Sunday Night:
The weekend had quickly passed as the gang spent the rest of their trip traveling through the city, and now, it was finally time for everyone to head home.
Shaggy, Flim Flam, and Jayden helped out carrying all the luggage into the van, while Vincent and Asamad started to have a conversation of their own.
"I must admit, you have done well at pretending to go back to being evil in order to trick the Reflector Specter," Vincent said.
"Thank you," Asamad replied. "Although I have not been evil for a while now, I suppose I am able to trick the other ghosts into thinking that I am. Yet, I probably will not be doing that much."
He walked further away from the van, and Vincent followed him.
"You know, it is actually very fitting that you trapped him in a mirror all those years ago, since he had the power to control mirrors whenever he wanted to. It is even how he got the name of Reflector Specter in the first place."
"Well yes, although at the time, I was more focused on trapping him so that the mirror would limit some of what he could do, so that he could not trap every being, and because I obviously could not limit or remove all of what he could do, no matter how powerful I am," Vincent told him.
He then paused for a moment, thinking about something.
"If you really think about it, he technically did get out of that mirror today, even if it wasn't exactly how he wanted to get out of it, since he was immediately trapped in the chest right after," he pointed out.
"You are not wrong about that," Asamad acknowledged. He then also stopped for a second. "Wait a minute, I just realized, this is the third time in your lifetime that he's been out of the chest, since you have opened it first, then Shaggy and Scooby, and then Velma just a few months ago."
"Also with the other ghosts we still have to recapture as well. Hopefully, this is the last time they'll be out before we finally recapture all of them."
"I am sure that it is," the red ghost told him. "I know you are getting tired of them being freed, and that's completely understandable."
Vincent slightly nodded and looked down.
"Sometimes, I wonder if I will ever catch a break from this," he sighed.
"You will someday, and it will all be worth it," Asamad assured him.
Vincent smiled.
"I hope that you are right."
He then looked over at the others as they were helping each other carry the Reflector Specter's mirror into the van.
"And I hope that they can get a break from this as well. They deserve it. Listen, these ghosts are more dangerous for them than they were for me." He then sighed again. "If these ghosts keep getting freed, I wonder how much longer will it be before the others will…"
He trailed off before the red ghost put his hand on his shoulder.
"No, they will not die because of this," Asamad immediately said, as Vincent looked back at him. "You would never let that happen, and neither would I. I know it is terrifying to even think about, however, you cannot find yourself worrying about it too much. Do you understand?"
Vincent looked over at the others again before answering and then looked back at him.
"Yes, I understand. You should know, you really do help me sometimes more than I ever thought you would," he admitted. "Thank you."
The red ghost just smiled at that.
"Well, you are very welcome. I am glad that I can help you."
Vincent nodded again and stared at the view of the city in front of him in silence for a moment.
"At least this whole weekend wasn't as bad as almost getting my powers stolen by Nekara or having Time Slime send me into a time loop of my worst memories," he recalled.
"Yes. Both of those times were, to put it lightly, extremely unpleasant," Asamad agreed.
"Tell me about it," the warlock scoffed.
The others had now closed the backdoors of the van, leaning their backs against them.
"Rinally, we defeated ranother rhost," Scooby sighed in relief.
"Yeah, I mean, having to defeat and recapture the Reflector Specter, and trying to look for the only stone that could've freed him from his mirror this weekend was pretty rough," Jayden admitted. "Although, the rest of our trip after we captured him wasn't too bad."
"I guess so, but I am glad that we get to go home now. Castle Van Ghoul is always way better than anywhere else," Cheryl said.
"I can't argue with you on that," Velma shrugged.
"Me neither," Daphne agreed.
She then walked to the front of the van and got in the driver's seat.
"Well, it looks like it's going to be a long ride back, so we'd better start leaving now if we want to make it home by tomorrow," she told everyone.
Everyone else went into the van, and as Shaggy was about to do so well, he noticed Vincent and Asamad still talking to each other, unaware of the others almost leaving without them.
He then walked over to Flim Flam, who was also just about to get into the van.
"Hey, could you call over Vincent and Asamad real quick to let them know we're leaving?"
"Sure thing," he responded.
Shaggy then went inside the van, and Flim Flam began to walk towards them.
"Vincent! Asamad!" he had called out from far behind them.
Both of them turned around to see Flim Flam waiting just a few feet away from the van.
"We're going to leave now. Are you guys coming with us in the van or are you just going to teleport back home?"
"Yes, we're coming with you," Vincent told him.
They both walked towards the van, and as he was about to get into it, a piece of paper that was flying through the wind hit Asamad in the back and fell to the ground.
He picked it up out of curiosity and briefly read what was on it.
"What's this? New circus in town this November?"
He then stopped for a moment, realizing what this meant.
"Professor Phantazmo, of course," Asamad sighed. "Still trying to lure mortals in with entertainment I see."
He folded the paper and put it in his cape, saving it for when the circus would show up, and then finally went into the van with the others before it drove off.
Both their home and the next ghost they needed to capture were getting closer than they thought now.
Author's Notes: Episode 7: Undiscovered Reflections is finally over! Of course, the next episode in my series will be Professor Phantazmo's episode, which will possibly start in late June or at any point in July. Either way, it will definitely be starting during the summer.
Also, Reflector Specter earning his name from being able to control mirrors back in the day is another head canon of mine, and the mention of Time Slime trapping Vincent in his past is from my 5th episode, and the mention of Nekara almost stealing Vincent's powers is from my 3rd episode as well.
