Since exiled from Kara's sight, Mon worked for Agamemnon, King of Greece, as his champion. After some decent shit-talking, King Agamemnon called on Mon to kill his rival's champion to spare hundreds of lives on both sides. Mon, however, was still in his hut drunk as fuck with two women sleeping next to him. A messenger boy came to wake him up, but Mon reflexively grabbed him by the throat.
"I was having a dream about a threesome," Mon said annoyed, and then eyed the sleeping women next to him. "I guess it wasn't a dream."
"King Agamemnon sent me. He needs to...," the boy stammered.
"I'll speak to your king in the morning," Mon said dismissively.
"But, my lord, it is morning," the boy pointed out. "They're waiting for you."
"No shit?" Mon wondered. He quickly got up, put on his gi uniform, boots, gloves, and Insane chest armor. He then went outside his hut still hungover.
"Are the stories true?" the boy asked. "They say your mother was a goddess."
"My mother was a bitch," Mon corrected.
"They say you can't be killed," the boy continued.
"Well, that's true," Mon allowed.
"The Thessalonian you're fighting...he's the biggest man I've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight him," the boy said fearfully.
Mon considered making a badass retort that would make the boy want to kill himself but refrained from doing so. "It's not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog. That's how you'll be remembered for a thousand years," he told him.
Mon then teleported to the battlefield after sensing thousands of human ki signatures nearby. "Mon-El! Mon-El! Mon-El!" the Greeks shouted upon his arrival.
"Perhaps we should have our war tomorrow when you're well-rested," King Agamemnon quipped.
"Perhaps you should fight him," Mon shot back. "Imagine a king that fights his own battles. What a sight that would be."
"I think I hate him," King Agamemnon said under his breath.
Mon casually walked towards the Thessalonian champion with a sword in his hand. The Thessalonian threw a spear at him. Mon simply dodged it, charged him, leaped up, and punctured his shoulder deep with his sword. The Thessalonian champion, having been stabbed through his lung and heart fell dead instantly.
Mon then walked up to the Thessalonian formation. "Is there no one else?" he challenged.
"Who are you, soldier?" the Thessalonian king asked ignorantly.
"Mon, son of Mon," Mon replied.
"Mon? I'll remember the name," the Thessalonian king said humbly. "What I do now, I do to save lives."
"It will, starting with your own," Mon assured him.
The Thessalonian king then knelt before Mon in submission. Greece was now united as one nation again.
Constantbul
Kara was a guest at a grand party before the officials of Constantbul. "On our last night together, I salute you. We've had our conflicts before, it's true. We fought many battles here, Christians, Catholics, Orthodox, Muslims, Scientists, and so on, and fought well. I have always respected the history of this place. King Priam is a good man. I respect him as my ally. Prince Paris, drink with me," Kara complimented.
"Let us drink to peace," Kara toasted. "Peace between the Empire and the Turks."
"May our science keep the wolves in the hills and the women in our beds," Prince Paris said.
"That's a queer toast but I'll go along with it," Kara agreed.
As the party continued, Kara gave Paris a glance and went upstairs to her room. Paris followed her and found the door to her room open. He boldly entered and found Kara waiting for him. "You shouldn't be here," she mock-scolded.
"That's what you said last night," Paris pointed out.
"Last night was a mistake," Kara realized.
"That's what you said the night before," Paris reminded her.
"I've made many mistakes this week," Kara admitted.
Paris massaged her shoulders and then suddenly clasped a synthetic Kryptonite necklace around her neck. Kara felt her throat tighten and her power vanish. "What is the meaning of this? You want to kill me?" Kara asked distressed.
"If I killed you, Prince Mon-El would annihilate my city and the rest of the planet for good measure. No, I intend to keep you as a hostage to neutralize you and keep Prince Mon-El at bay until I can figure out how to kill him," Paris replied.
"Mon-El would rather kill us both. You have no leverage," Kara told him off.
"I'm not afraid of him or dying," Paris said seriously.
"You should be," Kara said darkly knowing what Mon was capable of.
"The truth is that I love you. Haven't you wanted to know how it feels to make love as a human at our level, weak and vulnerable?" Paris asked her.
Kara felt the Kryptonite necklace as it weakened and burned her fingers. "A little," she admitted.
Athens
Brainiac 5 came before Mon after he had become "acquainted" with every queen of the Greece city-states. "I have rather importance intelligence for you," Brainiac 5 said.
There was an awkward silence between them until Mon got the hint. "Bitches, leave," he ordered them all out of the room. "What is it now?"
"The Turks have captured Kara with a Kryptonite necklace. She is now their hostage," Brainiac 5 informed him.
Mon smirked amused. "And how would the Turks have manufactured this necklace?" he asked suspiciously.
"Synthetic Kryptonite is super-easy, barely an inconvenience to manufacture with common elements on this planet," Brainiac 5 said coyly.
"Any reason I should care? Her consistent incompetence when it comes to her weakness bores me," Mon said disdainfully.
"She is your wife and the mother of your children. Should she be slain or...defiled, it would tarnish your reputation," Brainiac 5 pointed out.
"Would it?" Mon laughed. "I'd simply destroy the planet with all of its inhabitants. No one would know."
"Which is why your children are in an undisclosed location on this planet under power dampeners so you can't sense their ki," Brainiac 5 said.
"You bastard," Mon said impressed. "Very well. I shall save the queen once again, but I will do it the Insane way."
Mon teleported near King Agamemnon's court and barged in. Agamemnon had already been informed of the situation by Brainiac 5 advising him. "I want her back," Mon told him.
"Of course, you do. She's a beautiful woman," Agamemnon said condescendingly.
"I won't rest until I burn the Turkish Empire to the ground," Mon said seriously.
"I thought you wanted peace with the Turks," Agamemnon said confused.
"You must be confusing me with someone else. I've never supported peace," Mon scoffed.
"Peace is for the women and the weak. Empires are forged by war," Agamemnon observed.
"Damn straight," Mon agreed.
"You're a man of honor, Prince Mon-El. Everyone in Greece knows this," Agamemnon flattered.
"The Turks spat on my honor. An insult to me is an insult to you and to Greece," Mon said.
"If you say so," Agamemnon said agreeably.
"Will you go to war with me?" Mon asked.
"Just teleport to their capital and blow it up, destroy their armies with your strength," Agamemnon said reasonably.
"No, we do it with soldiers," Mon demanded.
"Well...shit," Agamemnon frowned.
As the Greeks assembled their fleet, Mon had a dream of his mother, Rhea. "Mother...tonight, I decide."
"If you stay in Greece, you will find peace. You will find a wonderful human woman to be your servant. Your son and daughter will have children of their own. And they will love you. When you are gone, they will remember you. But when your children are dead and their children after them, your name will be lost," Rhea said.
"I find that unlikely," Mon disagreed. "I have a day named after me."
"But if you fight the Turks, glory will be yours. They will write stories about your victories for thousands of years. This world will remember your name. And if you fight the Turks, it will be super-easy, barely an inconvenience for you," Rhea predicted.
"Nice," Mon smiled.
"But if you save your Kryptonian bitch wife, you will never come home. Your love for her walks hand-in-hand with your doom...and I shall never see you again," Rhea warned.
"You know this to be true?" Mon asked skeptically.
"I know this," Rhea confirmed.
The next day, the Greek fleet set sail toward the Turks. Oblivious to the danger, the Turks paraded their new hostage in the streets of Constantbul. Prince Paris waved to the crowds from his open vehicle with Kara by his side. The Turks were jubilant Kara was now in their hands. "My son," King Priam greeted Prince Paris with Kara at his side.
"Father," Paris addressed. "This is Kara."
"Kara of Krypton?" Priam assumed.
"Kara of Constantbul," Paris corrected.
"I've heard rumors of your beauty. For once, the gossips were right," King Priam said to her.
"Gossips are always right," Kara said offended.
"Welcome," King Priam said warmly. "Come, you must be tired from that Kryptonite necklace."
"Any chance you might take it off?" Kara asked hopefully.
Priam ignored her and talked with his nobleman on the situation. Paris greeted his cousin, Briseis. "Beloved cousin, you look hawt," Paris complimented.
"I'm a researcher at the observatory now," she gushed.
"The young men of Constantbul were devastated when they found out she'd be a virgin nerd her whole life," Priam said.
"That is far from certain, uncle," Briseis said defensively.
"Thank science for your safe return. To science," Priam toasted with glasses of wine.
"To science," Paris clinked glasses.
That evening, Kara was placed in Paris' princely quarters. She looked distressed as the necklace was taking its toll. She felt aggravation and anxiousness. "You know Mon-El will come for me, right?" she asked Paris.
"Enemies have tried to breach our walls for centuries and they have all failed," Paris said confidently. "You miss your home? In England?"
"England was never my home. Nor this planet for that matter. Mon-El is going to burn every town in the Turkish Empire. He'll destroy this city out of spite. You are totally fucked," Kara said.
"I'll walk right up to Mon and tell him you're mine," Paris said confidently.
"Yeah, you go do that," Kara laughed. "I just noticed something. You're very young."
"We're the same age," Paris pointed out.
"I know," Kara smiled and then unclothed herself.
With the Greek fleet approaching, Constantbul's armies prepared for war, and the civilians were led inside the fortress city. Constantbul was fortified with tall walls capable of withstanding artillery and shell bombardments, anti-aircraft missiles and guns, and enough provisions to supply the population for a large siege. Still, the Turks wanted to weed out as many of the Greek transport ships as they could. The Turkish army arrived on the beach and waited patiently for the Greeks to arrive. In front of the Greek fleet was Mon's transport ship with an appropriate black pirate flag.
Mon had recruited 50 mercenaries he considered decent to storm the beach. His XO was Eudoros, a cautious prudent man to balance Mon's Insane tendencies. "Shouldn't we wait for the others?" Eudoros asked anxiously as they were about to storm the beach all by themselves.
"The fuck for?" Mon wondered.
"Yes, but Agamemnon's orders," Eudoros reminded him.
"Fuck that guy, you fight for me," Mon corrected. He then turned to all of his men in the boat. "You are the fiercest men of Greece. You are all willing to bleed and die for me."
"Hooah!" they shouted.
"My brothers of the sword, I'd rather fight beside you than any other army of thousands. Let no men forget how badass we are. We are Insane!"
"Fuck yeah!" they shouted.
"You know what's there, waiting, beyond that beach?" Mon asked them.
"Thousands of soldiers with machine guns, rifles, grenades, and artillery?" one asked.
"Immortality!" Mon shouted. "Take it, it's yours!"
On the beach, Prince Paris addressed his troops. "All my life, I've lived by a simple code: All honor, women, and land belong to me. I am father to you all. Fight for me!"
The Turkish army grumbled as they headed towards the beach with tanks, gun trucks, troop carriers, and jeeps. By the time the Greeks arrived, the beach was heavily armed. Mon's boat made landfall and immediately the Turks lit him up with machinegun and rifle fire. Mon's men started getting hit and falling in droves. The Turkish artillery fired on the beach blasting sand into the air. Several of Mon's soldiers fell into the water to escape the gunfire.
The other Greek ships fared no matter as they were ripped up by machinegun fire and artillery fire. Men were falling all over the beach from gunshot wounds while others exploded from shells. Limbs and equipment were blown high into the air. Greek ships were hit directly killing scores of men at once. On the beach, there was relatively no cover and barbed wire prevented easy advance. In desperation, Greeks took the armor and ammunition of seriously wounded or dead soldiers as they tried to move up.
"Form up," Mon ordered his men as he walked onto the beach.
His remaining soldiers, numbering thirty or so, formed up very close to Mon. The Turks, naturally, turned all their guns on the mass. Mon powered up an energy shield around himself and his soldiers and marched slowly up the beach hill. Turkish gunfire bounced off the energy shield no matter how intense it was. "On my command," Mon prepped his men. "Break off, break off!"
The Greeks broke from Mon as his shield dissipated and charged the Turks overwhelming a squad in the area. While his soldiers used rifles and grenades, Mon simply used a sword. Relatively immune to their firepower, Mon went about slaughtering Turks with his sword as he moved up. Turkish armored units then arrived on the scene to deal with the Greeks.
Mon ignored these armored units and continued to move his men up the hill until he reached the top. There, he slaughtered Turks waiting for him. Mon made a path towards an observatory perched on the hill to give himself and his men some cover. He took down all of the Turkish defenders as he cut a path to the entrance. Mon finally made it to the entrance with bodies all around him and human blood all over his chest armor. At this point, the Greeks began to overwhelm the beach and the Turks started to retreat back to their city.
"Take whatever treasure you can find," Mon said to his men. They gleefully went inside and looted the place. Turkish armored units led by Prince Paris arrived on the scene. "Warn the men," Mon ordered Eudoros. "Wait, give me your missile launcher."
Eudoros handed his missile launcher over to Mon. With careful aim, Mon fired at the Turks. The missile went through the windshield of an armored truck, struck the driver in the chest, and then shrapnel bounced around the truck's interior, killing all the soldiers inside. The truck then exploded from the inside. "Now, you can warn the men," Mon said to an amazed Eudoros.
In defiance, Prince Paris fired his own missile launcher at Mon which he simply avoided. Mon then teased Paris by going inside. Unable to get to him with their vehicles, the Turks dismounted in squads and entered the observatory slowly, thoughtfully, and tactically, and then got ambushed by Mon's men. Prince Paris escaped the ambush only to find several Turkish scientists had been slain along with all of their work destroyed.
"You're very brave or very stupid to come after me alone," Mon remarked. "You must be Paris. Do you know who I am?" he asked as he stepped out of the shadows.
"These scientists weren't armed," Paris pointed out.
"Yeah," Mon said dismissively.
"Fight me!" Paris challenged.
"Why fight you now, Prince of Constantbul, with no one to see you fall?" Mon asked rhetorically and then casually went outside. He noticed the Greeks swarming the beaches like ants.
"Why did you come here?" Paris demanded of him.
"You stole my wife, remember?" Mon reminded him. Mon's men then surrounded Paris, the last man standing. "Go home, drink wine, and do not make love to my wife. I'll know if you did. Tomorrow, we will have our war."
As Paris was allowed to leave, Mon turned to Eudoros. "Take all the loot back to the boat." Mon's men proceeded to take telescopes, microscopes, bottles of chemicals, monkeys, and other science stuff back to their boat.
For the rest of the day, the Greeks fortified their position on the beach and made tents. "I have something to show you," Eudoros said to Mon as he approached his tent. Inside, he found a table with some wine, a water sink, a horn, a bed on the floor, and a girl.
"I found her in the observatory. I figured she would...amuse you," Eudoros said delicately.
"Good work," Mon praised and then dismissed him. He then took off his Insane armor revealing his muscular bare chest filled with battle scars. "What's your name?" Mon ordered the girl as he took off his boots. She remained silent, defiant.
"Did you not hear me?" Mon pressed.
"You killed those scientists. Science will have its vengeance," she said angrily.
Mon took off his gi becoming completely naked in front of her. "Science doesn't have a personality or a will. It does not give a fuck who studies it."
"Science will strike you down," she insisted.
"I think science is afraid of me," Mon said wide-eyed.
"Science masters everything. It's not afraid of anyone," she said. "You're nothing but a killer. You wouldn't know anything about science."
"I know more about science than your scientists. My Insane armor is impenetrable and extremely hard yet flexible. I have traveled to more planets than you're even aware of. I can repair the warp drive on a fighter. I can survive wormholes. I have seen shit," Mon told her off. Upon seeing the girl still hating on him, Mon decided to put on a bathrobe to cover up.
"You're royalty, aren't you?" Mon figured. "The way you talk back against men, the smell of your hair. You must be royalty. If you don't tell me your name, I'm just going to call you 'science bitch' from now on."
"It's Briseis," she relented.
"Are you afraid, Briseis?" Mon asked.
"Should I be?" she asked fearfully.
"Yeah," Mon said darkly.
Eudoros entered Mon's tent to cockblock him. "King Agamemnon requests your presence. The kings are gathering to celebrate the victory."
"Tell them, I'd rather amuse myself with my monkey," Mon replied.
"My Lord," Eudoros said and then exited the tent.
Mon turned back to Briseis. "What do you want here in Constantbul?" she asked him.
"My wife back for starters," Mon said. "I want what all men want: women. I just want more of them. You don't need to fear me, girl. You're the only Turk that can say that."
Mon eventually went to King Agamemnon's tent as he was doing his political bullshit with all the kings beneath him. "Leave us," he said as Mon entered.
"Apparently...," Mon said and then let it hang. The two stared at each other in awkward silence. "You won a great victory," Mon mocked.
"Perhaps, you didn't notice. The Turkish beach belonged to King Priam in the morning and now it belongs to me," King Agamemnon said arrogantly.
"You can keep the sand," Mon mocked.
"No, you came to get your queen back and to make a mockery of humanity. A great victory was won here today, but that victory is not yours. It was a human victory and that is how history will remember this battle."
"Humans fighting other humans don't impress me," Mon rolled his eyes.
"Tomorrow, we'll batter down the gates of Constantbul. I'll build monuments of myself on every island of Greece. My name will last through the ages. Your name is written in sand, an alien warlord that came and went from this world once it no longer amused him," Agamemnon told him off.
"Be careful, king of kings, you need a victory," Mon said obviously.
"Your men sacked the observatory, yes?" Agamemnon questioned.
"What of it?" Mon asked impatiently.
"It appears you didn't process this POW appropriately," Agamemnon said as Briseis was hauled into the tent by two guards.
"Release her or you die," Mon said seriously to the guards.
"Guards!" Agamemnon shouted.
Mon was quickly surrounded by a squad of guards inside the tent. "Stop! Too many people have died today. If killing is your only talent, that's your curse. I don't want anyone dying for me," Briseis spoke up.
Mon lowered his hand relenting to her wish. "Mighty Mon-El, silenced by a science girl. Tonight, I'll have her give me a bath. And then...who knows?" Agamemnon mocked.
"Sack of shit!" Mon spat. "Before my time is done, I will look upon your corpse and smile." Mon then left the tent in a huff.
Constantbul
King Priam, Prince Paris, and Kara were present for a funeral procession. While most of the casualties were Greek, there were still substantial Turkish casualties from the battle. Kara shook her head dismayed at what was happening here. Mon could have easily killed Paris, easily teleported to her location, easily taken the Kryptonite necklace off her, and easily taken her out of this mess.
King Priam held a council meeting to discuss the war. "What is the science?" he asked them all.
"The best of us are better than the best of Greece," Glaucus declared.
"We're outnumbered two to one," Archeptolemus brought up.
"Our walls have never been breached, we have the finest marksman in the world, and we have Paris whose men would fight on the dark side of the moon if he commanded. Yes, we can win!" Glaucus said confidently.
"And what of the Insane prince?" King Priam asked concernedly.
"He fights at the same level as a man. He will not unleash his powers to give himself an unfair advantage. He is strong but he is just one man," Glaucus said.
"This is not a dispute between two nations but two men. I will challenge Mon-El. The winner will take Kara home. The loser will burn before nightfall," Paris said and then left the council meeting.
Later that night, King Priam met up with Paris. "I'm sorry for the pain I have caused you," Paris said sincerely.
"Do you love her?" Priam asked directly.
"I love her very much, every strand of her hair, her skin, her curves, and edges. I love all of her," Paris said.
"I've fought many wars in my time, some for land, for power, for glory, but never for love," Priam said reflectively. He then handed Paris a sword. "This sword, created by science, is the sharpest any sword could possibly be. Carry it with you tomorrow. The science of Constantbul is in that sword. So long as you carry it, our people have a future."
Meanwhile, Kara attempted to escape the city on foot. Paris quickly captured her again. "What the fuck are you doing?" Paris demanded of her.
"Let me go," Kara said to him. "I saw all those bodies burn. It's your fault. But it's also my fault for letting you capture me like this. All those widows. I still hear them screaming. Their husbands died because of you and because of me. I've assessed the situation and I'm going to leave."
"No, you're not. You're still my hostage," Paris reminded her.
"Kill me then. Anything is better than this," Kara said emotionally.
"Too late for that. The Greeks don't give a fuck about you. This is about power, not love," Paris told her.
"You're going to fight Mon in the morning? You won't win," Kara predicted.
"I won't let that happen," Paris said confidently. "You're a princess of Constantbul now, and I need you tonight."
"Well...fuck me," Kara shook her head dismayed.
"Oh...I will," Paris assured her.
The next day, the Greeks prepared for war and moved up to the walls of Constantbul but out of range of most weapon systems. Mon and Agamemnon were in front of the Greek army waiting. Behind the walls, Priam and Kara watched. Paris came forth to meet the Greeks all by himself. "Kara, sit with me," Priam ordered her.
Kara reluctantly took a seat next to him. "All my life, I could never have predicted my son would take an alien queen hostage and start a war with an Insane prince and the Greeks," Priam observed.
"Yes, my king," Kara rolled her eyes.
"Call me Daddy," Priam said gently.
"Forgive my bluntness, but your son is fucked," Kara told him.
"Everything is in the hands of science," Priam said confidently.
Paris came before Agamemnon and Mon under the flag of truce. "Your armies are behind your walls, very well-advised," Agamemnon noted.
"I'm not stupid," Paris said defensively. "You come here uninvited. Go back to your ships and go home."
"I saw, I conquered, I came is how I live my life," Mon told him. "And what prince are you? What kind of man steals another man's wife in the middle of the night."
"Technically, the sun was shining when I kidnapped her," Paris corrected.
"She's up there watching, isn't she?" Mon smirked. "Good. I want her to watch you die."
"Look around you, Paris. I've brought all the soldiers of Greece to your shores. You can still save Constantbul," Agamemnon said to him. "I only have two wishes. No more of your people need die. First, you must give Kara back to Mon. Second, the Turks must submit to my command to fight for me whenever I call upon them."
"I see your army. Not impressed," Paris said dismissively. "I see fifty thousand men brought here to die for one man's greed and for one man's lust for blood."
"If you will not surrender, every man, woman, and child of Constantbul will die," Agamemnon threatened.
"There is another way. I love Kara. I won't give up her and neither will you. So, let us fight our own battle. The winner takes Kara home and let that be the end of it," Paris offered.
"A brave offer but not enough," Agamemnon shot down.
Mon took Agamemnon aside. "Let me kill his ass."
"I didn't come here for your pretty wife. I came here for Constantbul," Agamemnon rejected.
"Let me kill him, then signal to attack," Mon suggested. "You'll have your city; I'll have my revenge."
"Yeah, sure, fuck it," Agamemnon agreed.
Mon turned to Paris. "I accept your challenge and tonight I'll drink wine from your skull." Once the battlefield was just the two of them, Mon aggressively attacked Paris with his sword without even using a shield. Mon hammered on Paris repeatedly with his sword and then kicked Paris to the ground. Mon smiled amused as Paris swung widely missing him each time. Mon lightly punched Paris to the jaw stunning him. The two locked up until Mon threw Paris aside and tossed away his shield. Paris swung at Mon missing completely in a totally telegraphed swing. Mon caught his wrist and twisted. Paris punched Mon in the jaw. Slightly impressed, Mon released Paris. The two swung swords at each other until Mon sliced Paris to the leg dropping him.
Paris got up and swung at Mon in a desperate attempt. Mon disarmed him and threw him down to the ground. Paris then crawled towards his sword. "This is not honor. This is not worthy of royalty. If you don't fight, Constantbul is doomed," Mon chided.
Paris suddenly got up and sliced through Mon's chest with his sword. The sword had gone through Mon's Insane armor, through his chest, and out the other side. Mon gave Paris a stupefied look and fell to the ground mortally wounded. Even Kara was stunned. Mon put two fingers to his forehead and teleported away.
"Attack!" Agamemnon ordered his army.
Paris limped his way to the wall as Greek armored vehicles approached. He finally made his way inside as the Greeks fired upon him. The Turks, relatively safe behind their walls, fired missiles, shells, machine guns, and rifle fire down on the Greeks. The Greeks concentrated their fire on the gate to blast it open. The Turks kept up their rate of fire with troops rotating on the wall. The gate held as the Turks placed vehicles and every heavy object they could find against it. The rest of the wall was hit as well but remained standing. The Greeks attempted to fire above the wall creating damage insi00de the city but without accuracy. Greek tanks and vehicles were quickly being destroyed with accurate missiles and laser fire. Greek Infantry present on the battlefield was getting mowed down.
After a complete slaughter, the Greeks were forced to retreat to the beaches.
Mon teleported to his farm in an undisclosed location. Inside his cabin, he grasped for a bowl of beans as he was bleeding profusely from his neck and chest. Grasping for a bean, he quickly ate it. The senzu bean had done the trick. Mon's injuries healed instantly. Mon then went outside his cottage and powered up to Super Insane. His hair went bright gold, his eyes turned to blue, and golden flames roared around him. His muscles expanded and stretched the limits of his gi. Furious at his defeat, Mon screamed in rage and shook the ground underneath him.
That night, the Greeks were demoralized and beaten. Agamemnon handed Briseis, the science girl, over to the men. Before they could brand and rape her, Mon teleported into the Greek camp and took her away. Mon placed her in his hut and disregarded the Greeks, supposedly his allies. "Are you hurt?" Mon asked her.
"You're supposed to be dead. How?" she said spooked.
"I watched you fight them. You must have courage," Mon said ignoring her question.
"To fight back when people attack me? Even a dog has that courage," Briseis said dismissively.
"Speaking of which, from now on, you're my science bitch," Mon informed her. He attempted to clean her wounds only to be rebuffed. The two fought one another in an extremely petty manner.
"Eat," Mon ordered.
"I've known men like you my whole life," Briseis told him off.
"Not like me," Mon corrected.
"You think you're so different from the Greeks or the Turks? You understand nothing but war. Peace confuses you. I pity you," Briseis said boldly.
"Turkish soldiers died to protect you. Perhaps, they deserve more than your pity," Mon reminded her.
"Why did you choose this life?" Briseis asked him.
"I chose nothing. I was born and this is who I am," Mon said simply. "And you? Why did you choose to love science? I think you'll find the romance one-sided."
"Do you enjoy provoking me?" Briseis asked.
"Yeah," Mon said honestly.
"All science should be feared and respected," she insisted.
"I'll tell you a secret. Something they don't teach you at your universities. All the science, everything you know, everything you'll discover, it's already been researched by a super-computer named Brainiac 5. So...fuck it," Mon told her.
"And here I thought you were just a dumb brute. I still think you're just a dumb brute," Briseis replied.
Mon handed her a knife. Immediately, she went for his throat. "Do it," Mon encouraged her.
"Aren't you afraid?" she asked.
"I'm Insane," Mon reminded her. He held her shoulders and pulled her closer. "Do it."
"You'll kill more men if I don't," Briseis reasoned.
"A shit-ton," Mon confirmed, and then placed her underneath him.
Briseis succumbed to Mon's Insane charm and let go of the knife. Mon then made love to her on the spot.
The next morning, Briseis was sound asleep completely exhausted by Mon's skills. Mon simply watched her as she slept until interrupted by Eudoros. "My Lord, you're alive...," he said stunned.
Mon silenced him so Briseis, his pet, wouldn't wake up. Mon then exited his tent to talk with Eudoros. "Tell the men to load up the ship. We're going home."
"What about your wife?" Eudoros asked. "The reason we're here, to begin with."
"I have a new wife," Mon said dismissively referring to Briseis. "We sail in the morning!" he shouted to his men.
The next morning, the Turks decided not to attack to keep dissension growing among the Greeks. As the Greeks prepared to sail home, Mon decided his honor required him to take down Paris before he did. He teleported right outside Constantbul and demanded a rematch with Paris. He went about walking parallel to the walls shouting "Paris!" as he did.
Paris showed up to the wall wearing his armor and sword but had no intention of fighting Mon. "Yeah, fuck that," he declined.
Mon lost all patience after Paris failed to show. He teleported next to Paris' position, grabbed him, and then teleported him outside the walls. Paris quickly adjusted to the situation and got his bearings. "Time-out," he said wobbly.
"I'm going to cut out your eyes, your tongue, and cut off your ears so you wander hell blind, dumb, and deaf. And all of hell will know, this is Paris who thought he could kill Mon-El," Mon said angrily.
With all of Constantbul watching, Mon and Paris engaged one another in a sword battle. Mon remained aggressive and kept Paris on the defensive. The two clashed once more until Mon elbowed Paris to the chin nearly knocking him out. Paris' swipes became long and highly telegraphed. Mon easily avoided his swipes and punched him back. Paris focused himself and got the better of the fight with a few swipes on Mon's armor. Overconfident, Paris went for another thrust only for Mon to catch his arm. The two locked up, struggling with each other until Mon kicked Paris to the ground.
"Get up," Mon ordered him. "I won't let a stone take my glory."
Paris got up and the two fought furiously with their swords until Mon pushed him back. Once more, the two spun repeatedly as they clashed with their swords until Mon sliced through Paris' shoulder and lung. Paris gasped for air as the wind was knocked out of him. Mon went to retrieve his sword to give Paris the finishing blow when Paris suddenly slit Mon's throat with his own blade. Mon backed away stunned. He felt the blood on his neck and the danger he was in. He quickly teleported away from the battlefield back to his farm.
Paris was then brought back inside the walls of Constantbul where he was celebrated as a hero and immediately treated for his wounds.
A disgruntled Mon entered his tent fully healed from eating another senzu bean. Briseis gave Mon a look of horror believing her cousin, Paris, must be dead if Mon were still alive. She began to sob uncontrollably. "Calm your tits, woman, your cousin isn't dead, yet" Mon informed her.
"When does the fighting end?" Briseis asked him.
"Why would you want it to end?" Mon asked confused.
"I've made love to my country's greatest enemy. I feel like such a slut," Briseis said mournfully.
"Believe me, the only reason your cousin, Paris, is still alive is because of you," Mon assured her.
The next morning, the Greeks got back on their ships and left the beach. Priam, Paris, Glaucous, and Archeptolemus were present on the beach. Before them was a statue made of metal appearing vaguely similar to the Statue of Liberty. It had been constructed and welded together from destroyed Greek boats. "What the fuck is this?" Priam wondered of it.
"A peace offering?" Glaucous figured.
"Burn it," Paris advised.
"It's a modern-day art masterpiece. It should be in a museum," Acheptolemus argued.
"Yeah, fuck that. Father, burn it," Paris pressed.
Priam nodded and soon thereafter a laser beam cannon fired on the statue. It glowed hot and started to melt. Within the statue, an entire platoon began to scream in pain and try to escape. "Mother-fuckers," Glaucous shook his head dismayed.
The statue melted into a metal blob on the beach. "Good call, my son," Priam complimented Paris.
With the Greeks defeated in every possible way, the Turks celebrated in the streets of Constantbul with a parade. On a balcony, Paris and Kara watched the festivities. "Look at them. All celebrating my victory," Paris said arrogantly.
"Self-absorbed much?" Kara chided.
"I want the people to be proud of my accomplishments," Paris said defensively.
"I understand, believe me. You should have a parade for yourself, a Pride parade, so to speak," Kara told him.
"I think I will," Paris smiled.
That night, Mon teleported himself and his entire platoon inside Constantbul. "Remember the plan, purge those on the list, find my wife," Mon ordered Eudoros. Mon's men quickly went about purging the Turkish command killing their generals and leadership. "Shall we open the gates for the Greek army to come through?" Eudoros asked.
"And have them take our glory? I think not," Mon rejected.
Mon's men covertly went into the barracks, the university, and the capitol building killing all of the elites. They found King Priam in the library. Mon's men torched the place destroying the library.
"What in the name of science have you done?" Priam shouted at them. Eudoros stabbed Priam to death and continued his purge. Finally, Mon found Kara at Paris' apartment residence. She was in the courtyard wondering what was going on.
"Take this fucking necklace off me," Kara ordered him.
"I think...I'll take everything off but the necklace," Mon smirked. "I like you this way."
"You're an asshole. You could have saved me at any time, but you wanted to play. How many lives have been lost because of your Insane pride?" Kara scolded.
"I didn't start this war," Mon said defensively.
Paris then intervened with his super-sharp sword ready. "I'm tired of your bullshit. You end this now," Kara told Mon.
"Only if you let me have my science bitch," Mon negotiated.
"What? No!" Kara rejected.
"Well, I've assessed the situation and I'm going to leave now," Mon said, about to take off.
"Wait, who's your science bitch?" Kara asked curiously.
"Briseis," Mon replied.
"Paris' cousin?" Kara recalled. "Well...you can keep her so long as she's ours."
"That's fair," Mon agreed.
"She isn't going anywhere. I'm going to kill you for good right here, right now. Then, I'll have Kara scrubbing my floors," Paris said to him.
"If you truly love and care for me, you'll put your Insane pride aside for one battle and kill his ass," Kara beseeched him.
"I can beat him," Mon scoffed.
"No, you can't. When you're both at the same level, the human level, he's a better swordsman than you. You'll die this time and I'll be his slave," Kara said seriously. "Admit for once that this human, in this specific context, is better than you."
"And will you admit this human tricked you?" Mon asked skeptically.
"I... admit...fuck!" Kara tried it out.
"That's what I thought," Mon said unimpressed.
"He tricked me!" Kara said finally. "The human fooled me. You happy now?"
Mon eyed her carefully to see if she was serious and then went Super Insane. In a flash of golden light, Mon could be seen by all of Constantbul on Paris' apartment roof. Undeterred, Paris went for a swing at Mon. With his index finger alone, Mon stopped the super-sharp sword. Paris continued to swipe at Mon several times and was blocked each time with Mon's index finger. Mon then caught Paris' sword with his bare hand.
"How?" Paris asked horrified.
"Fuck you, that's how," Mon said and then fired a beam of light through his gut.
Paris hit the wall with a hole in his gut, mortally wounded. Mon then snapped Kara's necklace off and threw the Kryptonite aside. "We can make a deal. If you spare my life, I'll give you this city," Paris offered.
Mon pointed his hand at him unconvinced. "I'll give you the Armenians," Paris offered. Mon then blasted him, completely incinerating him.
The next morning, the Greek army marched into Constantbul and took control of the city. The fleet had never left as it had just sailed out of view. Also, that night, Agamemnon had tried to assault Briseis and ended up assassinated when she sliced his throat with a knife, a technique she had learned when she was with Mon. The Greeks desired to execute Briseis, but Mon intervened.
Finally, Orestes, son of Agamemnon, and Briseis met with Kara in the capitol building of Constantbul. "I'd like us all to be on the same page," Kara began. "Your father was an asshole. He sacrificed his daughter in a ritual human sacrifice thinking it would give him victory here and then had thousands of Greeks slaughtered in a war of personal greed," she said to Orestes.
"I acknowledge this," he replied.
"And your uncle and cousin were assholes for kidnapping me. And no matter how...pleasurable your cousin may have been to me, I couldn't properly consent," Kara said to Briseis.
"I know this," she agreed.
"Alright, so, Orestes will be the lieutenant governor of Greece. Briseis will be the lieutenant governor of the Turks," Kara promoted.
"Who will be the governor of our two great nations," Orestes said apprehensively.
"A guy named Alexander from Macedonia. He comes highly rated with references," Kara said vaguely. "Orestes, you are dismissed. Try to keep your men from murdering, raping, and pillaging while they're stationed here."
"As you wish, My Queen," he said as he exited.
Kara then looked out the window and saw the city in front of her. "In this conflict, I've come to understand that the name of this city is a hybrid of two ancient ages. It is time for something new, something different, something memorable."
"What do you have in mind?" Briseis asked apprehensively.
"How about...Troy," Kara smiled.
