And like that, we've finally entered Volume 1! Of course, it may have taken a bit longer than it should have, but oh well!

Now, a few things.

A kind of thing I've decided to make canon is that Ruby left the day before, the beacon orientation, and thus, her encounter with Roman. But now, she spent her time watching Peter, thus the encounter never happened. At least, the way it does.

Also, it looks like everyone does like how I made Sienna. (I think I could be reading this very wrong.)

But, seeing as everyone keeps asking for it, I'm deciding to make this chapter have a different format. Instead of (character name): "(words)", it's going to be, "(words) spoken by (character). Reminder, I never have any idea what I'm doing. At least, I'm a bit unfamiliar with the style.

Edit: I decided to, at the very least, finish this entire chapter, I only cut it in half to see what people think. Seeing that people enjoy it, I like it.

Also, don't ask about the villains. Especially since most of Spidey's villains aren't even in the damn MCU (thanks Kevin), so, of course, I've got an idea. I already know what I'm probably going to do with them. Note for variants. (They're not all variants, by the way, so it's not going to be a cop-out.)

RWBY belongs to Roosterteeth

Spider-man belongs to Marvel.

"So... this is beacon academy, right?" Peter said a bit confused more than anything. Who was standing next to... Ruby and Yang.

"It is. Its nickname is 'the shining beacon.' But, maybe it's a bit too cliche." Ruby seemed like she was going to continue but then had her focus taken away by the passing students, all of them seeming... unique in some way. One student had a flaming sword, another had... Well, Peter tried to keep up with Ruby, but soon lost himself in her eyes. Thankfully, he didn't have to worry for long. As Ruby almost followed some other people, was quickly taken back to where Yang and Peter stood.

"Woah! Hold it, Ruby. Say, why are you admiring weapons so much? Aren't you already impressed with your own?" Yang tried her best to bring Ruby from an 11 to about a 5 in excitement. Peter also raised his eyebrow, questioning on... why people were casually carrying weapons.

'People around here carry weapons more casually than... what I expected. Maybe I... got a bit too confident in myself.'

"Of course I'm happy with crescent rose! It's just that... I like seeing new ones. It's like meeting new people, without the awkwardness." Ruby spoke, but... sounded a bit off about it. But, this wasn't gonna last for long as Yang quickly pulled Ruby's hood over her head.

"Ruby, please. Look, why don't you try making a few friends! I mean, actual friends. Not with their weapons, but with the people!" Yang spoke, of course, wrapping around Ruby, trying to cheer her up.

"Why would I need friends when I have you? And Peter?" Ruby looked at Yang before her eyes shifted to Peter, who didn't notice, and awkwardly waved a hand.

"Well, actually my friends are already here! Gotta go! Peter! Keep an eye on her! Don't do anything duuuumb!" Yang yelled, before being carried away by... shadowy silhouettes. Unfortunately, this left Ruby dazed, spinning around, almost about to fall, before Peter quickly stabilized her.

"Watch out Ruby! You never know when-" Peter was quickly caught off guard, as his forsaken spider-sense began to tingle, pushing Ruby away, as he fell backward onto... a pill of white crates.

"Ugh... come on man... Wait, what? These are just boxes. Why did my spider-sense tingle...?" Peter then heard a voice and realized why his spider-sense activated. It detected danger, and danger was speeding towards the wallcrawler.

"HEY! WATCH IT! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT KIND OF DAMAGE YOU COULD'VE DONE?" Came from... a voice that was familiar to Peter. But... for all the wrong reasons. As Peter turned around, the person in front of him was Weiss. Last name... unknown, at least to him. He had previously had an encounter with Weiss, which ended with him disarming her, and running away. But in his mind, he won that fight.

"Huh? Oh no. It's you... besides, what the hell could be so important that is inside these boxes?!" Peter wasn't exactly all that excited to see Weiss, as any normal person would be seeing someone who previously tried to kill him. Nonetheless, he couldn't say anything about that fight. His secret identity is a thing.

"What is so important is this! Dust. All mined, purified, and crafted into these jars by these jars by Oscorp! Is any of this sinking in yet?" Weiss continued her rant, but the thing that actively grabbed his attention was the Company's name. Oscorp... But then he remembered where it came from.

Late 2015. Oscrop tower, Manhattan.

Peter walks through the labs of Oscorp, looking around, taking a few photos here and there. He's joined with the rest of his class, and his best, and only friend, Ned Leeds.

"Dude! Could you believe we were able to come?" Ned talks with excitement, before looking over to a nervous Peter Parker. Still wearing the glasses he needs to see with.

"Uh... Yeah. It's pretty amazing actually, everything here is so... high-tech. It's... comparable to Stark Enterprises..." Peter spoke, with a hint of nervousness to her voice. But, then, something happened.

"GAH!" Peter screamed as he raised his hand, a spider on his hand, biting it. Little trails of blood coming off it. Before smacking it away, Ned stepped on it, killing it.

"PETER! Are you okay!" Ned rushed over to Peter's side, trying to help his friend as he noticed him fall onto the floor, unconscious. Ned tried shaking Peter awake, but it was no use.

"You said, Oscorp, right? The one run by... Norman Osborn?" Peter looked at Weiss with intrigue, but at the same time, a hint of anger. If it wasn't for that damn spider bite, he could've been living a normal life, with his normal friends, and not some other backwater world with people who have tried to kill more time than he would be comfortable with.

"Yes. Do you know who you're talking to?" Weiss began to speak with pride, before being cut off by... another familiar voice.

"Yes, she is. One of the three heirs to the Oscorp company. Isn't that right... Weiss Schnee? Not to mention, accompanied by her two brothers. Harry, and Whitley." Blake slowly entered the screen, only to Peter's concern. But, of course, it was shadowed over the fact that Weiss' last name was Osborn. Now, that was surprising to Peter. Not only was Weiss a... heiress? But she also had two brothers. Harry Osborn and Whitley Schnee?.

"Wait, if you're the Heiress to Oscorp, shouldn't your last name be Osborn? Or is this whole thing a bit more complicated?" Peter replied, oddly intrigued.

"Well, if you're that interested in my family history, maybe you can ask me later. Now, on paying the broken-" Weiss began to talk before Ruby began to huff, and puff.

'Well, maybe she's not that bad... wait, spider-sense? Where?'

Peter quickly looked around, seeing the dust in the air, said dust, going to ruby, as she huffed, and sneezed, causing a minor explosion. Peter coughed a little, trying to get his vision back, seeing that the explosion caught him, Ruby, and Weiss in its range. Pete tapped parts of his body, checking if all the parts of his body were still there.

"Head, fingers, legs, hey, would you look at that, I'm alive!" Peter sighed with relief, and while the ringing in his ears began to fade away, he looked to see Ruby getting yelled at by Weiss.

"YOU GODDAMN DUNCE!" It was obvious that Weiss was pretty angry, and Peter could understand where she was coming from, but unknown to her, Peter quickly grabbed a vial of the red dust. Quickly hiding it in his hoodie pocket. Then, he intervened.

"Okay okay... let's relax here, please? It's the first day, and hell! Who knows, you two might not have to see each other for the rest of your lives! Now, we should go! I'll pay for this!" Peter pleaded, of course, he did... sort of care, but he was mostly tired of the two fighting as much as they did. Explosive temper is never good for either of them. Peter quickly grabbed Ruby, dragging her away. Leaving only Weiss.

"WHY YOU! Ugh... maybe he's right. Whatever." Weiss sighed, before walking off.

"Alright, so. What was that about crater face?" Peter questioned, with Ruby having her head down.

"Hey, I didn't want- wait, what did you call me?"

"Crater face. Seeing as you made a small crater. And because it blew up in your face. I will admit, it was pretty funny."

"Oh, you suck! Ugh! I didn't mean to! Now Weiss hates me!"

"Hey. Relax. Like I said, who knows, you may never see that girl again."

"I mean, I sure hope so... after that horrible first impression, it really can't get worse from here onwards..."

"That's... the spirit? I don't know. Anyways... I do have a question. You did make your weapon right? Crescent... rose?"

"That's right! This beauty is made by yours truly!" Ruby smirked, before pulling her weapon out. Ironically standing taller than herself.

'That sure turned her mood around. She sure does like her weapons.'

"Wow. Well, I suppose, could you look at this?"

Peter took out the remnants of his broken iron spider web-shooters. While the iron spider suit could repair itself, without the proper nanotech, it was out of commission for now. All that was left for now was this. The web-shooters.

"What are... these?"

"These are... my weapons. They shoot out... lines. Of a sticky material that lets me swing using them."

'Okay. What a great way to actively say, hey! These are my web-shooters. I have no idea where to find tools to fix them. Please help.'

"Really? Here, give me them..." Ruby began to inspect them, moving the web-shooters around, mumbling to herself about every little detail, before looking right back at Peter. Glaring at him even.

'Uh oh... please don't-'

"You know Peter. I gotta say, you almost fooled me there for a moment."

"I... r-really?"

"Yeah... I almost bought the fact that you're some shy nerd. But really, you're really smart! I mean, wow. These are pretty advanced! It's like it's a self-replicating tool! I gotta Peter, how'd y do it?"

"O-Oh! Y-you know it is! An m-magician never shares his secrets!"

"Oh, you jerk! Fine, fine, but you better show me someday!"

"You know it! So... my only question is do you know where I could fix this? The parts are a little hard to find."

"Well, there might be a fabrication machine here. There's one at every academy. You can make the parts you need there. Of course, if you have the dust of course."

"Lucky for me I do. Don't tell Weiss, but I snatched this piece off of her. It's... red, So... Yeah. Alright, well I'll be off!"

Peter took back the web-shooters, before walking away.

"WAIT! PETER! WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GO?!" Ruby shouted for the web-slinger, but he was far gone. Alone again, she decided to follow the crowd.

Peter walked through the halls of beacon, somewhat admiring the parts of the hall. It was empty for now, but most likely to accommodate the incoming students. Not before arriving at, or well, what he found seemingly looked like a library. Not before long, he was lost. But, he felt a hand on his shoulder, turning around to see...

"I don't think you should be here." The woman stared at Peter, but sort of stared down at him. Not by much, but by a little. Peter looked at the woman, blonde, green eyes, wearing heels, and... also had a small cape that was a little torn at the back. But maybe that was on purpose.

"Uh... Hi... Ms...?"

"It's Professor Goodwitch. Now, you seem to look like one of the incoming students. Is there something you need?"

"Ah... yes I do. I was looking for the fabrication machine? I was told there was one on campus."

"Yes, there is. Is there something wrong with your weapon?"

"There is. It's... sort of shattered right now."

'Time to dive...'

"Here you go." Peter sighed, before shakily taking out his broken web-shooters.

"Hmm... I see. Do you have a piece of dust on you?"

"I do."

"Well, the fabrication room is down that hall, first door on your left." Professor Goodwitch pointed to a nearby hallway, and of course, the corresponding way to go.

"Ah! Okay, thank you very much."

"Now. Don't take too long. The fabrication machine does most of the work, but you do have to put any effort into it. Now, don't take too long. Orientation starts soon."

"Got it. Where do I go for it?"

"The main hall. You'll know where it is. And... What is your name, student?"

"Ah... Peter. Peter Parker."

"Hmm. I may not be as well of a people reader as Headmaster Ozpin, but... there's something off with you. Now run along. Don't be late."

"Alright..." Peter walked off before Glynda sighed a bit. Rubbing her eyes.

"I'm getting too old for this..."

As Peter entered the fabrication room and saw that... the machine was a bit smaller than he would've expected. As he placed his web-shooters to the side, the machine began to show... schematics for spider suits.

"What the... is this data from the iron spider suit? Wow... Mr. Stark sure got... busy designing these suits. I guess he wasn't lying when he said he wanted to put a suit around the world... Now, can this thing fix the iron spider suit or what?"

Peter messed around with the machine for a bit, before realizing that... this machine doesn't create nanotech. Peter tried over and over again, but all that came out were... Well, anything but pretty to say the least.

"Well, if this thing can make whatever it needs to make, well..." Peter sighed, before cracking his knuckles, and getting to work. The first thing on the chopping block, was trying to replicate whatever granted the iron spider suit the ability of infinite webbing. As well as making it bulletproof.

"After seeing the weapons on display today, it seems that I'm not the only one who has a bit of preference for ranged attacks." But the suit wouldn't work with him. Infinite webbing, no more. But that was fine. Peter adjusted for it, while still using the design of the golden web-shooters, he added the features from his previous suit. Rotating web cartridges, so that if he can't manually recharge his shooters, it could do it automatically. Of course, given if he still has webbing on him. He adds web cartridge refills on the sides of his suit, to make sure he has them at all times. Something he added was the ability to fuse dust with his webs. Now, the color scheme began to dawn upon him. What about the color...?

"Hmm... I got it!" Peter added the usual colors but changed them around, a dark right, with a dark blue. Making them each serve a specific purpose. The red would be where the more armored parts of the suit belong. Making the red a large amount of his chest, arms, heads, and boots. Making the rest of the suit blue, making it a material that is much more flexible, easy to move around. But now, the suit's chest symbol. He could go back to basics with it, or use the iron spider's design... but maybe something different would be nice. He used the stark suit's spider logo, and instead of making it black, he decided to make it blue.

"And tada! Now, do your magic!" Peter inserted the vial of dust, and thus, the suit began to be created. Peter stared at its work and noticed a few interesting details. This fabrication machine, while seemingly used to make simple designs, can make the spider suit to perfection. After about 20 minutes, the suit was created.

And thus, spider-man was born again. As Peter put on the suit, he realized how beautiful the suit truly was. Everything fits perfectly. He stretched, and turned right back to the fabrication machine, seeing that it had a bit of dust left, decided to make some web fluid. What he didn't expect, is that the webs would have a fiery characteristic. Not causing fires, but it would surely burn whoever was hit by it though. But it could still be used at web lines to help him swing.

Peter eventually put his clothes back on, hiding his suit under his clothes, and the mask inside his pocket. As he walked out, he looked around, trying to make sure no one followed him. Seeing the coast was clear, he walked out, realizing that... he spent hours in there. It was night already. As he left the building, he looked around trying to find... someone. Anyone. But, eventually, he was lucky enough to see lights in a nearby building, as he walked there, he felt a hand land on his shoulder.

"AH!" Peter quickly turned around to see... Someone. He had no idea who this person was, but he had an odd appearance to him. He wore glasses, had pure white hair, and his outfit mainly consisted of dark green.

"Ah... you must be Mr. Parker."

"And you must be... the enigma!" Peter replied, trying to mock the fact that... the person who stood in front of him, if a foot or two smaller, would look exactly like a leprechaun. But he would never tell him that.

"The... who?"

"Nevermind... you wouldn't get it. now... who are you?"

"Oh, well I'm nothing more than the headmaster of this academy."

"Oh," Peter said it with nothing but an odd fear in his eyes, and a bit of... concern. Something about this guy was... making his spider-sense slightly, very, very slight tingle. Something about this guy was... terrifying.

"So... now. I'll ask you a question, and be honest."

"Yes..?"

"Do you know where you're going?"

"Uh... not really."

"Then why are you here?"

"I'm... trying to not spend too long here. I... want to go home someday. And I feel like being here can bring me just a step closer."

"Hmm... alright then. Well, the rest of the students are in that building over there."

"Got it. Thanks." Peter walked off, not before making his way to the building.

Ozpin sighed. Before pulling out what seems to be a tablet. Looking up the words, Parker, Peter. And to his surprise, finding zero results.

"Hmm."

As Peter entered the building, he had found Ruby, who was talking a bit with Weiss. Who... had more than an annoyed look on her face. But, not downright hatred. Joined with them is Yang, who attempted to get something out of Blake. Peter sighed, before walking through other students, before... scarring Ruby from behind her.

"Boo!"

"AH! Oh... it's you, Peter! What the heck? You left me completely alone at the orientation!"

"I... got busy."

"Oh really, with what?" Weiss added on, an eyebrow raised.

"Ah.. well..."

"Come on Petey! Show us the results!" Yang joined in, which got a rise out of Blake. Who looked up from her book.

"Ah... well, it's not much, but it's these."Peter raised the sleeves of his hoodie to reveal the web-shooters, or to them gauntlets. Blake simply looked right back at her book, while Ruby looked like she wasn't that far from drooling, and Yang well...

"Hey! You jerk! You copied my design for my gauntlets!"

"Ah! Well... not really? I mean, had these gauntlets way before I had ever met you, Yang. So... can't say I copied what you've made."

"Alright alright... but if those gauntlets start shooting shotgun shells, I'll sue!"

Yang looked away from Peter, choosing to rest her head down, And ruby began... to note and say, every single complex detail to Peter's web-shooters. Weiss had got... annoyed.

"Okay. We get it already, it's pretty impressive. Now can you all just.. quiet down and go to sleep?" Weiss rolled over, laying on her... camping bag?

"Okay! Okay! Peter! you have to let me try those things out!" Ruby whispered, before laying down on her bed too.

"Alright, someday."

'When I can trust you, maybe I'll let you know my secret.'

Peter tried to get comfortable on the floor, but... it wouldn't work.

It was now what could be considered midnight. Peter couldn't sleep. But... he saw that something near him, as he opened his eyes, he saw a shadow move away from him. But... he quickly noticed that... someone was trying to find something on him. He looked at his chest, and his hoodie had a bit of a cut, not too deep, but deep enough to barely see the spider suit. He quickly got up, trying to look around, and finding... nothing. He silently ran outside, seeing... someone he didn't expect to see.

"Well... since you wanted to know, ask away." Weiss stood there, wearing her pajamas.

"Ah... well... I didn't know you were serious about that."

"It's fine. I don't mind too much. Seeing that most of this info is readily available on the internet if you look hard enough. So. What do you want to know?"

"Well... how could a man like Norman Osborn be your... step-father?"

"Well, it's pretty simple. N... Not too long ago, my actual father, Jacques Schnee was arrested for charges that we all knew he would've been caught for eventually. He wasn't the best of people. A monster even. An abuser. But for some odd reason, my mother loved him. So... after he was arrested, my mother... took a turn for the worse."

"OH my god, I'm so sorry." Peter tried to comfort her, patting her on the shoulder. Before Weiss quickly brushed it off.

"I appreciate it. So. With my mother in control of the company, and being at her lowest, it didn't take that much effort to make her easily fall head over heels for someone. And the person that did make her fall was..."

"Norman Osborn. Hmm..."

"Yep. I'm not too... sure as to why he actively went after my mother. But, afterward, he bought the company and absorbed it into his own. So now it's a subsidiary of Oscorp."

"Ah... I get it. Well, I have to ask at this point, how do you feel about it?"

"Why do you care? We just met."

"Well, because I like to think I'm getting a bit better at reading people. And I can... sort of see that you don't exactly like it all too much."

"I mean... I'm not too sure how I feel about it. Sure, my father wasn't... the best. I feel like I can call him a monster at some points. But Norman... there's... something up with him. I can't understand him. But... as far as I know, he... cares about us like we're his kids."

"Oh wow. I can't believe it. So... Do you trust Norman?"

"I mean... for right now I do. His son, Harry, isn't too bad either. But... It's still a new thing to me. So it's a bit hard to get used to."

"Well... I mean, if you feel okay with it, I suppose that's fine. Thanks for sharing it with me."

"You mean, thanks for explaining your entire history to a random stranger? If so, then no problem."

"Hey! Alright alright... Well, what do you want to know about me? You want my backstory too?"

"Yes. You don't have to say any names. I just... would like it to be fair."

"Well, I guess that's fair. My parents died when I was young. Supposedly it was an accident... I'm not too sure about it, but I still haven't found anything that proves that. And so my legal guardians become my aunt and uncle. They practically treated me like I was their on, and I grew up with them. So... a while ago. I didn't have any powers. I wasn't strong, fast, or anything like that. I was just... a normal guy. And then I was given powers. And of course, I tried to use it and make a quick buck. I... ignored my uncle's warning about... Power and Responsibility. Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should. With great power, comes great responsibility." Peter felt... a warmth come over him.

"Oh... I can relate to how you feel. Your uncle sounds like a good man."

"He was. In my opinion, he was the best out of all of us. And so now I'm here. Every day, I'm trying to make good by his last wish. He didn't want me to be selfish. He always wanted me to do what I believe is the right thing."

"Wow... I'm so sorry Peter. But... Thank you for sharing with me."

"You too. I didn't intend to come off as annoying, or anything like that. I'm just trying to do good by... a man who was like my father."

"Well... I'm going to bed now. You should too. Pete."

"Sure thing... Ice Queen."

"Hey! I'm not that cold."

"So far you are, but hey. Maybe it takes friendship to melt a frozen heart." Peter gave Weiss a warm smile, which Weiss... reciprocated. As Weiss went back in, Peter stayed out for a while more. Breathing in the fresh air.

"Alright, Pete. Go you. Made a friend today. I think." He sighed.

'Why can't I get Sienna off my mind? Wait no. I didn't mean it like that. I mean she did have a fire to her- Nevermind. She still tried to kill me. But still. In... the worst case she comes back to kill me, I have to get better. But at the same time... I have to gather allies. So far, I've got Ruby, Yang, and... Weiss? Maybe.'

Peter took a deep breath, before exhaling. He appreciated the beautiful night sky for a moment, then slowly began to make his way inside, before seeing... a nearby city. What he assumed to be the city of Vale. But... a line of smoke was coming from it. Something bad was happening.

"This... looks like a job for..."

Peter quickly removed his clothes, putting on his spider mask, and webbing his clothes to the wall. Before beginning to crawl up the wall, standing on top of the building, before shooting a web upwards, climbing the tallest tower the academy had. Before taking a deep breath, and jumping off, using the nearby building to web sling off of, and actually... laughing. He loved the thrill of this, to be honest.

"Vale... hope you're ready to meet... THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN!"

As spider-man began to glide back to the city, he got closer and closer, before landing on one of the rooftops. He was surprised to see where the smoke came from. It was a building on fire. So, he took a deep breath.

"Karen, are you here with me?" Spidey tried to call Karen, hoping that she was transferred along with the web-shooters.

"I- I- I'm... Peter?"

"Karen! Phew... Glad to see you're still here. Okay, can you easily still access the features of my new suit yet?"

"New suit? Must say, Peter. I'm impressed. So would the boss."

"You... Do you think so? Wait, no. Praise later. I tried to implement an X-Ray vision in the suit. So, let's see if it works..." Spidey tapped the side of his head, before having the lenses of his mask shift. Now, he was looking through the building.

"Alright... One... oh no. There's an entire family there! Alright, here I come." Spidey jumped into the air, shooting a web line, and before web swinging to the burning building. But from down below, nearby cops, and firefighters began to look up, as well as the rest of the civilians that were about to escape. Before seeing Spider-man bust into the building.

"Dammit... the flames are beginning to mess with my X-Ray... HELLO!? IS ANYONE HERE?!" Spider-man screamed, trying to find them, anything. Before hearing... someone yells get lost.

"Get lost! Get lost!"

"Sorry, I can- Huh." SPider-man was disappointed to see that... It was a simple parrot in a cage yelling at him to get lost. A few moments, and a broken window later, the parrot slowly descends to the ground, with a web parachute. As Spider-man continued to look around, he took a deep breath.

"Air filter is working... good. Now." Spider-man placed a hand on the wall.

"Here goes nothing..." As spider-man tried to focus his spider-sense, he tried to feel the building. Ignoring the burning flames around him. And then, the little bits of movement. Two larger civilians try to get out, one attempting to remove something that was blocking their way, while the other one trying to hold the body of a smaller person. The civilians attempted, as one fell to her knees. Acknowledging what they both knew was incoming...

"HI! PLEASE GET OUT OF THERE!" Spider-man yelled, trying to get the attention. CArrying the burning debris in his hands. Worst-case scenario, third-degree burns. But with his aura, it actually made it a bit easier to ignore the pain.

"Who are you?!" The civilian attempted to shield the other two, a panicked look on his face.

"Why I'm your friendly neighborhood spider-man! NOW MOVE!" Reacting fast, spider-man quickly threw the debris in the air, long enough for him to web it up to the ceiling. He had to move fast. He picked up the woman in one hand, the child in another.

"Please. Get them to safety. I beg you." Spider-man tried to say something but instead nodded. As he jumped out the window, he quickly shot a web line up, before landing on nearby paramedics.

"Get them help! Now! And get ready for one more!" Spider-man quickly wall crawled right back up, before looking through the window, seeing that the civilian he left behind was ready to accept his death.

"No, not this time!" Spider-man shot a web line at him, before pulling him out of the building, right on time. As the building collapsed on itself, and spider-man, did a typical superhero landing. Before placing the civilian down. And the building collapsed. Spider-man panted a bit, before standing upright. A lot of people surrounded him. All of them whispered to each other.

"Uh... well. Sorry for not stopping that building from collapsing. I sort of arrived late, and... Everyone's staring at me." He wasn't wrong. Everyone was. Before... A news reporter came up to him.

"You! Who are you..? Better yet, what are you? Are you some kind of superhero?"

"Well... yeah! I'm just your friendly neighborhood spider-man. I'm just here to help. And yeah... I guess I am a superhero."

'And the crowd goes...! Silent. Huh. Okay, didn't expect that.'

So, spider-man shot a web line up, and swung away. And so, he spent his night like that. Helping out people here and there. Or at least... trying to. But... his night got interesting when he ran into a store mugging.

"Store mugging... Oh no." Spidey quickly went onto the roof and entered the building through the ventilation ducts.

"Convenient enough for me to fit in. Pretty neat." As he crawled into the store, he... noticed the... colorful outfits?

'Woah... uh... ok. So, I'm not one to judge, but... what are these guys wearing...? Top hats and... far too small eyeglasses. Yikes... they all look the same too. Black suits, red ties. Hmm... Might be mafia at best. And... the boss sticks out like a sore thumb. Whitecoat... orange hair, and... eyeliner? Well... I don't judge. I'll hide and see what happens...'

Spidey immediately regretted this though, as not a second later the 'boss' pulled a gun out.

"And there's my cue! Come on guys, why are you robbing this place anyway? What, does the business owner have lousy customer service?" Spidey jumped up, attempting to clear out the store. So, he was about to kick a thug out through the window. And leaped outside, webbing him to the floor.

"Now sit there, and think about your actions, why don't ya?" Spidey smacked him on the head, before looking behind him.

"Well, don't just stand here, get him!" And like that, the fight begins again. Or... sort of. Spidey jumped onto a nearby lamp pole, using his webs to pull one of the guys towards him. The other two ground tried to slash at spidey, but... missed, and instead hit the thug spidey was holding onto. Although, Spidey was using him as a human shield. Not before long, spidey stole one of the thug's swords and threw it at the second thug. Of course, it did cut him, but didn't kill him!

"So, it'll hurt, buuut you won't die. Now, you're the last one left. You just saw me use your teammates and pinned them against each other, you think you can win this?" Spidey stared at the last thug, and he ran away.

"Wow... you guys were really worth your money. You were. Now, you. Spider-man, was it?"

"How do you know my name...? I just-"

"News travels fast in the criminal underworld. Now... you're some kind of superhero... right? Well, there is a reason why you haven't seen other heroes, and it's pretty simple. This town isn't a place for heroes. So, time for our dance to end." The boss pulled up his cane, and... Spidey shot a web ball at the hole in the cane, causing it to jam.

"Well now. That's irritating. You... are very irritating."

"Why thanks! I have a knack for that." The boss was... pissed off. As he threw a dust shard at spidey, which sent him flying into a nearby store.

"Ugh... ow. Okay, that sucked. Wait, who puts some girl's face on a box of cereal?" Spidey picked up one of 'Pumpkin Pete's Cereal boxes.

"Anyways... back to the action." Spidey leaped out of the building, but in the dust and smoke... the guy got away. Before Spidey quickly looked around, lucky to have seen the guy was... going up a ladder?

"Old fashion... but okay... Say, you're fine here right? And... sorry about the window."

The shop owner grunted, but shooed Spidey away, and so began. pursuit, spidey wall crawled up the stairs, before reaching the roof.

"Why are you so persistent? but oh well. It doesn't matter..." As Spidey readied his web shooter, a... bullhead came before them. And the boss was fast to get on it.

"End of the line spider-man! As I said, this town isn't very welcoming to superheroes. So do yourself a favor! quit while you're ahead."

"Hmm... I'm thinking... no. I would lose my superhero rewards card!"

"And... I almost feel bad for this. Oh well." The boss threw a dust shard, but of course, spidey was quick to the draw, and then used a web to grab it, and threw it right back.

"If this is a game then you suck at it!" And as it exploded on the hull, the bullhead began to spin a bit. But... Spidey was... stopped by someone intervening. Someone Spidey had met before. Or well, someone Peter Parker met before. Glynda Goodwitch. She used... magic? Oh well, Spidey's writing it down like magic. Causing it to rain... ice shards on the bullhead. Not before long, Spidey's spider-sense began to ring, big time. Something that was... massively dangerous was hitting him. While he didn't see much, what he could see was a red dress. Before being blown away from the fire. Of course, Glynda... tried to move spidey out of the way, but spidey his webs at the side of the bullhead, trying to create a slingshot, before slingshotting himself into the bullhead.

"Wow, nice place you got here." Now with a closer look at the woman, something... scared him. The glowing yellow eyes stared at him from the darkness, before placing a hand on his chest, specifically on the spider emblem and...

"Burn."

"Wait, what- AH! HOT HOT HOT HOT!" Spidey tried to put the fire out, before getting... punched out of the bullhead. Landing... on the rooftop.

"Ow..." And as the bullhead escaped, spidey couldn't... shake the feeling of those yellow eyes that stared at him.

"Now. You're going to be coming with me for property damage, disturbing the peace..."

"Yeah, no. Not gonna happen. Besides, I tried to help that business owner! So, sorry, but I've gotta bounce!" Spidey shot a web line, before beginning to web swing, with Glynda... pursuing him.

"Come on! I tried to help tonight! Ugh... you suck! Fine, try to chase me!" Spidey began using his webs to his advantage, web-slinging as fast as he could, attempting to dodge out of the way of Glynda's magic. Before turning a corner, and...

"Stealth mode, now!" Spidey grabbed onto a wall, and... disappeared into the night.

'This is some other guy's whole business. Oh well. It may be a night tonight, but he won't know.'

As Glynda passed him, Spidey used this opportunity to web sling back to Beacon. Just in time to change into his civilian clothes.

"Man... I need some sleep, I should have enough ti-" Peter began saying, before seeing... getting ready for the day.

"Wow, Pete. When you said you get up early, I didn't think you meant so early you get up before the others... and take a shower man. You smell like you burned something." Ruby, of course, was the first person to intervene.

"Well, you know how it is!"

'GOD DAMMIT! I'm so tired... oh well... gotta stay awake.'

After some time, Peter and Ruby make their way to the lockers.

"So, why are we here again?"

"You, I don't know, but in my case, I stored my weapon here. But you, who knows." Peter sighed, before passing by Weiss, who was talking to...

'Dear god. Well, I suppose I'm feeling pretty motivated now.'

The girl Weiss was talking to... was... nice-looking to say the least.

'She's rocking the spartan vibe... Nice.'

"Can we help you with something Peter?" Weiss took Peter out of his head, by snapping her fingers at him.

"Oh! Uh... just wanted to know more about these... teams..?"

"Yes. Teams. You know, the group of people who we're going to spend the rest of our lives with working together? I'm talking with Pyrrha here to see what she thinks. Maybe we'll be on a team together!"

"Ah... Oh. Uh, if you don't mind me asking, why are you so adamant about getting on a team with Pyrrha? No offense, but she doesn't look all too... special to say the least." This got Pyrrha's attention.

"Hey! Do you know who you're talking about?"

"I'm pretty sure I made it clear that I don't know. I have no idea who you are talking about."

"She is Pyrrha Nikos!"

"Hello again!"

"Graduated top of her class at Sanctum."

"I have no idea what that place is. Is it another one of those academies?"

"Ugh... she also won the mistral regional tournament 4 years in a row!"

"Huh...?" Peter could barely feel his legs. Exhaustion was finally getting to him.

"She's also on the face of every Pumpkin Pete cereal box!"

Peter tried to remember, and the only thing he did remember was the fact that he was thrown headfirst into one of those boxes.

"Oh! Those boxes! I was thrown into one of those boxes."

"Yes... unfortunately, the cereal isn't that good for you."

"So, can you understand how much of a big deal Pyrrha is?"

"Yes..? If it gets you to stop screaming, I'll do anything."

"Heh..." Pyrrha... chuckled. "Well... Peter. I think you could make a great leader. If not, stand-up comedy is also a possible career!" Peter tried to hold it in, but couldn't resist himself, and let out a burst of laughter.

"I... Pyrrha! A little help here?"

"Oh! Okay, Um... sorry Peter."

"Eh? sorry for-" And Peter was stuck to a wall. Not by his spider-powers, but because Pyrrha had thrown a spear at him. As Weiss and Pyrrha walked by, Pyrrha took her spear back.

"It was nice to meet you, Peter!"

"Ugh... Likewise... " Peter slumped to the floor, resisting every urge to sleep.

'Why do I have this sinking feeling that... it's all downhill from here.'
