Author's Notes: Finally, this is episode 7. This one takes place at some point in September 2021. The Stone Of Mirrors is supposed to be as powerful as the Eye Of Eternity, but only sets the Reflector Specter free from his mirror and breaks it permanently instead of just turning people to stone.
Also, in my timeline, Vincent recaptured the ghosts (by himself, since I cut out Mortifer) sometime in the early 1900's, because that's the vibe I got when I first watched the flashback of him opening the chest in Curse Of The 13th Ghost.
Location: New York
The Reflector Specter looked upon a tall building as the sun started to rise. He watched as thousands of people walked and drived by the building.
He used his powers to see inside the building, and found a secret floor, where a small, blue stone was kept.
He smiled evilly as he realized what exactly this stone was.
"I have finally found it, the 'Stone Of Mirrors.' The only stone that can destroy and free me from this mirror that I have been trapped in ever since my first encounter with the warlock known as Vincent Van Ghoul," he recalled. "I shall send my fellow monsters trapped in mirrors out into the world to obtain this stone, and I shall finally be free for all of eternity!"
He then cast a spell, causing hundreds of monsters to break out of their mirrors and appear in front of him, scaring away everyone and breaking into the building.
"Go get that stone!" He ordered.
He suddenly froze for a moment as he saw an image in his mirror.
"Wait, is that Vincent Van Ghoul himself, and Asmodeus with those mortals that trapped me in the chest during our last encounter and another mortal that I have not seen before? It appears that they are planning to arrive here for the next few days," the demon observed. "I shall defeat them this time. With the Stone Of Mirrors, no one can stop me ever again."
A few hours later:
The gang walked down the streets of the city, admiring and taking photos of the view of all the places.
"Rwowww…" Scooby gasped in awe.
"Man, am I glad we've decided to visit here for the weekend!" Shaggy exclaimed.
"Yeah, it's really beautiful here," Daphne smiled.
They all then stopped in their tracks as Vincent gazed into his crystal ball and frowned.
"Rit feels like romethings wrong," Scooby agonized.
"Yes, there is. I have just discovered another reason for us to be staying here," Vincent announced.
"What is it?" Cheryl asked.
"None of you are going to like this, but it appears that the next ghost we must capture, the Reflector Specter, has just unleashed his monsters out into one of the buildings here only a few hours ago," he told them.
"Oh great," Shaggy grumbled.
"That's not all of it either, he wants the 'Stone Of Mirrors,' a small blue stone that can free him from his mirror and break it permanently," Asamad added. "He's finally found it in that building."
"The Stone Of Mirrors?" Velma repeated. "Is that a new stone or has it been around for years now?"
"It seems to have been created very recently, so I am not very familiar with it. However, I am sure that it was created by one of his fellow monsters that was not trapped to begin with."
Vincent then put the crystal back in his cape.
"We should start looking for him quickly, before he ends up finding us," he told everyone.
"So, how did Reflector Specter get trapped in that mirror in the first place?" Daphne wondered as they began walking down the street again.
"I was wondering that too. It doesn't sound like he's always been in there," Velma said.
"I trapped him in there," Vincent admitted. "It was more than a hundred years ago now, when I first encountered him after I accidentally opened the chest."
Everyone looked at him for a moment.
"I'm curious as to why you had to trap him in a mirror and then in the chest instead of just in the chest," Jayden replied.
"Well, long story short, he escaped from me when we had our first battle, so I had to cast a spell to trap him in a supernatural mirror to somewhat limit what he could do before I could finally capture him," he explained. "Since then, he's only been able to trap mortals in that mirror with him. However, it seems that now he's found a way to reverse the spell."
"That must be the reason why he can only control the mirror dimension that's inside the mirror," Shaggy figured out.
"That is the reason why, yes," Vincent confirmed.
"I don't know we're gonna be able to find him though. I mean, this city is really big."
Suddenly, the gang stopped in their tracks again as they heard screaming, and they all looked over to find some of the Reflector Specter's monsters chasing people.
The monsters looked over, and then fled immediately once they noticed Asamad and Vincent were standing there with the others.
The others looked back at each other now.
"Wow, they ran away pretty quickly," Cheryl commented.
"Oh, that's because they know how powerful Vincent and I are. A lot of monsters that aren't a part of the 13 Ghosts fear us because of it, especially me. Since, I suppose, they still consider me to be the King Of Demons, even though I do not claim that title anymore," Asamad explained.
"Huh, well I guess that since we just saw them, it must be a sign that the Reflector Specter is close," Flim Flam said.
"I think we should start searching for him now then, and the stone that he wants," Daphne responded. She turned around to Velma. "Do you have the Chest Of Demons with you?"
"Yes, I do," Velma nodded, unzipping her bag to show the chest inside.
"Okay good, we're all ready."
They all followed her, searching for the Reflector Specter, the rest of his monsters, and to be the first ones to get the Stone Of Mirrors.
