A lot happened over the days following the attack on the training camp. With Bakugo captured by the villains, the heroes and police worked tirelessly to track down the League of Villains. They succeeded in locating their base of operations relatively quickly, and launched a rescue operation.
It did not go according to plan.
The heroes and police had managed to destroy the factory where the Nomus were being made, a place located thanks to the tracking device Yayorozu had made and gotten attached to the Nomu that attacked them at the training camp. And the League of Villains had gotten restrained by the sudden attack from the heroes. But then, something none of them expected happened.
A new villain emerged, one with unnatural destructive power. He assisted the League of Villains and allowed them all to escape capture, though thankfully the heroes had managed to secure Bakugo and prevent him from being taken. However, a battle ensued between the mysterious villain and All Might. To everyone's shock, the villain was able to fight on par with the Symbol of Peace that had seemed invincible until then. And to make matters worse, it was discovered on live television that All Might was far from the strong individual he seemed to be on the news.
Everyone in Class C saw the broadcast. And needless to say, each of them were left speechless by it.
The battle had been unlike anything anyone had seen before. Several blocks of the city were destroyed and turned into a crater. And at the end of it all, even though the mighty villain was defeated and captured, All Might was also unable to fight anymore and would retire from being a hero.
The news swept the country, and even the world, by storm. All Might no longer being around to protect everyone left a gaping hole in society. The Symbol of Peace was no more. And that uneasiness would only continue to make the villains more active.
Yamagori stood in the principal's office with Aizawa, Vlad, and All Might. Unlike most of the population, she had known about All Might's current state to some extent after enough time had passed for her at U.A. And she knew as well as anyone just how dangerous things were going to get with the Symbol of Peace gone from the nation.
"Thank you, All Might." Nezu told him. "For a long time, you sacrificed your body to save thousands. As a citizen, a hero, and the principal, I cannot thank you enough. However, there are many who do not believe you should continue as a teacher at U.A."
The principal wasn't wrong. All over the internet and media, there were talks of how all these incidents were due to All Might teaching at U.A and many worried for the safety of the students in the future. Even if it seemed harsh, there was some merit to those claims if Yamagori was being honest. The main target of the villains had been the Symbol of Peace, and now that they had left their mark on society they would only continue to expand.
"Everyone's uneasy. That's why this time, we must make stronger the faith in the heroes that you have passed the torch on to. However, the threat is still there. We must protect and train with more strength than before. That is why we will proceed to implement a plan I've had in mind for a while." Nezu explained as he pushed forward a document to the teachers. The title of the document read "Notice of Introduction of the U.A Dorm System".
'So it's come to this.' Yamagori thought to herself.
"I'm counting on you all to visit the families." Nezu told them. He then looked to Yamagori. "Though if you want, Sienna, we can have someone else fill in for you. I understand you might not get the warmest of receptions."
"No, I'll do it." Yamagori said. "They're my students. I should be the one to tell their parents and try to convince them."
"I understand." Nezu nodded. "In that case, I'll leave it to you."
Yamagori drove in the car as she made her way to each of the houses of her students. All Might was in the passenger's seat, going with her to each house. While she was a teacher, Yamagori still technically wasn't a hero right now so it seemed best to have All Might with his strong reputation with her for support in convincing the families. All Might had already visited the students of Class A with Aizawa yesterday so now it was her turn to have the former Number 1 Hero as a ride-along. They had already visited a few houses and gotten permission from each family rather easily.
"It's a good thing you and Cersy's dad are on such good terms." Yamagori said as she drove. "I was expecting more criticism, considering his dad's a pro hero."
"It was nice to see Viserion again, though I admit it was a little awkward having to speak to him in this form." All Might said. "I suppose I'm just going to have to get used to it."
"Yeah." Yamagori said in agreement. "So… are you doing ok with the whole… retirement thing?"
All Might cracked a small grin. "Sienna, are you concerned for me?"
"Sh-Shut up! I suck at this small talk crap!" Yamagori yelled back at him. A few seconds of silence passed between them. "Seriously though… are you doing alright?"
"To be honest, it still hasn't really sunk in yet." All Might said. "The Symbol of Peace is retired. I can no longer perform hero work."
"Sorry. I probably shouldn't have brought up such a depressing subject."
"No, it's alright." All Might told her. "I suppose I need to talk to someone about it and get it off my chest. Frankly, it's frustrating. Tomura Shigaraki and the rest of the League of Villains are still at large. And they're only going to get stronger as time goes on."
"Yeah…"
"Speaking of which…" All Might said. "One of your students is related to a member of the League, correct? The one we're headed to now. Hikari Akabane?"
"Apparently." Yamagori said. "When she reported it to us when getting the eye-witness reports from each student, she said her sister was one of the villains that attacked her. Asami Akabane."
"Did she know her sister was a villain before this?"
"No. As it turns out, the two of them hadn't spoken for two years before this. Asami ran away from home around that time."
"How's Akabane taking it?" All Might questioned.
"Dunno. Guess we'll find out soon."
The living room of the Akabane house had an air of tension to it. Yamagori and All Might could feel the judgemental gazes of Hikari's parents on them as they explained why they felt the dorm system would be best for Hikari and the rest of the students. The two teachers ignored this however and went on explaining normally.
"-And that's why we're asking your permission to allow Hikari to live at U.A." Yamagori finished. "We understand this is a lot to ask, but this is being done with the best interests of the students in mind."
The two parents looked at each other before turning their gazes back to the teachers. "You understand of course, it isn't exactly easy to trust you considering everything that's happened."
"I do." Yamagori replied with a nod. "It is true that our negligence allowed the villains to endanger the students but-"
"It's more than that." Hikari's father said. "The fact that our daughter is being taught by a criminal is concerning."
Yamagori fell silent at this. She couldn't say she hadn't been expecting it. The news that she had a criminal record was well known by all of the parents after the HSI Incident. But that didn't change the fact that it stung a bit to have it thrown in her face like this.
"Having a prestigious hero like All Might goes to show U.A's reputation, but I must say it's a little disturbing that they would hire a criminal to teach their students." Hikari's mother added.
"Ms. Yamagori is an excellent teacher, I assure you." All Might spoke, defending his fellow teacher. "It is true she's made some mistakes in the past, but I believe she is fully capable of-"
"U.A is a reputable school. But frankly, they've had one incident after another in just the past few months." Hikari's father interjected. "We already lost one of our daughters. It's a lot to ask for us to trust you with our only remaining one now. Especially with a criminal as a-"
"That's enough!"
The sudden shout caused all four heads to turn to Hikari, who was standing at the entrance to the living room. She wore a serious expression on her face.
"Hikari, I believe we told you to wait in your room until we were done talking." the girl's father said.
"I won't let you insult Ms. Yamagori like this!" Hikari told her parents. "I know she's made some mistakes! She may not have the status of a pro hero anymore… but I'm glad to have her as a teacher! It's because of her experiences that she knows the world of heroes isn't an easy one to live in! Without her guidance from knowing what that reality is like, I don't think I could have grown as much as I have these past few months!"
Yamagori stared at her student in awe from seeing Hikari so adamantly defending her. "Akabane…" She wasn't about to let both All Might and one of her students defend her and stay silent. She got up from her seat and stood up, looking at the parents. "I know I may not have the same track record as the other teachers of U.A. but I promise you, I will do everything in my power to make sure Hikari grows and becomes a great hero." she said as she bowed her head. "So please, entrust her to us so that we can do so."
Hikari's parents looked at each other. Both their daughter and the Number 1 Hero were defending Yamagori with all their heart. And the teacher seemed willing to swallow any amount of her pride in order to convince them of her sincerity. Finally, Hikari's father gave in and sighed. "Very well. We'll entrust Hikari to you and hold you to your word to raise her into a great hero."
"Thank you." Yamagori said. "I give you my word, you won't regret this."
With that, the two parents got up from their seat and walked out of the room. Once her parents were out of earshot, Hikari looked back to her teachers. "Sorry about them. The news about Asami hit them a little hard so they're high strung right now."
"It's understandable." All Might nodded. "You should know, Young Akabane, telling us the identity of one of the League members made things a little easier in tracking them down. You have my thanks."
"I'm glad I could help." Hikari told him.
"If you don't mind me asking, how are you handling it so far?"
Hikari let out a sigh. "My parents won't admit it, but they're partially to blame for Asami running away. She got into trouble a lot once she entered high school, and they didn't really try to listen to or understand her." the teen admitted. "Asami and I grew a little distant during that time before she ran away, but we were still close for the most part. So finding out what she's become… it's been a little tough."
"I see."
"I know Asami's had it tough. But if she's a villain, then I have to stop her." Hikari said. "So I'm going to work hard to become a hero. And then I'll bring her to justice and try to get her back on the right path again."
"That sounds like an admirable goal, Young Akabane." All Might said. "Now, if you'll excuse us, we have many more families to visit."
"Of course. Good luck."
Saying goodbye to Hikari, Yamagori and All Might left the house and drove off to their next destination. Hikari's parents had been the hardest to convince so far, and they hoped that the rest of the families would be easier. It was clear that Hikari had her own issues with her parents and was coming to terms with things she would need to face in the future as a hero.
Silence passed by the two teachers for several minutes before Yamagori finally broke the tension. "So… thanks. For earlier I mean."
"Hm? What are you talking about?"
"Standing up for me back there. Seeing you and Akabane defend me like that… I appreciate it."
All Might cracked a grin. "Why Sienna, is that a blush I see coming from you?"
"Shut up! Don't forget, I can kick your ass now that you no longer have all that muscle, All Might!" Yamagori yelled at him. She tried her best to hide her embarrassed red cheeks, but her efforts only served to make them even more apparent.
All Might let out a small chuckle. "So, who's house is next?"
"Hiryo's." Yamagori answered. "Let's hope we have an easier time than we did just now."
"Wow! It's really All Might! He's really here!"
Yamagori and All Might hadn't really known what to expect when they arrived at the Hiryo home. Dan's mother had answered the door and let the two teachers in. But before either of them had a chance to see Dan, a young girl instead came running out with an excited grin on her face. She was now standing right in front of All Might and staring at him in awe.
"Clair, I thought I told you to not act crazy." Dan said, stepping into the hall. He reached out a watery arm and pulled his sister back, holding the little girl in the air as she flailed around. "Ms. Yamagori and All Might are probably really busy. Don't get in their way."
"Oh no, it's quite alright." All Might assured the teen. "I must say, you certainly have quite the energetic sister."
"Yeah! When I grow up, I'm gonna be a hero, just like Dan!" Clair said with a grin. "Watch this!" holding out her hands, bubbles began coming out from her palms.
"Bubbles?" Yamagori questioned. "So you have a water-based Quirk like your brother."
"Yeah. Her Quirk lets her create bubbles and shoot them out from her body." Dan explained. "She can also make them a lot more durable than normal bubbles if she wants, kind of like inflatable barriers."
"That's quite the impressive Quirk." All Might said to Clair.
"Yeah! And I saw you fight that villain the other day on tv! You were super duper amazing!" Clair told him. "You're like the coolest hero ever! I can't believe I get to meet you! My friends will be so jealous!"
"That's enough Clair. Like your brother said, these two are here on business." Dan's mother said. She gestured the two teachers into the living room. "Come. I'll get some snacks."
"That's very kind of you. Thank you." Yamagori said.
As the day went by, Yamagori and All Might visited each of the homes of the Class C students. To their relief, it hadn't been especially hard to convince most of the families. They understood from their kids how much effort U.A had put into preparing them, and protecting them during the incidents. With everything that happened, it only made sense to try and keep the students as safe as possible. By the end of the day, each of the students of Class C had permission from their parents or guardians to move into the dorms.
A few days later, the time finally came for the students to move into the newly made dorms. Heights Alliance. It was a surprisingly well built structure considering it had been completed in only three days. It just went to show what was possible in the modern age with Quirks.
Class C gathered outside their dorm building together. Yamagori was standing before the group, looking at all of her students.
"Now then, I'll go into more detail about the dorms, but first I need to explain something else." Yamagori told them. "Starting tomorrow, we'll be focusing on all of you getting the provisional licenses we were planning to have you all get during the training camp. It won't be the same type of training you all did at the camp though. I'll explain the finer details when it begins tomorrow." She began walking towards the dorm building. "Now, let's go inside."
The students followed their teacher into the building. Once inside, they found themselves in a wide open common room. There was wood flooring and multiple couches and tables, along with a television set. The spacious area of it was much better than what any of them had been expecting.
"Each student dorm building holds one class. Girls are on the right, and boys on the left. But the first floor is a common area." Yamagori explained. "Food, baths, and laundry are on this floor."
The students all looked around, surprised at how nice the building was. Many even noticed a courtyard available to them, which only added to their awe. Fujino couldn't help being left speechless. The simple apartment she had been living in until now was already a major upgrade from the rooms at Paradise's facility where they had rows upon rows of bunk beds for their test subjects. And now she would be living in a fancy dorm building. It made her feel blessed to accept the proposal of attending U.A.
"Rooms start on the second floor." Yamagori continued. "There are four rooms per gender on each floor, with five floors total. Everyone gets their own room. They're luxurious spaces equipped with their own AC, toilets, fridges, and closets. They also each have a balcony." She then gave the class a sheet of paper. "These are the room assignments for everybody. The belongings you sent ahead are already in your rooms, so unpack and get settled in for today. I'll tell you more about what we'll be doing to prepare for the provisional license exam tomorrow."
With that, Yamagori left and let the students get accustomed to their new home. Each of them decided to head to their rooms for now and get unpacked.
Hours passed by as everyone unpacked and organized their rooms to their liking. The first floor common room became filled with the students as each of them finished and decided to relax.
"Man, that took longer than I thought it would." Marcus said as he sat down on the couch.
"Fujino was down here before anyone else." Shiro said.
"Well duh. I don't own anything, so I just got provided the basics." Fujino reminded him. "The only furniture in my room is a bed and a desk, in addition to the stuff everyone else has."
"Oh right…" Shiro realized. "Sorry."
Fujino shrugged her shoulders. "It's fine. As far as I'm concerned, a bed and desk are all I really need anyway."
"It really is crazy though. To think we're all living together now." Daiki pointed out.
"Oui! And with boys and girls together, romance is blooming through the air!" Merci exclaimed. "What sort of romantic endeavours will we each face? Will moui get a lady visitor in the middle of the night?"
"Give your dumb fantasies a rest, Merci." Fiona said as she and the other girls walked over to the guys that were gathered together. "In any case, us girls had a fun little idea for all of us to do."
"What's that?" Satoshi asked.
"Let's all present our rooms!" Melody said cheerfully. "We can have a little contest to see who has the best creativity in the class!"
"Not interested." Shinobu said as he leaned back. "Who'd want to waste their time with that?"
"Party pooper." Melody frowned. "What about the rest of you boys?"
Dan shrugged his shoulders. "I don't mind."
"Same here." Marcus nodded.
"Heh, get ready to be blown away by my creative style! You may go blind from sheer epicness!" Hyde smirked.
"After a declaration like that, no way am I sitting this out. Let's do this!" Shiro chimed in.
"Then it's settled!" Jill said. "We'll start with the boys!"
Everyone made their way to the second floor, where the rooms started. First up for the boys on that floor was Kenji.
Staying in trend with Kenji's ninja-like style, the teen's room had a feudal theme to it. It had dark-colored walls, as well as signs hanging on the wall regarding training motivation. There were even a couple swords standing against the wall.
"I figured it'd be something like this." Fiona said.
"The swords are pretty neat though." Nene added, examining the detail of the blades.
Up next for the boys on the second floor was Dan. It was a mostly normal looking room, with a television and game system set up. While the game system didn't do much to impress the girls, there were a few guys that took notice of it.
"Yo, what games do you have for this? Anything multiplayer?" Shiro asked.
"It's mostly rpgs." Dan admitted, opening up a drawer for his desk that housed multiple games. "But there are a few multiplayer ones."
A few of the guys took a look at the collection Dan had. "Yo, this is awesome! We're totally hanging out here for a gaming night sometime soon!" Shiro said.
"Yeah, that sounds like a blast." Marcus chimed in.
"Sure. I'd love that." Dan said, moving over to his bed and sitting down on it. Everyone quickly noticed how he practically sank into the mattress.
"No way! You have a water bed?!" Melody exclaimed.
"Huh? Oh, yeah." Dan nodded. "I got it when I was younger to go with my Quirk."
"Can I try it?! Please!" Melody asked.
"Sure?" Dan said as he got up from the bed, not really sure what all the excitement was about.
Melody quickly jumped into the air and landed on the bed. "Oh man, this feels so cool! Way different than a normal bed!" Melody said. "Hey girls, you have to try this!"
A couple of the girls were curious as to what a water bed would feel like so they each took turns lying on the bed. It was a unique feeling, as if they were floating along the sea without a care in the world.
"Darn. No fair, using a water bed to get girls." Shiro said.
"I still don't see why they're that into it." Dan told him.
After everyone interested got a turn feeling what the water bed was like, they moved on to the next room on the floor. Satoshi. His room had a small bookshelf lined with books about various things.
"Huh. You really are a big reader, aren't you?" Nene said.
"It's been a hobby of mine for many years." Satoshi nodded.
The last room on the second floor was Merci's. To no one's surprise, it was very French in nature. There were also many flowers decorating the room, each with different fragrances that appealed to the nose.
"A thing of beauty, non?" Merci asked. "Go on! Express how it is a pleasure for the eyes and nose alike!"
"Well the flowers smell nice, I'll give it that." Sarah admitted.
"They're quite lovely." Sakura said, examining them. "Did you grow these yourself, Merci?"
"Oui! Like a lady, flowers must be handled with delicate touch and care."
"And now he ruined it. Next." Fiona said.
Moving onto the third floor, Hyde's was the first room to be shown. No one really knew what to expect for his room, but when they walked inside, most of the males in the group were struck with awe. There were several gaming consoles, along with a large television set. On a large bookshelf along the wall was an assortment of games for the various consoles shown.
"Holy crap! This is awesome!" Daiki said.
"Sorry Dan, but I take back what I said earlier. This is where we're going for a gaming night." Shiro said.
"No arguments here." Dan said. "This is quite the collection you have, Hyde."
"Of course. Observe and weep in jealousy." Hyde said with a smug grin.
"Meh." the girls said in unison.
"Meh?! What do you mean meh?!" Hyde questioned. "Have you ever seen such a gaming paradise?!"
"No, but is having a bunch of games really interior decorating?" Fiona said.
"I guess it's more appealing to guys. They're into this sorta thing." Nene shrugged.
"Screw all of you!" Hyde yelled.
Ignoring Hyde's outburst, everyone moved onto the next room. This one was Marcus's. Everyone was surprised when they saw the Japanese style of it. The floorboards were different from the other rooms, using tatami rather than normal flooring. Rather than a regular bed, there was a futon. In the middle of the room was a short table with cushions for people to kneel on when gathered around it. The only non-Japanese themed thing in the room was a modern-looking desk and chair. Along the wall was a bookshelf with various books about heroes.
"How the hell did you do all this in one day?!" Hyde asked. "Forget the furniture and stuff, how'd you swap out the floor?!"
Marcus shrugged. "It wasn't all that hard. My house is a bit on the old side so this is how I felt I'd be comfortable."
"Yeah, it certainly feels like your room at home." Sarah nodded.
"Agreed." Daiki nodded. "Though I am surprised you did all this so quickly."
Next to Marcus's room was Daiki's. Like Dan's it was mostly normal with a few outliers that showed off his unique characteristics. There was a small collection of retro game consoles and music collections. The thing most of the girls noticed right away however was the stuffed animal in the room, a Pachirisu from the Pokemon series.
"Aw, it's so cute!" Melody squealed as she hugged the doll. "And so fluffy too!"
Hyde shot a teasing grin at Daiki as he elbowed him. "Didn't take you for the type of guy who was into that stuff."
"It's not like that." Daiki told him. "It was a gift from my little sister."
"Your sister?" Sakura asked.
"Yeah." Daiki nodded. He walked over to his desk where there was a picture of him, Marcus, Sarah, and three other younger girls. One of them had jet black hair and blue eyes. The second had cherry brown hair, with fox-like ears and a pair of tails resembling that of a fox as well. And lastly, the third girl stood on Sarah's shoulder, standing only about half a foot tall. She had long silver hair with bangs covering her left eye.
"That one is Jasmine, my sister." Daiki explained.
"The black haired one is my sister Emma." Marcus added.
"Then the tiny one must be… your sister Sarah?" Jill asked.
Sarah nodded her head. "Yeah. That's my little sister Kione." she explained. "If it wasn't already obvious, that tiny size of hers is her Quirk. She shrunk a lot in the few years after she was born. Now this is her size."
"So it's not a Quirk that allows her to change her size? She's always tiny?" Nene asked. "That's gotta be tough."
"A little, but she's made it work." Sarah said. A small grin came to her face. "She actually sleeps in a doll house my parents and I helped make for her."
"That's so sweet." Alicia said. "You're all so close with your siblings, just like me and my sister Emi."
"Yeah." Daiki nodded. "Though technically for me, Jasmine was adopted. We found her alone on the street one day. She had no family, no memories, nothing. So we took her in, and she's been family ever since."
Shiro teared up a little at the story. "That's so touching." he said, wiping his eyes. "Sibling love truly is a beautiful thing!"
"Well I think that'll do it for this room." Hikari said. "Who's next?"
"The last one on this floor is Shinobu I think." Lilina said. All heads turn to the violet-haired male, leaning against the window in the hall.
Shinobu shrugs his shoulders. "Fine. You can all see it on one condition. None of you touches anything."
Given that it was the chance to see the room of one of the most aloof members of Class C, no one had any objections. If anything, they were a little surprised he was giving them the chance to see it at all.
Shinobu opened the door and showed off his room. The walls were a plain white color. His bed and desk looked a little fancy, implying that his family was a bit more well-to-do than the others. He had shelves lined with all kinds of technical books. Math, history, literature, every subject imaginable was there. There were also quite a number of books regarding heroes.
"Figures that the top of the class would have nothing but books." Jill said.
"You've also got some pretty expensive furniture." Lilina noted. "Is your family rich or something?"
"If you must know, my family is a bit wealthier than most." Shinobu admitted.
Lilina could feel herself drooling a little at the prospect of having a rich boy in her class, but quickly stopped herself before anyone could see. It was unlikely Shinobu would be one to spread whatever wealth he had anyway.
"All that's left for the boys is… Shiro." Fiona said, counting off whose rooms they had seen so far.
Everyone went up to the fourth floor, where Shiro was the only one with a room on. The crocodile teen opened the door and let everyone see inside.
The room was pretty basic, though one thing that did stick out was a punching bag hung up. "What do you think? This room doubles as a good place to do some training.
"It's about what I'd expect from a boys room." Hikari said as she looked around. As she did, she noticed something hidden under the bed. "Hm? What's this?"
"No! Don't look under there!" Shiro exclaimed.
It was too late however as Hikari pulled out a small container. Inside it were multiple books.
"Let me guess. It's his porn stash?" Nene questioned.
"Wh-What?! No!" Shiro exclaimed. "It's… umm…"
"Hang on…" Hikari said. "This is a romance novel. And not the trashy kind either."
"So is this one." Alicia said, taking out another book. "They're all romance novels."
All heads turned to Shiro, who tried to cover his face to hide the embarrassed blush on his cheeks. Fiona showed a teasing grin as she nudged Shiro. "So you're a big romance lover, aren't you?"
"Now you've done it. I'm never going to be able to live this down." Shiro sulked.
"I think it's nice." Sakura told him with a soft smile. "It's a side of you I haven't seen before, Shiro."
With Shiro's room finished, all of the boys' rooms had been seen. Now it was time for the girls' rooms. Several of the male students couldn't help but feel a little nervous at the prospect of seeing the inside of a girl's room.
Shinobu went back to his room, uninterested with the rest of the contest. Now that everyone had seen his room, they had no excuse to bug him. So the rest of the students went to the girls side of the building, starting on the second floor. First up was Rekka, who was excited to show off her room.
"Check it out, everybody!" Rekka said with a big grin.
The inside of Rekka's room was just what one would expect for the average girl, which was surprising since none of them were expecting anything normal for Rekka. The walls were pink and a rug covered most of the floor. Cushions and stuffed animals were all over the place.
"It's so cute, Rekka!" Melody said with a smile. "This is amazing!"
"Hehehehe, thanks." Rekka giggled as she rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment.
The next room was Lilina's. To nobody's surprise, the money hungry girl had a gold color for her walls. On top of her dresser was a large jar of marbles, likely a restock of the ones she used in battle. Next to it was a piggy bank. Hanging on her wall was a poster of the periodic table of elements, fitting given her Quirk.
"Honestly, I'm surprised it's only the walls that are gold." Satoshi said.
"Tsk, tsk, of course it can't all be gold. Then it looks too gaudy." Lilina said, waving her finger. "See I have a little thing called tact and charm."
"Sure…" Nene said in an unconvinced tone.
The following room was Sakura's. Everyone was curious to see what the student representative's room would look like. As one would expect, it was filled with plants. Unlike Merci's room however, there were more than just flowers. She had multiple pots with small trees growing out from them. Sitting against the wall was a watering can. A very fitting room for a girl whose Quirk dealt entirely with plantlife.
After Sakura received compliments for her room, they moved onto the final room for the girls on the floor which was Sarah. The inside of the room was filled with training equipment. Weights and dumbbells were laid out in one corner of the room. The walls were a mix of violet and black. In the middle of the room was a sandbag for even more training.
"Wow, there's so much training equipment." Dan noted.
"Well at the end of the day, my Quirk is only good for mobility. I need my body to be able to move right and hit hard enough when fighting." Sarah explained.
Marcus took notice of another sandbag in the corner of the room. This one was far less well-made and it was clear it had been put through the wringer with the duct tape covering what one could only assume were rips in it. "I can't believe you still have this thing."
"What thing?" Jill asked, looking over in Marcus's direction.
"AH!" Sarah exclaimed, her cheeks going red when she saw the sandbag Marcus was standing near. "I thought I put that in the closet!"
"What is it?" Hyde asked.
"It's a sandbag she made back when she was 9." Marcus said with a grin. "She made it for training after she got serious about wanting to be a hero."
Multiple students took a look at the sandbag, much to Sarah's displeasure. It had a sinister looking face drawn on it with a marker, as well as a name in the middle of it reading "Sand Demon". The students shared a small laugh at the expense of Sarah, not used to seeing something so childish from one of their top students.
"It was to add feeling to training." Sarah sulked.
Deciding to give Sarah a break, the group moved on to the third floor. The first room there belonged to Alicia. It was a mostly normal girl's room with a few magazines piled together on top of her desk, consisting of women's beauty to ones about movie stars. In the corner of her room was a comfy looking cushion.
After Alicia's room came Fiona's. Fitting the girl who's Quirk worked best underwater, her entire room was underwater themed. Her wallpaper was blue with bubbles painted on it, as if it was the ocean. Sitting on top of her drawer was a fishbowl that had a pair of pet fish swimming in it.
"Oh cool, you have a pet!" Sakura noted.
"Yup." Fiona said with a grin. She looked at Hikari and noticed the blonde girl drooling as she stared at the fish. "No, Hikari! They're not food!"
Hikari chuckled nervously as she rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry. Cat instinct."
Moving onto the next room, this time it was Nene's turn. However, Nene seemed to want everyone anywhere but inside. She stood in front of the door with a few beads of sweat starting to roll down her head.
"Heh heh, you know what, after seeing all these amazing rooms, I know mine won't be able to compete. Why don't we just skip it and move on?"
No one was buying Nene's story. All of the girls grinned mischievously. "Come on, Fukasa. No use running away now." Jill told her.
Having no other choice, Nene reluctantly opened the door to her room. The walls of her room were filled with posters of various action movies. Nene showed an embarrassed blush as her classmates looked around.
"So this is the kind of stuff you're into, huh?" Shiro said.
"Can we just move on already?" Nene asked.
The final room for the third floor belonged to Melody. Befitting the musical member of the class, Melody's room was filled with all kinds of stuff related to singing. There was a toy microphone, as well as a stand with a chart of music opened up. Multiple other music sheets were piled up on her desk. Next to the nightstand by her bed was a cd player.
"You really do love singing, don't you?" Alicia said as she looked at the sheets of music.
Melody nodded her head. "Yeah. Music is practically my life."
After everyone was finished looking at Melody's room, they moved up to the next floor. The first room there was Fujino's, who shrugged and said she doubted they were going to find much style in it.
Taking a look inside, Fujino hadn't been kidding when she said the school had just given her the basics. She had a plain bed, a desk and chair, and a dresser. The desk at least looked nice, having a few drawers to put stuff in. Her room's mini fridge was at the side, but there was nothing to put in it yet due to her not having any money.
"Well plain's got it's own charm I guess." Alicia said, trying to put a positive spin on the room in an effort to make Fujino feel better.
Up next was Hikari's room. Sitting on her desk was a mirror and soft-looking brush. In the corner of her room was a pole with claw marks on it, which caught the attention of several students.
"Is that a… scratch post?" Nene asked.
"I-It's for training!" Hikari said with an embarrassed blush.
Only two rooms remained. First up was Jill's. The inside had grey walls and the poster of several boy bands hung up. The biggest poster of all was one of Jimmi Axediver, the Quirkless musician that she and some of the others had gone to meet the day they met Fujino.
Last was Vivi's room. The female student blushed in embarrassment as she reluctantly opened the door. "Oh just look already! Get it over with!"
Taking a look inside, the group got a view of the final room for the girls. The inside was filled with stuffed animals, as well as a dollhouse. As everyone gazed upon her room, Vivi could only hide her embarrassment as she covered her face with her hands.
"It's so cute, Vivi!" Melody said. "I love it."
"R-Really?" Vivi asked.
"Yeah." Nene said. "I had a dollhouse like this when I was little."
The compliments helped to brighten Vivi's mood a little. When everyone was done looking around, they all gathered downstairs in the common room. Each of the students wrote their vote on a slip of paper before inserting it into a box.
After tallying the votes, Jill declared the winner. "And the student with the best room is… Marcus!" All heads turned to Marcus upon hearing his name called. "The reason was apparently due to the fact that you managed to completely redesign your room in a day."
Marcus showed a satisfied grin at winning the contest. He hadn't expected all his hard work to pay off in this fashion, but it didn't feel bad at all.
Night was beginning to fall over U.A. The students chatted away as they ate dinner together. The conversation drifted between everyone's rooms and what sort of training they'd be doing for the provisional license exam starting tomorrow. Thankfully, the stress from the villain attack during the training camp had begun to fade and all of them were acting just like the aspiring teenage heroes they were.
Eventually, it came time for bed so everyone retired to their rooms. They all went to sleep, eager to resume their training tomorrow.
A/N: Hello readers. So as you can tell, I didn't go into major detail for All for One's appearance. There just wasn't much of a need to since Class C wouldn't be as involved with it compared to Deku and co. So instead we're skipping right along to the Provisional License Exam arc. Plenty of excitement in store for this arc so look forward to it.
