Chapter Eighty: Let the Moment Go

Kimi's POV

The wedding was interesting, definitely not what Hunny and Reiko were planning by the looks of it, but it combined with the unusual scavenger hunt and thinking about these past few weeks, thinking about this whole year, gave me answers.

I'm getting out of this funk I'm in. I don't blame Kaoru for what he did, but I'm not going to go back to dating him. I like Kaoru, but maybe he isn't right for me. I need to know I'm not alone in the relationship. Although we just went out on dates, we never talked about an actual relationship or got to know each other on a deeper level. It all happened so fast that I didn't really give it much of a thought.

Was it all worth it?

Yes. Even if I just focus on Kaoru, it was still worth it. I had a lot of firsts and good moments with him and learned so much about life and about myself that will help me later to figuring out what I want. Counting everything in, I have somewhere I belong, a family who accepts me for who I am, people I can count on even when we're not getting along. I'm not alone.

Let those moments with Kaoru go, the good and the bad, but don't forget them for a moment though. Just remembering they've happened and when I'm back to normality, just makes it all mean more than it did before, and now I understand, and it's time to figure out what I want to do.

"Kimi, you're taking over for me today." Sumi said, popping her head in, "I'm taking a day off."

"Okay." I smiled at her and nodded. She needed the day off. She hadn't been feeling too well lately.

Sumi's POV

'Please let that damn thing be wrong.' I thought as I headed out the door. I was ready to take care of Hana. I'm ready to marry Takashi. I'm ready to be a family of three, family of four, not quite. I thought I would wait a little while before we got to that point. Well, at least the only person who I told was Yuki, it's not like she's going to say anything.

Yuki's POV

"Where'd Sumi go?" Kimi asked. We were playing palace with Takashi and Hikaru. Hikaru currently had almost half the deck in his hands.

"She had to go check on something." I replied, trying to figure out my next move.

"Check on what?" Kimi asked confused.

"You know that thing we get every month?" I asked.

"Yeah, what of it?" Kimi replied.

"It's late."

"Did she check it out?"

"Yeah."

"And now she's doing it again."

"Yeah."

"Didn't get the answer she wanted the first time?"

"Not really, no."

"What are you guys talking about?" Hikaru asked confused.

"Things." I replied dryly.

"Things?" Takashi asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I can't tell you, you'll have to wait until Sumi does." I told him, placing down a card, "It's your move."

Sumi's POV

"Well, it is as you thought, but official diagnosis is always good." The doctor said looking through his file, "You have options-"

"And I don't need to hear them, I just need to know what I need to do and what I need to pick up."

"Oh, well, I'll call it in." The doctor replied, startled.

Yuki's POV

"You know something." Takashi stated. It had gotten down to the two of us.

"I know a lot of things."

"You know what's going on with Sumi."

"I know what's going on with everyone."

"Yuki."

"I can't tell you, Takashi, you'll have to talk to her yourself."

"Can you at least tell me where she went?"

I couldn't really do that, could I? It would only worry him more than he already is. They spend all of their time together and she goes without even letting her know she's heading out, with pretty good reason, I guess, who am I to really judge what she does, she makes her own decisions and mistakes, I would have told him, but I'm not her, she's not me, and we're not each other, so we're gonna make different decisions.

"I can't, I'm sorry, Takashi."

"It's okay." Takashi replied, putting down a card.

"I can tell you she's okay" I told him, after debating what I could really tell him. It was better than nothing, I guess, that was what was really bothering him over all, the worrying and wondering if she was okay or not, "and she'll be back soon."

"Thank you."

Sumi's POV

When I got back, Tamaki, Haruhi, and Kaoru were watching a movie, Hikaru and Kimi were talking on the deck, Kyoya was on his computer, and Takashi and Yuki were playing cards.

"Takashi, I need to talk to you." I told him when I came over to them. He looked up to me and then looked down and nodded. We went to our room to talk privately. "How ready are you to have a family?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm pregnant."

"When do you want to get married?"

"What?"

"You asked me to marry you, when do you want to get married?"

"Your parents are against the marriage."

"I don't care." He replied, "Is tomorrow too soon?"

"No, I didn't want to do anything big, I didn't think we'd be getting married that soon, but if you want to get married that soon, I'm up for it."

"Then we get married tomorrow." Takashi replied, "I'll go make the calls." He left.

"What was that?" I asked myself confused after he left.
