. She parried but was further deflected by the man who looked to be grinning with sick glee.

"Bold Jedi!" He stated as he smiled looking at her swinging another attack with the speed of a form two duelist. Yang with little option grabbed Ash off her belt and ignited the Crimson blade as she lept back to get an advantage so she could better reengage. As she jumped back. Though, her eyes went wide as a whirling disk of green light dashed toward her. The snow follows in the strike's coattails. She gasped as she saw the yellow eye looking toward her as she tried to lock the deployed saber staff. Seeing her red blade made the man take a confused look, "No, a Revanchist," his voice rang with confusion as they looked at each other. His mind was torn by this sight. His mind was seemingly racing as he saw her simple mask. Their eyes locked for a second before, their duel resumed and Malserik reengaged and engaged the rotary function which threw the masked duelist for a loop as she backpedaled. Though as she did three strikes hit her aura, something that angered her causing a light glow under her hood as she was not going to be bested by Malserik. With a roar of a scream, she lodged her blades against the spinning ones with strength, strength to almost effectively stop the blade. It was at this point seeing a momentary opening, Yang kicked him in the gut.

She saw a flash of green that made her mind race as that was the key sign of an Aura, which made the former Apprentice of Revan's mind curious of the nature of why he possessed an aura. With that in mind, she pushed another attack as Malserik lurched back again, the blades of his saber still spinning on their track.

This one is a berserker… Malserik thought before the person darted forward once again, though he returned SturmKrieg to its standard single-blade configuration and attempted to riposte this remnant's incoming attack and he aimed for the head, and the strike connected with the Revanchist's head.

As Yang dashed forward she wasn't expecting to be looking down at the blade of a lightsaber. She dodged the main hit but her aura was still flared by the hit. Though she could smell the burning of hair and fabric. While her Jedi training was trying to hold her back from rage, the scent as she pulled her head away as she could feel her rage well up inside her. It was at that point her semblance activated. With that, she did a double blade strike on Malserik's blade and pushed against the Sithlord's strength.

Malserik grunted as he tried to push her back. He was trying to not get forced back and when he started to backpedal, the Revanchist pushed and pressed with the Momentum she was given. Though Yang then pushed Malserik back with a force push into the wall of the fortress with forces that would be lethal to a person without an Aura his newly found one cracked sending him to the ground groveling as his lungs were emptied upon impact. He was looking to get up though he saw a black and red cloak flowing in the wind before him. Her hand outstretched as if to tell him that this was now her fight.

Inside the fortress, the Sith with golden eyes watched the fight, up until Malserik hit the wall. She then saw the gold glow under her hood. Her mind went wild seeing this. Only one person's semblance was like this and it made Ruby's mind spin. The young sith was filled shock filled her thoughts as there was no way the galaxy would have brought her here. After Ruby saw him get knocked down. She darted out, signaling to Malserik to stay down. She then drew her weapons from her harness. With sabers in hand, she yelled out "YANG!" It was at this point the Masked revanchist acknowledged her. The revanchist's body reeled from the exertion of the fight.

Yang looked to the hooded Sith, whose cape billowed in the wind, her golden eyes piercing her soul from under the hood. This set off a response in Yang's mind. The brawler flashed back to her visions when she first saw Ruby. It was the one where a sith of such description as the one before her killed Ruby. Gripping the hilts of her sabers tightly, her anger flared, bursting forth, screaming in pain. Her mind began to focus on those golden eyes and they drove her to madness as she ignored who they belonged to.

Ruby barely had a second to ready and ignite De Sang to defend herself from a raging Yang. The power of Yang's strike almost sent the Sith lord toppling down. Looking at Yang, Ruby could see tears, she could feel the pain emanating off of her sister's mind. As she blocked the attack from the purple and red blades she assumed a defensive stance. "Yang, it's me, Ruby!" She yelled out in her accented voice, over the crackling of the locked blades. There was a snarl as Yang leered back, her face contorting with malice. She pressed into the blades as they started to screech under the blade lock. Ruby stood strong against this, she watched their bladed spark and crackle. She tried to lock eyes with her sister, through the flaring sparks, hoping to diffuse the situation.

Yang on the other hand only wanted to press the attack. So she grimaced and pulled back to attack the figure again as the memory played in her head, it was the pain of loss that sent her into a rage. She failed to hear Ruby over the redness in her mind. She looked to the woman before her who had killed Ruby in her mind and she swung again. Her attack was deflected, her next was dodged, and the next deftly evaded. Looking at the gilded eyes, she saw pain as this woman dodged every strike. "Yang…" she heard faintly over her rage. Then there were tears on the pale face of the Sith, Why are you crying? Yang pondered as she tried to strike again on the backpedaling Sith. Yang could feel her rage waning with no fuel to sustain it, as it was replaced with confusion as to the woman she saw just refused to strike, refused to attack. It was at that moment as she slumped her rage breaking from exertion. She awaited the Sith to strike her down, it was at that moment she heard it, finally "it's me Ruby". As she got a look at the woman before her, the red-tipped hair, the gold eyes, the scars. It matched what she saw of Ruby on her trip to Drommund Kaas. Yang was confused by that vision that haunted her for these long years. As her sister was right before her.

Ruby, winded from dodging a berserk Yang, "it's me," she said, her accent thick as Yang huffed as she slumped down. "Yang," Ruby stated as she looked at the woman who was her older sister. The blonde brawler looked up at her, the grip on Ember and Ash slacked as Ruby clicked her sabers back onto her shoulder harness. Though she looked back at Malserik, who had stood up, his eyes returning to their green color, "This is… my sister Yang." Ruby said as she looked back at him. It was at that point Ruby turned back to see Yang's eyes lock with hers Ruby smiled as she extended her right metal hand to her sister.

Yang didn't take the hand, instead, she lept up and gave Ruby a close to bone-shattering hug. This sudden move caused Malserik to reignite his saber. Though the sound of sobbing from Yang, made him extinguish the blade. He sighed, realizing Ruby had the situation under control and decided he needed something to calm a headache that was beginning to form. So the baron of the house sighed and returned inside as Ruby returned Yang's hug, she gave a light laugh as Yang hugged her, "It's good to see you too, Yang" Ruby said as she felt the joy in Yang and it made her happy.

Yang finally spoke up as she relaxed the hug, "Your voice? and your face, what happened to you?" Yang asked seeing the fresh burn scars and hearing Ruby speaking with an accent that made the girl question what happened to her sister.

"We can talk about that later, Yang, I'm just happy you are here," Ruby said as she remembered the bone she was going to have to pick with Satele and Blake if given the opportunity. "Malserik I am going to take her inside," Ruby said as she pulled Yang's lightsaber's up from the ground and handed them back to her. Yang took them Ruby Smiled as she used the force to open the door and walked inside.

Yang was in absolute shock as she followed her sister inside, She has changed so much… the blonde older sister thought as she looked. There was a coldness to Ruby now it was clear to the revanchist and former Jedi, Ruby had immersed herself in the dark side. Yang couldn't believe it, her sister was before her, and she was a Sith, a dark force user. Ruby seemingly found a room for them to enter. Inside was what looked like an apartment decorated in red and white. "Please have a seat, Yang, can I get you some Water or Tea?" Ruby offered. "We probably have a lot to discuss," Ruby said as she looked at Yang, and sighed, as she needed to tell her sister all that had transpired.

Back in the vault, Weiss looked to be absolutely frightened by what she saw, "Weiss, what's wrong?" Ceres asked as she looked at her. Weiss replied shakily as she was still recovering from the pain she felt from feeling a world get consumed, her mind raced but she had to get out what her current thoughts were "The Grimm, are controlled by a Sith, there was a Sith on Remnant and Nihilus made them." Weiss said as she looked at that Holocron, she remembered all the pain the Grimm caused and looked at that Holocron and used the force to slam it into the wall. She then unleashed lightning on the Holocron as Ceres the object just flickered as the lightning did its damage to its inner workings. Huffing with rage, she looked to Imperious.

"That thing, it gave me… It gave Malserik and I the ability to control the Grimm, I think." Weiss huffed, standing tall as she then stated, "And if what that thing said was true, they cannot exist without a Sith, so I destroyed it to prevent anyone else from having access so the Grimm can die." Weiss said as Imperious shook her head. she could feel the hatred in Weiss's voice, though the look on her face told Weiss she disapproved.

"While I vehemently disagree with that notion, as there may have been other knowledge in that Holocron," Ceres said as Weiss looked back at Imperious. Her icy eyes looked even colder than normal.

"If I have a chance to guarantee the death of the Grimm I will take it" Weiss stated back coldly as she picked up the damaged Holocron and threw it back into the cabinet when her scroll rang out. Looking at the screen seeing the message was from Ruby, Weiss's jaw dropped as she saw an image of Yang. "Well, Yang is here, huh," Weiss said somewhat stunned by this news.

"Ruby's sister?!" Imperious said recognizing the name, realizing she had used that visage once or twice in the training of Ruby.

"Yes, Ruby's sister," Weiss said putting her hands behind her back like Malserik would, though she looked back at Imperious, she huffed realizing this was a good time. "What did you do to Ruby?" Weiss asked with an inquisitive tone that was accented with anger.

"Pardon?" Imperious responded, confused by the inquiry and Weiss's sudden boldness. Weiss sighed as her brow furrowed and her fists tightened.

"During her training?" Weiss said specifying as she turned to Imperious, a scowl seemingly growing on her face as she turned to face imperious.

"Are you questioning my methods, Weiss?" Imperious asked her tone growing annoyed as she looked at Weiss, though her mind then flashed back to that vision, reminding her she needed to trust them. Weiss gave Imperious a look that seemed upset by that response "Fine, I used you a lot, I used illusions to fuel her, to prepare her for the duties of being a sith, to prepare her for the horrors she would see being a Sith, something Zash failed to do for me." Imperious explained giving a vague truth of an answer. Though it also betrayed some pain Imperious held under the wing as her tone had a hint of pain.

"I see," Weiss said simply, she could understand the logic, but she personally didn't agree with it. That is when Imperious added.

"I'm sorry for any damage you feel this has caused, but you couldn't have her being a Sith while being so innocent and naive," Imperious said to justify her actions. Weiss looked to Imperious her face relaxing.

"Thank you, but I will want to talk about this further, but Ruby really wants me to go see Yang," Weiss said as she, started to walk off, out of the vault, and let Ruby know she was on the way.
