With the end of the first match, the teams for each of the three classes gathered back with the rest of the students near the viewing area. All three homeroom teachers were busy critiquing their students who had just battled.

"You had a decent showing at the start, but you took too long in coming up with your next move after you captured Shishida and Koda. That allowed your enemies to take the initiative before you were ready." Yamagori told them. "Now as for your flaws individually, do any of you want to try and guess what they are?"

Alicia frowned. "I need to work on my battlefield awareness. Not only did I fall for Shinso's trick when Lilina got captured, I also focussed solely on Shinso's attack at the end, leaving myself open to Asui."

"I really didn't do much besides knocking out Shishida. Asui had me before I could even react." Lilina said.

Rekka went next. "I failed to realize the enemy's ploy after brainwashing Alicia, letting myself be captured."

"But moi was perfect!" Merci said with a grin. However, that quickly faded when he saw Yamagori glaring at him. "W-Well, perhaps moi was unable to do much after stopping mademoiselle Shiozaki."

"Indeed. You managed to deal with a big threat, but you let yourself get taken out of commission in the process, leaving Tsuki to fend for herself at the end." Yamagori confirmed. "Primarily, each of you were slow to adapt to the ever changing situation. In a real crisis, the villains won't give you the luxury of having time to plan. You must be able to react quickly and constantly be aware of your surroundings."

"Yes, Ms. Yamagori." the four students said.

"That is all. Dismissed." Yamagori said. As her students walked away, she headed over to the other two homeroom teachers, who had just finished critiquing their own students as well.

"So what are your thoughts of Shinso so far?" Aizawa questioned.

"He had a couple low points, but overall he did decently given his experience level." Yamagori admitted. "And he seems to be reflecting hard on how to do better next time as well."

"Indeed. It says a lot that his primary feeling is frustration." Vlad added.

"Depending on his results here, he may end up transferring into the hero course. He's likely eager to show off in his next match." Aizawa said. "In any case, there's still a lot left to go. Go on, Vlad."

"I know." vlad said as he stepped forward. He took a deep breath and addressed the students. "Second round teams to the field!"

Sakura and her team readied themselves. It was their turn to fight. But the class rep for Class 1-C couldn't help but feel nervous as she and her team walked to their starting point, noticing Kendo and Yayorozu chat.

"You know Yayorozu, after we were in that commercial together during our internship days, I think some people have started to put us in the same category." Kendo said. "Our fans have pushed us into a box."

"Into a box?"

"Yeah, it's kinda like how fans think idols in the same group are all alike." Hagakure explained.

"If I'm being honest, your grades and Quirk are both better than mine. It's easy to see." Kendo said. "I wanna be my own hero. Which is why I'm dying to try my hand against you today."

Yayorozu showed an eager grin. "I accept. Gladly. With all of my heart."

Sakura frowned as she heard this. Kendo was the class rep for her own class, while Yayorozu was the vice rep for hers. They had their own rivalry going on, and yet she herself didn't even factor in. It was like she was a side attraction to their main event.

'I can't let things continue like this.' Sakura thought to herself. 'If they don't see me as a worthy rival, then I'm just going to have to prove myself in this match. I know they're both strong, but this is my chance to close the gap between us.'

As the three classes split up, Sakura addressed her teammates. "We don't have much between us in terms of defensive Quirks. So we should instead focus on an all out offensive."

"You seem really pumped all of a sudden, Sakura." Vivi commented. "You alright?"

"Yeah. I just really don't want to lose." Sakura said. "Let's show them what Class C is made of!"

"Sounds good to me." Marcus nodded.

"Indeed. We shall get our class's first victory for today." Kenji added.

After a short further walk, Sakura and the others arrived at their base. Not even a minute passed before Vlad's voice could be heard over the intercom.

"Team Kendo, tear them to pieces! Start the second match!"

"Let's go!" Sakura commanded. She took the lead and the Class C team took off running. Sakura glanced to the ninja of their team. "Kenji, use the shadows and scout ahead. I'm sure Class B will have Kuroiro do the same thing so be wary of him."

"Understood." Kenji said as he leaped forward and dived into the shadow of the pipes. With his ability to travel through shadows, a field like this was perfect for him.

As the three remaining members continued to run, Marcus spoke up. "Any ideas as to which team we should target first?"

"That'll depend partially on what Kenji finds, but I think Class B should be our target." Sakura suggested. "Yayorozu's Quirk is extremely versatile. It's impossible to plan around all possibilities with her. So Class B should have the weaker overall combat strength."

It didn't take long before the Class C team could hear noise in the distance, informing them that Class A and B were currently clashing. Soon after, Kenji reappeared through a shadow. "Kuroiro slipped into Tokoyami's Dark Shadow and is using it to attack Class A. The rest of Class B seems to be waiting to see what happens."

"Then we go after Class B." Sakura decided. "Do you have their location, Kenji?"

Kenji nodded his head. "Yes. They're about one hundred meters to the northeast."

Not needing to say another word, the group took off towards the direction Kenji had told them, with the ninja hero taking the lead. They were quickly closing the distance between them, but about halfway to their destination, they were met with an unexpected development.

A sudden appearance of mushrooms sprouting from their bodies.

"What the heck?!" Marcus exclaimed.

"Ah, they're all over me!" Vivi cried out. "What's going on?!"

"It must be Komori's Quirk!" Sakura realized. "But I never realized she could spawn so many like this." The class rep quickly went to work. Although these fungi were made by a Quirk, they were still fungi and as such Sakura was able to use her Quirk to shrivel them off and prevent more from spawning to a degree.

It didn't stop there though. The mushrooms quickly began popping up all around the area, not just on their bodies. Sakura quickly worked on using her Quirk to lessen their effects. She wondered if this was their plan. To keep her focussed on minimizing Komori's Quirk. But at that point, it would be a stalemate between the two of them. Would they really keep a member of their team tied up just for her?

Sakura's hypothesis turned out to be half right however. Seconds later, Kendo came out of hiding and appeared next to Sakura before anyone of Class C could react. She delivered a painful chop to Sakura with her enlarged hands.

"Sakura!" Marcus exclaimed.

"Boom! Pow! Crash! Kablam!"

The second the series of sounds was heard, giant words of stone popped up out of nowhere, cutting Marcus and the others off from Sakura and Kendo.

"Damn. They split us up." Marcus cursed.

On the other side of the word wall Sakura grunted as she got to her feet. Taking a quick glance around, she quickly noticed two things. Firstly, the area she was in was dark and secluded, away from the mushrooms and thus preventing her from using her Quirk on them.

The second was that she wasn't alone. Standing near her was not only Kendo of Class B, but Yayorozu of Class A.

"Sorry, but I felt it best to cut off the brains of both teams." Kendo smirked. "And now that I've got you both here, all I need to do is defeat you!"

Back on the other side, Marcus, Vivi, and Kenji found themselves with no way to reach their teammate and no way to fend off the mushrooms that were starting to sprout up once again. They didn't do any direct harm, but there was no denying that having mushrooms growing off oneself was both uncomfortable and a little disturbing.

"What do we do?" Vivi questioned.

"There's no point wasting our energy to get to Sakura right now. We'll just have to hope she can handle things on her end and do what we can here." Marcus instructed. He soon caught sight of something and glanced up. "And it looks like we've found our first task."

Vivi and Kenji followed Marcus's line of sight and saw Tokoyami and Aoyama together. The Class A pair had noticed them too and were currently making a beeline straight for them.

"They've got mushrooms on their bodies too, so we shouldn't have to worry about Hagakure sneaking up on us! But keep your senses sharp just in case!" Marcus ordered.

Tokoyami let go of Aoyama as they began their assault. "Aoyama, do it!"

"Of course. Leave it to me." Aoyama said as he activated his Quirk, creating a dazzling beam of light. He spun his body around, causing the light to spread out.

The three Class C students avoided the laser, and Marcus brought out his talons as he leaped up to intercept Tokoyami. He clashed with Dark Shadow, neither side managing to strike a notable blow against the other before they separated and put some distance between them. Kenji took it upon himself to keep Aoyama busy.

'I wanted to save this for the late game. But if Kendo's over on Sakura's side like I suspect, then Tokoyami's the only real heavy hitter left.' Marcus thought to himself. There was no choice. He had to go all out in order to end this fight quickly and prevent his side from wasting time. So he brought out his wings as well and underwent his full transformation.

"Full Wyvern!"

Tokoyami stood on guard. His new move Dark Fallen Angel allowed him to fly, but Dark Shadow also couldn't fight as well during that time. Marcus however had access to both flight and strength with this move. He would need to be careful.

"You're going down, Tokoyami!" Marcus shouted as he leaped forward.

"Dark Shadow!" Tokoyami yelled, his Quirk moving to intercept Marcus.

Due to the large amount of shade around them, Dark Shadow's strength was considerable. Marcus ducked under a swipe before trying to push it back with a slash from his talon, but Dark Shadow barely budged from the hit.

"You may be strong Marcus, but in the dark I still have the advantage in a direct confrontation." Tokoyami said.

"It's clear you've been working hard. I'll give you that much." Marcus told him. "But you're still going down."

"You'll have to get through Dark Shadow first."

Marcus cracked a small smirk. "I never said it would be me who takes you down though."

Suddenly, Tokoyami gasped as he noticed a tiny Vivi speeding at him, getting through Dark Shadow's defenses due to it being occupied with Marcus. As she neared Tokoyami, Vivi returned to her original size and delivered a diving kick to the Class A student.

"Take this!"

"Augh!" Tokoyami exclaimed as he was knocked back.

'Now's my chance!' Marcus thought as he lunged forward to follow up.

However, the fight was interrupted as a loud cry came from Aoyama. "Aiiieeeee!"

All heads turned to see Aoyama getting dragged along from a shadow along the pipe framework. A shadow belonging to none other than Kuroiro. No doubt he was heading back to his team's base to throw Aoyama in jail.

"I'll go after him!" Kenji called out, leaping into the shadows and dashing along before anyone could say another word.

Tokoyami grit his teeth. With Aoyama's capture, he was now alone facing both Marcus and Vivi. The situation was gradually turning against him.

Kenji leaped through shadow after shadow as he chased after Kuroiro. Their Quirks were similar to each other in that both allowed them to move through shadows. But unlike Kenji, Kuroiro had the handicap of dragging Aoyama around with him. At the rate things were going, Kenji would catch up with him before Kuroiro could reach his team's jail. He needed to find a way to give him the slip, but that was much easier said than done.

"I am used to being pursued by the darkness, but not like this." Kuroiro commented.

"I suggest you surrender. You can't escape me." Kenji told him.

"A tempting offer, but I'm afraid I must decline. I don't plan on letting my team down." Kuroiro said. "Though with how our two Quirks work, it would seem we are in a bit of a stalemate."

"Then how about I lighten things up?!" Both Kuroiro and Kenji widened their eyes in surprise as they heard Hagakure's voice. "Take this! Warp Refraction! Say Cheese!"

In an instant, a bright flash of light came and illuminated the dark pipelines Kenji and Kuroiro had been traveling between. The shadows vanished in an instant, forcing Kuroiro out of the one he had been using and causing him to drop Aoyama in the process.

"Merci, Hagakure!" Aoyama called out. "Now I can- Ack!" Before he could say anything further, Aoyama was silenced as he banged his head on a pipe while falling, knocking himself out.

"Ah! Aoyama!" Hagakure exclaimed.

While Hagakure was caught in dismay over her failed attempt to help her teammate, Kenji leaped towards her with impressive speed the second the light died down. Before Hagakure could even react, she had been restrained by Class C's ninja hero.

"Wha?! But how did you find me?! And how can you still see so well after my move?!"

Kenji revealed a pair of sliding shades connected to his headband. "It goes without saying that my natural weakness is those who can create light with their Quirk. So shortly before the Provisional License Exam, I upgraded my costume to help me defend my eyes at least from enemies like those." he explained. "As for finding you, I simply followed where the light originated from."

"Ugh, dammit you got me! But watch where you're touching!"

"That's on you for your choice in costume." Kenji said. He glanced at where Aoyama had landed, noticing both him and Kuroiro no longer present. 'It is unfortunate I was unable to catch them. But at least I managed to capture one enemy.'

Marcus and Vivi outnumbered Tokoyami two to one. But despite that, Tokoyami was proving to be a difficult opponent. With Dark Shadow, it was as if he had a second person with him.

"Go! Dark Shadow!"

Marcus brought up his arms to guard, but Dark Shadow had a slight edge over him in power. He knew he couldn't let this go on. His transformation time had reached about its halfway point. If he couldn't deal a decisive blow to Tokoyami before then, they were finished.

Charging forward, Marcus leaped side to side in an effort to confuse Tokoyami. But when he lunged in for his attack, Marcus found himself intercepted by Dark Shadow once again. Vivi attempted to strike within that opening, but Tokoyami proved he wasn't about to fall for the same trick twice. He evaded Vivi's kick and attacked with a counter.

"Now, Dark Shadow!"

"Right!" the shadowy apparition spoke as it knocked Marcus away and moved to Vivi, ramming into her and slamming her against a pipe.

"VIvi!" Marcus exclaimed as his teammate collapsed and fell unconscious.

"One left." Tokoyami said. "Time to finish this." Pulling Dark Shadow back towards him, he had his Quirk surround his back, almost like a cloak. "Black Abyss!"

Marcus grit his teeth. Now he was on his own against Tokoyami. And to top it all off, Tokoyami seemed to be using some new move designed for close range combat. 'Only about 20 seconds left. Gotta end this fast.'

From the monitoring area, the other students watched as Marcus and Tokoyami began their fierce exchange of blows. Several seconds of silence passed as they could only watch in amazement.

"I can't believe Tokoyami is able to keep up with Marcus in close range combat when he's fully transformed." Shiro commented.

"Well, Tokoyami did do his work study with Hawks." Kirishima pointed out with a grin. "No doubt he learned a lot from that experience."

"It'll come down to whether Marcus can finish this before his time limit." Sarah spoke.

Back in the field, Marcus and Tokoyami continued their brawl. Tokoyami's Dark Shadow seemed to be just as tough as Marcus's scales. MArcus knew he would have to pull out all the stops if he wanted to win.

'I'll have to bet it all on this.' Marcus thought. He dodged a blow from Tokoyami, but to his opponent's surprise rather than attacking he leaped back.

"Giving up?" Tokoyami questioned.

"Not quite." Marcus said as he took a deep breath before firing out an energy blast. "Wyvern Canon Pulse!"

Tokoyami widened his eyes. Marcus had put distance between them to fire off his long range attack. Tokoyami quickly brought his arms up, using Dark Shadow to block the attack, which detonated as it hit him. The Class A student felt his arms go numb, but he was still standing.

"It seems your gambit failed."

"Oh really?"

As the explosion from Marcus's attack cleared up, Tokoyami gasped as he found Marcus standing no more than a couple of feet away from him. The dragon-like hero took his reeled back fist and swung it with all of his might. Having no time to recover in order to block after the previous attack, Tokoyami took the blow in full and was sent flying back. He grunted as he laid on the ground, but soon fell silent as Dark Shadow went back inside him.

Marcus breathed heavily as his body returned to normal, reaching his limit. "Damn, I'm out of gas after that. Guess it's up to Kenji and Sakura now." he muttered. He walked over towards the unconscious Tokoyami. "I can at least take you back to the jail though."

"Twist! Swirl!"

Marcus gasped as solid words suddenly sprang up out from the ground and twirled around him, binding him where he stood. "Ngh, what is this?!"

He soon got his answer as Fukidashi came out of hiding. It was clear the binding had been due to his Quirk just now. Marcus struggled to break free, but he couldn't muster up enough strength.

"Heh, looks like you both used up all your strength in that fight." Fukidashi said. "Which means none of you can muster up any resistance while I take you to jail."

"Dammit." Marcus grunted.

Fukidashi went towards Vivi first. With her being the lightest, she would be the easiest to carry. If he was lucky, he would be able to carry Tokoyami along with her.

However, just as he made it halfway towards Vivi, he was greeted with a surprise attack as Kenji came out from the shadows and delivered a painful chop to the back of Fukidashi's neck.

"What… the…" Fukidashi muttered as he fell over and lost consciousness.

Marcus breathed a sigh of relief. "Man, am I ever glad to see you, Kenji."

"I failed to capture Kuroiro and Aoyama, but I did lock Hagakure in our jail." Kenji explained as he helped Marcus get free. "With these two here, that'll put us at three captured."

"Good." Marcus said. "I'll carry Vivi with me as well. Let's hurry, so we can back up Sakura."

When the match had started, Yayorozu had anticipated that Kendo might try to split her up from her teammates. Catching Sakura in the same trap had been slightly unexpected, but still within her calculations. But right now she had a different problem.

Withstanding Kendo's seemingly tireless assault.

"I don't plan on giving you any time to think!" Kendo grinned as she sent a relentless barrage of punches Yayorozu's way, while Yayorozu could only hold up a series of metal shields she had created with her Quirk to defend herself.

Sakura stood on the side, contemplating what to do. She knew Kendo was no fool. The Class B rep was constantly on guard for any attack Sakura sent her way. And if she gave Yayorozu a chance to do something, Sakura knew there was no guarantee it wouldn't work against her as well.

'Even now, she sees Yayorozu as the bigger threat.' Sakura thought to herself. 'And to be honest… so do I. Dammit!'

However, it seemed Kendo didn't plan on letting Sakura stay on the sidelines forever. She sent a powerful blow to Yayorozu that knocked her back before Kendo turned her attention to Sakura and lunged forward. Sakura tried to avoid the punch, but at the last second Kendo enlarged her hand further, preventing Sakura from dodging.

As she tumbled along the ground, Sakura watched Kendo begin to move back to Yayorozu. Sakura knew the smart move was to take the moment to recover. Let her opponents tire themselves out further.

But she couldn't stand it any longer.

Using her Quirk, Sakura sent a series of vines from her costume forward and wrapped them around Kendo's wrist. Both Kendo and Yayorozu widened their eyes in surprise as Sakura looked at them with a determined glare.

"You two may have worked at the same internship together…" Sakura said. "But as the class representative of Class C, I refuse to be overlooked as a secondary opponent!"

Kendo stared in shock for a brief moment, but soon her expression turned to an amused grin. "Interesting. Let's see what you've got then, Sakura!"

Sakura tugged on her vines and Kendo accepted the invitation, charging forward rather than struggling against Sakura's pull. She sent a punch Sakura's way, but Sakura ducked and slid under Kendo's swing, manipulating more vines as she did so. In an instant, Kendo suddenly found even more vines wrapped around her body.

"What do you think of my ultimate move?" Sakura asked. "Yggdrasil Binding!"

Kendo struggled to break free, but Sakura's vines had a tight grip around her. "Ngh!"

"Not bad, Sakura." Yayorozu spoke, bringing both girl's attention to her. "But I too refuse to lose this fight! So thanks for giving me time to prepare this!"

Kendo and Sakura gasped in shock as Yayorozu materialized a large black object at her side. Kendo was the first to shout.

"A freaking cannon?!"

Sakura quickly brought up her guard to block, but once again Yayorozu surprised them as she fired the cannon in a completely different direction. Rather than a cannonball however, she instead fired what seemed to be some kind of bag over the wall separating them from the others.

'What did she fire?' Kendo and Sakura thought to themselves.

"Now that I've given my teammates on the other side a chance to turn the tides" Yayorozu said as she materialized a staff and charged forward. "I can keep all my attention here!"

Sakura dodged Yayorozu's swing, but she quickly found herself on the defensive. She was forced to disconnect the vines from her costume binding Kendo and put all of her focus into reinforcing her arms with new vines in order to block Yayorozu's weapon.

"You're pretty handy with your plants from a distance." Yayorozu said. "But in close quarters combat, you can't fight as well!" She swung her staff again, but gasped in shock as vines wrapped around it as they hit Sakura's plant gloves. "What?!"

"You're right. I'm not physically strong, so close quarters combat isn't really my specialty." Sakura admitted. "But even still I refuse to let something like that stop me!" She reinforced her arm even further, wrapping more and more vines around it before swinging it into Yayorozu's gut with all her might. "Ultimate move! Botanical Fist!"

"Gah!" Yayorozu grunted as she was knocked back. As she flew back however, she held out her palm and let a new staff extend from it. It kept stretching out, finally striking Sakura in the gut and knocking her over.

Finally, Kendo managed to break out of the vines wrapped around her. However, both Yayorozu and Sakura stayed down. The Class B student breathed a sigh of relief.

"Yayorozu's cannon was already unexpected enough, but I never expected Sakura to put up this much of a fight without any plants other than what she had on her." Kendo muttered. "But at least it's over. Time to meet up with the others and-" Suddenly, Kendo felt a strange sensation throughout her body. Her arms started to feel numb. Her legs were next, causing her to fall to one knee. "What's… going on…?"

Looking closely at her arms, Kendo gasped when she saw several small puncture marks. She glanced over at the broken vines and saw small thorns woven in with them.

'Was there some sort of paralysis poison in those thorns? She mixed them in with the vines when she bound me?' Kendo questioned. Looking over at Yayorozu, she saw similar puncture marks where Sakura had punched her just now. 'She knew she couldn't beat us both so she sought to immobilize us and prevent us from helping our teams afterwards.' Kendo grit her teeth, but couldn't help cracking a small grin as she fell over. 'Well played, Sakura.'

Komori hid herself deep in the pipeline. After spreading out her Quirk to cover the area with mushrooms, her role had been to sit tight and wait for Fukidashi and Kuroiro. The former was running rather late, making her wonder if he had already been captured. The latter was set to arrive any second, once Aoyama was secured in her team's jail.

'Kendo still isn't back yet. But I haven't seen Yayorozu or Sakura either so at the very least it doesn't seem like Kendo's been beaten.' Komori thought to herself. 'We can't afford to waste too much time though. We only have one captured so far.'

A few seconds later, Komori's moment of solitude ended as Kuroiro emerged. "I ran into some trouble, but I successfully imprisoned Aoyama. It seems like Class C got Hagakure though."

"Fukidashi hasn't shown up yet so it may be best to assume Class A or C got him." Komori told him. "We need to make a move. We can't afford to wait for Kendo."

"Agreed." Kuroiro nodded. "I'll scout ahead and survey the situation so we can best plan our next move."

"No need! We'll save you the trouble and come to you!"

Komori and Kuroiro gasped in shock and Marcus and Kenji emerged from above and were falling towards them. "How did they find us?!" Komori exclaimed.

"Kenji must have managed to find us while hiding in the shadows." Kuroiro grunted. "We've got no choice. Komori, time for your trump card."

"Right." Komori nodded as Kuroiro sank into the shadows.

"Leaving your teammate behind. I expected better from Class B." Marcus commented.

To their surprise however, Komori showed a smirk. "Game over."

Suddenly, Marcus and Kenji felt their airways blocked. They stopped their assault and collapsed, struggling to breathe. A violent coughing fit overtook them both.

"What's… going… on…" Marcus spoke in between his coughs.

"Sorry about this." Komori told them. "But you forced our hand."

Marcus and Kenji were helpless to do anything as Kuroiro tied them both up. Once they were fully restrained, Komori let up on her Quirk in order to allow them to breathe normally again.

"What was that?" Marcus asked weakly. "It felt like my windpipe was clogged."

"Komori's secret weapon. She used her mushroom spores to block them." Kuroiro explained.

"I don't like doing it, but it was the only way to win." she explained.

The two Class B students proceeded to lock up Marcus and Kenji, putting them at three captured. But before they could go and search for Vivi, a buzzer sounded throughout the field. Vlad's voice then echoed over the speakers.

"Time's up! Since both Class B and Class C each currently have three people captured, it's a tie!"

The teacher's loud booming voice helped Sakura wake up a bit. "We… tied?"

"Looks like my failure was underestimating you." Kendo said, finally getting some feeling back into her body. "I was so focussed on beating Yayorozu. But it seems you're just as worthy of a rival, Sakura."

"Hardly. All I could really do was stall you both in the end."

"Even that is commendable." Yayorozu added. "You analyzed the situation and did what you thought would be best for helping your team in the long run. It's clear to see why you're Class C's representative."

Hearing the two girls compliment her, Sakura couldn't help but smile a little. Even though her team hadn't managed to win, perhaps she had managed to prove herself just a little and take a step forward. "Thanks. That means a lot."

A/N: Phew. This round took longer to write out than I thought it would. But with this Class C has one loss and one tie. Which class will come out on top in the end? Stay tuned and find out.
