Let's finish this volume up!
RWBY belongs to Roosterteeth.
Spider-man belongs to Marvel, Stan Lee, and Steve Ditko.
Spider-man shot a web upwards, continuing to move throughout the city. Every corner was more and more terrifying. Empty, but eventually he had encountered Grimm.
"Oh great, more of these freaks, but I'm ready this time!" Spider-man began to web what could be described as gauntlets to his hands, before reading himself. And notice that they didn't even react to him. Spider-man shook the webbing off his hands and sighed. Before continuing to web swing through the broken city. Eventually realizing that he had been going in circles. "Okay... think." Spider-man looked around for a quick second. "Terrain resembles the outside forests of Beacon to an extent. So that would mean..." Spider-man went on the streets, before shooting his webs onto two nearby buildings, before beginning to pull himself back. "Always wanted to try this!" Spider-man then flung himself like a slingshot upwards. And in the far distance, he could barely see city lights.
"Vale?! HAHA! Woo! I'm not too far!"
...
"I'm gonna die." As spider-man descended, before opening his web-wings and deciding to glide downwards. "Alright. If this works properly..." Spidey attempted to glide as far as he could, before using his webs to give himself a boost. Before eventually barely making it out of Mount Glenn. Before... Feeling something clamp around his throat. Pulling him right back, and slamming him on the ground. "Ugh... W-What...?" Spider-man looked upwards, seeing... "Oh great." Sienna stands over him, pushing him down to the ground. "Hi, Sienna..."
"Hello, Spider-man. What a surprise to see you again."
"What... are you doing here? And what did you do to yourself?" Spider-man noticed that Sienna was a bit more... bigger. She was taller, bulkier, etc.
"I suppose I was able to do what happened to you, you genetic misfire."
"Ouch! And how the hell did you find me? I'm... Grk!" Sienna began to pull tighter the whip around Spider-man's neck. "I mean... aren't we hundreds of miles away from Menagerie?"
"Well... I found your scent. I can track you anywhere you go. Not to mention, I'm stronger, faster, and more agile than you."
"Well... I'm not that amazing, to begin with honestly. And hey, quick question, did you see some flying metal man through here?"
"Why do you ask? It doesn't matter."
"Well, it should matter because... He's right behind you!" Spider-man was barely able to free himself before Iron Maniac charged at Sienna, in which she simply jumped over the Iron Maniac, with incredible agility.
"Stark. A pleasure to see you again."
"Sienna! Nice to see you again. Broke my last suit. I would charge you for it, but I think I'll just beat it out of you instead." The two charged at each other, with Sienna now having two whips instead of one. Using them as well as she could before. But much, much better. Spider-man slowly stood up, seeing the two engage in combat. Lethal, combat.
"Oh my god... they're gonna kill each other. Wait, why don't I let them? Two birds, one stone. But then again, I'll feel guilty. As if I didn't have enough to be guilty of already." Spider-man quickly intervenes, before shooting webs in between, stopping them from fighting. Before Iron Maniac grabbed Spider-man and began to slam him onto the floor, before slamming him through the floor. As he fell, he shot a web upwards, stopping him from going splat. Before Sienna picked Iron Maniac up and threw him down the same hole he created. As he hit the floor Sienna jumped down as well, but Iron Maniac shot her with a repulsor beam, knocking her down. Into some rubble. Spider-man jumped in between him and Sienna. "You're not gonna kill her. And trust me, she's been starting to be a real pain!"
"Oh, I've had enough of you!" Iron Maniac shot repulsor beams, which spider-man avoided, before having this glare to his face and punching Iron Maniac straight in the chest. Right in the Arc reactor. Before forcing his arm in, and ripping the arc reactor out. With Tony stuck in his Suit, Spider-man uses his web to slowly drag him. Looking around, seeing what could resemble a train. Before throwing Iron Maniac onto it. Before walking to where Sienna is.
"You better not be-" Spider-man was caught off guard, before feeling his leg be grabbed, before Sienna stood up again, before slamming him into the train, before slamming him onto the floor. "GAH! LET ME GO!" Spider-man was able to hold onto a nearby railing, before escaping her grasp.
"I hope you remembered the last time we had a physical encounter."
"I do. Painfully. But you know where my allegiance stands."
"Hmph." Sienna charged at Spider-man, before he slid on the ground, using his legs to throw her away. Sienna pulled out one of her whips, before swinging it around, as Spider-man wasn't able to dodge, falling on the floor. . As Sienna collapsed the whip into a weapon resembling a sword and threw it at Spider-man, who was barely able to dodge but used the weapon to boost himself upwards. Unfortunately, Sienna met him in the air and punched him right back onto the ground. Spider-man shot a web at Sienna, who used her newfound strength to pull spider-man towards her, before punching him to the ground again. As Spider-man fell again, Sienna began using both of her whips. Spider-man, unable to get up, began using his legs to counter her whips. As he quickly stood up, he was met with a brutal beating by said whips. As Sienna smacked Spider-man away, Iron maniac slowly started to wake up, noticing the fight. Sienna stood over spider-man again, about to deal the killing blow, Spider-man shot a web that hit her leg, pulling her down, and disarming her. But she didn't fall as easily, as she quickly stood up. Charging at Spider-man, who kicked her aside. Their eyes locked, but neither of them was ready to back down. They fought hand to hand, with Spider-man beginning to utilize his kicks to his advantage Shifting up his fighting style here and there. Sienna quickly began to grab a very large piece of rock, but Spider-man turned around, shooting a web towards Iron maniac, and pulled. Sending him towards Sienna, who not only was hit by it but also dropped the piece of rock on herself. And like that, she fell. Spider-man panted, clearly wounded. But pulled his head up.
"I just took down two of them. Woo! Oh my god, I am so exhausted. But hey, not as badly beaten as last time! Spidey webbed the two up, before throwing them onto the train, starting it up and beginning to move. Making his way back to Vale.
Eventually, they came to a big concrete wall. If used with enough force, the train would surely break through the wall.
"Only an idiot would let a train slam this wall. I mean look at it!" Spider-man tapped the wall with his hand a few times. "It's barely stable as it is. But still, how am I going to..." But Spider-man looked around, seeing that thankfully, there seemed to be a few ladders leading upwards. "Well, I guess that works." As he climbed up, he opened the maintenance hole, revealing himself to be back in Vale. A few huntsmen nearby quickly surrounded him.
"Put your hands in the air!"
"Alright... give me a sec please?" Spider-man returned downwards, before throwing both Sienna and the Iron Maniac's body up and out. Before returning upwards himself. Seeing a captain of the huntsmen. "Captain."
"Spider-man. And these two are?"
"Sienna Khan. Leader of the White Fang. And Tony Stark, leader of the infamous Silver Bullet. And you are?"
"Captain-."
"Nice... to meet you." Spider-man panted heavily, before sighing. "You can... take these two away now... Oh, man am I tired. And hungry. You wouldn't happen to have anything on you, right?" The captain sighed, before handing Peter... a bagel. He lifted his mask enough, and began to eat, said bagel. "Thank you. Now, please. PLEASE put these two idiots away."
"No need to tell me again."
"Good... And do me a favor. Please keep them in custody. Because man, if I ever have to see one of these fools again, I feel like I'm going to lose it. Now... What day is it?"
"It's Tuesday. Why?"
"Oh, nothing."
'I'VE BEEN GONE FOR AN ENTIRE DAY. IT'S ALREADY NIGHT HERE! Ugh... I'm so gonna get an earful.'
As he arrived back at his dorm room, he entered the bathroom and pulled out his scroll. CHecking his email... And he smiled. He had won the VNN's spider-man contest. And he had to pass by their building by tomorrow night to redeem his prize money.
"Alright... finally. Things are going my way. Woohoo! Alright... Now... what to do with you..." Peter took off his spider-man suit. Intact, but the chest piece was messed up. He sighed a bit, wondering what to do. He had a lot of things to think about. Then he began to think. Sure, everything the Iron Maniac said was true, at least to a certain extent. But not all of it could be true, right? To believe the truth, or to hide the lie... those words just... hit him. Deep. Well, because it's exactly what he's doing.
'I, so far have told NO ONE other than Felicia that I'm spider-man. And with good reason! I mean I trusted Sienna. I did. And guess what? Now she's trying to hunt me down at every corner. Do you know that? And I'm afraid. If Sienna could easily track me... then there's nowhere that Peter Parker could be safe. Oh man man man! I know I've started saying that "Man, I can't catch a break." But man. I just can't catch a break.'
"Hey!"
"Huh?" Peter's focus was taken off smashing training bots, as someone had called him before he got smacked away by one of the training bots. "Ugh..."
"Ah! Sorry!" Whoever this person was, they turned off the training, and Peter slowly began to stand up.
'Who's...? Oh. It's... Blake?'
"Ah! Blake! It's... nice to see you. What're you doing here anyway?"
"Oh, nothing. I could say the same to you. It's almost midnight."
"Well, I guess I have a knack for that. So, what's up?"
"Oh, nothing. I just... need someone to talk to."
"I've got nothing better to do, so I'm pretty free right now. So what's up?"
"Is there... a secret you have? A secret that just... just can't be said?"
"Hmm... what do you mean?"
"We've all been here for about three months. Right? Give or take. I could assume that you got pretty close with your team, right? ANd they're like... a second family to you. And now there's the one thing that, if you can tell them, you'd feel a massive weight lifted off your shoulders. You want to tell them everything. Everything! And then you feel like you can truly trust them, and they can trust you! But... you're afraid to tell them the truth. What if the truth isn't what they want, and what if someone, in particular, would hate the truth. And maybe hate you?"
"..."
"I... I just don't know what to do."
'Well... I could... I really relate. God, I... want to tell the truth. I need to tell the people who are close to me that... I'm spider-man. Do you know how it is? I want to tell Ruby. I want to tell Pyrrha! But... I can't. Maybe it's for the best.'
"I guess It's... understandable really. But if the people that you want to tell this secret to, really matter to you, then you should matter to them, right? So there shouldn't be a reason to hide the secret. I can only assume this is the team you're talking about. And I know them. They're the kind of people who can accept you. No matter what. I don't think you should be afraid to tell them whatever your secret is. But it is your secret. I can only give you advice. And it's up to you whether or not you want to tell them. Okay?" Peter finished, before placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Well... Thanks. You know, I was hoping you'd just tell me to do it or do not. But I think that's going to be more useful. Thanks, Peter."
"Well, no problem. Remember, it's your secret. It's no one's business to tell it to you. Alright?"
"Alright. Yeah... You know, how do you always know the right thing to say?"
"Well... honestly, I just try to use words given to me, by guys who are, honestly, much smarter than all of us."
"Hmm... thank you." Blake sighed, before giving Peter a light smile, with him giving one back. And not too long after, she exited the training center. Peter sighed a bit, before looking at his hands. Before going to his locker, and looking down at his spider-man mask.
"That's it. I'm going to tell them. Or well, I'm going to tell Pyrrha first."
"Hello... Hello... Mr. Winchester!"
"GAH!" Cardin's eyes immediately opened, as he struggled to get up. Trying to move his arms only gave him the realization that he was tied down to a table. "Gr... HEY! WHERE THE HELL AM I? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" Cardin tried to move, before feeling... calm. "What the hell are you doing to me...?"
"Well, let's just say that what you did at Beacon Academy has brought you to our attention."
"And whose attention did I get...?" Cardin tried to look around, seeing logos around the room. But the logos were practically unrecognizable. But it seemed to resemble something of an eagle to him.
"That's classified. But enough of your questions. We have a few of our own. First, what is your semblance?"
"My... semblance? It's-"
"Not important. We've looked into your Beacon file. Your semblance did not do that to you. Natural Pyrokinesis, rapid body muscle regeneration, and oddly enough, body disfiguration. Although now, you are seemingly back to how you used to be before."
"Then what happened to me?"
"That is what we were hoping you would tell us. We've done almost a dozen blood tests on you, and nothing has turned up. But, regarding previous blood tests, it's almost as if your D.N.A itself has... seemingly been rewritten. Whatever happened to you, changed you."
"W-Why can't I move...?"
"Well... here's a mirror." The agent handed him a mirror, in which he saw something... pretty horrifying. His arms were completely covered in burn scars. And when he noticed this, he began to scream in pain.
"OH MY GOD! SOMEONE HELP ME! PLEASE, I BEG! I BEG! I DON'T DESERVE THIS!" And then something clicked into his head. Spider-man. He did this. No, that's not right.
"Mr. Winchester?" Cardin began to struggle. "Mr. Winchester, calm down!"
"NO! G-GET ME OUT OF THIS!" Cardin began to scream before the agent stepped back.
"I need a full security team, now! We've got one trying to break out!" The agent pulled out her pistol, before shooting Cardin in the chest, unfortunately, it was too late, as he began to shrug off the bullets. Before grabbing the agent by the head, and throwing them through what could've been assumed to be an observation window. Cardin then screamed, with certain parts of his body to be consumed by fire.
"SPIDER-MAN!"
Peter slowly got out of his bed, before quickly jumping out of it. Looking around, he noticed a few key things. Firstly, he noticed that Nora was relaxing on her bed, while playing on her scroll, with Ren, appearing nowhere in sight. "Uh, where is everyone?"
"Dunno. Ren went out to buy groceries for us. More particularly me, but you know."
"And Pyrrha?"'
"Oh, she went out with Jaune today."
'HUH?"
"Like, they went out. To hang out, why? Oh. Ohhhh. I see now."
"Nora, wait it's not what-"
"You like Pyrrha don't you?"
"I don't! I mean, I don't think I do. Look." Peter sighed, before sitting down on his bed. "I got something pretty big to say to her. And honestly, it means a lot to me."
"So, a confession? You do love her?"
"Nora."
"Alright, sorry. Well, what is so big you've gotta tell her? Well, come on, tell me instead! Trust me!"
"Sorry, Nora. I'll tell Pyrrha, and then I'll tell you. I promise."
"Siiiigh. Alright, then Pete. You better, or else!"
"Or else what?"
"I'll break your legs."
"Haha. Nice joke." There was an awkward silence afterward. "Y-You are joking, right?"
...
"Alright... I-I'm just gonna go now, see ya!" Peter quickly changed, with his wardrobe now... different. Sure, it wasn't a... suit per se, but it was something. It was a red and black hoodie, thankfully, with the colors around where they were on his actual suit. Red gloves, with the color gray on the palms. He also wore black pants, with black, red, and white converse-like shoes. The clothes worked as a make-shift suit, as well as actual civilian clothes. A bit more obvious, but hopefully not obvious enough.
As Peter arrived at the ground floor of the VNN, he entered the building, seeing the... chaotic mess that the VNN was. Seeing people run around was odd, to say the least. What was more amazing, is that everyone seemed to work in Tandem. Before seeing... Someone that Peter could describe outward, to say the least. She was shouting at the workers, asking for... photos of Spider-man.
"COME ON PEOPLE, WE'VE GOT A BROADCAST TO PUT OUT TODAY!"
"Uh, excuse me-"
"Huh? What're you doing here?"
"Well, I'm Pe-"
"I know who you are! Somebody who wastes almost one entire minute of my time!" The woman began to push Peter back into the elevator before shoving him inside it. "Well, sorry, but I don't have another minute to spare. Now, has anyone seen that Parker guy? I emailed him a day ago!"
"Ahem. Well, I hate to tell you but you did just kick out, who I could assume to be Peter Parker. Ms. Lavender."
"Well, what're you waiting for!? Get him back here!"
As Peter exited the VNN building, he sighed a bit while slumping his shoulders, before realizing... "Wait, my money! Dammit!" Peter tried to enter the building again, before bumping into the VNN's secretary.
"Mr. Parker, happy I caught you before you left."
"Sorry, but you are?"
"Cyril Ian. VNN's secretary."
'His name sounds like the color cerulean. Wait, am I just now noticing that a few people here have their names rhyme with colors?'
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Cyril. But uh, why are you here?"
"Well, Ms. Lavender hadn't noticed that you were Peter Parker, now come on up."
"Sorry about that Mr. Parker. I'm a very busy woman, so I hope you don't blame me for the fact that many people come in daily. Offering some kind of tip, or claiming they've got the 'Big Scoop'. Not to mention, I partly expected someone a bit... older. You're on the younger side, right?"
"Yes, Ma'am."
"Now, here's the million lien question. How'd you get the photos anyway? They are far too clear. considering that many other photographers have gotten nothing but blurry pictures."
"Well, he did come to my school a while back."
"You attend Beacon Academy?"
"Well, yeah."
"So you did take these photos?"
"Yes?"
"Well, regarding the photos... most, if not all of these are... less than desirable. I'd go as far as to say that most of them are... garbage. Like this one, and this, and this..." For about a few good seconds, Ms. Lavender analyzed each photo, before stopping at a single one. "Swear to me that this photo of Spider-man is the real deal." The photo in question was a basic photo of Spider-man crawling on a wall.
"Well, yeah. It's the real deal."
"Will you sign a legal release saying so?"
"I... guess?" Ms. Lavender's face showed... a bit of distaste towards that answer. "I mean, yeah. I will." Eventually, Cyril entered the room.
"Ms. Lavender, please understand that Mr. Parker is well... young."
"How old are you Mr. Parker? You don't look older than 15."
"I'm... Actually 17."
"Well, in that case, I'll give you around 200 hundred Lien."
"But the ad said-"
"Yes. For a whole album. Not to mention, you're 17. A kid compared to me. And I don't know you. Only around 3 or 4 of your photos are acceptable. Barely at that."
"I'll take it I guess-"
"Ugh... dammit." Cyril then began to type on what resembled a laptop, clearly struggling with something.
"Cyril? Is there a problem?"
"Well, no Ms. Lavender. Just struggling with the website we have. It keeps continuously freezing on me!" Unfortunately, he wasn't the only person to have this problem. Not before long, another employee entered the room.
"Ms. Lavender! The website isn't popping up on our web browser!"
"Great, here we go again..." Ms. Lavender sighed, before beginning to rub her head.
"Actually, I think you're stuck in a recursive loop," Peter spoke up, and that got the room to go quiet. "Do you mind?" Peter gestured to Cyril's Laptop, which he handed it over to Peter. As he began typing on the laptop. Before...
'Well, great to see that at least coding is the same here.'
"Well, websites like your own don't crash. Web servers do. But from what I can see, something in your system, most likely an important line of code, is repeating itself. And seeing that it doesn't have a conditional statement to get the statement to exit, or stop calling the same line of code. It's the same reason as to why nothing is loading. The script needs to show the results to make the page load, but since it's stuck in a recursive loop, the page will never load, and the page isn't ever going to render." As Peter finished typing, he hit enter, allowing the website to finally load.
"Hey, the website's back up!" The employee then left.
"See, because I added a conditional statement to the script. Which was needed to stop the recursive loop. That's why the website now works." The room was left silent for a while before Peter handed the laptop to Cyril.
"Ahem. Mr. Parker."
"Ah! Yes?"
"..."
"Yes, Ms. Lavender?"
"You go to school, right? Do you need a job?"
"Seriously?" Peter smiled, almost about to jitter from joy.
"You can come after school, and work on this damn website for us. But You're starting right now. Because I could go for 100 years before I have the patience to deal with this again. So?"
"I... I'll take it!"
"Phew." Cyril commentated.
Spidey web swung through the city. The day was still alive, and well, he was too. "WOO HOO!" Well, more than alive.
'Alright! Finally! Phew, got a job that I can actually do. So happy I didn't become a photographer. Alright alright...'
"HEY! STOP THAT FAUNUS!"
"And there's my cue!" Spidey then swung down, before quickly landing in front of the Faunus. The faunus in question had a... look to him.
'And I thought Jaune calling himself Daredevil was something. This guy doesn't even have a shirt. He has a... monkey-like tail to him. I could assume he's a monkey faunus?'
"So, you'd steal a banana or what?"
"What are... No way, you're Spider-man!"
"Well, yeah. Why do you ask?"
"Oh, man! I'm your biggest fan! Hold up!" The Monkey faunus took out his scroll, before taking a selfie, with Spider-man in the background. "Anyways. I've gotta get going. Those guys think I'm a no-good stowaway. I'm a great stowaway for their information!"
'... You know. Considering who I just fought, this is... I'm speechless. Well, whoever this guy is, he doesn't look dangerous. I'll just take him out with my webs.'
"Well... Honestly, I don't even have a quip for what's going on." Spidey sighed, before beginning to shoot webs to incapacitate whoever this was.
"Ah! What is this! Oh wait, it's your webs right?" Whoever this was, clearly was... a fan. Spidey pulled a move he saw from a certain captain, after wrapping the faunus in webs, as he pulled, jumped, twirled, using the inertia to pull the Faunus to where the cops were waiting for him. "Hey! Come on man, I didn't do anything!"
One of the sailors, noticing that the faunus was captured, looked over at Spidey for a second. "Thanks, Spider-man!"
"No problem!"
'Spider-sense! but uh, from where?'
Spidey quickly turned around to see... Team RWBY. Either by convenience or not, they were here. She quickly decided to try and web swings out of the area, and while web-slinging past the aforementioned team. Before stopping in a nearby alley, he took off his mask. Before jumping out of a dumpster. "I have got to find a better way to do that." As he came out of the alley he turned a corner and... Bumped into someone.
"Ah! I'm sorry, I didn't see you-" Peter looked at who he bumped into. A girl, a bit shorter than him, was still on the floor. "Uh...?"
"Sal-u-ta-tions!"
"Hi? You're still on the floor. Could I help you get up? Are you... okay?
'You can't just see this and tell me that everyone here isn't a weirdo.'
"I'm doing wonderful! Thanks for asking!"
"Are you gonna... get up?" The girl lay on the ground for a few seconds, before...
"Yes!" She jumped up, back onto the ground. "My name is Penny! Nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you too?"
"And your name is?"
"Uh... I'm Peter. You can just call me Pete."
"Nice to meet you!"
'Didn't she say-'
"Well, sorry for running into you! Haha... Well uh... Hope you get better soon, friend?"
'As much as I would loooooove to keep talking, I think it's better if I-'
"Wai! What did you call me?"
'Nuts.'
"I just said get better soon friend?"
"So, you did call me friend. Am I your friend?"
"Well, I don't have reason to not call you my friend so-"
"Sensational! We can go out sometime, go eat hamburgers with a ton of fat in them and-"
"Okay okay! Slow down! Jeez! You're like Ruby..."
"Ah! So you also know Ruby?"
"Well... Yeah? You know her too I assume?"
"Yes! I do! She was my first friend! You are my second!"
"Wow, I almost feel honored. Almost. So uh... you are certainly new. I heard a bunch of new students was coming for the tournament. I could assume you are too?"
"Correct! I'm combat ready!"
"Well gotta say you... don't look the part. But hey! Looks can be deceiving! So I guess you are! But, I want to ask a question... What's up with the skirt? I mean, I know like two people who wear skirts while they fight, do you have some kind of explanation for that?"
"Well, it's a combat skirt!"
"Those don't exist!"
...
"... Do they?"
"They do!"
"Oh my god. This place just gets weirder and weirder. So uh... what's up?"
"Oh, nothing! I just saw Ruby's other friends have a pretty heated argument. About how the white fang should be treated better and-"
"Wait what? Oh dammit. I forgot that Weiss hates the fang! Wait, how'd I forget about that? It's a particular one of the very few things that make her the same as other people. What else can you tell me, Penny?"
"Well..." Penny spent the next few minutes explaining what was going on with team RWBY. "... And that's about it."
'Great... Dammit, Weiss! Oh god. I just told Blake to tell the others about her secret too! I mean, I know it of course. Assuming it's about her being a Faunus. And... great. Dammit!'
"Sorry Penny, but I've gotta go. Fast!" As Peter began to run off, he actually ran back. "That is okay with you, right?"
"Of course! Promise to meet again?"
"Well..."
'I have a knack at failing those I promise. But... Well.'
"I promise."
"Well, farewell Peter!" Peter ran off into, once again, a nearby alley, before putting his mask on, and beginning to web-sling back to Beacon.
"I gotta move, fast!" Not before long, Spidey began to get a call on his scroll. "Great, what now?"
"Pe- Spidey! Where are you?!"
"I'm trying to hurry back to Beacon, personal matters, why?"
"Some guy calling himself the Punisher is trying to kill someone who's robbing a cafe! I'm trying my best here, but I could use some help!"
'Ok... I gotta help Jaune, but at the same time, I've gotta try and help Blake... okay. Priorities.'
"Alright, Jaune. I'm on my way!"
As Daredevil fought the punisher, using his shield to block any of the punisher's bullets while trying to use his sword to slash at Punisher every chance he got. And while his sword was able to break a few of the punisher's weapons, almost every time one would break, another would come into his hands. But thankfully, as Daredevil was knocked down again, he tried to use his shield to block again, but Spidey arrived in time and kicked Punisher away. "I had that, you know."
"Yeah..." Spidey then lent Daredevil a hand, helping him stand up. "Look, we aren't competing on this, just trying to be partners. Now, fill me in, fast!"
"Well, the guy with the massive skull on his chest is Punisher. He has a massive load of guns. And he's pretty good with them. He tried to kill this guy. Calls himself Boomerang. And well..."
"His entire gimmick is that... he can throw boomerangs? Wow. Well..."
'I gotta end this. FAST.'
Spidey jumped through the air, quickly shooting webs at Punisher's hands. Before jumping over Punisher himself, avoiding any kind of gunfire.
"Stop shooting, you know I'm just gonna-" Spidey then blocked an attack from Punisher, which almost caught him off guard.
'Okay... So reading from the VNN's archive of files, this guy's name is Frank Castle. Former huntsman, top marksman for the Atlas Military. And then his family was... killed by fellow corrupt huntsmen. All dead by his hand afterward. I can only assume that it sent him over the edge. I feel for him, I do. But at the same time, it's pretty reasonable to not feel any ounce of sympathy for him. He's shooting at me! And I'm almost sure he's taken a long nice vacation to crazy town and liked it so much there, he decided to start living there. There isn't any doubt that he's lost it.'
Spidey then put his hands up, and the Punisher stopped for a second. "Wait wait wait, hold on. I'm starving. Say, after this, why don't you, and I grab a quick bite to eat?" This caught Punisher off guard, he only looked at Spidey as if he was insane. Spidey then quickly kicked Punisher in the stomach, before shooting webs at his face, and punching said face. Before quickly creating a web, and throwing Punisher in the web. Defeating him with ease. "Alright. Now..." Spidey walked over, before creating a web right next to the punisher, before tossing Boomerang into it. "Now do me a favor, both of you, stay here until the cops arrive."
"Wait wait wait! You can take the money!"
"Huh."
"Al 20k! You two can take it! or split it up! Just get me away from this guy!"
"Ugh..." The duo nodded at each other, before parting ways.
Spidey wasn't off the clock just yet, as he continued to web sling throughout the city. Trying to make his way back to Beacon. Before getting another call from Jaune. "What's going on now?"
"Oh, nothing. What's up with you? Barely any quips this time. Are you alright man?"
"Well, believe it or not, I'm... not."
"Oh no. What happened? internal team problems?"
"What? No!
"Then what's going on?"
"Well, I was kidnapped for a while. Interrogated. All because I had some tech in my suit. Some… familiar tech."
"The Iron Maniac stuff you mean? I gotta say. I'm sorry for not being there to help."
"No no, it's fine. I doubt you could've done much. He completely beat me. I wouldn't want you to get hurt."
"I appreciate the concern, but I can handle myself. But what happened next?"
"Well, he chained me up, placed one of his gloves on my hand so either I shoot myself free, or shoot and kill him. But… thing is that he's… my former mentor."
"Oh, man! No way!"
"It's true. But he isn't how I used to know him. Claims the white fang did it to him. And that's why he created the silver bullet. So… push came to shove, I had to fight him again. And I didn't hold back."
"You hold back?"
"Did… you not know that? I hold back because… I'm more powerful than you know. So… Yeah. But man. It felt… horrible. Not to mention he made me question whether or not everything he did was ever with good intentions."
"It's got you messed up now huh?"
"Yeah. Everything kind of sucks. Not gonna lie."
"Well, it's over now. You beat him, and he went to jail. Good work on that."
"Thanks."
"But still. Try and take some time off. Maybe stop being spider-man for a while?"
"..."
"But it's just a recommendation, man. Just try and get back to Beacon tonight. I think Pyrrha needs to talk to you. Or well, she told me that she needs to talk to you. Good luck."
"Thanks, man. I was starting to worry I was about to lose it."
"Hey! We're partners. What are partners for?"
"Yeah. Thanks." Jaune then hung up. As Spidey continued to make his way back to Beacon.
As Spidey arrived back at his team's dorm room, quickly took off his mask. Peter then decided to lay down in his bed. Sighing a bit. Before quickly sitting up as he heard the doorknob begin to turn.
'Great, now what?'
The doorknob turned, revealing… Pyrrha. Who appeared to have finished a recent training session.
"Pyrrha! It's so good to see you!"
"Peter? Oh my god. I finally caught you while you're awake. Now firstly. I'm happy to see you alive."
"Did… did you think I was dead?"
"Well, seeing that you went missing for almost two entire days, Yes. I did." Pyrrha's tone showed concern. But at the same time, it had… annoyance to it.
"Are you… mad at me?"
"Well. Since you asked… yes. Of course, I am."
"But-"
"Because. Ozpin gave you the role of leader. I, Nora, and Ren knew that you could be the right person for it. The battle in the emerald forest made us believe that you could've been a true leader. We already talked about this, but nothing changed! We care about you, Peter! Some of us more than others! And now. With you being gone for almost two days, we thought the worst. We told Ozpin, and…"
"And?"
"Well, you better go talk with him. He's got a few words for you."
"I…" Pyrrha turned away from Peter, before Peter tried to reach his hand out, before pulling back. And began to walk out of the dorm room.
'Man… I do not catch a break.'
As Peter began to make his way to the CCTV tower, where the headmaster's office was. He stopped at a few of the nearby statues. Investigating each one, before stopping at one in particular.
"Summer Rose… I wonder if she's…" Peter then looked at the face of the statute, even if hidden by a hood, the resemblance was almost uncanny. "It's an odd feeling. I live by a death that happened because I failed to do the right thing. Even now, it just… continues to screw with me. Responsibility to spider-man, but also to the people I care about. Even now, I'm terrified. But in some way, I… Guess-" Peter was cut off by hearing… rustling. He turned a corner, to a nearby statue, seeing… Blake?
'Well, I was trying to find her anyway. Guess this is extremely convenient. Whoopty.'
"Heya Blake." Peter sighed, sitting around the corner from her.
"Peter? What the… what are you doing here?"
"Well, I have to go to Ozpin's private office. If this is what I assume it is, well… I think that'll be the last time you see me for a while. That is if this is what I think it is."
"What? No way!"
"Yep. Honestly, things can't get worse. What happened to you? Some girl named Penny gave me some information on that whole situation."
"Well, I tried to take your advice. Really. I did. But Weiss, she…"
"Spoke badly about the White Fang?"
"Yeah… It matters more than you could believe."
"I think I can. Try and tell me your secret. If you want to, of course. I'm not obliging you to do anything."
"Peter, I appreciate the help but-"
"As I said, Blake. It's your secret to reveal. No one should do it for you." Peter slowly stood up, stretching a bit, before beginning to walk off. before …
"Wait! But, do you have a secret?"
"I… do. Would it make you feel better if I told my secret too?"
"Yes. It… would. Honestly."
"Well…" Peter sighed, before looking Blake in the eyes, before jumping onto a nearby statue, holding on to it. "I'm… Spider-man. We met before back in the white fang. And before you ask… no. I'm not here to bring you back by force."
"You… You…!" Blake charged at Peter, knocking him down, holding her Gambol Shroud right near his face. "You're a bastard. I can't believe I trusted you!"
"Blake, Blake! Wait! Before anything… Before you kill me… Your dad hopes you're doing well."
"How… How the hell do you know my father?!"
"Because… He saved me from Sienna. If it wasn't for him, I would've been dead by now. He promised to let me go if I came and told you that… he hopes you're doing well. I'm not lying!" With Gambol shroud near his face, Blake… decided to get off him. Peter slowly got up, before… Blake took off her ribbon.
"This… Is who I am Peter. And Spider-man… is who you are, then?"
"Yes. Sienna lied to me. The only damn reason I joined the white fang."
"I guess it gets us all."
"But… My uncle died. And it was my fault. Only a bit after I discovered my powers. And… He died. By my mistake. I chose to not do anything and he was killed by some punk with a gun."
"I'm… sorry."
"It's fine. He… died in my hands, and… Well, I guess I learned something. That when bad things happen, they happen because of you. And well, ever since then, I've tried to remember him, and do right by him. That's why I'm spider-man. And that's honestly, the truth."
"..."
"You… look nice without the ribbon, by the way."
"..."
"Don't go, Blake. You can have some time to yourself, but… I don't think you've got no one to turn to here. Your team is like family. Don't run away. Honestly, running away from your problems just makes them worse."
"Then what do you suggest I do?"
"Try to do what your 'ideal' form of the white fang should do. Try and convince Weiss that the fang isn't the bad guys. Just misled."
"..."
"You want her perception of the Fang to change? Maybe try and view it from her perspective. She's a Schnee, right? Well, there's file after file of people associated with the Schnee's. The most hated family on earth. That, guess what. End up going missing. And I'm betting that they're missing a more permanent kind."
"..."
"So maybe she has a reason as to why she treats the White Fang so poorly."
"I accidentally already revealed my secret to them. I mean, honestly, what can I do now?"
"They'd want answers. That's for sure. And I'm betting that they're gonna be pissed."
"..."
"But, only because you hadn't told them before. They care about you. I know Ruby and Yang. And Weiss… She cares. Under her extremely cold exterior, she cares. So try and go back to them. Please, Blake."
"... fine."
"Really?"
"Well… Yeah. There's no point in hiding from the truth. And the past."
"It all catches up eventually. We all have skeletons in our closets. The only thing that makes us different from each other is what we do when the past comes to confront us."
"Yeah… Thanks. And… good luck.
"I'm gonna need it."
"I would hate it if Beacon lost its friendly neighborhood spider-man."
"Yep… Oh, and at this moment, only you know. Well, Jaune knows too, but that's not by choice."
"Peter?"
"Yeah?"
"Why'd you throw catnip in my face?"
"Ah! Well, after the whole Sienna thing I-"
"It doesn't make us… woozy. It makes us-"
"Please don't finish that sentence, Please. I beg."
"Heh… Alright. I gotta ask one thing."
"Shoot."
"How do you… keep getting back up? People beat you, the news trash you, and honestly, tons of people gun for you every single day. But you still get back up. Why?"
"Vale doesn't have anyone to protect it, Blake. And with the people I fight, well… it's an obligation, to say the least. At least in my mind. And I get back up because… I won't quit. Anyone can win a fight when the odds are in your favor. It's only when the going gets tough when there seems to be no chance to win, that's when it counts."
"Vale needs a hero. I guess Spider-man is more than enough." Blake smiled at Peter. Peter hesitated, before smiling at her back.
"Good luck."
"Hey, if anyone needs luck, it's you." Peter and Blake talked for a while longer, before Peter the two parted ways.
'Well, it's not the way I wanted it to go, but… I guess me and Blake grew incredibly closer to each other. She knows I'm spider-man. Somebody knows. Finally… I feel like a massive weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Finally, Someone knows. I can trust Blake. And well, I hope she can trust me. If anything, Ghira, I hope I repaid you for what you did.'
Peter stood in front of the CCTV tower. As he entered, he walked to the elevator and got inside. He felt a sense of dread follow him. The short elevator ride felt as if it took forever. At this time, he stood there. And began to think back.
'Sienna Khan. A person who honestly made me into a fool. Leader of the white fang. Did… something to herself to even the tide.'
Only a bit closer.
'Ruby Rose. A sweet soul. There's a light in her eyes.'
Closer.
'Yang Xiao Long. A woman with the soul of a dragon.'
Closer…
'Blake Belladonna. Someone who, I guess I've connected to. She knows I'm spider-man, and well, I hope she's with her team. Anything's better than running away.'
Closer.
'Jaune Arc. Someone who was kidnapped, all because the white fang needed me dead. And well, got kidnapped for it. I'm happy he didn't die and doesn't hate me. But honestly, he has all reason to do so,'
And finally, he was at the top.
'Pyrrha Nikos. I made her believe in me. And then I lost that faith. Regained it, and well… Now. Who knows how she thinks of me.'
Peter entered Ozpin's office, before sitting down across his desk. The silence was obvious, but then, Ozpin began to speak.
"So. Mr. Parker. I guess we've had this talk coming for a while, haven't we?"
"I… guess we have."
"So, let's review. Firstly. You came here, and at first, attended all your classes, were almost a straight-A student in all your classes. And now, well. You barely attend classes, the classes you do attend, are spent sleeping most of the time while in those classes."
"..."
"Do you have an explanation for yourself?"
"..."
"Well, we have interviewed people closest to you. It's one thing to be failing in classes. But in personal connections, that's something else."
"I could assume."
"Now, onto that… You do know what's at stake, right?"
"Well, Yeah. I could assume."
"Expulsion, or not. If not, you'll be kicked off your team, and have your position replaced with someone else. This will, of course, prohibit you from activities that we have here. Now… Let's start." Ozpin began reading out what everyone said about Peter.
Tony Stark sat in a high-max jail cell. After what he did, it would make sense for him to be put in here. As he sat, he was solving a Rubix cube.
"Can't let the old mind get sore, now can I?"
"Stark. You have a guest."
"Really? Fine…" Tony then got up, before walking to meet his guest. The quest in question, however…
"Stark."
"Ah! D-Doc! Nice to see you!"
"You know why I'm here. The absolute… The disrespect you've shown is… infuriating. Not To mention claiming yourself to be the leader of the silver bullet?"
"Listen, I might as well be"
"SILENCE YOU WENCH! I should rip your head off your pathetic body this INSTANT!"
"Doc, come on!"
"You know what. Enough of this. You are not the Leader of the Silver Bullet. You are a pathetic, little man."
"When I get out of here, I'm going to kill you."
"If you get out. Stark, I didn't come here to argue. I came to cut off a loose end."
"Wait. Wait. WAIT!" Not before long, the sound of whirring could be heard, which followed… a rather disturbing scream. Which was horrible… gurgling noise. As the aforementioned 'Doctor' finished, he grabbed a paper in his jacket pocket, before rubbing the blood off his face.
"Another loose end. I had hoped for more from you stark. All this because you couldn't crush a tiny spider. Oh well. If you want something done right, you do it yourself." The doctor left the visiting area, before seeing prison guards enter, before rapidly exiting, attempting to apprehend the doctor, before noticing that he had vanished.
Honestly, I'm lost for words. 100 followers? Oh my god. It's an honor. To have 100 people follow my story is just something else.
I thank every single one of you for it. It's an honor.
Now! Volume 1 is over. Sure, I didn't cover the actual volume 1 finale. I left this at a cliffhanger, for good reason. But, if people want to see "Black and White" it'll be done in the vein of Ultimate Spider-man ½.
Anyways, thank you. All of you. Honestly, if it wasn't for you guys, I'd probably cancel this story by now.
Before anything, I will say. More of Spider-man's villains will be introduced in volume 2. Now, onto the future!
Anyways, here's an extra.
Extra: Well, it's not wrong…
Spider-man landed in front of the white fang's facility. Before wallcralwing along the side of the building, before crashing into Sienna's room.
"Give it up Sienna, I've caught you red handed this time!" Spider-man, web-shooters at the ready. Before… Realizing that something was just… wrong.
"What?" Sienna, was… was…
"Why… are you in a god damn Maid outfit?!"
"Not like you would know Spider-man."
"Well, of course, I don't know. You'd think I would be this confused if I knew what the hell is going on?"
"Sign. If you need to know, the white fang… has no more money. So, in the light of that, Ghira decided to have us.."
"Wear maid outfits?"
"No, you idiot. We're opening a maid cafe in Vale."
"But don't you think that this would be, oh I don't know, a really bad idea?"
"Well, if you're strapped for cash, what would you recommend we do?!"
"Fair point."
"Also come on. Was it really necessary to burst in here?"
"Well, I-"
"I-, I-, I-,"
"Hey! Ugh… Well, whatever. I hope it goes well."
"Wait."
"Hmm?"
"Take this at least." Sienna then handed Spider-man a slip.
"A 20 percent off coupon? Really?"
"Well, I'm sorry I thought that we had history!"
"You're making it sound like we had something!"
"I believed we did!"
'WHAT IS HAPPENING.'
"Well… I guess I can try and pass by sometime?"
"Thank you. Please, if you leave, don't break anything else!"
"Alright alright…"
Peter walked through the streets of Vale, seeing… The White Fang's maid cafe.
"Oh my god. I don't know what's more shocking. Seeing this, or… Seeing that people are going inside. Although, maybe there's more than meets the eye. But, it'd be dumb to go in swinging. Guess this is a job for Peter Parker!" Peter, with his will, solidified, entered the store, shocked to see if the location is a side operation for… something else. But, his will completely shattered before the sight he saw.
"W-Welcome home Master." Seeing Sienna, in a maid costume., saying those exact words, was something that honestly, crumbled Peter's will. If it wasn't for, god knows what, he would've most likely collapsed. Well, he didn't collapse, but he did the next worst thing. He tried to exit the building and smacked right into the door's outline. Falling outside. Before deciding to run off.
'I've seen something today, I wish I had never seen. Although… I can't lie. She was-'
Peter smacked himself.
'I want to die.'
Yep, One shot is back at a daily chapter thing. Or well, I tried to celebrate with 100 followers. Honestly, thank you.
Now, watch out. I'll find every single one of you, and give you a back-breaking bearhug. It means so much that a little fanfic like this has come to this amount of fame. Honestly, it's an honor
