Enjoy :), and for any kind of clarification, I decided to make chapter 1 take place a little bit before the BLACK trailer. I (hopefully), implied that it took around the same day. Thus the thing Blake and Adam had to do. And, Adam hasn't lost it, because, at the time, he was around people like him, and Blake. Thus resulting in him not losing it. Yet. And, I hope people can understand that chapter 1, takes place a few days before the beginning of volume 1. Not too much time, but around 1 week before the beginning of volume one.
Now, let us begin.
Edit: More grammar fixes.
Peter rustled around in his bed, cold sweat running down his face, moving around, before slowly thrashing around in his bed. But, why? Well, it was far too simple.
He remembers what happened on the cold planet. He jumped through one portal, kicking the mad titan. Before jumping off him, and doing it again, before being grabbed, and being slammed onto the floor.
'INSECT!'
And like that, Felicia woke up, she slowly got up from under their bunk beds, looking around the darkroom. The only thing that slightly lit up the room was Peter's iron spider suit. Which... needed to be charged. Luckily, getting a charging box wasn't too hard. All Felicia did, was to call in one of the numerous favors she has, before noticing that Peter was having... what appeared to be a nightmare. She couldn't imagine what it was about, but... she felt some sort of sympathy for him. She didn't know much about him, or barely anything, but... decided to stand up, slowly hold his hand. Something about it was... weird. She felt how rough they were, but at the same time, she could feel how soft they were too. Weird. But as she held his hand, peter's body slowly stopped thrashing around.
Felicia: "Relaxing... isn't it? I bet it is. I wouldn't blame you. I... know-how having painful nightmares feel like. But... I'm here for you. At least, I am, for now..."
Eventually, Felicia's scroll had rung. She let go of Peter's hand, before reaching for it, revealing the caller to be Blake.
Felicia: "Blake? This late? What the..."
Felicia contemplated on whether or not she would answer, but decided to do so. Answering the call.
Felicia: "Blake? What's... going on? What happened?"
Blake: "A- Gone in- Lea- Not com- Join m- Beacon!"
Unfortunately, wherever Blake was, was ruining her signal.
Felicia: "Blake! I can't hear you! What's going on!?"
Blake: "Lea- Meet-"
Felicia: "Meet? Meet where?"
Blake: "Lea- white fa- misguided- Leave now!"
Felicia: "Leave now? What are you doing Blake? Your signal's horrible."
Blake: "Meet me at beacon... leave the fang, now!"
And like that, the connection was finally cut. Seemingly forcefully. Something was wrong, it was disconnected out of nowhere, right at the signal began getting stronger.
Felicia: "What the... What the, hey! My connection was cut! W... Where did you go, Blake...? I should... tell Peter. Or should I? If she left, then... what about Adam? Oh no... this can't be good."
Felicia was a bit worried about what would happen to Adam with the circumstances, that now, Blake was gone. Blake seemed to be the only thing to keep him sane. But wherever she ran to, she ran to somewhere named...
Felicia: "Beacon. She went to beacon..."
Felicia wrote the word down, she had no clue what it could mean. But Blake mentioned telling no one. But... it's not like she was here to stop her from telling, right? When Pete woke up, she would need to tell him. He might know something.
Peter slowly woke up, slowly sitting up in his bed, before stretching his arms up, and moving up and off his bed, but, he felt something hold his hand. He looked down, and saw... a sleeping Felicia next to him, sleeping next to him. While not holding onto his body, she held onto his hand with a firm grip. Peter opened his mouth, before using his free hand to slap it across his mouth. Nothing about the situation was normally weird, but, he had just met this girl. Peter blushed, as he never had too much experience with women.
Peter: "F-Felicia...?"
Peter slowly used a finger to poke her cheek. Her skin was pretty soft, which was something he noted.
Peter: "Soft."
Felicia: "Huh...? What's going on?"
Peter backed up, silently screaming, well, he opened his mouth to scream, but nothing came out.
Felicia: "What's going... Oh. I see now, you're making a move while I sleep?"
Peter: "THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M DOING I SWEAR!"
Felicia: "Relax. It's almost a bit too easy to play with you. Now come on... get up. I've gotta ask you something."
Peter let go of her hand, getting up and off the bunk bed first. He stood up, quickly picking up his iron spider suit, unplugging it from the wall. He looked down at the suit, realizing how heavy it was. Well, not heavy by his standards, he could pick it up with ease. But now the question was how to put it on. Secretly. Or, how to compress it in some way. I mean, that's how it came to him in the first place. By a rocket, slapping itself onto his already pre-existing suit. Mr. Stark could figure out a way to do it, He could figure it out too!
Peter slapped the chest of the suit, but nothing happened. He tried poking around the suit, and nothing happened.
Peter: "Suit! Compress! Compress please? Anything?"
Felicia: "You look embarrassing you know."
Peter: "Suit, I need to hide you, come on!"
Felicia: "Wouldn't it make sense to, oh I don't know, put it on first!"
Peter: "Maybe."
And so, Peter put the suit on, now, trying again.
Karen: "Hello Peter. What would you need help with today?"
Spidey: "I need help to hide the suit! You know, how does it?"
Karen: "Ah. I see, well..."
Peter felt his chest begin to feel heavy, before having the suit compress itself, into a little spider emblem thing. It fit like a decal on his already existing shirt, now filling the white void with his red spider emblem. Now, Peter had a pair of glasses too. Seemingly trying to replicate the shape of his spider eyes, while having the casual aesthetic of glasses.
Karen: "Better?"
Spidey: "Muuuuch better. I love it, Karen!"
Felicia: "Who's Karen?"
Peter: "It's... Uh... How to explain it... It's like an AI! One that helps me in situations. It knows a lot too. And a friend!"
Felicia: "That's kind of sad."
Peter: "HEY!"
Felicia: "Relax Peter. Wait, you said it knows a lot, right?"
Peter: "Of course! You need to know something?"
Felicia: "Yeah. Have you heard of... Beacon?"
Peter: "Beacon? The only beacon I know about is the object. The things are called beacons. I heard they were things in a game called Minecraft."
Felicia: "Minecraft? A game? Well, whatever it is, sounds fun. You should show me sometime. But no, it's not a game. It's a place... Someone told me to go there, and... the only catch is that I have no idea what it is. If it even is a place. It could very well mean something else."
Peter: "Find the... beacon, maybe a light? Find the light?"
Felicia: "Even more vague! Dammit, Blake!"
Felicia slammed her hands on a nearby desk. She was frustrated, more than anything. A beacon. Now that she took time to recall it, she mentioned getting to Beacon. So, it's not a beacon.
Felicia: "Okay, from what she told me, I have to get to Beacon. Which narrows it down to two things. A person, or a place. Think your friend can get anything?"
Peter: "Well Karen? Anything on a 'beacon'?"
Karen: "Well, Peter. I would hate to say it, but something seems to be scrambling my signal. I can't seem to connect to any sort of system. I am out of my element, of course."
Peter: "She can't get anything right now. She doesn't have a system to connect to. Not to mention, something's jamming her signal. Unless you've got some kind of system to connect to, she's got nothing."
Felicia: "Well, that's not surprising... Sienna usually has signal jammers active. To make sure no one, can find a place like this. It's a sanctuary, after all, home base. It's not like you would let someone find out where you live, would you?"
Peter: "No, not exactly. I mean, who would?"
Felicia: "Exactly. No signal goes in or out. Unless it's audio. Or visual."
And some sounds came from outside the room, seemingly sounding like gunshots, before hearing some loud yelling. Before another shot could be heard.
Peter: "What... was that?"
Felicia: "Probably another dumb singular hunter. Thinking he could tear through a sanctuary like this."
Peter: "What a... dummy. What could of idiot just charges in like that?"
Felicia: "Dumb people. Claim themselves to be gods, but aren't invincible to a well-placed bullet."
Peter: "Bullet...?"
Felicia: "Well, to knock them out of course. Nothing too harmful. But yeah, it happens often. It's a bit weird how often they come, but yeah."
Peter: "Moving on..."
Felicia: "Best case would be to wait before we head to the mainland. Then, you can find a communication tower, or... We sneak out, find the biggest one there is."
Peter: "Which is...?"
Felicia: "The Cross Continental Transmit System. It has access to communications all over remnant."
Peter: "All... over? That means... that's huge! But also... massively stupid."
Felicia: "The idea, or..."
Peter: "The whole idea of having it, all of it, in one central place! Why would they do that?"
Felicia: "Who knows, sounds kind of dumb to me, but, for our purposes, let's be happy they did that. Now... I've got a little something for you."
Felicia handed a little piece of paper over to him.
Felicia: "This is a current Map of Remnant. Or well, one of the bigger cities. Atlas."
Peter: "A super fortified flying city... Why do we need this?"
Felicia: "Because. We're going over, to steal a few things. More preferably, something, very, very big. Something that can fly."
Peter: "Wait... Okay, you guys have machines that can fly, but how? I haven't seen anything of power around here."
Felicia: "Well, we do it mostly with..."
Felicia pulled a few crystals out of one of her pouches, glowing with a yellow glow.
Felicia: "Dust."
Peter: "That's a crystal."
Felicia: "Okay, fair point, but we call it to dust around these parts. These little gems may seem small. But let me tell you, they pack a massive punch."
Peter: "Ah... I went to this library, and they described it with the word 'Dust', so I thought it was Powder."
Felicia: "Yeah. Now. Let's go over this one more time..."
Peter: "We head to Atlas."
Felicia: "And find somewhere to find a stable connection to the CCTS, long enough for us to find whoever or wherever this 'Beacon' Is."
Peter: "Yeah... And then?"
Felicia: "Then... what?"
Peter: "Do we just go there? If we go to this beacon, then what? Do we..."
Felicia: "Try and find Blake. See why she even decided to run away from the fang. See if it was either by choice or by force."
Peter: "What if she ran away by choice? What then?"
Felicia: "..."
Peter: "Do you... intend to bring her back? Or..."
Felicia: "I... plan to convince her that she made a massive mistake. And that she needs to come back."
Peter: "But..."
Felicia: "No buts. She... made a mistake. I'm... sure of it."
Peter: "We should get going. Right?"
Felicia: "Right... first thing is a supply run. You're with me. How good are you at hiding?"
Peter: "Uh... I'm decently good, at it. Although some people say I talk a little bit too much."
Felicia: "Hmm... Here's the plan."
Nighttime, now on the mainland, and now in a small huntsman base, not too far off from the ocean.
Felicia: "Here's how we do this... If you can't shut your mouth, the next best thing would be for..."
Peter tapped the spider symbol on his chest, before feeling the spider suit assemble itself over his chest. before moving all around his body.
Spidey: "Alright... what do you think would be the best idea to distract these guys Felicia?"
Black cat: "It's the black cat. What do you think? Better than just saying my name out loud. Right, Spidey?"
Spidey: "I walked right into that, didn't I?"
Black cat: "Yep. Now, a distraction!"
Spidey: "On it... Karen, whatcha got for me?"
Karen: "My best case would be acid web. But turn down the acidity by a notch. Surely making it hurt, but cause enough permanent do manage. What do you think Peter?"
Spidey: "Hmm... good idea... but... I wouldn't want to test it. It could deal massive damage. I'll just work with my enhanced web. Now, the best case would be to go for the joints of the body. Right? Nothing Lethal. Okay... go time."
Spidey jumped out of shadows, before swiftly coming right behind one of the huntsmen, grabbing his mouth, before quickly disarming him, kicking his weapon aside, before beginning to punch him in the face a few times. Before finally throwing him hard on the floor, covering him in webbing.
Spidey: "Phew. Silent takedowns... why don't I do this more often? Oh, wait. It's because I suck with silence..."
Karen: "I can adjust the soles of your suit to massively reduce sound coming from your movements."
Spidey: "Do it then!"
Karen: "But... it won't last long. You can only use it in certain bursts."
Spidey: "Okay... I would need to cut the lights from... there!"
Spidey pointed upwards, towards a lighthouse tower. Someone was up there, with what seemed to be a very powerful sniper rifle. While the suit could take it, doesn't mean it should. Either way, it was still hurt.
Spidey: "The distraction wouldn't go all too well if my insides get spilled on the floor like spaghetti by a sniper. Alright, I guess it's climb time."
Spidey placed his hands on the walls, before slowly crawling up the walls, before reaching the roof, before jumping on it. Spidey looked around, trying to find some sort of cover. Hiding behind what seemed to be a roof turbine.
Spidey: "Somethings don't change... do they?"
Black cat: "Spider! Come on! We're on a strict time limit here!"
Spidey: "Uh... how much time do I have left?"
Black Cat: "Well, I would give you about a good 10 minutes. Hurry!"
Spidey: "Alright alright!"
Spidey grabbed a nearby rock, before throwing it.
Huntswoman: "What the?"
And like that, he made his move. Spidey jumped up, activating his silent soles, before charging at the huntswoman, before dropkicking her, and webbing her mouth. and pulling her right back inside, and kicking her right under her table, covering her in webbing.
Spidey: "Shh... I don't hit girls... so. Yeah, night!"
Huntswoman: "MMMMM!"
Spidey: "The sniper is down. Now..."
Spidey exited the tower, before jumping up, and off the ledge, easily grabbing the attention of the huntsmen that were there.
Spidey: "WHENEVER THERE'S A HANGUP, WHENEVER THERE'S A BANGUP, HERE COMES THE SPIDER-MAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"
And thus, every single huntsman that was there, immediately had their gaze put upon him.
Huntsman: "What the hell is that?"
Huntswoman: "Who knows, shoot him down!"
Bang.
The black cat hid behind a corner, waiting for the signal from spider-man.
Spidey: "WHENEVER THERE'S A HANGUP, WHENEVER THERE'S A BANGUP, HERE COMES THE SPIDER-MAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"
Black Cat: "I... I guess that's the signal."
Black cat continued moving around the small facility, before kicking down a door. Ready to fight, before seeing that no one was there.
Black Cat: "Maybe the distraction is working a little bit too well. Oh well. Now..."
Black Cat took out her scroll, before moving near what seemed to be a laptop. Plugging her scroll right into it, beginning a download.
Black Cat: "All I need are those access codes..."
The black cat needed the access codes for one singular purpose. Which was to access the CCTS. Getting there was one thing, actually using it, and keeping a stable connection was another thing. Black cat paced around the room, checking a watch on her wrist say it's only been five minutes. She tapped the side of her headset, contacting the webhead.
Black Cat: "How are you handling it out their webhead?"
Spidey: "Doing pretty fine! How about you? Done yet?"
Black Cat: "Few more minutes..."
Spidey: "Uh oh. Big go-"
Black cat: "Spider? Oh no. They must've called for backup... And they're here!"
A few huntsmen charged through the door, refloat the ready, looking around, seeing... Nothing.
Huntsman 1: "Clear."
Huntsman 2: "Damn... whoever the hell was here, isn't here anymore. And I was hoping to bash in some white fang heads."
Huntsman 1: "Cool it. What are you, racist?"
Huntsman 2: "Well-"
And the cat pounced. While the huntsmen argued between themselves, the black cat had used the time to activate her semblance. Which allowed her to hide in plain sight. Or as she called it, hiding in the shadows. As it let her hide using the shadows of other people. Temporarily, of course. While a few gunshots could be heard, what was heard more were the screams of the huntsman. After a few seconds, The black cat stood over the duo, disarming them, and practically leaving them for dead.
Who could even survive a slash to the throat? Aura is one thing, but weak spots, like the throat, are another.
Black Cat: "This cat, has claws. And... it's done."
Black cat unplugged her Scroll, before slashing the computer to shreds, erasing all data that was on it. She looked up at a camera that was in the room, before smiling and slashing at it. Destroying it. She tapped her headset again.
Black Cat: "Spider, I'm done. I'm heading your way."
Spidey: "Wait! I'm... having some issues..."
Black Cat: "Oh joy."
Back with Spidey...
Spidey kicked away another huntsman. He lightly panted, his suit having scratches all over it. Having some battle damage. His suit was a bit dirty too. He stood over, before looking around.
Spidey: "How many of these guys are there...? Sheesh! Cat's got the easy job..."
?: "Stop right there big guy!"
Spidey: "Oh great, now what-"
Spidey's... sense, he didn't have a name for it yet, but his sense kicked in, and he could feel that some danger was coming his way before he finally was able to narrow it down, and barely dodge it just in time. As he stumbled backward, he saw... a girl? More importantly, this girl was white. Very white. Her entire outfit screamed 'a snow princess who just hasn't grown out of being a child' just yet.
Spidey: "Uh... okay. And... you are? Are you a cosplayer? Do cosplayers even exist around here or..."?
Weiss(?): "Weiss. And that's all you need to know."
Spidey: "I was going to say Elsa, or something like but sure whatever suits you!"
Weiss (?): "What are you doing here?"
Spidey: "Oh you know, just cruising the neighborhood... you know how it is."
Weiss(?): "Well, from what I'm seeing, you seem to be brutally beating defenseless huntsmen."
Spidey: "Really? come on! They have huge weapons! God, you remind me of that one news guy who never leaves me alone..."
Weiss(?): "Anyways. I've come to take you in! As a huntswoman in training, I've come to apprehend you, and hand you into the police. I swear on my name, Weiss-"
Spidey shot a web.
Spidey: "Neat origin story. But, I don't care. I don't."
Weiss struggled at her mouth for a moment, slowly, and painfully ripping it off.
Weiss: "You... FAUNUS FREAK!"
Spidey: "Wow, uh. Rude. Okay, seeing that it's only you here, I assume you came for a reason? Which would most likely be, to beat me, kill me, or capture me. Which one is it?"
Weiss: "Doesn't matter. All I need to do is stop you!"
And thus, their fight began. Spidey stretched a bit not caring at all.
Spidey: "Look, I'm tired. I just had to fight like, a dozen people, can't we just stop?"
Weiss: "No."
And thus, Weiss raised her sword, rapier? whatever it was before it began crackling with electricity, and began her assault on Spidey, somewhat dodging her attacks. While he was pretty fast, she was also fast. Almost a bit faster than him. As the attacks continued, Weiss finally got a decent stab in. The iron spider armor absorbed the electricity and was able to store the electrical energy.
Karen: "Peter. It seems that the power of the suit has been overcharged to 120%."
Spidey: "Huh. Would you look at that? Hey, didn't this also happen with Mr. Stark and Thor?"
Karen: "It did."
Spidey: "Alright, should I continue dodging or finally go on the offense... Offense."
Spidey dodged under her rapier stab, and put both his hands together, throwing a punch forward, seemingly able to mess with Weiss, quickly pulling his hand back, moving back, and clenching left his fist, before doing a 360 spin to the left, adding momentum to his attack, before punching Weiss in the gut. Not hard enough to break her aura, but hard enough to knock the wind out of her. While it disorientated her, he acted fast enough to disarm her, taking away her weapon, before throwing it away, using the web to hold it.
Spidey: "Disarmed and down. We done here?"
?: "I don't think we are."
Spidey: "Oh come on... now what?"
Spidey turned around, seeing... another Weiss? Wait, no. This one was taller. And looked a bit more professional and not some random person in a cosplaying dress.
Spidey: "Oh! Hello! I'm one of the good guys, I'm just..."
?: "If you were one of the 'good guys' you wouldn't beat on a 17-year-old."
Spidey: "I mean, I'm also 17. So... And hey! Beat her? I only hit her once! At least hard enough to subdue her. And she did start the fight, so it's self-defense."
?: "Hmm... If that's true... what's with the pile of unconscious huntsmen? That is very, very incriminating."
Spidey: "Uh..."
Black cat: "Spider. I'm done. Heading your way."
Spidey: "Wait! I'm having some issues..."
Black cat: "Oh joy. What problems?"
Spidey: "Some... chilly problems. Say, can I get your name?"
?: "No."
Spidey: "Damn. Well, I hoped we could be friends since I am nothing more than your friendly neighborhood spider-man."
?: "Well, you're not going anywhere. and with all of this, it's hard to believe yourself to be 'friendly.'"
Spidey: "Okay, but, I could've easily killed these guys, but... I didn't!"
?: "Hmm... Well."
Spidey: "Well, sorry anyway, gotta go!"
Spidey threw a web grenade at the floor, causing a massive amount of web to go everywhere, covering the area, giving Spidey enough time to getaway.
?: "Dammit! He got away... That's a bit odd. He could've killed the huntsmen but barely knocked them out. Their aura's intact, and no permanent damage is done. What's your angle here spider-man... "
The taller woman, looked around, slowly uncovering Weiss.
Weiss: "Winter! Wait, where did that scumbag go?"
Weiss was smacked on the back of her head, by who could assume to be Winter.
Winter: "What did I say about calling people Scum?"
Weiss: "To not call normal people scum, but-"
Winter: "It includes Faunus too."
Weiss let out a frustrated groan, before picking up her webbed-up weapon, but...
Weiss: "COME ON! WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THIS?"
Winter: "It's... web. here. I'll cut it out."
Winter slashed the weapon free, the weapon itself falling to the floor.
Weiss: "Stupid... spider-man..."
Spidey ran around a tight corner, almost crashing into the Black cat, before using the mechanical legs the iron spider suit had, to stop himself.
Black cat: "What took you so long?"
Spidey: "Uh... ran into some... frosty interruptions."
Black cat: "What's that supposed to mean?"
Spidey: "I ran into this girl whose skin was as white as snow. Her hair was also like that too. And her outfit. You know, with all that white, I think it would be easy to lose her in a snowstorm."
Black cat let out a little chuckle, before running off.
Black cat: "Come on, there should be a small bullhead nearby..."
Spidey: "Gotcha, lead the way!"
Spidey followed but silently took out a scroll... A scroll that he had stolen. From Weiss. Soon enough they had arrived at fully functional bullhead.
Black Cat: "Can you drive one of these?"
Spidey: "Nope. But, I think Karen can. Come on, let's get on."
Spidey entered it, taking the driver's seat before his suit shot out both of his top spider arms. Before going under the controls.
Spidey: "Alright... whatcha got here..."
Spidey began messing with the controls, while Black cat stood there, slowly taking off her mask, and sighing, before falling to the floor. She looked at her hands for a minute. The blood on her hands was a bit... unnerving. She had never killed spilled blood before. Her hands were shaking. She... didn't want to have spill blood but she had to, they would've hurt her as he did.
Like he did. But... even know she finds herself taken back to what... he did to her. All the horrible things he made her do.
Felicia slowly exited the bullhead, trying to find any source of water to clean the blood off her hands. Eventually finding a hose, and rinsing off the blood. Her hands were still shaking before she slowly got on the bullhead.
Felicia: "Are you done yet?"
Spidey: "And... Done! Phew. I haven't tried to hotwire something like this before so... give me some credit!"
Spidey comes out from under the controls, before sighing, his face mask removing itself, before passing a hand through his hair. Sure, he kept his cool throughout the fight but fighting a massive amount of people sure did suck the energy out of him. He grabbed the controls, before beginning to take off.
Peter: Buckle up! We're heading to the mainland!"
Felicia: "Actually... no. Can we not go to atlas just yet?"
Peter: "Really? What's going on? I thought we were going to finish this tonight."
Felicia: "I thought so too but... I don't know. I don't feel too good."
Peter: "Ah... Well, if you want to, I'm pretty sure I can work this thing to take us back to the island."
Felicia didn't speak back but continued to stare at her hands. She washed off the blood but... she felt it still there. Peter noticed this and grabbed her hand.
Peter: "Hey! We made it, didn't we? Sure, the odds were towering, but, we did it! Against all odds our daring heroes made it!"
Peter spoke as if he was a narrator to some comic book. But, it was enough to make Felicia crack a smile.
Felicia: "You're a dork. You know that?"
Peter: "I do. And I'm proud of that fact. So, now can you tell me what's wrong?"
Felicia: "I... it's just some bad memories."
Peter: "Of... what?"
Felicia: "Well... I used to know this... person. Right? And... we were close..."
Peter: "Were you two dating?"
Felicia: "Well, that's kind of obvious. But... This guy... always wore the color purple. The purple suit, purple shirt, purple something. I called him the purple man."
Peter: "Hmm... okay. What about him...? Something... about him is trigging some kind of trauma inside you."
Felicia: "Well... you know how people have... powers here, right? Well... his power was... the worst."
Peter: "It was... useless?"
Felicia: "I wish... but no. If he... told something to you, commanded you to do something, you would be... powerless to resist it. He could make you do anything, against your will."
Peter: "that's... horrifying. You know, I think... I think I know who you're talking about."
Peter quickly stood up, tapping a nearby keyboard a bit, before a face popped up, from Karen's data banks. Showing a man...
Peter: "From the S.H.I.E.L.D. archives themselves. Kevin Thompson, or as he's a better-known name, Kilgrave. The forsaken 'purple man.'"
Felicia's face was horrified. The man on the screen was the exact man that... did things to her. Her mind blocked out those memories but she knew damn well what happened.
Felicia: "That's him. The man who..."
Peter: "Shh... don't say it if you don't need to."
Felicia: "How do you... K-know him?"
Peter: "He... existed on my... Well, where I'm from. He was only stopped by this woman called Jessica Jones. She was... immune to whatever his powers were. How? I have no idea. But, this organization called S.H.I.E.L.D. took whatever data they had on him. The only way to be immune was... Unknown. I have no idea how to stop his powers. The only hint I have is... the fact that like you said, he speaks a command to you, and you can only just... listen. A way to... stop him is to block out any noise. If he can't talk to you, and you can't hear him, it would completely negate his powers."
Felicia: "So... Block out the music and he's got nothing?"
Peter: "Yep. So... Is it safe to assume that... he's the reason you joined the fang?"
Felicia: "Well of course... The white fang has many resources at its disposal so... I sort of took advantage of the fact that I'm a Faunus, and they let me join the cause. Anyway..."
Peter: "Do you have anything on him? At all?"
Felicia: "Well... no. He changed his look. And his name. So... he might a be a bit harder to track."
Peter: "Hmm... that throws a wrench into the works. But... for now, let's get back to base... I do have one more question..."
Felicia: "Another one?"
Peter: "Yeah... are you... loyal to the white fang?"
Felicia: "Well... yes. what about you?"
Peter: "I mean... yeah. Of course, I am."
Peter lied as he spoke. He wasn't loyal to the white fang anymore. He hid the stolen scroll behind his back. Peter stood up and began walking out of the Bullhead. He took out the scroll he stole, and...
Peter: "Karen. Download everything you can off this... phone. If... this is right... then the white fang is the bad guys. And I was lied to."
Peter looks at the scroll, constantly swiping through the files on it, each revealing another incriminating picture of the crimes committed by the white fang.
Peter: "We're with the wrong group Karen..."
Karen: "We are. But it's never too late to get out."
Peter: "Yeah... But, I'm going to play along with it one more time. Get any information, and get out."
Karen: "What about Felicia? I can sense you care about her."
Peter: "I do. Or well, I used to. She's true with the white fang for power but..."
Karen: "You're unsure whether or not she's truly evil. Her story about the purple man seems a bit more truthful than anything."
Peter: "Man... two days here and I'm somehow with the wrong group already... But. I'm going to use it to my advantage. How's the download going Karen?"
Karen: "And... complete. It's done."
Peter: "Alright... let's hope I can blend in one more time."
Peter's mask shifted onto his face. As Spidey looked at his hands.
Spidey: "Alright... going to need a plan."
Karen: "The better question is... are you doing it tonight?"
Spidey: "I don't know... Maybe. But... It's better to create a computer virus beforehand. I caught a peek at their computer systems before. They seem to at the very least share similarities. But the question would be how to upload it. I'm sure they don't use USB sticks around here."
Karen: "What about the phone you stole? I've caught video recordings of people effectively using these are connections to the systems. Give me a while, I'm 100% sure I can make one."
Spidey: "Hmm... Well, it needs to be secret, can't be found out easily. But at the same time, has to work long enough to scan their entire network, and transport data to you. Do you think you can also program it to... Destroy their systems? I don't know how big the white fang is, but it'll surely be enough to do some damage to them."
Karen: "Alright... If we're performing a guerilla-type run, the best idea would be to take out two things. The communications tower they have. It wouldn't be too nice if they were able to call in reinforcements to stop you, would it?"
Spidey: "You're right... it wouldn't. Okay. Here's the plan..."
Felicia: "Hey, are you done over there?"
Spidey: "AH!"
Felicia: "Whoa. You okay there?"
Spidey: "Yeah... Now come on. You wanted to get back to base... so let's do so."
Spidey walked past Felicia, slowly sitting in the cockpit of the bullhead, before waiting for Felicia. After she got in, and sat down, buckled herself in. And like that, Spidey started the bullhead, and they flew off, right back to the island.
Time: 11 P.M.
As the bullhead landed on the floor, Spidey and Felicia got off it. Felicia had a few cheers of some white fang grunts, happy to see that the black cat struck again, stealing another bullhead. Spidey looked around the white fang camp, noticing something, which was that the white fang didn't have much for aerial vehicles. But, they did have a decent amount of vehicles for the water. Boats, boats that seemingly were for transport, and others were for combat. Having massive guns on them.
Peter stood in his tent. Pacing through the room, right and back. He was waiting. It was around midnight, seeing that time works the same as it normally does where he's from. Time is... somewhat on his side. But... Now he was wondering. He had been here for... two days, and now when it came to the people who took him in, he was leaving. But... his thoughts were interrupted by someone slamming the door open.
Adam: "HARDY!"
Peter: "Uh oh."
Adam: "Where the hell is she? Who the hell are you?"
Peter: "Ah well... I... I'm her new partner. Who are you?"
Adam: "Adam. Now, if you're her partner..."
Adam walked over, picking peter up by the collar.
Adam: "Where the hell is she? I got word from a few others around here that Blake contacted her last night. She should know where that traitor is. And I want to know. So either you work with me, or else."
Peter: "Ah. Well... I have no idea! To be honest, I was looking for her too! She's a pretty lousy partner, right?"
Adam: "..."
Peter: "I swear; I don't know where she is."
Karen: "Peter."
Peter: "If I would know, I would tell you."
Peter tried to move his hand over to his chest, trying to activate the iron spider suit.
'Guess we're going for the plan tonight...'
And like that, Felicia herself came through the tent's flaps.
Peter: "Uh oh."
Felicia: "Whoa whoa whoa. what's going on? And why is my room? Come on! Oh. Adam! Hi...?"
Adam let go of peter, casually tossing him aside. Adam then went over to Felicia, towering over her.
Felicia: "Adam."
Adam: "Hardy. Where. Is. Blake."
Felicia: "No idea."
Adam: "A little birdy told me you do."
Felicia: "I have no idea where she is. I have a lead on where she could have gone, but at the same time, I have no idea where she went. All I know is this word. Beacon."
Adam: "..."
Felicia: "I have no reason to lie to you, Adam."
Adam stared daggers at Felicia through his mask, before leaving the room. Leaving the spider and the cat by themselves.
Felicia: "So. That happened."
Peter: "You just told Adam where Blake is."
Felicia: "Not really, like you said, you have no idea where this 'beacon' even is. So all I did was tell him a word. Besides, would it kill us to have some more backup? Adam has issues but, look past those issues, and I know he can be good. Even in the darkness, there can be some light. You never know.
Peter: "I... alright alright. If you say so."
Felicia: "So roomie, got anything you're going to do tonight? Or are you the type to go to sleep right now, like a nerd?"
Peter: "Felicia. I am a nerd. You know this. Besides, don't we have bigger issues to worry about? Where did you go anyway?"
Felicia: "I... went to face some consequences. Since we... didn't ask for permission, Sienna... didn't like that. And..."
Felicia raised her sleeves and showed... three slashes. Three cuts, which were covered with bandages, all on her right arm.
Peter: "Oh my god."
Felicia: "Y-yeah. I'm... kind of used to it by now. It... doesn't hurt as much as it did the first time. Sienna... has been getting a bit crueler, as if she's taking the Fang to war."
Peter: "And... you're still intent on working with them?"
Felicia: "Well... Yeah. They're the only family I have left. Just... like any other family, you have to... get hurt for there to be... some order, right?"
Peter: "That's... so wrong. In so many places."
Felicia: "Well, I'm sorry not everyone has the perfect family. Okay? Not everyone can run around in suits made of metal and be so morally right. Please, share your perfect family."
Peter: "I don't have one. At least, no anymore. These days, all I have is my Aunt. My parents died when I was young. And then I went to live with my uncle and aunt. They began to raise me as their son. And, not too long after that I was... bitten by a radioactive spider. Which gave me all of these powers. And I had no idea what to do with it. So I tried to be a wrestler."
Felicia: "You? A wrestler? No way."
Peter: "Yeah. I was a teen. 15 years old. I just wanted money. I didn't know any better. Around this time... My uncle told me something."
Felicia: "What? Was it something over breakfast? I doubt that your uncle would say something that would change your entire life?"
Peter: "Well, that's where you're wrong. He began telling me something that my dad said. That... if you can do something, better than anyone else, things that you had to offer this world, things that could... help people, even make them feel better about themselves... it just wasn't a good idea, it was... your responsibility to do these things."
Felicia: "And?"
Peter: "Don't try to be something else, or something less. Great things happen in our lives. And... with those great things, come great responsibility."
Peter looked down at his hands. Even doing this for 2 years, those words still echoed in his soul.
Peter: "I had no idea what it meant for a long time. I didn't. But one day, as a wrestler, I... made the mistake of not stopping this... one person, some guy with a gun. Came to rob my house. My uncle tried to stop him, and like that, he was gone. Do you know the more painful part? I went after this guy, pure hatred in my heart, and when it came down to it, I found out that the murder, was the same murder I encountered. I just let him pass me. Not my problem. And then, I finally knew what he meant."
Felicia: "Yeah..."
Peter: "I was given powers for a reason. A gift. These are a gift given to me, and I won't put that to waste. Especially not here. Not with the White Fang."
Felicia: "What are you saying?"
Peter: "You know what I'm saying. Or maybe you've been lying to me."
Felicia: "Lying? Why would I lie to you? And about what?"
Peter: "The white fang's true motives. That they're a terrorist organization! They don't help people, they kill, slaughter, the whole shtick! I got all of that, off a scroll I stole. Showing every single crime they've committed. If you can think this is a family, you've... got something wrong."
Felicia: "Peter. Stop. Stop. Okay? Just stop!"
Peter: "No! Why would I stop! Felicia. I'm asking you, as the only person who I've met and has been nice to me so far, I'm begging you. Escape with me."
Felicia: "Escape is impossible."
Peter: "Felicia. Please."
Felicia: "Please? Please what? Do you want me to abandon the only family I have? Don't make me do that Peter."
Peter: "Felicia."
Felicia: "What!?"
Peter: "Just... come with me. I know what happened with the huntsmen. You can't live having blood on your hands!"
Felicia: "I... Fine. Fine fine fine! I'll go with you. But you better have a good plan to escape."
Peter: "Luckily, I do. Now pack your bags. We've got to get out of dodge."
Felicia: "What."
Peter: "Really? Oh, come on! man, no one around here understands my references... anyways, it just means we've got to go. As soon as possible."
Felicia: "Lead the way."
And like that, the second chapter is done! First off, let me clarify.
Weiss and Peter's fight didn't end in a K.O. neither of them won, but, all Peter did was disarm her.
