AN: Hello readers! I have returned with a double update today:`). I'm sorry for how long it took me to release these chapters...It was mostly due to both chapters (but this one especially) going through multiple rewrites due to me either not liking how things were going or finding a better way of going about things...so I hope you all like the way I went with some of the character interactions and backgrounds;)

Sidenote: I have a poll up on my profile for a vote towards the next fandom I'll make a fanfic for...It is currently slated to end on Saturday, but I may extend it to next week:)

That's all from me today so I hope you enjoy both of these chapters! And again thanks for all the support so far!

Please leave a review on anything you liked, think I should work on, or just any questions in general! I will answer them in the next chapter after these two (Chapter 6):D

Chapter 4: Lessons Learned

July 13th, 8:30AM

I can't believe she ditched me! Kamijou thought to himself as he was running down the sidewalk, being chased by Misaka who was not too far behind him.

"Stop running!" she called out, lugging her school bag at her side.

Kamijou had tried his hardest to shake off the Electromaster behind him, who for some reason always wanted to fight him every time she saw him.

When he had been with Asher earlier, he had hoped she would have been able to stop her somehow, since she had said that they were friends. But for some reason when he had turned to look around for her, she had just vanished out of thin air...

This is just perfect! The one time that I meet and know another level 5 esper who seems cool headed enough to actually not want to fight me, doesn't even attempt to help me out!?

This must be some sort of payback due to what Tsuchimikado and Aogami did with her stuff, even though I wasn't even involved!

As he turned the corner, he found an indention he could hide in, seeing Misaka pass right by him, looking around in confusion when she didn't see where he had gone.

"Where did he go?" He heard Misaka say, as he peered at her from the corner and saw that her back was turned towards him.

This is my chance, he thought to himself, trying to creep out from his hiding spot before seeing the Level 5 esper unfortunately turn around before he had the chance to run away to safety.

"There you are!" He heard Misaka say, forcing him to start running again.

Damn it Asher, you could've at least warned me she was coming before! He thought to himself as he ran down the sidewalk and saw an alley he could run into.

When he went in and turned the corner, he instantly realized the mistake he made as it was a dead-end, meaning there was nowhere left to run.

"You're not getting away now." He heard from behind him, causing him to tense up before slumping down in defeat, knowing there was no way he could get out of this now.

Damn my rotten luck...

"Hey come on, Zapper, let's talk about this…." Kamijou asked nervously, as Misaka stood there in his path, blocking his only means of escape.

"There's no use in trying to talk yourself out of this." Misaka said as she coated the area around her with the glow of her electricity. "So you might as well give up!"

There's no way he's going to be able to block my electricity again, she thought to herself, seeing him start to back away closer to the wall behind him.

"Hey hold a second-" He tried to say before electricity was shot right towards, instinctively pulling up his right hand to cancel out the blow.

Misaka's eyes widened in shock, as her electricity burned and scorched the walls around them, not once even hitting the boy in front of her as he negated her attack with just his hand.

How does he do that!? She thought, feeling herself getting more and more irritated as she kept thinking about it.

"Whew that was close," He said aloud as he sweatdropped before hearing the girl in front of him growl as her electricity sparked around her due to her own frustration.

"How do you keep doing that!?" She yelled, sending another blast of her electricity.

But before it had a chance to even come close to him, though, a circular purple barrier seemed to appear in the space between them, causing the electricity's path to warp and strike the walls around them.

"What the-" Kamijou said mostly to himself in surprise, before seeing Misaka's eyes widen in either confusion or shock.

"Wait that looked like…." Misaka said aloud, before they both heard footsteps echo off the walls from behind her.

"I think that's quite enough, MK."

When Misaka and Kamijou turned to look, both of their eyes widened in surprise when they saw Asher in her Tokiwadai uniform, just casually standing there with her hands in her pockets.

"Zierdan?" Misaka said aloud as Asher proceeded to walk up beside her. "What are you doing here?"

"Trying to make sure, a certain Electromaster I know doesn't cause the whole electrical grid to turn off…." Asher said as she looked over at Kamijou who wore a look of shock on his face.

I don't understand how but, He thought to himself, realizing that Asher was wearing something else entirely after she had left him earlier.

"Wait, you were just wearing casual clothes earlier…" He asked as he pointed, causing Misaka to turn to look at him in slight confusion. "When did you put your uniform on?"

"I don't know what you're referring to, Kamijou, since I've been wearing this all morning," Asher said with a stoic look on her face. "So, you must've imagined it."

What? She couldn't have been wearing that though since we've been together basically all morning…. Kamijou thought in slight confusion, before he realized the small hint she had given to him, thinking back to one of her explanations earlier about her esper ability...

["But it's basically where I can condense the gravity to bend the light in the area, I lay out. I usually only do it around me since it's a little easier with the gravity field that I naturally have around me. I can do it from a distance away from me too, though it requires some more focus since I need to visualize the image, I want a little more…"]

Imagined it as in an 'image' in a way, He thought to himself.

I think I get it now. So she's just using that gravity lens thing she told me about this morning to create the illusion of her wearing her uniform not that she went and changed into it before coming here….

"What do you mean-WAIT!? You two know each other!?" Misaka asked in disbelief, as Asher grabbed her wrist to guide her out of the alley, ignoring how she tried to break out of her grip.

"Come on Mikoto…." Asher said softly as she looked over her shoulder, seeing the annoyed look on her face. "You've caused enough damage already. I don't need you adding something else to my list that I need to do or fix."

"But I didn't even do anything that bad!" Misaka shouted, seeing Asher deadpan as she adjusted her Anti-Amps just a bit.

"Tell that to the walls you've permanently damaged."Asher said bluntly as she turned back to look in front of her, hearing Misaka growl at her in frustration.

As they turned the corner out of sight, Kamijou slid down the wall in relief, sitting on the ground.

Thanks for the save, Asher. I'm sorry that I doubted you...

"Zierdan! How far are you going to take me!?" Misaka asked slightly annoyed, as Asher still maintained a tight hold on her wrist after turning towards another path within the alley.

"Well you sound like you're in a bad mood..." Asher said with slight amuse in her voice, not turning to look at her.

"I just don't understand why you intervened!" Misaka grumbled. "I had that situation completely handled!"

"Mikoto just calm down for a second, I know you didn't need my help or anything." Asher stated with a sigh as they came to a stop in the middle of the alley way, letting go of her wrist.

"I was more concerned for the poor walls and floor you were attacking."

"Right, you were just trying to stop me from hitting that annoying idiot…." Misaka said as she rolled her eyes. "How do you even know each other anyway?"

"He happens to be one of the high schoolers I had to tutor during my punishment these last few weeks." Asher said as she leaned on the wall behind her. "Now it's your turn: why were you chasing him earlier, even though he didn't attack you?"

"How long were you even there?" Misaka asked in slight confusion.

"Mikoto, it isn't logical to avoid the question, by just asking another question….." Asher said with a sigh. "But if you must know, I was there from the beginning, you just didn't notice."

"You couldn't have been," Misaka said mostly to herself. "I didn't even see you when I-"

Her eyes widened in realization, remembering how Kamijou had been confused when seeing Asher earlier…

["Wait, you were just wearing casual clothes earlier…" He said as he pointed, causing her to turn to look at him in slight confusion. "When did you put your uniform on?"

"I don't know what you're referring to, Kamijou, since I've been wearing this all morning," Asher said with a stoic look on her face. "So you must've imagined it…"]

"Light manipulation…." Misaka concluded, seeing Asher nod, causing her to sigh. "If you were there, why were you hiding from me?"

"No reason." Asher said as she looked away from her, rubbing the back of her neck nervously. "I'm surprised you didn't sense me with that radar of yours."

"Well, I'm currently sensing something up with that statement." Misaka said as she looked at her skeptically. "You look like you're hiding something…."

"I could say the same for you," Asher said, trying to derail the conversation from herself. "Since I'm still waiting for you to answer my question regarding why you were chasing a random boy. Is he a secret boyfriend you haven't told me about?"

"HUH!?" Misaka said in disbelief as her face heated up. "What gave you that idea!? Of course, that idiot isn't my boyfriend!"

"Could've fooled me, Mikoto." Asher said with smile on her face, somewhat amused at how flustered her friend got with her comment. "I don't think I've seen you chase anything that fast when there isn't a Gekota figurine involved, so that's the only logical conclusion I can come to since you don't seem to want to answer the question."

"What is with you this morning!?" Misaka asked annoyed as she pointed, seeing Asher shrugging her shoulders. "It's not even 9 o'clock yet and you're already teasing me! It's too early for that!"

After things had calmed down between them, Misaka let out a sigh as Asher waited patiently for her answer.

"Anyway, to answer your question, I honestly was just chasing him to test something…." Misaka said as Asher stoically looked over at her.

"Does it happen to be due to what happened when you tried to hit him with your electricity the first time?" Asher asked, seeing surprise fall on Misaka's face before nodding at her conclusion.

"Yeah basically, I'm guessing you saw it too, right? " Misaka asked as Asher nodded her head again.

"I did since I got there basically around the same time as the both of you." Asher stated. "Even if it wasn't powered up all the way, he was able to basically negate your attack with just the use of that hand of his. It didn't seem like he just deflected it, though, it was almost like it was completely cancelled out."

"So I wasn't just imagining things," Misaka said before realization came on her face. "Wait, was that why you intervened?"

"You could say that was one of the reasons since when I saw it, it made me borderline cautious of allowing your confrontation with him to go any further than it had." Asher said as she crossed her arms. "As you said earlier, I was initially there to help him out. What you probably don't know is that I actually tried to stop the initial attack you sent towards him, but just like your electricity, my gravity dimensions were completely dispelled when he touched it without realizing it."

"But that can't be possible…" Misaka said in shock. "No one should be able to tell where your dimensions are that easily…."

"That would apply if I condensed only parts of the space, as it would be harder for most to pinpoint where they start or end." Asher said tiredly. "In this situation, though, I attempted to create a flat barrier right in front of him using the entire space I laid out. But just as it was constructed, his hand came up to block your electricity, and simultaneously dispelled my barrier..."

Before she could continue, Asher let out a yawn, causing a small break of her concentration with it nearly dropping the illusion for her outfit completely.

However, Misaka was still able to see her form shift slightly, seeing her Tokiwadai uniform change into something she was not at all surprised for her to see her in for a split second.

Of course, Misaka thought to herself with a sigh.

"So that's what that idiot was talking about before…." Misaka said with a facepalm, as Asher looked over at her in confusion. "Don't give me that confused look, why aren't you wearing your uniform when today was literally the last day of your punishment from doing that in the first place?"

She saw Asher stiffen up a bit, before trying to hide the nervousness on her face and voice.

"I have no clue what you're talking about, Mikoto." Asher rushed out as she looked away from her. "As you can clearly see, I am wearing my uniform. Why would I risk getting in trouble again? That isn't a logical thing to do at all…."

"No it isn't." Misaka said with one of her eyebrows quirked up. "But unsurprisingly, you tend to consistently decide to ignore the logic in that situation…."

Asher was going to retort back, before she let out a sigh, dispelling the image around her to show herself wearing her casual wear.

"How did you figure it out?" Asher asked slumping slightly in defeat.

"By your own lapse of concentration," Misaka replied with slight amuse in her voice. "You must be pretty tired since you can usually keep yourself or something like that hidden for much longer before I figure it out."

"Yeah I know, and that's an understatement..." Asher said yawning again, closing her eyes as she sat her head against the wall behind her. "I'm surprised I haven't fallen over by now. I think I used the last of my energy in trying to analyze what happened, ending in me still being confused on some of the details."

"Yeah I get what you mean," Misaka said with a smile as she walked over, noticing that the girl in front of her was nodding off.

"Come on sleepyhead, if you go along with me to do some shopping, we can save the discussion regarding the idiot and your outfit for another time," She continued as she shook her shoulder slightly to keep her awake. "It shouldn't take me long, so you'll be able to rest a little while at the dorms when we get back."

"Alright fine..." Asher said with a sigh as she slowly moved off the wall, following Misaka from behind. "What do you need to shop for anyway? It didn't seem like you wanted anything when we went together yesterday."

"Oh, just something for Kuroko…." Misaka said over her shoulder, seeing Asher's expression sour slightly. "Today's the-"

"1 month anniversary you and Kuroko became roommates." Asher finished for her with annoyance in her tone. "The same girl that dumped me on top of you in the shower this morning, with me nearly having to go to the hospital due to a fairly decently powered shock from a Level 5 Electromaster who happens to be standing right in front of me."

"Again, sorry about that…." Misaka said with a sweatdrop as she sent her a smile.

"Kuroko should be the one apologizing," Asher stated with a huff. "I nearly returned the gift you convinced me to get for her yesterday after I had time to fully process what happened this morning…."

When Misaka led them out of the alley, they were just about to turn on the sidewalk before they heard someone call their names from behind them, turning around and seeing Saten and Uiharu getting closer and closer to them.

"Oh Uiharu and Saten, Hi guys." Misaka said in slight surprise as Asher sent them a small wave.

"Hey, did something happen over here?" Uiharu said in concern.

"We thought we heard a loud noise over here a little while ago and came to investigate." Saten said as she looked over at Uiharu.

"Oh really?" Misaka said in fake surprise as Asher sent her a deadpan look. "Nothing happened over here, right Z?"

"Technically not." Asher said, causing Misaka's façade to falter slightly. "Though if you're referring to-"

Before she could finish her statement, Misaka slapped a hand over her mouth to prevent her from saying anything else.

"Referring to what?" Saten and Uiharu asked simultaneously.

"Oh, don't mind her!" Misaka said with a closed eyed smile. "She didn't get much sleep last night, so she keeps getting some of her places mixed up. Just like how she had a small mix-up with her uniform this morning, which would be something interesting for the Head Resident to find out about today, right Z?"

They saw some of the color drain from Asher's face, before she let out a sigh.

"Yes….." Asher sighed begrudgingly, with her voice muffled under Misaka's hand.

Satisfied, Misaka let go and turned to look back at Uiharu and Saten.

"Are you two busy?" Misaka asked, seeing Saten and Uiharu shake their heads.

"No, we were just walking around." Saten replied.

"Well if you want, you can come with me and Z to do some shopping." Misaka said with a smile. "And then after that, we can show you around our dorms at Tokiwadai."

"We?" Asher questioned, before Uiharu let out a shocked gasp.

"We'll get to see your rooms at the Tokiwadai dormitory!" Uiharu asked with stars in her eyes as Saten laughed behind her. "It's like a dream come true, so of course we'll come, right Saten?"

"Sure, it would be something interesting to do today." Saten said with a smile.

"But MK….." Asher groaned tiredly. "I thought you said I would be able to sleep when we get back."

"But come on, Asher." Saten said as she sent her a tired look. "Would you rather hang out with us for the time being or go into your room by yourself and nap all day?"

"Do you really want to know my answer?" Asher deadpanned, before feeling Misaka nudge her on the shoulder.

"Don't take your crankiness out on them, Z…." Misaka said with a sigh.

"Awww, you wound me, Asher!" Saten whined playfully as fake tears streamed down her eyes. "We've known each for almost a full week, but you still close your heart to both me and Uiharu. Oh woe is me!"

"I can't believe you said such a thing," Uiharu said in tears, as she played along with Saten. "I don't think my heart can take such words…."

"You two are so dramatic…." Asher said with a sigh, causing the girls around her to laugh. "If only Kuroko allowed me to sleep this morning, I would have maybe been more motivated to entertain it."

"I guess that's our cue to go ahead and go," Misaka said as she laughed under her breath, putting her hands on Asher's shoulders to guide her towards the shopping area. "If we don't hurry up, Z is going to end up trying to sneak off to go and sleep on a random bench somewhere…."

Asher let out another sigh at that, hearing Saten and Uiharu laughing behind her as they walked towards Seventh Mist. She looked over her shoulder to look at Misaka behind her, seeing her send her a smile when she noticed she was looking at her.

I guess this isn't so bad, Asher thought to herself as she returned Misaka's smile with a small smile of her own as she looked back in front of her.

["But come on, Asher," Saten said as she sent her a tired look. "Would you rather hang out with us for the time being or go into your room by yourself and nap all day?"]

Even though the latter would make me more comfortable, the first isn't a total waste of the rest of my energy…

About Two hours later...

"Are you sure you should give that to Kuroko, MK?" Asher asked as they arrived to the entrance of the dorms.

They had spent a long while in Seventh Mist, trying to help out Misaka to pick a gift for Shirai where she finally settled on purchasing a yellow shirt that had a pink bunny on the front with the words 'USA' going down the side of it.

"Yeah, is there something wrong with it?" Misaka asked slightly confused. "You didn't seem against it went I purchased it. You usually tell me when I shouldn't buy something…"

"Do you ever listen to me when I do?" Asher asked bluntly, causing Misaka to sweatdrop. "Maybe I didn't feel like saying anything this time, as I knew it would be a futile effort to do so."

"Do you all have doubts about my gift?" Misaka sighed as she slumped slightly in defeat as Saten and Uiharu laughed from next to her.

"I actually think it looks cute Misaka." Saten said as Uiharu nodded her head from next to her.

"Yeah same here!" Uiharu said triumphantly.

"Well," Misaka said as she straightened her back confidently. "It sounds like Saten and Uiharu agree that it's a perfect gift. Got anything you want to say against it, Z?"

"I never said that it was a bad gift..." Asher sighed tiredly. "All I asked is if you should give it to a girl who is borderline crazy in terms of her affection for you. If she knew you got matching underwear with her shirt, what do you think she would do with that information?"

"Aw come on, Z." Misaka replied with a smile, seeing the girl in front of her send her back a stoic gaze. "I know you two aren't on the best of terms right now, but don't you think you're overexaggerating a little?"

"Not at all to be honest." Asher said bluntly, causing Misaka to sweatdrop. "I think I've read the situation fairly well. Something I thought you would understand, being you are the one who shocks her basically everyday due to it."

"She has a point," Saten said behind Misaka before she could retort back.

"I also see the logic in her statement…" Uiharu said with a smile, causing Misaka to deflate slightly in disbelief.

Great, she somehow turned them against me, Misaka thought to herself as she saw Asher slow to a halt in front of the dormitory doors.

"Is there something wrong, Asher?" Saten asked slightly confused, seeing the girl mess with her Anti-Amps before seeing the highlights in her hair turn purple for a couple seconds.

"No there isn't." Asher said without turning to look at them as her highlights faded back to their usual blue and adjusted the volume down for her ears. "I was just checking to see if the Head Resident was close by."

"Because of how you're not wearing your uniform right?" Uiharu asked hearing Asher and Misaka both let out a sigh for her answer.

"That's more or less correct." Misaka said as she gave Asher's back a stern look. "She constantly likes to break that rule, knowing it always ticks off the Head Resident when she does it."

"It's not like I'm actively trying to get on her bad side, MK, since she's pretty scary to cross on occasion." Asher said as she looked at them with a bored look on her face. "It's just that I don't inherently like wearing it 24/7, especially on days I'm either stressed out or annoyed. It makes me even more uncomfortable than I usually am when wearing it."

"Well what happens if she actually finds out about it this time?" Saten asked.

"If she finds out, my break for the summer is pretty much screwed…" Asher said matter of factly. "She said that if she found me not wearing it again, she would force me to assist a teacher named Miss Yomikawa every day during the summer, who actually happens to be a teacher at the high school that I usually tutor at during most of my punishments."

"Even though that doesn't sound all that great, I'm sure a teacher like her wouldn't give you anything that rigorous since school would be out." Saten said confidently before seeing Asher lay her back against the brick wall behind her.

"You would think so, but that teacher wouldn't let me get off that easily." Asher said as looked up in the sky. "She's nice to be around so I would probably not complain all too much. She also doesn't tend to push me to do something she knows I would be uncomfortable with, but since she trusts me, she would probably have me stay with her as she's working at her other job in Anti-Skill, which would be pretty lackluster at best if I just sat around there all day."

"Ugh, I don't understand you sometimes." Misaka said with a facepalm. "You knew this would happen. You always like to analyze things and find the logic in most situations, but why is that this is always the one thing you tend to not use that brain of yours for?"

"Now it sounds like you're the one who's overexaggerating." Asher stated as she sent a sideways glance at her. "It's not like I didn't think about the consequences of doing it today of all days, MK. I've just haven't had the best morning, which is something that I think you're also quite well aware of as to why."

How many times do I need to apologize for that? Misaka thought to herself with a sweatdrop.

"Wait, what happened this morning?" Uiharu asked, seeing Asher move off the wall to walk through the doors of the dorm.

"A variety of things…" Asher said as she split her concentration by distorting the light around her to create a small illusion of her wearing her uniform. She held the door enough for all of them to walk in.

That's so cool! Uiharu and Saten thought simultaneously as Misaka let out a sigh.

"But I guess the biggest one is that I only got about 1-2 hours of sleep last night from my Anti-Amps unfortunately powering off due to the battery being broken." Asher continued. "My ears can get overly sensitive to the sound around me more so at night, with last night being the apparent time that it was pretty severe, keeping me up until around 5 in the morning when I was finally able to somewhat ignore it."

"Wait really?" Misaka asked in slight concern. "Kuroko didn't tell me that you were up that early or that your hearing sensitivity was severe last night. She only told me that you had trouble sleeping due to your Amps not filtering out enough noise for your ears."

"She most likely said that because before I left this morning, I asked her to say something like that to you if you asked." Asher said as she rubbed the back of her neck, not seeing Misaka's eyes widen in shock. "I just didn't want you to think that you could have done something about it by charging the backup battery I have. You were already sleep when it happened and it didn't feel right for me to mess with you…"

"Zierdan…." Misaka said as she put a hand on her shoulder for her to stop walking, seeing her look back with her eyebrows raised in surprise. "You're not messing with me by waking me up to do something that could help you go to sleep. I would have gladly charged them without any complaints at all. I know how painful and irritating that can be for you when something like that happens."

"I know…." Asher said as she looked off to the side. "I just…"

They heard her take in a deep breath before letting out a heavy sigh, lowering her head to look towards the ground.

"I just wanted to try and handle it myself…" Asher said in a low voice with some semblance of sadness somewhere within her tone. "I was still able to think clear enough, meaning it wasn't overriding my thought process all that much. I thought it would get better over time, which it did, but just happened to be later than I originally thought it was going to be."

"Is it wrong or strange that I wanted something like that, MK?" Asher questioned without looking towards them. "…wanted to be able to just do something as simple as sleeping without these stupid devices in my ears all the time. I've had them for almost 2 years now, and I'm still having trouble with controlling this nearly debilitating hearing sensitivity of mine that ironically happened because of me entirely."

Saten looked over and saw Misaka mouth open slightly in either shock or surprise before she closed it, forming a firm line on her lips as her eyebrows were knitted in concern as her gaze lowered towards the ground. It looked like she knew what Asher was referring to, trying to figure out the best way to go about the situation as a whole.

Even though she knew it would probably be overstepping some boundaries since she hadn't know either of them that long, Saten still walked a couple steps towards the two as she laid a hand on top of Misaka's hand that was on Asher's shoulder, seeing the both of them turn to look at her in confusion though not rejecting the contact.

"Nothing is wrong in trying to take care of something by yourself, Asher, as there are some things in this world that require it." Saten said before a small smile came over her face.

"But, there are times that you need to look at the people around you who care about whatever is happening to you and embrace their help, not ignoring it or turning it down, thinking it would bother someone like Misaka and Shirai or me and Uiharu on that matter."

"You and Uiharu?" Asher asked in with surprise shining in her eyes. "But we've only known each other for almost 5 days now. Why bother the two of you with something as personal as that? Isn't that inappropriate to a degree, since we haven't known each other all that long?"

"We may have not known each other all that long," Uiharu said from behind her, walking up and laying a hand on her other shoulder. "But we've known you long enough to be concerned for your well-being, and we're your friends so of course you can come to us about something like that!"

Asher went silent at that, turning to look forward as her head was still tilted towards the ground.

But why doesn't that make any sense to me? Asher thought to herself.

I understand why Mikoto feels obligated for something like that, but why do those two or Kuroko for that matter? They've known me for such a short amount of time that it doesn't seem fair that I could drag them down with issues that I should be able to handle myself…..

Talking about issues concerning mostly myself that Mikoto always seems to have to fix, leaving me the only one that benefits from it. It's such an illogical thing to-

Her thoughts were broken when she felt soft touch on her head, prompting her to look and see Misaka standing there with a small smile on her face as she held her index finger in the center of her forehead.

When did she…get in front of me?

"It isn't an illogical thing for them to do that, Zierdan." Misaka said as Asher's eyes widened. "From the look on your face, that's what you were just thinking right? I've told you multiple times before that you shouldn't keep hiding stuff like that to yourself. Stop letting yourself become trapped in a corner from overanalyzing the reasons behind things too much. Especially when it comes to people that consider you to be their friend."

She felt her cheeks heat up slightly after hearing that, lowering her head even more as a sigh came out of her mouth as she put her hands in her pockets.

"Alright I understand. I will try to keep that in mind from now on." Asher replied, feeling Misaka's finger move away from her forehead. "I'm sorry if my words came across as rude or anything. I'm just not in a great mood today, I guess-"

She felt 2 arms hook around her neck, before she had time to say anything else, looking and seeing both Saten and Uiharu on both sides of her.

"You don't have to apologize for that. We didn't think you were being mean." Uiharu said with a smile on her face. "And it didn't hurt our feelings."

"It's enough that we actually get to see you embarrassed for once," Saten said amusedly, seeing Asher's blush brightening even more as time progressed. "I don't think you've blushed this hard for the short time that we've known each other."

"It's not from embarrassment at all."Asher stated slightly flustered. "It's not my fault that my face decides to act that way."

She heard both of them laugh as she raised her head to look at Misaka in front of her, who wore an amused smile on her face.

"Please remove them from my body, MK." Asher whined. "I'm too tired to do anything. They didn't even ask for permission to do it…."

"Because they knew if they had asked, you would've most likely said no," Misaka said as she laughed under her breath. "So, I think that was a valid reason for them to surprise you with it. If you didn't like it, you would have used that energy of yours to prevent it versus just standing there and taking it."

They heard Asher let out a sigh as she slumped slightly in defeat causing all of them to laugh, missing the small smile that had slowly began to grow on her face.

Blankow: Thanks and I'm happy that you're liking this story so far:`)

I thought so as well in terms of Touma getting people to talk. I knew that if he did the 'sorry you had to wait' with Z, she would have been more open to doing it than Misaka, since she already has an idea of his overall character and she's not as reluctant of help from him as Misaka is in terms of those situations…

I'm glad that you're finding Z's backstory interesting so far. I thought that the addition of the medical records and logs would help in adding to her character as a whole and giving some explanation to the concepts behind her esper ability and overall background since it will just be seen in bits and pieces for right now….They (logs/medical records) will appear in some but not all of the chapters (as seen by this one and the next)...

As kind of seen in this and mostly the last chapter, Yomikawa and her have a fairly trusting relationship, that you'll see overtime…guardianship is kind of in the air since she more or less lives in the dorms, but I can say for certain that she does look up to her in a parent/mentor figure kind of way, so we'll see…

Accelerator and her interactions may not come for a while, but they will be interesting to say the least, which I'll be looking forward to show you guys at some point;).

Bornkiller9: I'm happy that you liked Chapter 3! It's probably one of my favorite chapters as well since it introduces some of the Index characters along with setting up some of Asher's character more...Even though this is focused towards the science side, you will see her interactions with some of the other index characters overtime as well...

In terms of Touma's harem, as of right now, I don't envision her becoming a part of it, but in terms of comedic moments they'll still have them….I may change my mind later, though, so it will just depend on how their relationship develops throughout the story…;)

Sorry if I left the last chapter on a cliffhanger (especially since it took me a while to get out these last set of chapters). But I hope you enjoyed how their exchange turned out overall even though it was fairly short and sweet….

Mosdra Kazuma: I'd say Asher's relationship with Misaki is more civil in comparison to Misaka's relationship with her, but they aren't anywhere close to being considered friends…They have some understanding of each other but I'd say it's complicated all around, as they don't inherently hate each other but, at the same time, cant stand each other (more so on Asher's end) when in each other's presence for an extended period of time…you'll be able to see some of their interactions soon…..

I can say for certain, though, that Asher has no clue about her (Misaki's) connection to Touma's past, as her (Asher) current relationship with Touma is fairly new ;)

Kaore Ryu: (at the end of the next chapter to consider some of things that happen in it for my answer:)
