So far, a total of six teams from Class 1-C had taken the practical portion of the final exam. That left only four teams left. Each of the exams so far had proven that the final was anything but easy. Each team was put into a position that dealt with one of their weaknesses. Having to overcome such a thing on the spot made for a very hard test. The latest team taking the exam was the duo of Daiki and Satoshi. Their opponent was Thirteen.

And the exam was going anything but well for them.

"Any ideas?!" Daiki shouted to his partner as both of them desperately hung onto a railing on the test field they were on. Thirteen was standing a fair distance away from them, but her Quirk was keeping them on the ropes. The black hole made from her fingertip was attempting to suck them in. The only thing they were able to do right now was hang on for dear life.

"I'm open to suggestions!" Satoshi shouted back.

It was rather ironic. The two of them had very good mobility between Satoshi being able to fly and Daiki being able to transform his body into electricity. But against Thirteen's Quirk, that advantage was null and void. If they let go, they'd be sucked into Thirteen's black hole.

Daiki struggled to come up with a plan as he felt his grip gradually getting weaker. The second he let go, he'd be pulled straight to Thirteen. After that, the black hole would obliterate him.

'Wait a second.' Daiki thought, a realization coming to his mind. 'At the end of the day, this is still just an exam. Thirteen wouldn't go far enough to kill us. Once we're pulled in, she'll have to turn her Quirk off. That's our chance!'

It was risky. But given the years of experience Thirteen had as a pro hero, the threat to his health was rather minimal. He just had to take advantage of the split second opening he would get. Taking a deep breath, Daiki let go of the railing he had been clinging to so desperately until now. He began to fly directly towards Thirteen at frightening speed.

Thirteen widened her eyes as she saw Daiki come towards her. Not wanting to critically injure the student or worse, she turned off her Quirk. But Daiki had already closed the distance between them. He reached out and grabbed her right arm before transforming his body into electricity and shocking Thirteen.

The teacher was stunned for a few moments due to the electricity, which Daiki and Satoshi took full advantage of. Stoshi let go of the railing and rocketed towards Thirteen and Daiki with impressive speed. He took the cuffs he had and hooked them to Thirteen.

"That was surprisingly reckless of you, Daiki." Satoshi said. "Usually you're more cautious."

"I hate to admit it, but there really wasn't any other choice but to be reckless." Daiki explained. "After all, you can't be a hero if you're not willing to take any risks."

From the monitoring room, the rest of the students from Class C that had finished were watching the video feed of the exam. They were happy to see that two more of their classmates had passed the final.

"Impressive work, Daiki." Marcus said to himself.

"It kinda feels like an illegitimate win though." Fujino said. "The point of this is to make a scenario where we'd be fighting villains, right? He pretty much took advantage of the fact that his opponent wasn't an actual villain and wouldn't kill him."

"That's true." Alicia admitted. "If Thirteen was an actual villain, she wouldn't have stopped her Quirk and Daiki would have gotten obliterated."

"Well what matters is they passed." Rekka said. "Now we have two more friends going to the training camp!"

"Who's up next again?" Dan asked.

"Sarah and Nene I believe." Kenta answered. "They should be up against Snipe."

The sound of gunshots filled the air as Sarah and Nene took cover behind one of the many pillars in the room they were in. The exit gate was within sight for them. However, the suppressive fire from Snipe was making it difficult for them to get even an inch closer.

"Can't you try teleporting?" Nene asked.

"I tried that already. But he still found me right away." Sarah told her. "It's like he knows wherever we are, regardless of whether he can see us or not."

Sarah's assessment wasn't too far off. Through his many years of experience, Snipe was capable of sensing the presence of others. Sarah and Nene's Quirks were useful for evasion and surprise attacks. But between Snipe's ability to sense the presence of others combined with his Quirk being able to alter the trajectory of his bullets, that advantage was null and void. Still, he knew that Sarah would be able to teleport right to the gate if she looked at it long enough. Unfortunately for her, he had a counter for that too.

Tossing a smoke grenade out in front of him, Snipe watched as the area became clouded with a thick smokescreen. Now Sarah wouldn't be able to teleport far with her vision so limited. Snipe came out from the pillar he had been behind and began walking towards the two girls.

"Crap, this is getting worse by the minute." Sarah said.

"Sarah, I've got an idea." Nene said. Sarah turned to look at her partner. "It's a little risky, but it might just work."

Snipe was getting closer and closer to the pillar he sensed Sarah and Nene hiding behind. He continued firing his gun once every couple seconds to keep up the pressure. Even in a close quarters fight, he would be able to take the two of them. Every step he took was a step closer to his victory.

Finally, he sensed movement from one of the two girls. He fired a bullet at the floor right in the direction they were going to show that he could still stop them. But right after he fired the bullet, several others moved from the pillar in multiple directions.

Snipe quickly got a grasp of the situation. Nene was using her Quirk to send out clones, having them run in various directions in hopes of disorienting him. He estimated there were roughly ten clones total. The momentary distraction was just long enough to allow what he assumed to be Sarah to take cover behind another pillar. Several seconds passed on by. At first he thought they were simply using Nene's clones as a distraction to allow Sarah to make for the exit gate, but as far as he could tell Sarah hadn't moved since hiding behind the pillar just now.

"You're wasting my time here." Snipe said. He took aim and fired shots one after another at each of the clones he sensed. He made sure to aim for the legs in order to avoid anything fatal just in case any of them was the real Nene. A bullet to the leg was enough damage to take them out anyway. One by one, the number of clones diminished. As he shot them, he began to sense Sarah moving once again. But this time, she was coming straight for him. Snipe fired a bullet, planning to hit her arm, but Sarah teleported at the last second a couple feet to the left. Snipe aimed at her new location, but Sarah teleported once again, this time to the right.

Sarah kept up the zig zag teleportation as she closed in on Snipe, making sure not to give him enough time to aim. She couldn't teleport far with the smokescreen, but she could still teleport the short distance she could see.

'So those clones before were to give them an idea of my location. Not a bad plan.' Snipe thought to himself. 'But I know where you are. You won't manage to pass the exam like this.'

Finally, Sarah got in close enough where she could see Snipe's figure. She quickly acted and teleported behind him, bringing out the cuffs. Snipe turned to face her and fired a shot but Sarah dodged it and tried to cuff him once again. It quickly turned into a back and forth battle, with Snipe being unable to hit Sarah and Sarah being unable to cuff Snipe. Suddenly though, Snipe sensed a pair of figures behind him. He was too busy with Sarah to do anything about it though and quickly found himself restrained by Nene and one of her clones.

"Now Sarah! I can't hold him for long!" Nene shouted.

Not wasting the chance her partner had given her, Sarah lunged forward and managed to attach the cuff to Snipe's arm. A buzzer then sounded, signaling the end of the exam. "Team Radcliffe and Fukasa have passed."

Accepting his defeat, Snipe sighed. "I'm impressed by your reflexes, Radcliffe. You've improved quite a lot."

"I learned a lot from Gunhead during my internship with him. He taught me a lot about fighting people with knives, guns, and other stuff." Sarah explained. "And it certainly came in handy."

"It sure did."

There were only two exams left. The ninth one was set in a forest. Melody and Vivi were up against Present Mic. The plan the two girls had made going in was to wait until they were near the exit gate, then have Melody power up Vivi with a song that would help her zoom past Present Mic and through the exit gate.

But there was one thing they hadn't taken into account. Just how far their opponent's loud voice could reach.

"HEEEEEYY! TIME'S TICKING, LADIEEEEEESSS!" Present Mic shouted, his Quirk making his voice incredibly loud. "BETTER HURRY UUUUUUUUUP IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FAAAAAAIIIILLL!"

Melody and Vivi tried their best to block out the sound by covering their ears, but it did little to help. With how loud Present Mic's voice was, it easily drowned out Melody's voice, making her Quirk completely useless.

"He's so loud. I feel like I'm gonna go deaf." Melody said.

"What do we do? We can't win against him." Vivi said. "But we can't escape because he's standing right by the gate. Oh no, this is bad. We're going to fail."

"Hey, we can't think like that, Vivi." Melody told her. "We can do this. We just need to come up with a plan."

"But what can we do against Present Mic?"

Melody thought to herself. There had to be something they could do. Her Quirk was pretty much useless in this matchup, but Vivi could still shrink herself into her tiny fairy form, which increased her flying speed. Would that be enough though?

"COME ON OOOOUUUUUUTTT!" Present Mic yelled once again, his booming voice interrupting Melody's thoughts.

'There's no other choice. We have to try something. If we don't, we'll fail anyway.' Melody thought. "Vivi, listen. We need to get closer to Present Mic."

"What?! But the closer we get-"

"I know. But if we do nothing, we'll fail." Melody told her. "When we get close, I'll attack from the front and act as a distraction. In the meantime, you try and fly past him from above. You're really small once you transform, so he might not notice you until it's too late."

"I don't know if I can." Vivi said. "I'm just going to slow you down. I'm a liability."

"That's not true." Melody told her. "We both got into U.A through the same entrance exam. We've studied the same stuff. We've gone through the same training. So I know you can do this."

"Melody…"

"I believe in you, Vivi. So believe in yourself."

Melody's words sunk into Vivi. All her life, she had been shy and timid. But despite all that, she wanted to be a hero. She dreamed of it because she always thought they seemed so cool and confident when she saw them on tv. She wanted to be like that. But if she didn't take that first step, then how would she ever be able to reach that goal?

"Alright." Vivi said. "I'll try."

Present Mic continued to wait by the exit gate. He was frankly growing tired of nothing happening so far. It had been almost twenty minutes since the start of the exam. Melody and Vivi would have to make a move before the remaining ten minutes was up, or they'd fail. He hoped that they wouldn't give up so easily.

Finally, he saw a figure appear in the distance. He narrowed his eyes when he saw Melody run out from the trees and make a beeline straight for him. He couldn't believe she was going in with such a straightforward approach.

"LAAAAAAAAAMMMMEEE!" Present Mic shouted. "IS THAT ALL YOU GOOOOOOOOOT?!"

Melody covered her ears as she ran, but her eardrums were still ringing with how close she was to the origin of the voice. But despite the pain coming from her ears, she continued to run. She put every ounce of her will into running, refusing to stop.

"Is that the best you can do?! I barely heard a whisper?!" Melody shouted.

It was obvious to Mic what Melody was trying to do. He glanced around, looking for Vivi. He soon caught sight of her in her tiny fairy form flying straight for the gate that was right behind him.

"NICE TRYYYYYYYYYYYY!" Present Mic called out, letting his voice spread out and affect both Vivi and Melody.

Vivi covered her ears, feeling like she'd be blown away from the sound waves alone. 'I knew this was impossible. I just can't do it. In the end, I'm useless.'

She looked down at Melody, expecting her to already be fleeing. But to Vivi's surprise, she wasn't Melody continued to stand firm, not backing down in the slightest. Looking closely, Vivi could see blood coming from Melody's ears.

'She's in even more pain than I am. But she still believes in me.' Vivi thought to herself. She clenched her fists, knowing what she had to do. 'In that case… I can't let her down! Melody's counting on me!'

Vivi zoomed in once again at Present Mic. The teacher saw her coming and unleashed his Quirk on her. "YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE THIIIIIIIIIIIISSSS?!"

Vivi kept her ears covered, though she felt that her ears could explode any second now. But she didn't stop. She continued to fly at Present Mic, despite the ringing in her ears and the sound waves threatening to blow back her tiny body.

"GO VIVI!" Melody called out.

Once Vivi got in close enough, Mic gave up on using his Quirk to defeat her. Instead, he attempted to swat her away with his hand like a bug. However, the second he did so, Vivi grew back to her normal size, tackling Mic to the ground like a human bullet.

Vivi laid on top of the teacher, still dizzy from the sound ringing in her ears. "Ngh… did I do it?"

"Nice job, Vivi!" Melody said as she ran up to her partner. She grabbed her by the arm and helped her up. "Now come on! Let's hurry!"

Running with Melody, Vivi passed through the exit gate. They could barely hear the buzzer announcing their victory. "Team Fukuyame and Pixi have passed."

From the monitoring room, the others could see Melody and Vivi celebrating their victory. They had earned it too, managing to endure Present Mic's Quirk at such close range. Nine exams had finished, and now only one remained. But this one was bound to be the hardest one of all. Despite the fact that the team was Hyde and Shinobu, two of Class C's top students, their opponent was going to be a tough one to beat.

After all, they were up against the Number 1 Hero. All Might.

A/N: Only one more chapter left in the final exam arc. Can Hyde and Shinobu win against All Might? Guess you'll just have to wait and find out, readers.
