Description: Dr. Gilmore had just decided to allow Rain to stay with the team and help her from Black Ghost's evil grip.

Joe came into his room to find that Rain was still asleep on his bed. He went to her side and smiled down at her. Her breathing was gentle and her hands softly resting next to her head on the pillow.

From the night she came to Joe in tears, he felt attached to her somehow. She seemed rather familiar and he still was unable to place where he'd known her. She seemed so fragile and innocent when he introduced her to the team and took care of her the night she came back to him. But the night she attacked him flashed in thoughts of how violent she could be.

Rain sighed deeply and wiggled a finger in her sleep. Joe put his fingers down on her head and ran his fingers through her hair. He noticed a small comforting smile tickle the girl's lips. Her eyes remained unchanging.

"Joe?" The girl said quietly.

"Yes?" He replied, kneeling down to have his face next to hers. He lay his head on the bed cradled her hand in his. Her gentle fingers barely coiled around his. "What is it?"

"Thank you." She said almost softer than a whisper.

"Your welcome." He said quietly. Letting go of her hand and standing, he made his way to the other side of the bed and crawled in next to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into him to keep her warm. As she was pulled into him she rolled inwards toward him and when their bodies came together, their lips met accidentally. Joe's eyes went wide momentarily then relaxed and he smiled, pulling away and nuzzling into her neck. But something was gently lifting up his head.

Rain's hand pulled his head to hers and they met in the kiss again, this time intentionally. Joe closed his eyes and a memory flashed in his mind of when he was a small boy at the church. It was his birthday and no one seemed to remember it except for the father and one girl. She had short brown hair that was tightly pulled back in a ponytail and her eyes were a bright green. He was the only boy in the church to notice how beautiful those girl's eyes were. He remembers those eyes because on the day of his birthday she ran up to him and pecked a kiss on his lips, smiled and ran away.

Rain pulled away from the kiss, her eyes still closed and a smile clear on her lips.

Joe smiled and closed his eyes, "Thank you."

Rain kissed him again and rolled on top of him and in a matter of seconds they were asleep holding each other warmly.
